i've noticed a morning frost starting to creep in during the cool and crisp 7am starts i've been having....though inevitably burned off quickly by the bright sun, it gives me hope that autumn is on its way.
now, not that i am wishing summer away, but i adore autumn; the leaves, the tingly air and the warm knits!

is purple the colour this autumn? i'm particularly loving these gorgeous dusky shades from gaiaconceptions, schmanda and celia birtwell at topshop

had a sudden flash of memory today whilst browsing purple knits - a bright raspberry wool took me straight back to being 15, walking through the autumn woods, wearing my favourite raspberry thick roll neck jumper, hand in hand with the new boyfriend.....wow, how time flies, and yet still the memory seems so fresh. i still have the jumper, though it is a little out of shape now...have been thinking about turning it into a cushion cover, but i haven't quite been able to bring myself to cutting it up yet.....

..for the first time in weeks, i've sat myself down and made some new jewellery designs. unfortunately i've had to take a little rest from making new pieces whilst i try to move house....well, now trying to find a house to move into after being horribly let down just days before moving - eek!

but, so glad i took time out from house hunting as i'm really pleased with the new designs...lots of yummy silver in lovely organic shapes teamed with labradorite, citrine and lilac coloured sage amethyst.  what with camera being broke (which insurance company have agreed to replace, yey!) there are no piccies just yet, but will definately be listing on etsy asap.

I really like the vintage feel of emma jeff's lace window film below, and you can order samples of the designs for just £3!......

i also stumbled across brume who do some fab window spotty and leaf window films:

but my absolute fave is by strossel design, not only is the view cute, but i can also pretend to unsuspecting guests that i am fabulously green fingered!

....do let me know if you've had any experiences with window film - i'm hoping they are as removable as claimed!

 i was so pleased to receive an email from lee may at bonbi forest indie emporium saying that they would like to sell my designs in their fabulous store! first off, their website is lovely, secondly - lee may's t-shirts rock, and thirdly - she makes the official 'bat for lashes' merch - wowwee!

these designs and more should be appearing in the store within the next couple of weeks.

isn't this condiment pot so pretty? i'm thinking maybe some nice chilli oil and some balsamic vinegar? lots of lovely white ceramics and silky throws at zara, perfect for my bedroom makeover that i hope to eventually get around to...one day.

and these little threads are for my new mushroom pins. in my prototype i used mint and cream thread, i was hoping for the detail to be subtle, but then changed my mind and thought it would be nice to have some bright contrast...

my new mushroom (toadstool? mushroom) pin is based on these fab illustrations that lovely Dawn drew up for me, designs which i hope will adorn some gocco'd cards that i hope to eventually get around to...one day....all arriving soon in my etsy shop!

but, how about this for romance...my friend's manfriend laid out a davinci code style treasure hunt, anagrams and all, with the 'x marks the spot' being a venician trip this weekend. wow.
