Okay! Where do we begin... We know we've sucked on updating the blog the last few days but things have been sort of hectic. Some of us have been partying like hell, totally ignorant of our responsibilities and some just haven't been on top physically to do mental duty.

After the show in Plymouth, when the amazing crowd had been brutally forced out in the soaking night, super party action took place in the very little venue named White Rabbit.
Somebody came up with the great idea of doing arm-wrestling The Defiled vs. Deathstars band&crew. The bands and crews lined up in several different groups chanting ugha-ugha-ugha!
The mood was high and the level of alcohol consumed was almost catastrophic. After several rounds of the good ol' game of arm wrestling, the undefeated master was Micke CD, our superior soundman who beat everyone even though he is wrong (left) handed.
Since none of the bandmembers won this challenge Skinny suggested a strip-pole dancing challenge to regain some of his pride, it was easily won by the deathglammers. The Defiled had a good start with their keyboardist Alex hitting the pole in high spinning action, he made a great performance but in the end his performance could not be compared to the upside down spinning whirlwind done by Skinny or the double action spin sensation called Cat and Bone, who simultaneously were rotating sensually around the pole at different levels. A very erotic performance indeed. (A thumbs up for Skinnys thighs, they looked amazing!)
There was a video of it but unfortunately it was reported and deleted by YouTube with an explanation it consisted too much explicit material.

Bristol
We woke up the bus around noon and had a full english breakfast outside in the sun at Skinners. Located just across the street of the Academy Venue. The sun made the thirst for a certain drink called beer grow even wilder and we found it impossible to resist the golden nectar. The band pretty much hung out there the for a few hours until we were called in for soundcheck. After the soundcheck Skinny, Micke CD, Whiplasher and Elin hit the James Bond type looking city for a walk and ended up at a local brewery where they served their own made ales and lagers. Very interesting. Nightmare was visited by Freya and Ogg who repaired his torn stage clothes, and then he made a few interviews and time was ticking on really quickly. Sooner than anyone could expect it was about time to get ready for the show. While Nightmare and Cat slowly started to get dressed for the show the door suddenly opens to the dressing room and in walks the super drunk Skinny Disco, so drunk he could hardly stand. What a night, when he later on was trying to walk up the stairs to the stage he had to be led by our guitartech Gump. Haha!

On Friday we played in Wrexham, north Wales. Everybody was quite trashed after previous nights and were looking for any glimpse of energy the whole day.
Cat was minding his own business at a photoshoot in some place we would like to call Way-too fucking-far-away Upon todays show.
Cat got stuck in traffic and the bandmembers had to do the first 3 songs without him. Quite an awkward but refreshing feeling.
After the show there was a massive party going on in the venue and all three bands were going mental. Whip, Elin, Night and Devilina who originally were too exhausted for the massive party went off to a find a more quieter place and ended up at the Horse and Jockey, a place that existed since the 1600's... It was karaoke night. See videos below!
After they experienced the amazing karakoe there they all decided that they were ready for the big party inside the venue
Bruised by too much headbanging and moshing the band members crawled into Madonna for some true blue baby sleep.

Saturday night fever.
Manchester is always a nice stop for this never ending machine. The band stumbled out of the bus one after the other with different diseases such as swollen lip, sore throat and hangovers.
Later in the afternoon our tattoo friend Leigh showed up with his gang and got the boys in a better mood.
The show went amazing and it was a sold out house. After the show some of the boys went to meet up with Aaron from My Dying Bride, some went to sing Karaoke and some even went to bed (...gay!).

Today the band has been busy doing tattoos with Leigh who we first met in Malmö when he filled Skinny's ear with a skull-tattoo. Fortunate enough he managed to borrow a chair at the nearby tattoo and piercing studio Design 4 LIfe here in Liverpool. The very nice manager of the studio made a "pentagram" on a very tormented but happy Bone W Machine's chest. Leigh was working in Cat with a "pair of cherries" on his ass (unfortunately he's too vain to show it) and Skinny got "Skinny Disco" on his hands.

