Hey everybody,

Bad news and a gentle warning: The Rock City open air festival (www.myspace.com/rockcityf) that Dew-Scented was scheduled to be part of this coming weekend in Romania is NOT taking place! While "postponing" doesn't mean much to us at this stage without knowing further details, we can only point out that we are extremely disappointed by this unfortunate turn of events!

Especially frustrating is the fact that it wasn't the first time we were let down on a Romanian event this year...it wasn't fun at all to see Dew-Scented announced to be part of a another festival in February 2009 alongside Sepultura and The Sorrow without actually been (booked) there to play. So yeah, as much as we would like to come over and finally debut playing live in Romania, it just simply doesn't seem to be happening! And it's not even any of our fault!

In slightly better news: We had an amazing run of shows this Summer and would like to thank everyone who helped us with the gigs or who came out to share a good evening with us! While we are still spending most of our time working on new material right now (sounding sweet, btw!), we have some few shows coming up later this year which we look forward to!

Promoters interested in booking Dew-Scented for 2010, please get in touch with us asap since we are already well underwaywith next year's calendar! Ehhhr, but please only contact to book us if you actually really plan to make a show happen ;-)

Dew-Scented news FEB '09: Hell(as) awaits!

Hellau!

So what's the news?! Well, we keep working and thrashing, basically!? ;-)

The year 2009 started out with some cool shows (special "thank you" to the people at Hard Metal fest in Portugal for having us!) and we would like to mention that we appreciate everybody of you for the continued support as well as for giving the new guys in the band a fine welcome. Cheers!

For the time being, we'll mainly remain "quiet" on the surface, as we are currently focused on working on new songs. And we'll spend as much time and energy as demanded to make the new material turns out killer! We will do some basic pre-production in June, so we will probably be able to tell you some more by then...

We will still be playing some shows casually as well of course. Next up and this week: A first-ever trip to Greece where we will play two shows....

On return to Germany on Saturday the 28th, we have been confirmed to appear at the new record's release show by our buddies The Sorrow in Lingen (Alter Schlachthof). Also appearing are Misery Speaks and Blood Spencer. See some of you there!

Also, we have added some shows for Easter weekend: We will finally return to Norway on April 10th to be part of this year's Inferno Festival (www.infernofestival.net). That should be a blast! Then on the 11th we will play at the "Oster Metal Meeting" in Essen's great "Turock" venue (www.turock.de) alongside Gojira, Hatesphere and many more. Sounds like a sweet weekend of total metal celebration!



We are also still working on some more festivals for the Summer, so stay tuned for more dates to drop soon.



Merchandise: We have finally re-manufactured various shirt designs (plain d-s logo, "incinerate - relentless thrash metal domination" design and girlie tops) and also have made a new run of zipped hoodie sweaters (male and female). ***    Dew-Scented news NOV '08    ***

Hey Thrashers…

Been silent here for too long…

We wanted to bring to your attention that DEW-SCENTED's line-up underwent major changes earlier this year, as the people who have met us or seen us live ever since will probably have noticed!? But we never really officially announced things…until now:

After long years of co-operating fruitfully, it was time for a change and consequently we parted ways with guitarplayers Florian Müller and Hendrik Bache. It just happened to become the best of choices for the band's future. We did immediately enter an intense rehearsal period to get the band regrouped smoothly and were lucky to quickly find a highly motivated and extremely talented new guitar-duo with Michael Borchers and Martin Walczak. Welcome on board, dudes! Adding up to the work behind closed doors, we also tracked down a new steady drummer in Marc-Andrée Dieken, finally ending a lengthy time of uncertainty and session drummers. Marc is surely a "familiar" face to some of you as he already helped us out as live-drummer for a while back in 2004 and also he played together with bassplayer Alex for death metallers Obscenity.

We already debuted live in this line-up after some first few weeks of rehearsing at Kaltenbach festival in July and have ever since played some really cool shows throughout Germany, Austria, Turkey, Hungary and last but not least Spain. The Milwookis festival in Spain (Thanks a lot for having us there, it was a blast! Cheers to our buddies in Disbelief and Angelus Apatrida for the good time!) also marked our last show for this year 2008, as we will take some weeks off to work on ideas for new material and also to be ready for the challenges that await us in 2009. It has been a great ride so far in this new shape / line-up and we are sure it will lead to some really killer new compositions too, so we can't wait to share more METAL with all of you soon…

We have quite some nice festival shows in the works for 2009, a return to play in Portugal in January and have also been confirmed to finally debut on Greek stages. We will play on Thursday, February 26th in Thessaloniki at "Eightball Club" (with Psycho Choke & Drunkard) and then at Friday, February 27th in Athens at "Texas-Necropolis Club" (with Suicidal Angels, The Great Black & Damned Creek). Hope to see you there, fellow Thrashers of Greece!

***    Dew-Scented news June / July 2008    ***

Hey everybody…

Thought we would send you some Summer greetings and re-cap a little since it's been silent over here in the last weeks and people are starting to wonder what's up…

Well, the usual: Some touring, some watching of the European soccer championship, some line-up trouble and then being part of a TV quiz show. But let's walk through slowly…

First off, we would like to look back to our February "European Devastation" run with our friends Severe Torture and Destinity: What a blast! It was straining to play longer headline sets every night but we seriously enjoyed all dates and seeing so many good people come out to support this killer package! Can't wait to do something like that again, so thanks to everybody involved! Also thanks to our former drummer Uwe for re-joining us on those dates for some class METAL and good times!

