Current mood:Hung-over with a stomach of crap
Well, yesterday was my birthday (24th...ehh...) and it turned out to be an actually good day. I mean it was actually better than the usual trudge of everyday. I went out with my folks and got a new computer chair (and a mat for it that cost more than it did...). Had McDonald's for lunch, which isn't unusual in itself, but I haven't had a meal with the 'rents at Macca's in years. It made the day just a little bit special. Don't look at me like that!
Anyway, other than drinking an Ice Break Loaded that may or may not have been past it's use by date, I went to Gilhooley's with my bro and his chums, along with a couple of friends of my own. Now, I usually go to the pub every Friday (it used to be Thursday, but an end to Karaoke night put an end to that), but I felt like doing something different for my birthday.
Now, me and my chums went down ahead of the rest, and we found we couldn't get in with cargo pants after 10pm, which meant we had to have other pants (that weren't tracksuit pants, as they're obviously not allowed, either) sent down to us, and change in the back of a Lancer. Oh well, at least we remembered pants at all...
So yeah, we had some drinks, did some things, and had a good time. I ended up getting some stuff from the nearby Mobil when we left - they had 2 600mL Cokes for $5! I also bought a couple of Toblerones and an elongated pie that was pretty damn good. All in all, it doesn't get much better than that.
Now to go to Disneyworld...

Current mood:Bemused with a knee of bees
(From coramaximus.com) Welcome to the year 2009 (I know it's February, just bare with me, here...) This year hopes to be a good year, but alas, another may go without realised dreams of being a tyre, as well as without being any good. There's nothing slated for semester 1, and I'm not sure I'll be ready for uni, come sem 2. Job-wise, I don't think I'll ever be ready, so yeah - I'm back to this. AV In - To start with...Transformers 2. The first was awesome, and June will tell whether the 2nd lives up to expectations or succumbs to sequel syndrome. Then there's Futurama 4/4: Into The Wild Green Yonder, which hopefully, will be better than "Bender's Game", which was ok, at best. Nothing else comes to mind, right now... AV Out - Sonic Slam's at 160, I upgraded the coramaximus main page, last month...that's about it, unfortunately, unless I can think of something else to put up. ...and actually get myself to do it - ih, that would be the bee's knees, alright! ...mmmm...bee's knees... TODAYS LINKS (WHY NOT?):I just ate a grape and I might accidentally get killed

Current mood:Clubbed with a dance of lap
Well, I have left behind week three of (hopefully) my last semester of TAFE, and so far, despite having three classes a week, I've only been to two classes, total. Mostly because I'm not actually required to go to two of them, but partially because the teacher hasn't bothered showing up for any of the third. Needless to say, this will be a ferociously weird semester.
Ended up going into the valley, Saturday night (Fortitude Valley for anyone that doesn't live anywhere near it), with my brother and some of his friends (one was female, so it wasn't a complete sausage-fest). At first we walked into town, back to the valley, and back into town looking for a place called "The Mercury", only to find it closed (rebuilding or something, I dunno). So we ended up at the Treasury Casino. Had a couple of Coronas, there, because they didn't have any Extra Dry (ingrates).
Then we took a cab back to the valley (it was a back-and-forth evening), and went to Rockafellas (paying $10 just to get in - cover charge - definitely not something that would attract me to go clubbing too often). I suppose, overall, it was worth it to dance poorly with flashing lights everywhere, pay for overpriced drinks, and try, pretty much fruitlessly, to have a good time.
Although, at one point, I twice received something one might classify as a free lap dance, in the literal sense that the female (and she was female) was dancing above (pretty much fully on) my lap, for the most part. Needless to say, it was hot (like, hope-I-don't-get-a-boner-and-make-this-awkward hot).
...and since I couldn't possibly have anything better to add, I'll just end it there.

Current mood:Done with a six-pack of doughnuts
Well, sir, I finished my last days of yet another semester at TAFE, last week. With two last assignments handed in, and one last book taken back to the campus library, I don't have to worry about nothing for a few weeks.
I went into town on Friday, with a couple of friends (who I shall hereby refer to as Dan and Ryan, for no particular reason), to see "Get Smart". I won't tell you how it goes - partially so I don't spoil it for anyone - mostly because I wish to lord it over those who haven't seen it, yet. I will say that it is a pretty good movie, and I enjoyed it, quite a bit.
Afterwards, we visited the Krispy Kreme for the first time (Here in my city, of my country, there is only two, and they're relatively new). I had been to one at the airport, in Sydney, but this experience was different. Ryan, and to a lesser extent Dan) had his first Krispy Kreme doughnut.
...he did not die.
I ended up with 6 original glazed, of which I ate four, right there.
Pancreas don't fail me, now...
Overall, it was a good, dougnutty experience for all of us.
Sunday, I picked up my copy of Super Smash Brothers Brawl (which had come out on the Thurday). So far, I've been playing through the adventure mode, and from what I've seen, it's fairly good. I haven't gotten into any other modes, except for the challenge mode, so there's still a bit to cover before giving a more thorough opinion of it.
The only other thing I have left of any interest is that I now have a Voyager class Animated Starscream in my Transformers collection. The end.

