WINNER OF ROUND 1: 10

ARCHIE BUNKER

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 11

KRAMER Vs. GILLIGAN

I'm not feeling up to writing a character bio. I'm thinking everybody knows who they are. They are two of the most popular characters in sitcom history!!

Next week we will start round two!

WINNER OF ROUND 1: 9

GEORGE COSTANZA

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 10

ARCHIE BUNKER Vs. RAYMOND BARONE

Oh boy, I have never watched an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond in my life, but I love All in the Family. Archie is what I love to call a lovable bigot lol. He has strong conservative views and is always going up against his liberal "meathead" of a son-in-law. Though he comes across as racist, he's basically good-hearted.  I'm not sure if I could give a good character bio on Raymond lol. Wikipedia says he's a hypochondriac and that his mother has a psychological hold on him lol. And he never takes matters seriously.  Two very different characters indeed! ;-)

There's one more battle in this round!

It’s hard to believe how fast 2009 went by! It’s been a crazy year and even though it seemed to go by fast, so many things happened. The year started with one of the most historical moments in United States history, when Barrack Obama was sworn into office as the first African American president…then shortly after, the swine flu caused a near panic. I’m sure there wasn’t any relation to the two events lol! ;-) Anyway, I figured I’d try my best to recap some of my favorite and not so favorite things that happened in 2009.

Vampire Craze!

I’ve always loved vampires, but 2009 went bat-shit crazy over some blood suckers. The media surrounding New Moon was insane. Everywhere you looked, there was Twilight/New Moon coverage. I do love me some Twilight, but sheesh…they ran it to the ground. And you can believe 2010 is going to be exactly the same with “Eclipse” coming out.

The Vampire Diaries also came out this year. I must admit, I love the show. It’s pretty juicy, even though it doesn’t follow the books. I’m just annoyed I have to wait until the end of January to see new episodes.

The best thing about the 2009 Vampire craze has got to be season two of True Blood! Talk about hot and juicy. This season was so  good! It had some exciting little twists in the story line that didn’t take place in the book. There was some crazy shit going on in Bon Temps with Mary Anne’s sex orgies. I’m so glad Maenad’s arent real! Jason had me giggling my ass of all season long too. Damn I cant wait for season 3!

Speaking of exciting storylines…the 4th season of Dexter was AWESOME. THE. BEST. SEASON. YET. If you didn’t get a chance to watch Dexter this season, you need to try to catch it on re runs. You will not be disappointed if you like shows like that. Dexter knows how to keep my heart racing with every episode, and the season finale left me SHOCKED and SPEECHLEES. John Lithgow deserves an Emmy for his portrayal as the Trinity Killer.

Favorite Movies:

I didn’t get to see that many movies this year, but out of the ones I did see, I’m going to have to say my faves were Friday the 13th, Angels and Demons, and The Final Destination.

Favorite Music:

My favorite songs that was released to radio this year were probably Billy Currington’s “People Are Crazy”  and Jason Aldean’s “Big Green Tractor” in county music.

I think every other song I loved this year came out in 2008 though. LOL I’m so late when it comes to music sometimes.

My favorite album this year is Miranda Lambert’s Revolution. She is freaking awesome and I’ve never been disappointed by any of her albums so far. Though she does often get over looked due to the other young country singers nowadays.

Also Alicia Keys new album Element of Freedom is awesome. I listened to it on myspace and loved it.

In Color by Jamey Johnson, and Best Days of Your Life by Kellie Picker were my fave videos. I cant really name any fave videos outside of country because MTV and VH1 hardly play music and I don’t wake up in time to watch what little music they actually play anymore lmao!

The most annoying song this year was that stupid damn “Poker Face.” Drove me nuts.

Most Annoying People of the Year:

1. John and Kate: What the fuck. Those poor kids. I swear they became like a damn case of herpes this year. Both are annoying as hell and I would love to see them disappear in 2010 for real.

2. Lady Gaga: Ugh. I havent even figured out what Lady Gaga is. She wears the stupidest damn outfits I’ve ever did see. Though if she wasn’t shoved in my face so much she probably wouldn’t have been half as annoying , but her music was EVERYWHERE. Arrrgh.

3. Spencer and Heidi Pratt: More annoying in the year of 2008 than 2009 since they were banned on E! News this year lmao, but Spencer just makes me sick knowing he lives and breaths so, yeah.

