there are two kittens whose mother was killed by a car in Lebanon County near Jonestown, PA. They appear to be 2 or 3 weeks old, one male, one female; and are currently on formula, but their rescuer can't keep them.

The shelter in that area is NOT a No-Kill shelter, and turning the kittens over to them is a sure death sentence.

Please help get the word out - these kittens need a safe home, temporary or permanent.

The Crowgrrl highly recommends that you check out one of the most fun programs on the web: Count Gore’s Creature Feature at www(dot)Countgore (dot) com. There’s something new every week, so check back often!

This week, Count Gore brings you collector and film expert Bob Burns on “The Rack”. Mark J. Gross talks with actor Andrew Prine in “The Atrium”. The TombKeeper reviews two books in “The Tomb”, and announces the Stoker Winners in “The Library”.

Dita Dirt Nap continues the June “Bride” themewith “Brides of Blood” in “Dita’s Den”. Prof. Griffin has a tribute to England’s newest Knight – Sir Christopher Lee – in “The Pit”. And Yours Truly gets into the movie The Devil’s Muse along with the music behind it in “The Chamber” and interviews director Ramzi Abed by “The Moat”.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I'm no longer at Gothic Beauty. Anyone who wants to contact me, don't use the GB e-mail addy - it's not going to work nor forward to me.

However, the Crowgrrl's Perch (which had been put on the back burner because of GB deadlines) will be kicking into full force once again! I'm also still writing a bi-weekly music column for Count Gore's Creature Feature, and there's other exciting news on the horizon I'll be sharing with everyone soon!

Neonfly has entered another unsigned competition - to play at Bloodstock this time.

On the website they have this voting competition where bands upload videos and people vote for them. 3 winners will play at the festival. Trouble is you gotta register to vote, but registration only involves filling 3 things really quickly. To vote you need to rate the video.

This is an awesome song, and The Crowgrrl highly recommends it! Please help Neonfly out by voting. (I already have myself!)

........................

April’s Full Moon is known in
folklore as either  the Seed Moon, the Pink Moon, Sprouting Grass
Moon
, Egg Moon, and Fish Moon.....

.. ..

Let’s explore that a little
more, shall we? Seed and Sprouting Grass are evident – grass and other plants
are starting to push their way above the previously winter-crusted soil and are
growing. Pink Moon follows that, as wild ground phlox, which is pink, starts to
grow as well – it’s one of the earliest widespread Spring flowers. ....

.. ..

For those of us who are
attuned to wildlife, the Egg Moon and Fish Moon make sense logically, too.
Birds are nesting. Shad fish come upstream to spawn. ....

.. ..

Obviously, this is a time of
New Beginnings and Personal Growth. Keep this in mind with your Full Moon
ceremonies/workings. Plant a seed, let it grow, figuratively. ....

.. ..

(Granted, this info/logic is
for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Those in the Southern Hemisphere, I
recommend Reversing the traditional “Wheel of the Year” set up traditionally in
the Northern Hemisphere. This would be Southern Hemisphere’s “October” – a time
of harvest. Same for the Sabbats – for instance, celebrate Midsummer instead of
Yule in December, and vice versa when June rolls around.) ....

.. ..

Ways to enhance your Full
Moon ceremonies this time around: add some Spring flowers to your temple area.
Devilled Eggs make a perfect treat to add to your Feast – or maybe adding
Alfalfa Sprouts to salads or sandwiches. Anything Fresh, New, that symbolizes
the promise of Growth. Maybe adding a yummy Chocolate bunny for everyone
present at your celebration (don’t forget yourself – especially if you’re
celebrating solo). ....

.. ..

Earth is the predominant
element for this Full Moon – as it wakes from its Winter slumber. As such, give
special honor to Belial during your celebrations!....

.. ..

For 2009, this Full Moon
falls on Thursday, April9. ....

Anyone anywhere even CLOSE to Cambridge, Massachusetts needs to get to The Lilly Pad tonight to see LUCIEN DESAR live in concert (special guest Wisteriax).

The Crowgrrl highly recommends this brilliant avant-garde composer/performer's music, including his soundtrack to the movie "Prometheus Triumphant". Even though I'm in the Baltimore/Washington corridor, I'll definitely be at this show in spirit.

Click on the Desar link on my Top Friends list to learn more.
