They Have recenTly enT3red a conTesT for Their ProjecT "ToGeTHerland" wHicH would be an ouTside Play area for THe cHildren.

hey y'all.....

we're getting all excited and anxious to leave, complete with the little piddles of pee in our undies.....now thats excited! hope your are too, cuz we're ready to knock yer socks off (and hey, maybe yer undies too) with this one...we've got some new toons, new noise, lotsa new, so expect-not a repeat of previous tours...mind you, little rituals will still be intact, ie. care losing her shit in the audience, you having to plug your ears here and there..that stuff we just can't stop....

anyways, just wanted to give ya's a heads up on whats to come....for one, we've gotten ahold of a handy little device that can film and take pictures and stuff--imagine that!--so we're gonna be posting stuff often as we cross this crazy country of ours, so check back here, well....often! it should be entertaining...or shit, it might just be downright boring....time will tell! you of course are encouraged to make your way out to yer local watering hole that we've selected to ravage that nite, and join in the debauching with us. and as you may or may not know, we're bringing along another little band from ontario, 'raggedy angry'...we've yet to play with them, or even meet them for that matter, but they'll definitely add to the mayhem each nite will bring, so we're looking forward to that...

a couple reminders/notices: if you live in the toronto area, OR if you are one of the few lucky kids that have MuchMusic zapped into your television (ie. everyone), remember that on December 9th, we, for the first time, will be the musical guest on MuchOnDemand!!!!
as the routine goes, we'll do some interview stuff, then play some music for canaduh! whether they like it or not, hahaha....if you're one of those that live in the city though, don't be lazy and sit in your living room for it....cuz we all know, watching live music on the tube, especially our music, is far less...ummmm, ball-busting would be the term....our aim is to shake the glass of the starbucks across the street, and we could only hope, fuck with the queen street rush-hour traffic! as a driver myself, i curse whatever band is playing at much when i'm trying to get thru that stupid intersection, but hey, i'll be inside playing! so no problem......come one, come all, be there or be square, and god dammit, show daddy who loves him!.....yaaaa, daddy would be us....

so, that seems to be it for now....oh, if any of you are into 69 Eyes, the Finnish metal band, care and i are on their new cd, care doing some singing/sexual noise parts 
(heyaa! just sold them a few extra copies!....you perverts), and myself doing some background shouts/growls/arrghs....i think our personal fave was 'dead girls are easy', with that one getting the 'obvious statement/clever perviness award'...haha...it was done last spring in LA, at our lovely producer Matt Hyde's studio, and was alot of fun to do...not like they need the plug, but if yer into dark european metal, with a flare for good humour and some 80's riffage, check em out.....cool?

ok, that really is it for now.....like i said, we'll be posting stuff from the road, so come get it while its hot! we'll see you crazy bastards on the road, and hopefully at MuchMusic for MOD on the 9th! and remember, spread our disease, bring some friends out to a show...we can all go down together....

hey folks

the 'so proudly we fail forever' tour's all booked, and we're packing our layers to cross this coldass country once again! this time around its our own tour, and the shows are mostly at bars, which is a good thing cuz (a) the stages are lower (so no re-breaking of ms. failure's foot, jumping off 7-ft stages!), and (b) we get to hang out with y'all...so some good times shall be had! the list is final, so if we're not coming to your city, we apologize, but hey, we're making a roadtrip across the country, so if the closest one is a few hours away, why not make a roadtrip too? fun for all! for some cities we're not hitting, we'll be doing more canadian stuff in the new year, so hold tight....also, when possible, we booked all ages/licensed shows, cuz the underagers gotta have some fun too!

we're also finally gonna break our MuchOnDemand virginity! well, they interviewed care last tour, but this time round, we're playing some toons! its gonna be on December 9th in the afternoon, before we play milton that nite...exact time and details will be posted closer to the date...and rush-hour commuters beware! we'll be shutting down queen street that day!....just kidding....

so its time for our second single/video, which, as i mentioned last time, is gonna be 'dead honey'...it'll be getting play on the good radio station in yer area any time soon..we filmed the video for it this week, which is gonna look great...i can't say too much though, so not to give away the premise...well, ok...so there's a happy family of worker bees (me, care, daz and stacy) working on making honey, when suddenly, a pack of killer bees (some shitty emo band) with H1N1 attack! they lay waste to us and our honey factory with the pig-flu, whining lyrics and annoying angular haircuts! ok, thats a lie....you'll have to just wait and see the video, but till then, here's a couple pix taken by our friend mikey sin...the shoot was a longass day/nite as usual, but with the help of a great NYC director, Moh Azima, and an amazing crew, it's gonna be a fine piece of work, so thanks to all who worked on it...

lastly, its worth mentioning, we've officially released 'Unicorn Steak' in Japan! there's already been a bunch of interviews and radio promo for the release and we'll do our first tour over there in the new year...so domo arigato, mr roboto! chances are we'll go there with a band that already do well there, Fake Shark-Real Zombie, from vancouver, who are also the newest kids born to the Shull Management family! welcome, doods...check out their myspace, they're amazing....

well, guess thats it for now...looking forward to seeing/hanging with y'all out on the road...and just a reminder, with the release of  'dead honey' to radio/muchmusic, make it your duty to harass the hell out of them with requests till your fingers bleed! keep spreading the disease that is die mannequin....

hey y'all,

after a few weeks of nursing our 'handi-capable' (is that what they're sayin these days?) frontgirl back to health, figured it was time to fill ya's in on whats going on in die manne-land these days....

first things first: care had her old-school platercast cast removed a couple weeks ago, which kinda sucks cuz its fun getting it signed by everyone like when yer in grade 4..but it was for the sake of healing better, apparently, and they put on a top-of-the-line 'aircast', complete with velcro and an air-pump for maximum fit! now she looks like neil armstrong pretending to hop around on the moon (ouch, conspiracy theory alert!) in her little spaceboot..better yet, she'd fit perfectly in the baloon that baloon-boy wasn't in!....but alas, it's getting better, and she can pretty much walk around on it now..well, hobble at least..next week is xray day, where they see how well its healed...lets all cross our fingers and say a prayer to the foot-god, cuz we all want care running round/jumping off stages for years to come!

so whatdafuk is new you ask? well, being so fond of touring canada when its cold enough to freeze your nuts off in a van with a broken heater, we're gonna do it! we're scheduled to cross this, our home and native land, once again, this time on our own damn tour! it's gonna take place between mid-november and mid-december...not sure of the exact dates, etc yet, so just stay tuned for specifics, got it? just one request from band to butterscotch: can we fix the heater in the back lounge (ie. matress), pretty pretty please? we're looking foward to seeing y'all again, and kicking your/own own asses one more time before the year's done! and like i said, check back here/yer local listings in the coming weeks, and we'll see ya soon!

in other bits of random news, we're gearing up to release the second single from 'fino+bleed', which'll be 'dead honey'...its a fave of all of ours, so it'll be cool to force it on the rest of the country, whether they like it or not! muah ahhh.... and by the looks of things, a vid will follow shortly after radio due to care's foot...

lastly, just a note for our friends in the land of deutch! you germans are a patient bunch, and we apologize for the delay in releasing the album there, and coming over for a bratwurst...just tweaking and perfecting it for your discerning german ears! i can say that shit will go down on your end of the world a little ways into 2010....not so bad, just months away really! so hold tight, we are on our way...and if you can't wait for the album, you can always order it from the website store, cool? hey, japan's just getting 'unicorn steak' (cooool!!!), so we've got some real catching up to do there.....that'll be another blog, another day.....
