so, after a lifetime of chasing aliens,
Pat did it. he has a
show. not just any show, but the show he'd been pitching for years. a lifelong dream achieved. personal mission accomplished. it's amazing, unbelievable almost. (as unbelievable as life in the cosmos, perhaps?)
and...it's going to be huge. hopefully. I mean, I've never seen so much hype for a show. I have to admit, the History Channel's done an amazing job building it up. the
web site is great, the
videos are all on youtube. hell, the commercials alone have been running ceaselessly these last few weeks--they're on almost every commercial break, not just on the History Channel itself, but on many of GE's other cable ventures. a quick shot of Pat pointing at the skies even made the network's pre-season teaser trailer earlier this year (if you watched carefully, you would've noticed he was one of "history's new faces"). you literally cannot turn on the tv without seeing his face.
as a little sis with dreams of her own, clearly I'm a little conflicted about this. but still, I can't help but admire the man. he did it! he made it! who the hell else can say that about themselves, you know?
anyway, if you've missed it, here's the sneak peak for
UFO Hunters.
peak your interest? I hope so. catch Pat and, hopefully, a glimpse of alien life tonight (and every Wednesday) on
UFO Hunters, 10 PM, on the History Channel.
maybe his efforts can provide some inspiration for the rest of us who chase after metaphorical green men of our own. reach for the skies, kids.
