Hi!

We're playing this Friday at the Comet Tavern on Capitol Hill. It's our last show of the year, & our first show in two months. This is exciting for three reasons:

1) We have a new guitar player, & his name is Kelly. This will be his first show with us.
2) We will be playing a bunch of new songs off our new record, which we'll be recording in January.
3) We're going to be giving away FREE BUTTONS. That's reason enough right there.

So, you should come. It's going to be epic.

There are four bands, & we play second. It goes a little something like this...

Hi Everyone!

I know it's been awhile since we've sent out a newsy note, so being that we have a lot of news, I deemed it appropriate...

:: First & foremost, we're VERY excited to announce that we've added a new guitar player... Our friend Kelly Dale will be filling the big hole left by Ozo's departure in June. When he's not shredding away for us, he can be seen & heard in his band, The Way We Were in 1989. Kelly likes Fender guitars played thru Fender amps LOUDLY, and also enjoys the occasional walk on the beach. He has a mustache & wears it quite well.

:: Secondly, we're stoked out of our brains to let you know that we've signed a licensing deal with Light in the Attic TV/Film Licensing. We're now among the family of artists that includes the Black Angels, Brent Amaker & the Rodeo, Betty Davis, the Saturday Knights, and more. Please stay tuned for updates about TV & film placements...

:: Please keep your ears peeled for DGH vocals on the new Animals at Night record, "Cut to Chase, Chorus & Fade." Daniel contributed vox to the songs Tiger Stripes, & Nobody Moves, Nobody Gets Hurt. The record comes out this month, so check it out!

:: We'll be playing our first show in a few months, and our last show of the year on Friday, November 6th at the Comet Tavern in Seattle. We'll be joined by our friends Goldfinch, from Tacoma, l & Telegraph Canyon, who will be driving their Winnebago all the way from Texas. This will be Kelly's first show with us, so please come & give him a good heckle.

:: And last but not least, we're stoked that two Daniel G. Harmann records, "Anthems from the Gentle War" & "the Lake Effect" were both accepted into the Pandora catalog. So keep your ears peeled!

Until Next Time,

DGH, Forrest, Kelly & Shea

Hi!

Please join us this Friday at the Sunset in Ballard as we tear the roof off the joint with our labelmates the Oregon Donor, Post Harbor, & To the Waves. This is the second showcase that our cozy home, Burning Building Recordings has put on this year, and we're super happy to be a part of it.

It's also your last chance to catch us live until November, as we're going to hide ourselves away in our practice space to finish writing the new record.

Hope you can make it out! Here are the details...

Here's an interview that I did in 2005 for Music & Fashion Magazine. It looks like they just launched their site, and added it to their web content. Pretty hilarious stuff...  HERE.

If you like it, please gimme a HEART.

Hi!

Just a quick reminder about our show this evening at Jules Maes in Georgetown. Doors are at 9pm, and we go on second.

Also, big thanks to the folks at the Stranger, for naming us Band of the Week (!!!), and for the glowing preview for tonight's show! Check it out:

"(Jules Maes) Daniel G. Harmann's newest release, the Our Arms EP, finds the stalwart Seattle musician expanding and further electrifying his beautiful downer ballads with the help of his band, the Trouble Starts. In the past, Harmann has sometimes played things lo-fi and spare, and while his foggy singing and his sad songs certainly don't suffer from that treatment, they tend to land with a little more satisfying weight this way. The songs are still sleepy-headed and soft, but they're wrapped up in warm, buzzing guitars against far-off echoes, with hard-hit drums holding everything down. It's mope rock for sure, but it's pretty lively mope rock." ERIC GRANDY

Incidentally, this is our final show as a four piece, as our guitar player Ozo is leaving the band. Ozo has shared his love & talent with us four the past two years, and we're VERY sad to see him go. So please come give Ozo a proper salute, and buy him a drink (or five).
