Biological, Vocational and Artistic Productivity from Human Beings is what drives all societal institutions. The more rational the institution the less likely force will be needed to extract the supporting types of productivity necessary to keep that institution moving forward.

The reason holy wars and crusades became expedient to certain religious institutions is because of their irrational basis for operation. The values they present to participants don't out weigh the loss of values participants suffer by moving under the jurisdiction of these bellicose institutions. Education has always been critical to the evaluation of such institutions by perspective productivity wellsprings. Religious indoctrination centers often pose as educational institutions of great renown. They don't (mis-) educate adults however. It is the children they are after; those not yet ready to stand in judgment of the institution's purpose, it's goal. The goal of all such institutions is to guarantee a future of biological, vocational and artistic productivity for it's own pool of human resources which it will expend to promote further irrationalities among the youth. These youth then grow up ready to mismanage entire economies simply because they have been trained to turn over valuable resources (via altruism) to fellow anti-life process endeavor zealots familiar to them from their socialization.

So, before we can talk about the moral hazard of rewarding corporate misbehavior, shall we speak about the moral hazard of mis-education?

Were you aware that NY Mayor Theorello LaGuardia had comissioned his own medical studies on cannabis and that the results showed that it was not harmful or disabling? "The truth about marijuana (3 parts). Check my favorite videos, google "plunk52o". The last character is an o(h) not a zero. Cla

"Consuetudo contra rationem introducta, potius userpatio quam consuetudo appelari debit." "A custom introduced which is contrary to reason ought rather to be called usurpation than a custom." Ballentines Law Dictionary.

Well, in the first place- the most emphisis in Objectivism is not on aesthetics. So people who have the cognition they want to be involved with art (differentiated from whim and non- value to man's life) are interested in what Ayn Rand thinks about art as a value to man's life from metaphysics on out. I was glad to find what I did, for myself. If others can't run with that- oh well!

"An artist does not fake reality, he stylizes it. He selects those aspects of existence which he regards as metaphysically significant- and by isolating and stressing them, by omitting the insignificant and accidental, he presents his view of existence. His concepts are not divorced from the facts of reality, - they are concepts which integrate the facts and his metaphysical evaluation of the facts". Ayn Rand Lexicon pg. 150
In"Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand" by Doctor of Philosophy Leonard Piekoff I found the following: "The subject of an art work," writes Ayn Rand, "expresses a view of man's existence, while the style expresses a view of man's consciousness. The subject reveals an artist's metaphysics, the style reveals his psycho-epistemology." pg 442. Dr. Piekoff continues; In Ayn Rand's words, style reveals an artist's implicit view of the mind's "proper level of functioning." the level "on which the artist feels most at home." Ayn rand discusses style in chapters 3,4 and 5 of "The Romantic Manifesto." With respect to literary style, Dr. Piekoff states, "information may be found in her 1958 Lectures on fictional writing."