4. Octomom: Can you say “crazy bitch?!” I swear, it should be freaking against the law to have that many kids. She just aint right up in the noggin.

5. Titiana Del Toro and Nick “Normund” Gentle: They were both from idol, so since I only had to deal with them for a few short weeks, they both come in at number 5. These two were probably the two most annoying people in the history of idol. Titiana’s laugh was grating as hell and Normund Gentle pretty much made a mockery out of the show while he was on.

Epic Fail Moments of the Year:

1. Balloon Boy: LMAO! I swear, some people are just so damn money hungry they will do ANYTHING for some fame. The whole plot was stupid but having your own little boy announce on national tv that “my daddy said it was for the show” was fucking PRICELESS. The dad just had the “I’m screwed” look on his face and couldn’t say anything lmao. Great stuff.

2. LOL Ryan Seacrest high fiving a blind dude. Nuff said. =D

Crazy News I Never Expected:

1. Chris Brown beating up Rihanna. He threw his career down the toilet.

2. Susan Boyle dominating the billboard charts. Who the hell buys her music???

3. Tiger Woods ….LOL…Never knew he was such a pimp!

4. Paula Abdul leaving American Idol. I’m going to miss her craziness =/

Gay Fish Awards:

First Prize:  Kanye West: No explanation need.

Runner Up: Christian Bale for going off on the poor camera guy. It was funny, but damn…talk about your anger issues.

My Favorite LMAO Moment’s of the Year:

1. Joaquin Phoenix’s interview with David Letterman. LMAO I swear, I don’t know who was funniest, Joaquin or Dave!!!

2. Billy Bob Thornton’s radio interview in Canada. LMAO, he was being a complete asshole, but I loved every minute of it!!

The Year of The Grim Reaper:

It seemed like people where dying left and right this year. I swear Death was pissed off because for a while, every week somebody else was reported dead.  I cant even begin to name everybody that died in 2009. Of course the biggest death this year was Michael Jackson’s on June 25th. I still cant believe it. Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer the same day, which was really sad.

Patrick Swayze also lost his battle with cancer September 14th.  I’ve loved Patrick ever since watching “Ghost” when I was little. I thought he showed so much bravery in his battle, working on a new show right up til the end.

Natasha Richardson, Bea Arthur, Dom DeLuise, David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Billy Mays Karl Malden, Walter Cronkite, John Hughes, Ted Kennedy, and Brittany Murphy are just a few of the others who passed away this year.

Even poor Gidget from the Taco Bell commercials couldn’t survive 2009’s death curse =(

I know I left a bunch of people out. I also know that I left a lot of stories out. If there is anything I missed that you loved or hated about this year, tell me about it in a comment! Until next time……….

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

GEORGE JEFFERSON Vs. CLIFF HUXTABLE

George is a loud and rude little man and you just cant help to laugh at his bigoted remarks, while Cliff is kind-hearted and knows how to make you laugh through his good natured silliness. LOL I dont think the two characters could be more different!

And dang a tie!! I cant believe that happened to me again. Hopefully not again though.

Before I begin I just had to take a moment to mention the passing of Brittany Murphy. She passed away Sunday morning at the age of 32. The cause of death hasnt been confirmed, but cardiac arrest was mentioned.

November 10, 1977-December 20, 2009

I just wanted to take time to remember what a talented young actress she was. One of my favorite movies is Clueless. Thats how I first came to know her. Little Black Book and Just Married are also two other movies that are really cute and funny. And even if you never heard her name, I'm sure you have heard her talent at best. It's kind of weird that my last game blog featured Hank Hill, because Brittany actually voiced the character of Hank's niece Luanne Platter. She also voiced several other characters on the show. She was a very talented person, and it's a shame she wasnt more recognized. May she always be remembered for the fabulous work she did as an actress. I know that now every time I watch King of the Hill I'll be reminded that another talented person left this world far too soon.

R.I.P Brittany Murphy.

