We  are delighted to confirm that we will open on the IMRO STAGE @this years OXEGEN FESTIVAL.We have been busy doing some pre production for our album and were due to begin recording in two weeks but we have put it back a week so we can play the festival.....Hope to see you there!!!

...............Ok,the album is the news....and the trinkets,well they dont exsist,well they do..but we dont have any...or maybe the songs on the album are the trinkets...Yeah yeah i like that....

Now,Everything is almost in place for us to begin recording our debut album(of trinkets),we have the location,we have the songs(we have demo'd around 20 and are in the process of cutting that down to around 11 or 12).We hope to begin recording at the start of may and all being well will be finished(tracking at least) in time for some summer festivals.In the meantime we are gonna be quite on the gig front,we are due to play with Director at the start of may and that is our only gig on the horizon while we concentrate on making a superb album(and it will be,ive heard the demos).
We have talked about maybe doing a small show in the next month or two to give the new songs a blast,but we will see how that pans out,our priority is to get the album completed as quick as possible.
So,in the meantime,enjoy the spring and look forward to the summer and we will see you at the festivals with a completed album(or nearly completed at least)

Oh by the way...in the next couple of weeks we will have some new Distractor Remixes appearing on our page...keep checking back....

We recently did a live session for RTE's Dan Hegarty, which will be broadcast this wednesday, the 11th of March, on Dan's show.
We had great craic recording it, and theres a few new tunes to check out.

Distractors will play an instore in Dublins Musicmaker on the 14th of March.
We'll be only the third band to play in Musicmaker, as the instores have only just started.
So, come down and check us out in probably the coolest new gig venue in Dublin.

Ourselves, Autoban, Tony Barrett (from The Brilliant Trees) and Sleepy Rise are doing a gig tomorrow, Thursday, 26 Feb in Think Tank (formerly The Hub). All money raised will go to provide much needed supplies to hospitals in Gaza and will be distributed by 16 Irish Volunteers who will travel to Gaza to distribute this aid.

Please support this very worthy cause by coming out and having a great night with us.

For those of us who were in the Academy 2 last friday for the Manly with a Stanly EP launch, the very unlucky date proved to be anything but.
From where we were, the room felt rockin'.
We were positively delighted with the turnout. Some familliar faces, but alot of new faces too, which was great!
Sleepy Rise, and The Parks played a blinder, and were received with gratitude by all present.
So roll-on Think Tank on the 26th, and we''ll hopefully see you all there for some more noisy debauchery.
