April 4, 2009 I will be participating in the 4th Annual Art Gala for Charity hosted by Cloud 9 Salon & Spa and The Grotto. The gala benefits the Children's Advocacy Center for Denton County. In a continuing effort to promote my art work, I will be displaying 4 pieces at the Lewisville State Bank in Old Town Lewisville. The bank is located at 191 W. Main Street. These 4 pieces will be on display for the month of September. Currently I have 6 pieces hanging at Tierney's Tavern in Lewisville until the end of October. In the beginning of October my work will be displayed at Blue Anjou, also located in Old Town Lewisville. If you are in town please stop in and have a look. I haven't written a blog in awhile so I thought I would get back to it. So, this past Sunday I hung some of my artwork at Tierney's Tavern, in Old Town Lewisville, with 3 other artists. They are talking about putting together an artist's reception, I don't have any details but when I do I will let everyone know. Anyway, if you are in Lewisville and are looking for a place for lunch or dinner stop into Tierney's and check out my work! 

The 3rd Annual Art Gala for charity was held this past Saturday night at Cloud 9 Salon & Spa in Flower Mound. It was a wonderful night!! I want to thank my friend Hunter for taking all the photos for the event, he did an awesome job!! He has a great eye for photography! I also want to thank my friend Karren, her husband Steve and Hunter's girlfriend Jennifer for being there as well.

I ended up selling 4 pieces that night, 3 in the general sale and one in the silent auction. So, it was exciting for me. We also ended up buying a painting from one of the other artists. It was a great night for the charity!

Last December I sponsored a garden in the Blooming Beds of Bulbs at the Dallas Arboretum. This afternoon they had a reception for the donors and honorees. My garden was in honor of my grandparents. The reception was nice, wine, food, music, and it was weather was perfect. Here are a few photos of my garden, more shots of the flowers to follow......

To all my friends in the DFW and surrounding area, please consider attending this event. Tickets are $25.00, they go on sale March 17th. It's for a very worthy cause, PediPlace in Lewisville. They give health care to children that do not have health insurance. I am one of the exhibitors this year so I am very excited, it gives me a chance to give back to the community through my art.