FRED SANFORD

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 7

TIM TAYLOR Vs. JACK TRIPPER

Both characters are accident prone, though Tim's accidents are borderline disastrous! LOL!  Jack is pretty much obsessed with women, while Tim is obsessed with cars and tools. Everything needs "more power" oh oh oh oh *making grunting noise :P* Okay Bobbi...hope thats enough info to chew over! Hehe

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 6

FRED SANFORD Vs. HANK HILL

One specializes in selling junk and the other specializes in propane and propane accessories! Fred G. Sanford is grouchy (thats what the G stands for )  and bigoted, while Hank is a little on the prude side and closed-minded. Fred loves get rich quick schemes while Hank is a hard worker. Oh yeah....Fred often suffers from "The Big One" while Hanks has a narrow urethra

AL BUNDY

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 5

GRANNY Vs. LUCY

Gotta love Granny (The Beverly Hillbillies) and her tonic! She's a feisty little woman that knows how to shoot a gun!! But we must all bow down to the Queen of Sitcom Comedy herself, Lucy Ricardo....nothing is more funnier than Lucy after she's gets drunk off some Vitameatavegamin!!

Thanks again to everybody who has been playing, esp. Carlos and Bobbi for making the last round one of the most debated yet! (Even though ya'lls pick lost hehehe) Cartman got Bundyfied....oh yes he did!

AL BUNDY Vs. CARTMAN

Now honestly Bobbi, I couldnt give you a bio on Cartman even if I wanted to because I've never watched South Park I hear he's a funny foul-mouthed, selfish, hellish little bugger...wikipedia calls him a little Archie Bunker...say what??? FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 3

ROSEANNE CONNER Vs. STEWIE GRIFFIN

Big and bossy vs. small and evil  One wants to control their family and the other wants to take over the world!! Haha I love how these come together sometimes!! And yes Bobbi, I'm still too dang lazy to type up a bio!! hehehe

Thanks to everybody who has been sticking around and playing along!! You guys rock!

WINNER OF ROUND 1: 1

HOMER SIMPSON

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1: 2

FRESH PRINCE Vs. SOPHIA PETRILLO

I know his name was Will Smith on the show, but I dont want anybody to get confused so I'm just gonna call the character Fresh Prince. You know how some people can be slow...and I dont want people choosing "Will Smith" as the funniest just because they happened to love him in Men In Black hehe

LOL I dont know if it's just me, but I find it funny that the Fresh Prince is going up against a Golden Girl

And Bobbi, I'm sorry again for no character bios!! I'm still too lazy!! But you can keep in mind that they are both wise crackers. Will is always cracking jokes about his uncle Phil's eating habits or Carlton's preppiness, while Sophia is always making smart remarks about Blanche's sex life and Rose's stupidity. Not to mention always making fun of her own daughter's lack of men in her life!!

Okay ya'll, get ready for a new game. This time we're going to be battling for the funniest sitcom character out there.  Carlos (Venomous) came up with the idea, so he got to help with some of the list. Of course I'm gonna leave out a lot of characters, because the game would go on forever if I didnt, but I think we pretty much came up with the best of the best. So let the game begin!!

FUNNIEST SITCOM CHARACTER: ROUND 1 : 1

HOMER SIMPSON Vs. BARNEY FIFE

Just remember, you're voting for which character you think is the funniest. Not which show you like the best. And since this is sitcoms..which are 30 mins long, Boss Hogg doesnt make the list lmao...I think he's the all time funniest. Him and Roscoe ;-)

First let me start by thanking everybody that played along. I've been wanting to do a battle blog like this for a while. I was hoping from the very beginning that Freddy and Jason would make the final round because I've always debated with people on who was better.

*Freddy vs. Jason movie spoiler ahead*

When Freddy vs. Jason came out I was ready to see Freddy kick Jason's ass!! The movie was awesome, but the ending still left who really is the best up to debate. Some say Jason won because he was holding Freddy's head, others say "Noway!" because Freddy winked at the end...and you just know that he's gonna come back at Jason with something!! So inevitably the movie left everything open to a sequel because neither truly "won" the fight. But the sequel never came, and I thought that maybe this blog battle would end it once in for all!!

Well folks, I feel like I just played host for the "Freddy vs. Jason" movie all over again because it resulted in a tie!!

Can you freaking believe it?!?! Jason got four votes, and because my vote counts, Freddy also got four!! So....

THE MASTERS OF THE SLASHER ARE:

FREDDY AND JASON

In tribute of the winners I've prepared a little something. Starting with Jason since he would have won if I didnt count my vote :-P (Hey I never said I was impartial lmao!)

JASON VOORHEES

Jason first debuted on screen in 1980 in the sequel to "Friday the 13th" and went on to appear in all other "Friday the 3th" films.  The franchise includes 10 films, plus Freddy vs. Jason and a reboot of the first film. There isnt any doubt that "Friday the 13th" is one of the most successful horror movie franchises ever, and Jason Voorhees in the number one reason. His die-hard fans live to see him slash and hack everybody up to pieces. It's what makes the movies enjoyable. Just take a look....

