What would you like to accomplish this week?

I would like to get my grocery shopping done.
I would love to go see "The Happening" this weekend!
I would like to pay off some of our bills with my loan refund check!
I would like to help Scott stick to his diet.
I would like to clean Claudia's room before she comes home.
I must bring all of our recyclables to Team Green on Saturday!
I need to dust the entertainment center.
I would like to hang up two picture frames I filled up.

Not too much to accomplish since I did most of my to-do list on the two days I was off! I cleaned the entire house, including the bathrooms! Washed all the dishes. Washed, dried and put away all the clean clothes. Cut and weed-eated the grass. Dusted the coffee table, sorted through our magazines, and swept the whole house. I even updated my myspace page and did some blogging! :)

okay. got through the first week of the semester!

missed my second day of class. :(  got sick and was unable to make it.

got to pee in a cup for a drug screen.

had a traumatic skillz check off. she drilled me over stuff we have not been over! i knew how to perform my skill, and did that perfectly (didn't even break sterile field) but she made me feel like an idiot with some of the questions she was expecting me to know. ended up crying in the hall after it all. got some reassurance from instructors that i did fine and that she should not have drilled me the way she did. (i think maybe she got in a little trouble too for being so hard)

found out that i have OB rotation first and I will be at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women! & i am with Beau and several other people i know and like. i think it is going to be a fun rotation even though i have zero interest in OB at this point. i am being open-minded though. i am going to enjoy my rotation and learn as much as i can.

i have med/surg 2nd rotation and i will be at St. Pat's again, and i really enjoyed being there. we are on Unit 41, Cardiac!! it scares me a bit, but i know i can do it! i am with quite a few people i know and like, as well as Beau. :) i think it is going to be a hard rotation, but a good one. i am looking forward to it!

this is going to be a very stressful semester, but i know i can do it! only one semester to go after this!!!! can't wait to graduate and get my license!!!

oh.......and i am now sick! i caught some bug while on campus. i am coughing, achy all over, and my head is stuffy. oh, and i have a fever of 99.5! got some 'Tussin and i am feeling a little better, also took some Advil. going to the infirmary Monday morning to get checked out and get any additional meds i need.

well. another Christmas over too quickly. Christmas always seem to fly by. I wish it lasted about 2 more weeks! :)

it was a good Christmas. didn't do too much. spent a lot of time with Scott & Claudia. we made it to Christmas Eve this year! :) we each opened a present on the 21st, 22nd & 23rd and then we opened the rest on Christmas Eve. :) i will post pictures over the next week.

we each got some stuff we really wanted. claudia got "Sims 2 Deluxe and Sims Bon Voyage," "Drawn to Life" & "Mario Party" for the Nintendo DS, 6 new Webkinz, a Magnetix tote bag, a digital camera, and some new clothes. Scott  got Guitar Hero, a 500GB external hard drive, a skin for his guitar & two comic books. I got this awesome Urban Decay eyeshadow set, 4 Sephora eyeliners!, a digital camera, a new bag/tote, two shirts, some doodling/text drawing books, and i got to go shopping cuz my MiL gave us each $$$! ^_^ yippee!!!

so this means a new year begins soon. time to pull out the resolutions. let's see if they stick this year. it feels like this next year is the year of change for me, for us as a family. i know that the end of  next year brings graduation....and full time employment. i need to take this year to prepare for that. time to start studying NCLEX questions so I can pass my boards on the first try. time to get healthy! i have introduced healthier eating into my diet. i start exercising this week. i am ready for something new. i think i want a new hobby. &&& i think i may have found one. i am going to start learing about scrapbooking. i cannot start scrapping because i do not have the room right now, but i want to start getting books about it. i can learn techniques & i can start looking at layout ideas. i have already started doodling and trying to learn how to draw text.

well. time to get up and start doing stuff.

I am sure I could write more about this fight...but why should I?! The pictures speak for themselves. Roger "El Matador" Huerta is the MAN! I cannot wait to see him kick more ass!