Current mood:Vengeant with a kick of a vending machine
(Wow, two posts in three days, how 'bout that...)
This little story continues the little crap-tale of my last post, and altogether, it pisses me right off. This morning, I barely caught the bus (It waited for me, which was nice), only to find that I'd forgotten to get sufficient change - the lowest I had, other than 70c, was two $20 notes. So I had to go home, get change, and catch the next bus, an hour later.
Unfortunately, I was going down to the stop to catch the next bus, and it started to rain. I had to wait in said rain for at least five minutes, leaving my jacket and pants fairly wet for a while, and leaving me fairly cold for the rest of the day.
Needless to say, my day sucked.
Now, you're probably thinking "Why do I care what this git thinks?". Well, I'm going to ignore that - lest I go on some sort of murderous, yet somehow humourous, rampage - and answer the question "What has this got to do with my last, equally pointless, post?"
Well, I'll tell you why - had the damn machine not eaten up $3, I would have had the frikking change, and my day would only be sorta crap, like it usually is. Stupid Coke machine...
It just goes to show ya - anyone (or anything) selling anything good is out to screw you.

Current mood:Apathetic with a scratch of ripped off
Well, as June rolls over, my third semester of TAFE (fourth if you count that bunch of crap I call my first foray into TAFE education, whereupon I failed, miserably and gave up on it, because the course was FUBAR'D, anyway...) is coming to a close. With nought but an assessment, and some other stuff I probably won't get done, and may decide to put off until next semester...well, there's not much left to say about that.
The guys that are in my classes are all younger than me (I think), since I'm 23, and we all seem to live far apart from each other, which doesn't really let us do much together, but oh well, I'm not that social, anyway...*sigh*
The canteen/tuck shop/food-hole closes mid afternoon, which sucks for me because I've had mostly night classes that start at 6. And the coke machine is either rarely stocked, like last semester, or out of change (I lost $3 today, because one of my fifty cent coins kept getting stuck, and on a couple of occasions, I ended up spending $3.80 on a $3.30 bottle because they were out of 50s...damn 12-sided demons...).
Well, it looks like I'll have four weeks, starting next week, before I go back for, hopefully, my last semester. I'm not sure what I'll do, otherwise. I have a site that needs stuff to put in it, but that's about it, really...

Current mood:Lazy with a thing of blank
(Taken from http://coramaximus.blogspot.com/2008/05/goal-2-complete.html) Ok, cool. With the latest comic up at this dumb site, I have finally (you know... after what...FIVE YEARS!!) gotten SonicJesus J. McSlamSauce up to 125. Go me, or something. SOMETHING!! (Ehh, whatever, nobody actually reads this, anyway...) Now to just do something about 4 (since 3's already done, as you know... you don't? OMG, that's weird!). That site is a sort of joint project with a friend of mine, so it's not going to be so easy to put up. Collaboration is required, since it's the new sensation, these days. Newgrounds told me so, and it never lies unless I blam something, which I do, but that's not the point...

Current mood:Annoyed with a Bonecrusher of hatred
A couple of weeks, I found myself looking around the treacherous waters that make up ebay, looking for some things that I couldn't find anywhere else (as is the custom). I ended up bidding on/purchasing a few things, and all was seemingly well, because money was not an issue. However, when I looked to pay with Paypal, I found that my card had been removed and banned from the system, for seemingly no reason. I had to fix this problem or risk negative feedback, and worse, not being able to pay, at all. I sent an email to rectify the problem, but it took a few days to get any kind of response. I ended up adding a bank account that, itself, took a few days. Then I was able to make payments, but instead of the Instant Payment I would have preferred, the default payment type was eCheck, which took about a week to go through (the Anzac Day holiday didn't help things). By the 28th, I had finally paid off my debts, but I can't say I'm too thrilled with the service I got from paypal, recently.
I give it four butts...

Current mood:Jaded, with a something of interest
Category: Games
Well, I recently got around to getting a Wii - the shipment came in last Thursday, so I got it the next day. So far, apart from the Wii Sports game(s) that come(s) with the console, itself, I have purchased a Sonic game and a Mario game (funnily enough). Sonic (and The Secret Rings) is fairly good, but the controls can be annoying at times, and Mario (Galaxy) is actually pretty fun, I can see why it has recieved such a high score (at Gamespot, at least). As for Wii Sports, it's good for parties, I guess, but you should watch how much effort you put into things...I kinda wrecked at least one of my arms playing the game(s)...

Current mood:Living with an pwnage of n00bs
Summary of 2007
Mostly TAFE, Transformers and Karaoke. Other than my education, my Transformers collection, and how I spend my Thursday evenings, nothing notable really happened, last year...if it did, I'm sure I'd remember it. I bought a lot of CDs and DVDs; watched a lot of movies at the cinema, including the new Transformers movie (twice), which I thought was pretty awesome; put my sprite comic, Sonic Slam, on hiatus in February; and otherwise did diddly. My resolution, if I remember correctly, was to have a better NYE for 07->08 than the last (06->07), and I've done that. This year, my resolutions are: to finish my TAFE education and to buy a Nintendo Wii. Not quite as easy as last year's (considering how bad that NYE was...), but I have majority confidence...I think...
2 Pwn Or Not 2 Pwn
Recently, thanks to a documentary by Hak5 on their podcast, I discovered the wonderful world of Pure Pwnage (pronounced 'pure ownage'), which can be found at http://purepwnage.com. It's a show about a film school student who's doing this show about his brother, a guy who calls himself the pwnerer ('ownerer'), and likes to pwn ('own') n00bs ('noobs') at video games - yeah, he's one of those gamers. It doesn't start off too awesome, or anything, but like most things, it gets better as it goes along, bringing in new characters, wild plot elements, and even people who have become fans of this show (within the show). If you are any sort of gamer, even a real casual one, like me, this is for you - it covers a few genres, mostly RTS, FPS, and a little MMO, but like they say - "To truly pwn, you must pwn at all games.".
I give it an 8.5/10.
