In fact, Spring Mountain Gallery's Grand Opening & 30 Year Anniversary was a very enjoyable occasion for us, despite the weeks of stress over whether we could pull this off.   I was very happy that my brother Joe and Carol could make it. Michael was glad that his family could also be there.

Parties are no big deal for some, but Michael & I don't throw parties, and I rarely attend them.   However, it was generally agreed that we should do something special to bring attention to our new location.  In this tough economy, it's good to go the extra mile for business. We stockpiled a lot of food, sodas, coffee, & wine.  Kaitlyn brought some platters of fruit, veggies, and sweets, etc., in addition to performing serving & hostess duties.

Our pictures are posted here:

We want  to thank everyone who attended, and to Kaitlyn for helping out with the food & serving duties.

Now, it's back to work, as per usual!

Perry sent me a cool card for Mother's day, with Obama on it. Then Kaitlyn brought me flowers and a cool card with Obama on it.  There's a theme here!

We loved Obama's speech yesterday at the annual White House Correspondent's Association dinner.

Speaking of Mothers, hope your Mom's Day was splenderific!

For anyone interested in these things, we posted our Dream Machine pictures here:

My favorites were the aircraft, but there were some other interesting devices of transportation on display.

While taking photos of Michael and our friend Art putting the sign up for our new gallery, I took some shots of our friend Alex & I reflected in a large semi that is parked at the new location (see below). Gotta have SOME fun, amidst all that work!

I have also posted pictures in an album here of the move, and some historical pictures of life at Spring Mountain Gallery, Shoreline Station.  Our move also made news in the Half Moon Bay Review. After 29 years in the same location, a move like that is noteworthy, I guess!