Last night in Birmingham the boys actually just relaxed after the gig - all of them. This is the first time in the entire history of Deathstars. We are very confused today. Maybe we got lazy because it was a very hot venue (and with the almost naked girls on the left wing it was even hotter). After leaving the 02 Academy the dudes capitulated inside the sweet wombs of Madonna (our tourbus).

We were pleased to see that the guys in Black Sabbath (Ozzy - you were wasted!), Led Zeppelin (Goddamn Jimmy, your airgitar-playing to The Mark of the Gun was impeccable!), Judas Priest (Rob, you were good looking and you're looking like you should be good!) and Duran Duran (Simon! Wow, you popstars can really dance in a homoerotic way!) came to the show as they are sons from the city of Birmingharm and big DS-supporters. You are the best - all of you - just a shame that we didn't had the strength to come out and meet you yesterday after the gig, but we were simply too tired. (See you in Hollywood soon though, at the Academy Awards afterparty we were talking about!) Birmingham is a city of a lot of rock history for you who don't know this. Also Napalm Death and UB40 (!) come from this town.

Birmingham has always been a monkey on the back for Whip. Every time he gets there he feels dead or sick somehow. Yesterday was nothing different, because of not being able to sleep properly since the tour started the vocalist came to a crucial point yesterday when he was almost unable to talk before the gig, but somehow it worked out fine (read the history further down).

Today though we're in Plymouth. Last time we were in this exotic city on the English West Coast we were on tour with Korn, and therefor at a pretty much bigger venue then White Rabbit, where we play today, but hey - it's an intimate place, and we like to be intimate with you. Especially at intimate places.

There is something that we would like to enlighten in this blog. Sometimes - in the toughest times - Deathstars seems to be the medicine that helps people back on track again. (No, we are not just talking about sex!) We get hundreds of letters from different people who doesn't just want to sleep with the band, but also has Deathglam as an important cure for their health. Dean, who was in Birmingham yesterday, is a good example of that and has the band tattooed all over his body; portraits, autographs and logo-stuff. He truly wears The Mark of The Gun, on body and in mind.
He gave us the permit to post the letter he gave us. (See below)
We can only say - Dean Dies Hard!

What the members are doing right now:
* Skinny has really really really decided to party today, and the iPig is already well-done from the pain of volume. Skinny is wasted, he had ten beers on soundcheck just to see if he could do it. Smart strategic step....
* Whip is down in the marina and is having a stroll in the rain with a english football-celebrity, waiting for the Man United vs Porto-game.
* Bone has decided to have a silent day - that means that he doesn't speak from dusk till dawn. The band is pleased.
* Cat is relaxing at the hotel, shaving his body and having a pedicure.
* Nightmare is with Devilina and playing doctor and nurse with each other at a local sex-spa, which is run by an old woman called "The Midnight Sister of the Treasures of the Tree of Flesh", and she wears the title "Queen of the English Sisterhood Anno 1939." it is a secret sect who deals with eroticism and transcendence to the the outer regions of the Milky Way (+ astral journeys to Atlantis, but then it costs extra). We hope they got the whole bonus package.

Whip's Birmingham history:
* While on tour with Cradle of Filth Whip woke up, thought it was in the middle of the night, and had some sleeping pills. After that he had a look at his watch and noticed that it was two hours until soundcheck, it was late in the afternoon. After literally been carried from Scruffy Murphy's (bar) at the end of the street, totally passed out, by fans. Fortunately an unnamed friend from the great band The Prodigy was there and help Whip on the feet with some special stuff.
* While on tour with Mortiis Whip had been up all night partying on a flue (smart guy) and was like a grey ghost when the band found him in the black corners of the venue, almost frightened to go on stage he finally did. It worked out.
* While on tour with Korn Whip had entered the role of John and no one could get in contact with him that day. When he was on stage though he returned to the Whip we know.
