So I was thinking about how shit changes. I read an obituary for Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and was remembering when I thought he sucked. And the reason I thought he sucked was because my high school english teacher, Mr. Kelliher made us read God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater. And since Mr. Kelliher sucked, the book sucked. School sucked. English sucked. Pretty much everything sucked. Looking back though, Mr. Kelliher was probably the best teacher I ever had. I should track him down and thank him. He didn't make us read the bullshit that everyone else read. At the time, that was one of the reasons he sucked. I couldn't just listen to the rest of the school talk about the lame book and answer multiple choice questions about it. What an ass (BTW, he was also the only teacher that ever caught on to my awesome BS skillzz and called me on it, thus proving his awesomeness a decade later).

But as I read about Vonnegut dying, it made me think about how great of a writer he is/was and how I never thought so until semi-recently. So now that he'd dead, everyone should pay tribute to him by going out and buy, borrow, or steal a Vonnegut book and read it. And then tell your friends about it. Just go read a fucking book actually. In respect of Vonnegut, shut off your reality TV, forget about Sanjaya, and read a good book. Hell, read a bad book, its still better than the Sandy Vagina on Idol.

And i've gotten off track, which means its time to stop typing. cuz otherwise i'm gonna start babbling.

Okay, so I received this myspace message and thought it was one of those spam mails that tries to trick you into responding so they can spam the shit out of you. anyways, i didn't think anything of it, until i realzied it was a response to my anna nicole smith blog where i commented about how she was a waste of life and i basically didn't care that she died (quite the opposite, since the title of the blog was "i'm glad she's dead", go read it, it's great). anyways, now i find this hilariouser (and yes, i'm gonna make up words since i think it fits the email that i received.

okay, now for my comments.obviously she is not missed by her family since it's a bunch of semi-friends and family that are fighting over her kid that noone wanted until it was the inheritor of her estate. so she's not loved by anyone other than losers that love nascar and fatties. and yeah, i'm jealous that i didn't get to marry a 90 year old crippled geezer. and if i did, i'd have the decency to admit afterwards that it wasn't 'for love' as she claims. cuz i'm pretty sure if he was broke her gold digging ass wouldn't have married him. and if i have issues, at least i don't call people i disagree with gay. that's like the old hitler argument. when you bring it up its because you don't have anything else to say. okay, so you think i shouldn't have been so harsh, but how does that make me gay? what makes a dude gay is when he loves the penis, not when he hates fat obnoxious chicks. lots (actually most) straight dudes hate fat obnoxious chicks. it's pretty common. and yes, i have no inteligence, which is why i am adisgrass to my mother. but at least i don't disgrace her as well, becuase that would be unforgiveable. but alas, maybe i can move to a country where hatred can smell me. cuz hatred usually smells people. cuz it has a sense of smell.

But since i'm the pathetic loser, i guess i should go and read random peoples blogs that i don't know and tell them that they're gay because they don't like the stuipidity that is so rampant in america. and the usa needs people that agree with me and that don't love anna nicole smith.and maybe loving someone that actually contributes to society. since the whole point of my blog was that i couldn't understand why everyone was so broken up over the fact that an out of shape waste of life that did nothing useful died. i can understand when a 'hero' dies or a useful person like a doctor dies, or even a 'pretty' person like a derek jeter dies and someone misses them. at least they served some purpose. what purpose did she serve? she served an anti-purpose cuz if her gold digging ass didn't take rich fucks money, then maybe he would have started some foundation like the derek zoolander center for kids that don't read too good. and maybe one of those kids could have done something useful.....like kill all the fatties.

Why is there this sudden outpouring of shock and concern for Anna Nicole Smith? Where did the shock come from? She is, sorry was, a bloated pig of a woman that didn't care for herself physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Wow, she died, didn't see that coming! *sarcasm*

When she was alive, noone gave a shit about her, or if people did, is was so they could laugh at how pathetic she was. She was a dirty tramp of a whore. She married some ancient dude that was loaded so that when he croaked, she could get a ton of money. Oh, that's right, it was for love. my bad.

Her show was just her being obnoxious and annoying and people watched it just so they could laugh at her, not with her, AT her. She was an out of shape annoying waste of life. Maybe the only reason people are feeling this 'concern' is that they are feeling guilty over laughing at her for the last decade..

Well, I for one, am glad that she's dead. More useless people need to die. There's too many people on this planet and the reason for half (or more) of our problems are teh number of people. kill the useless people and maybe the useful ones can actually make the world stop sucking.

well, it seems that 1400 people have decided to read my blog. now that confuses me as most of my blogs are not that interesting (take this one for example). I mean, I know I got a ton of hits for my now infamous "deer" blog and the "ten commandments of andyism" but that still seems like a lot of views. So anyone that's reading this, you should put a comment on why you read my blog. do you read it cuz you're bored? do you read it because you actually care what I'm thinking? do you read it because I amuse you, am I a clown to you? Or is it some COMMMMMBOOOnation of the above, or some other reason entirely. Thngs that make me go hmmm....

p.s. you should still keep reading my blog, because I do believe that I will save the world at some point, so my words *are* important.

