Yeh bloggers.. a thousand pardons for the lack of Myspace action..I have been having some serious problems with the music section on my page..all sorted and straightened out now, I'm pleased to report...so where to begin?? I have uploaded a new tune!! Weekend Cruise is collaboration with the the cool kids that are Punx Soundcheck/ Chanty Poe. The track was recorded a few months ago at The Kitchen by Dougie Chatts. the tune will appear on the Chanty Poe LP which is out right fucking now... A friend of mine spotted a review of the album in UK's Uncut Magazinze and I found a few others online....

Chanty Poe - Yeahh

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

"Afir salih and john taylor- no, not that one -have been beavering away at their party-primed electro as PUNX soundcheck for 10 years. yeahh marks their debut as CHANTY POE and with its mash of ghetto tech, bassline ,nu-ravee and electro rap, its a certain party soundtrack. a riot of absurdly squelchy synths, shrieking sirens and monstrously distored basslines, with guest MCs MissOddKIDD AND C.monts upping the hipster ante, its easily makes up in size and swagger what in lacks in smarts..

Rating: 4/5
uncut 2008"

---------------------------
Chanty Poe's Yeahh is a heavyweight contender for debut album of the year - if not the decade.

Punx Soundcheck's sinister alter ego Chanty Poe grabs the zeitgeist by the cajones with this rave-flavoured collision of electro, hip hop, bassline, and party techno. Rising stars MissOddKidd and C. Monts make guest appearances on the tracks Bang Bang and Weekend Cruise respectively, and a remix by acid house royalty S-Express concludes this 10 track monster - the first album to be released on Tobias Doppelganger's rapidly ascending Hottwerk Records. From a handful of early promos, the tracks YesNoMaybe and Germs Are People have already been blowing up dancefloors across Europe from Parisian boat parties to Bulgarian festivals to seedy London basements.

---------------------------------

'Yeahh' by Chanty Poe takes and borrows from just about every dance music sub-genre to pool an eclectic electro work that should be acceptable to anyone who likes modern electro-biased dance. From drum and bass to industrial there's something here to suit all-comers; 'Yeahh' may take risks in its refusal to go in a straight line down one sub-genre but it's inspired for its potential ability to satiate the masses rather than the few. From smooth, cruisin' melodies right through to sparse industrial sounds and jaggedly angular outpourings - suck it and see - you're bound to be drawn in and things may never be the same again. Certainly, 'Yeahh' is a pretty versatile work; it doesn't take any prisoners and it sure don't fall short when it comes to originality and 'world' dance themes. Chanty Poe's bubbling, seething cauldron of electro grooves is bold as brass yet as soft as a feather pillow and as cool as chocolate milk-shake. 'Yeahh' actually forces this issue of genre definition as it gives you, on a plate, just about everything you could ask for. If grindin' out to digital beats, synthesized orchestration and sonic 'noise' is your bag then Chanty Poe makes the choices easy for you - just pick up 'Yeahh' and he's giving you the lot in one tiny but definitive package.

------------------------------------
'Yeahh' by Chanty Poe lifts you up and doesn't let you back down - this album is rammed to over-flowin' with punchy vibes and scintillating grooves - an all-or-nothing outing of massive proportions - a compendium of modern dance music to kick off to, to be absorbed in, to be amazed at. 'Yeahh' by Chanty Poe is everything any self-respecting electro lounge-lizard or dance freak could ask for - a vibrant trip across the electro dance spectrum - a cool but effervescent digital outing for the mind and the body.

--------------------------------

Yeh things are happening..I’m hitting the King apparel party @ Cargo 2morra night..the line up looks good…expect images on the EBS site…then it’s on to Switzerland on Friday Morning with the Monorex/Secret Wars heads. I think it’s some kind of super corporate Watch Fair (biggest in the world no less) where the illustration champions Teck 1 & Wen will be battling with music provided by Myself & Reeps 1. Expect all images of the day and the after party @ www.yo-ebs.com

I have posted my interview with Inja (Delegates Of Culture) for Bbarak on the EBS site so go and check it out..he speaks a lot of sense.

I got myself a few preview albums through the post last week. Twisted Link’s Discombobulated..Ali Lingo & Dougie Chatts drop the glitchy science!! Long time friends No Wonder..drop their LP with a completely different sound.. Also Jack Flash posted me a copy of his forthcoming LP..I aint listened to it yet..gonna hold it down until the Swiss mission..it’s always nice to travel with new music on your Ipod.

Big up’s to Joel B & T for the good night out last Sunday..IMR no sleep..Rest in peace Frank Butcher..true meaning of the word galiss..

That is all.
