Duncan Jones sci-fi movie 'Moon' was nominated seven times at the British Independent Film Awards announced Monday 26th October 2009 in London!
As well as being nominated for Best film,Best Director,Best Debut Director,Best Actor,Best Screenplay and Production Design,I'm very excited to tell you that I was nominated in the Technical Achievement category for my score for 'Moon'!!

Got back to LA last night after a wonderful trip to London & Tenerife!

The show at the beautiful Union Chapel,Islington,London on July 20th was incredible!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and to everyone that has mySpace'd,Facebooked and/or Tweeted me to express their appreciation and enjoyment!Many,many thanks indeed,its most appreciated!

We also played a show in Tenerife at the Film Festival there!Again,another beautiful venue,a wonderful crowd and a great way to end what has been an intense few months for me.

I'd like to thank my band for being so great!My crew for working so hard,Metropolis for making the London show happen and Pedro in Tenerife for getting the whole shebang started!!

I look forward to playing some more shows sometime in the future-so watch this space!

I'm looking forward to an extended break for a while,its been a hectic 18 months.
I've just finished two new scores for films that will be coming out sometime soon...

'L'Affaire Farewell' is a cold war thriller that will be at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

'Last Night' is a contemporary drama starring Keira Knightly that will be released next year.

More on these as the time of their release approaches....

'Moon' has been incredibly well-received!We're all ecstatic at the response-and don't forget the OST is available on vinyl,CD and as a digital download.

Greetings Earthlings!

I beam this message to you from beyond the stars!Well,from Kemits place on La Brea,to be precise!But Kermits a star,no?

My score to 'Moon' will be released on July 20th!!

Brought to you by the friendly folk at Black Records,it will be available on vinyl,CD and as a digital download!

In fact,Kermits just informed me that it will be available on iTunes from July 13th!!A full seven days,thats ONE WEEK!,before anywhere else!!

If you haven't seen 'Moon' yet,and want to get an idea of what the score sounds like,I have posted 'Welcome to Lunar Industries(Three Year Stretch)' to my mySpace player!Hope you like it!

'Moon' recently won the Michael Powell Award for Best British Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival!!Nice!

Greetings Party People!!

I will be performing live in London,England July 20th 2009 at Union Chapel.

As you may know,I performed at the World Soundtrack Awards in Belgium last October.I really enjoyed bringing music from the films I have scored into a live setting and I can't wait to perform at the beautiful Union Chapel in London.

The live line-up is a nine-piece band featuring the Sonus Quartet from Los Angeles and also piano,guitars,bass and drums.We play music from Pi,Requiem for a Dream,The Fountain and The Wrestler as well as some new material,yet to be released.

I'm going to post a couple of live pieces from the Belgium show on here shortly so you can get an idea of what its all about!

I'm really excited about coming to London!

'The Wrestler',Darren Aronofskys latest film starring Mickey Rourke as a washed up pro-Wrestler has won three awards at todays Independant Spirit Awards in Los Angeles,California!

Best Film,Best Male Actor and Best Cinematography were all won by the film!!

Awesome!!Congratulations to everyone involved in this film!!

So how come they don't have a fuckin' music category!!

Anyway,I think the Awards show will be playing on IFC for a while and Mickey Rourkes acceptance speech is one for the books!!

Hopefully,I'll be back tomorrow to report that Mickey took the Oscar too!!

As this year draws to a close I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year!I hope its a great year full of health and happiness,accomplishment and surprise for us all!I had an interesting 2008,did some new things that I loved-like my live concert in Belgium-and some new things that I didn't like-got fired off a film for the first time!Actually,it wasn't so bad!!Hahaha!I did manage to finish three films this year-which will be coming your way in 2009.First up,The Wrestler,is out any day now in various places around the world.And the score will be released very shortly-I'll do a specific blog about that in the next week or so!Then theres Moon-which will be at Sundance 2009.The music will also be released to coincide with the moviw around April,I believe.Also,The Rebound-a romantic comedy-written and directed by Bart Freundlich.This si the third time we have worked together(World Traveler,Trust the Man).Not sure of the release on this one but I'll keep you in the loop!Next year?Well,I hope there'll be some more live concerts,more music,more everything!!A Happy New Year to you all and as Phil used to say on the Hill'Lets be careful out there!'Clint