I'm talking to my friend at the shop the other day and we're discussing music and it got me thinking. I've always had what's been deemed 'odd' taste. There's 'good' bands i like and there's 'shit' bands that I like. People always ask me why I like band A but can't stand band B, everyone that likes A likes B. yadda yadda. And I think I finally figured it out. We were discussing Aerosmith, who used to be one of my favorite bands, and now I won't listen to anything new by them, because Crazamazicrying was just too damn much. Put the Ballad down. Step away from the sappiness.

Now, Aerosmith put out what is universally considered a shit album by the name of Done With Mirrors, and this is actually one of my favorites (Night in the Ruts is however the best, not Toys in the Attic, sorry people). Anyways, i'm trying to figure out why I thought this album was so much better than the others. This was deemed such garbage that they didn't even stick it in their nifty box set. The production values on it are complete jank, it was mostly first and second takes, and then it hit me. That's why I like it. Because its not a fucking studio album. One of my most despised bands of all time is Smashing Pumpkins because billy corrigan and crew cannot do anything without a studio full of equipment. Enough equipment and you can make me sound good (and everyone that's heard me sing knows how fucking impressive that is!!).

So i'm thinking of all the wierd shit that I like, and I like it because it's 'real'. I'm thinking of the time I saw Aerosmith down at the meadows and they had this 15 or 16  year old kid playing before the show, who just played with such fucking raw emotion that I decided he was on par with Jimmi fucking Hendrix (when I first heard him I thought the radio was still playing and I freaked because there was a hendrix tune I hadn't heard!). This blonde haired blue eyed little white boy was playing the most amazing bluesy guitar i've ever heard live, and possibly ever period. He was that good. He's since gone on and become kind of a big deal (jonny lang for those that like good music).

I would much rather listen to a local band play at a dive then to hear 99% of the people with recording contracts play. They just don't give a shit. There's no emotion in their music anymore. I don't care what the lyrics are. I don't care how well they can hit that E chord (that's for you AC/DC, i love your shit, but can you play another chord, just fucking once). I would rather see a local band like  Angry Jonny, The Room or Drunk Stuntmen play cuz they like playing than listen to a 'great' band like U2, Pearl Jam, or even my (formerly) beloved Aerosmith, who are just showing up for the paycheck.

What got me thinkng about this more today was I was listening to the bastard fairies today while working and I was trying to figure out why I liked them so much (thanks nikki btw for introducing me to their awesomeness BTW). I should hate this poppy bullshit and then thinking back to my discussion earlier this week was when it finally hit me, I want to feel something from music. I like to listen to certain music at certain times. I use music as a mood enhancer/setter. I don't listen to thrash metal when I'm chiling out, no matter how much I like it. I don't listen to chill music when I working out, no matter how much I like it. I like wierd Al, he makes me feel light hearted and happy. I like Manu Chow (sp?) he makes me feel chill. I like Rollins, cuz he makes me feel pissed at the world. All these people make me feel something and they aren't just packaged shit that we consume ad naseum. They aren't different just to be different. They aren't anti-establishment because it's cool and scene to do so. Sex Pistols didn't rage so they could sell t-shirts, they raged cuz they were pissed (drunk and high too, but that was cuz they were pissed too).

Anyways, tha'ts my random blog/rant of the day. Listen to something that makes you feel something, not because 'the songwriter is a genius' or because a few million was spent packaging shit together. Wrap shit up with fancy lyrics and sweet riffs, but guess what? It's still shit.

So i'm watcing the news last night and saw what's pretty much the most fucked up thing ever. There's this story of a little girl in chicopee that was raped and the fuckwad that did it was convicted. Here's where it gets fucked up (yeah, cuz that wasn't fucked up). The guy gets sentenced to house arrest. He doesnt need to go to jail. He rapes a little girl (i think she was 9ish when this happened) and doens't need to go to jail!!! WTF!!! Oh wait, it's not done being fucked up. Did I forget to mention that the little girl he raped was his neighbor. Oh yeah, and the judge will let him go in his yard. So now this little girl has to see the fuck that raped her EVERY FUCKING DAY!!!! How the hell is this allowed? I've known people that have gone to jail for doing FAR less fucked up shit than that and this waste of flesh gets to stay home and hang out in his front yard and watch the ltitle kid he raped whenever he wants.  WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH OUR SOCIETY!?!?!?!?!!?!?

So I haven't written a rant in a while and the complaints have been pouring in (okay, not really, like 2 people noticed, but still.) so here is my anti-happy holiday rant

Okay, so i just want to say that I hate the phrase "happy holidays". That is just so inicative of our "dont offend anyone" culture that we have. If you're a christian, just tell people to have a merry christmas. If you're jewish, wish people a happy chanukah.  If someone wishes you a happy ramadan and you don't celebrate it, don't get pissed, just smile and accept it for the spirit it was given in. Or better yet, if you're a christian and you know someones a jew, wish THEM a Happy Chanukah, and if you're the jew wish the OTHER guy a happy christmas! It's not rocket science people. Stop being so damn sensitive about bullshit. It's why our society is fucked up. Oh no, watch what you say, you might offend someone by wishing them a good morning, didn't you know they were a night-owl? Fuck Happy Holidays. Have a Merry Fucking Christmas! And if you don't celebrate Christmas, then have yourself a Merry Monday and enjoy either your day off from work or your holiday pay and shut the fuck up.