Well...my predictions didn't go so well. :(

Jens got his ass whooped, and won't be fighting in the UFC anymore. I officially hate BJ Penn. He is such as asshole. No respect. I want to like him cuz he fights so well, but I just can't. He is so disrespectful. And don't think that I hate him cuz he beats Jens. I figured he would beat Jens unless Jens pulled out some new shit (which he did not). I hate him more than ever after hearing his talk so disrespectfully about Jens.

Manny so would have won that fight!!! I am not bitter that Diaz won, he is an excellent fighter, but I do think that Manny would have won if not for his shoulder. That shit looked painful!!! I can't wait to see Manny fight again. I hope he gets some surgery done on that shoulder...he needs to tighten that shit up if he is going to keep fighting.

I was right about Huerta! He kicked ass :)

I now have some respect for Cole Miller. He kicked Wank's...I mean Wang's ass!! I can't wait to see some more of him.

DID YOU SEE GRAY MAYNARD KNOCK HIMSELF OUT?!?!? That was fuckin' awesome! I have never seen a no contest before...but that was definitely one! Emerson was losing and Gray would have won it....but knocking yourself out kinda means you didn't win the fight. ;) I loved watching Rogan explain to Gray that he knocked his damn self out!

Over all, there were some awesome fights!

Hello peeps! The Ultimate Fighter 5 finale is Saturday night!!! I thought I would post my predictions so we can see just how good I am! *lol*

The fight card is as follows:

-- Jens "Little Evil" Pulver Vs. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn:

I honestly don't know who is gonna win this fight. I have seen Jens kick some ass...but I have also seen Penn go to town on some people. I hope Pulver wins and will be rooting for him!!! I think that Pulver wants it more than Penn does, so I am hoping that gives him a bigger advantage. Also, Pulver has a winning streak he wants to continue! Two of his guys are in the finals, and he whooped Penn's ass at ping pong! ;) GO TEAM PULVER!!!

-- Manny "The Pitbull" Gamburyan Vs. Nathan Diaz:

I know that no one thinks Manny is gonna win this, but I DO! I think he is stronger than he looks. I bet he has been working on his takedowns & his standup. I think Nate is going to underestimate him and get taken down. Once Manny gets him to the ground, he will stay on top. I don't know if there will be a knockout, but I bet he gets a decision or a submission. Also, I think that submissions are going to be harder for Diaz to get because of Manny's short arms and legs!

-- Roger "el Matador" Huerta Vs. Doug Evans:

I don't know who Evans is, but I think Huerta is gonna kick ass just like he did the last time I saw him fight! Did you see him on the cover of Sports Illustrated! That was an awesom fight!!!

-- Brandon "The Murderer" Melendez Vs. Joe "J-Lau" Lauzon:

This is one that may not be broadcast, but I hope it is! I want to see Lauzon fight. I think this is a good match up and it will be an interesting fight. No clue who will win it though.

-- Andy "The Yellow Peril" Wang Vs. Cole "Magrino" Miller:

(may not be broadcast) Wang has got to go down! He was such a bitch on TUF5! I don't like or dislike Miller...but he needs to kick Wang's ass to get my respect! And WTF is up with Wang's name?? "The Yellow Peril?" how lame is that shit!

-- Rob "The Saint" Emerson Vs. Gray "The Bully" Maynard:

(may not be broadcast) I so hope we get to see this fight!! I love Gray! I would like to see him kick Emerson's ass just because! :) I like Gray's ground and pound!!

-- Allen "Monstah" Berube Vs. Leonard "Bad Boy" Garcia:

(may not be broadcast) I wanna see the Monstah Lobstah fight!!!! I don't know who Garcia is...so I can't say that Berube will win, but I want to see him fight dammit!

-- Brian "Duke" Geraghty Vs. "Handsome" Matt Wiman

(may not be broadcast) I want to see Geraghty mess up Wiman's face! He is too worried about looking pretty to really get in and fight! He kept covering his face instead of throwing like he should have. I want to see this one just to see if Wiman steps up...or is he too worried about being handsome to really be a good fighter?!