Now tell me Jason isnt bad-ass ;-)

For those of you that havent watched any of the films I recommend to start with the first one even though it doesnt feature Jason as we know him. But my personal picks are:

Friday the 13th Part 2
Friday the 13th III *Personal fave*
Friday the 13th VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

The latest film you can catch him in action in is this years movie simply titled "Friday the 13th."

FREDDY KRUEGER

Freddy first appeared on screen in 1984's "Nightmare On Elm Street." Freddy also appeared in all the sequels that followed."Nightmare On Elm Street" bought a new concept to slasher movies, having Freddy stalk people in their dreams...all the while having "killer wit" that made him a fan fave. The franchise features 8 movies, plus Freddy vs. Jason, and the remake due out in 2010.

Not to be outdone by Jason, Freddy has some killer moves himself...

You scared yet?? ;-)

If you havent seen any of the films I recommend the following ones:

Nightmare On Elm Street
Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge
Nightmare on Elm Steet 3: Dream Warriors *Personal Fave*

Also there is the upcoming 2010 remake if you wanna catch Freddy at his latest. I dont know how it will be though since Robert Englund wont be in the role.

And of course if you wanna catch both villains in action together be sure to watch:

Freddy vs. Jason

Thanks again to all who played along! I've decided that the next battle will be "Funniest Sitcom Characters"...I'll start that game after Thanksgiving.

Hope everybody has a Happy Thanksgiving!!

ROUND 3: 2 GOES TO:

FREDDY

MASTER OF THE SLASHER: THE FINAL BATTLE

FREDDY Vs. JASON

One two, Freddy’s coming for you, begins the child like nursery rhyme th
at plays a twisted homage to one of the most iconic villains to ever step foot on the big screen….Freddy Krueger.  Freddy Krueger, a child murderer that was hunt down and burned alive by an angry mob of parents, returns from the dead as a scarred monster to seek revenge on the children of Springwood.  It isn’t his scarred face that makes Freddy so frightening, but his ability to kill you through your very dreams. There isn’t anywhere you can run or anywhere you can hide from Freddy, because eventually you must sleep. When you do fall asleep, Freddy will
be there stalking your dreams, tormenting you in your sleep, before killing you with his razor bladed gloved hand. Freddy has given a whole new meaning to the word nightmare since first appearing in 1984, making some people scared to ever sleep again

As one of the most iconic characters in movie history, Jason Voorhees is the epitome of a horror movie slasher villain. At first Jason is thought to be dead from drowning as a child, but after seeing his mother being killed, he appears to seek revenge on her death. Jason then returns to Camp Crystal Lake, where he continues his murderous revenge, destroying anybody that crosses his path. Jason appears  first as human, but later he returns from the dead to become an unstoppable killing machine. Usually by machete, Jason has killed his victims in every way possible. Wearing his iconic hockey mask, Jason has terrified movie goers for almost 30 years.

Freddy and Jason are both iconic villains of the silver screen. Horror movie legends. It has long been debated who is the most kick ass, frightening monster of the two and now you get to decide!!

This is THE final
battle for the Master of the Slasher!!!

Gotta say it's kool how it ended up being between Freddy and Jason. I was hoping that it would!!

Now may the best villain win! :-D

ROUND 3: 1 GOES TO:

JASON

MASTER OF THE SLASHER ROUND 3: 2

FREDDY Vs. JIGSAW

One two, Freddy’s coming for you, begins the child like nursery rhyme that plays a twisted homage to one of the most iconic villains to ever step foot on the big screen….Freddy Krueger. Freddy has given a whole new meaning to the word nightmare since first appearing in 1984, making some people scared to ever sleep again.

Jigsaw may not be your typical slasher villain, as a matter of fact he's never actually killed anyone himself, but his method of torture has brought a whole new meaning to the word horror for a new generation of movie going fans.

Which scares you the most?? Having Freddy stalk your dreams or being put in one of Jigsaw's traps??

Only you get to decide who could ultimately be master of the slasher!

Thanks to everybody that has been playing! We're almost to the end of the game....next blog will decide the winner!!

BTW!!

If anybody has any ideas for battle games, let me know in a comment. I'm not sure what I wanna do after this ends, so suggest away!