Then we went to Malta for two shows in March. A first for us there: Great country, awesome people! Loved it and hope we will return one day soon! These were the last shows with us for Uwe again, so we had some good partying!

Andi came back to drum for us at shows in April and May and then we also ended up being part of a quiz show with the whole band on national TV here in Germany. We were "special" guests with the full band at the RTL daily quiz show "Einer gegen Hundert" (Translates to "1 vs. 100") (http://www.rtl.de/tv/tv_963090.php) and had a fun ride trying to answer tons of questions the right way ;-)  Our appearance(s) as special audience-candidates (No, we aren't performing music there, we are "Metalhead-Guests"…) will be broadcasted between Monday June 30th and Tuesday July 8th on RTL at 5 PM. Check it out if you are from Germany or have access to this channel! Here is a photo of Dew-Scented with quiz-show host Wolfram Kons.

So, what's next? Well, we are currently fixing some line-up trouble (We will tell you more about it soon...), which is why we are a bit hidden underneath the surface and staying busy in our new rehearsal room. Also, we have some shows coming up as follows, so hope to see some of you there:

Hey everybody…

Been a while, so here are some news from the D-S camp for you…

First of all, thanks to everybody who came out to our "local" show in Walsrode / Germany last weekend! It was a amazing seeing so many old friends there after not being around in that area for looong years. It was also a pleasure to have gathered the entire first D-S line-up amongst the visitors and the aftershow party ruled! So, thanks for that! We should have photos and some video materials from that show on our websites soon…

Some of you noticed, some others might have heard: Our original drummer Uwe Werning (who has played on the last 6 records, including the current one "Incinerate") did play drums for us in Walsrode and the good news is that he will be playing the upcoming tour with us too. We are seriously looking forward to that!!!

Talking about the tour, there has been a recent and last-minute change for the location of the show in Hannover / Germany for logistic reasons out of our control. The show will now happen in Hannover's "Musikzentrum" (www.musikzentrum-hannover.de), so please spread the word!

European Tour in February 2008:

We haven't played out with our friends in SEVERE TORTURE since 2002's European tour supporting Cannibal Corpse and, as you might know, Marvin Vriesde (a well-known face in the Dew-Scented camp since he toured with us in 1996, 2002 and 2005, also being featured on our "Issue VI" album) has been ST's guitarist for some years now. "Keep it in the family!", as they say! DESTINITY have been friends of ours for some years now as well and we have often gigged together in France, so it's time to spread it out some more. SEVERE TORTURE have a new album called "Sworn Vengeance" out in November via Earache and DESTINITY will have their Jacob Hansen (Invocator rules!) produced new album "The Inside" out before the tour commences, so it should be plenty of aggressive METAL action available on the shows! Watch out for local support band info and more details about the tourdates to be announced soon…

Hey there!

Just a quick update to mention that DEW-SCENTED will be appearing tomorrow at Germany's prestigious Rock Hard Open Air Festival (taking place in Gelsenkrichen at the Amphitheater). This is last-minute, as we are replacing our buddies in Naglfar who unfortunately had to cancel their show. More details at www.rockhardfestival.de

Hi everybody!..

 

This is Flo and Hendrix writing. It's about time again for a D-S news update.

First up: We had an amazing time on the "No Mercy" tour with Moonspell, Napalm Death, Behemoth as well as Root and made a lot of new friends. Thanks again to the amazing guys in the other bands and all the crew people for the cool time! It was the first tour with our new drummer Andi and he really did a good job on it. Welcome on board, dude!

We also just performed an excellent festival show in Portugal. Thank you, Barroselas Metal Fest! The show was great, the flight was rough, the party was tough and people went crazy! Hope we'll be back in Portugal soon!

"Incinerate" is proudly being voted as the "record of the month" in Germany's Legacy Magazine 05/07…again! This is already the third time for Dew-Scented having the pleasure to be the Soundcheck-Winner in Legacy Magazine! Cheerz for that! The new album has received awesome press all over the globe and we have been busy doing tons of interviews recently. Thanks for the support! Hey everybody…..

It's time for some ..DEW-SCENTED news again. Here we are back in Frankfurt's beautiful Batschkapp today on the No Mercy Tour. The gear is ready to go on stage and we look forward to an intense show…I remember we had a good time here with Trivium and Wolf at the end of 2006!

We had a good night in Hamburg yesterday, meeting loads of friends – thanks for coming out!

The news for today is that we are launching the video clip for "That's Why I Despise You" off our new album "Incinerate" today.

Patric Ullaeus from Revolver Film Company directed it and we are super happy with how things came out! Enjoy!

Also, we can now proudly confirm that DEW-SCENTED will be returning to Hamburg on June 13th to support Machine Head and As I Lay Dying at the great "Docks" club. It's a great honour for us to be playing with Machine Head, especially considering how much their new album is currently blowing us away - Amazing stuff!
