The big 3 (Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft) have done their press conferences at E3. The end result? Microsoft presented Project Natal and Milo. Nintendo presented Wii Motion Plus and .... Wii Vitality Sensor?Sony presented PS3 Motion Controller and PSP Go. So, it looks like all 3 are now going for the off the couch interactivity. The best of the bunch looks to be Project Natal. I am not sure how far out that is though. Second place goes to PS3. The Wii Motion Plus is basically just updated Wii Waggle. The PSP go was leaked before E3 but it's nice to get the official announcement as well as a price point. (250$ !) Still not too sure about it, especially at that price. It is supposed to co-exist with the PSP-3000. I have no idea what to say about the Wii Vitality Sensor. As far as games, there was some pretty cool things. On the Wii, I'm definitely looking forward to Metroid: Other M. Metroid + Team Ninja? (nerdgasm!) New Super Mario Bros. looks to be fun for the whole family. Assuming there's only four of you. There is also Super Mario Galaxy 2 which is more of the same + yoshi! On the PS3 all I really want is Final Fantasy XIV. It's another online Final Fantasy. Hopefully the community there will be a bit better than FFXI. Other cool things were shown but really anything before and after FFXIV was kinda drowned out for me. That's it for now. More to report later.

I have a twitter account now. Today I woke up and said to myself, I need all E3 news there is, as it's happening. You are welcome to follow me @cryokin. Be warned. I will most likely say very little, if anything. At this point it's more of an intake of news than an outpouring of what I'm doing right now. If any of you all have any twitterness I should know about, let me know.

Then everything becomes unbalanced and someone dies(allegedly). Someone finally posted some shaky cam footage of Dead Fantasy 3 on youtube. The men start to join up and it's not pretty,.. poor, poor, Tifa. What is pretty, is the promise of Shiva (possibly Shiva riding Ixion!)in Dead Fantasy 4. Also, Cloud,... but he's less stellar.

Chandni Chowk to ChinaIt's a Bollywood kung-fu movie. It's exactly as awesome as it sounds. Definitely one of the foreign films I will go support at the movies, even though I've already seen it. Departures is another one. Also, There's a few songs off the soundtrack of Chandni Chowk to China that I want. Gotta love that Hindi music.

Departures. Go see it when it comes out. Alternatively, there's a chance it could be found on the internet already, since it's a foreign film. It's a small chance, but it's still a chance. I know this cause I just saw the movie. It is freaking amazing.

Last week I went to a strip club. I won't say which, because of the next part I am about to relate. I could be wrong, I very often am. It looked like one of the strippers was pregnant. Do not misunderstand me, I'm well aware there is a whole pregnancy fetish that exists. What concerns me though is the amount of second hand smoke that exists in these clubs. Not to mention the clumsiness that comes with those high heels. I've seen more than one stripper fall. I just wanted to share that.
It is also worth mentioning at that same strip club, I saw the coolest stripper ever. She did not even take her top off, and she was still the best stripper there. That woman was doing all kinds of crazy pole acrobatics.
That is all for now.

That's right, I posted about being a fan of Power Rangers, right after complaining about being old.

I'm a fan of Power Rangers. While I know of some sentai here and there, I'm much more familiar with the Americanized version. (A quick explanation for those that don't know. Power Rangers over here takes most of it's ideas, costumes, and often times, footage from Japanese shows. These Japanese shows can be generally referred to as 'sentai'. )
Now, while going through various websites over the years I would often read mention of a show called Kamen Rider. I remember when Power Rangers was still more mainstream, they tried giving Kamen Rider the Americanized 'Power Ranger' treatment. That show was called Masked Rider.(Kamen is japanese for mask/masked, i.e. Kamen Rider, Tuxedo Kamen, Kekko Kamen. wait.. don't google Kekko Kamen with children in the room.) I vaguely remember Masked Rider, and don't remember liking or disliking it. Now that I think of it, I think they're trying it again. I'm not sure what Masked Rider they're showing now, but I will look into it.
Apparently Kamen Rider is much bigger than I thought. There are several seasons to see.
Now to my point. I love some of the transformation sequences for Power Rangers( Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm are some). Several I flat out hate.(Jungle Fury, Mystic Force) Watching some of the Kamen Rider transformations, I am somewhat blown away. Alot of them are freaking awesome. I also like that some(most?) happen real world, real time. In Power Rangers, the eyecandy involves the people going somewhere colorful to get geared up by sparklies. Though the eyecandy takes up a good minute or so, as far as the monsters are concerned it's instantaneous. In Kamen Rider, you can see it happening most of the time. (Don't get me wrong, it still has it's minute long eyecandy moments. Just not every episode.) I even saw a couple of transformations that were happening as the battle was being fought.
I think that, I am going to start with Kamen Rider Kiva. I don't know enough about Kamen Rider to start at the beginning and Kiva just looks pretty awesome.
Also, henshin = transform/transformation. sentai = task force.
