Here is a list of some places I have been to & a little writing about what I did there. These are not the full stories. I just browsed my paper travel journal & wrote about highlights:

United States: This is where I live. I've been to many of the 50 states, and here is a list of them and some writing:

New York- I've lived here all my life. I live about 40 minutes outside of Manhattan. I've seen so many things here. Usually I just hang out with friends around here in Rockland County, especially downtown Nyack, but I love going into the city and exploring; there's always something to do. I've been to Niagra Falls, the Empire State building, Howe Caverns, skiing in Lake Placid, skydiving in New Paltz, exploring in Woodstock, The Botanical Gardens, The Bodies Exhibit, The Museum Of Sex, Museum Of Natural History, Chapel Of Sacred Mirrors (Alex Gray artwork), Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Madame Tussaud's Wax museum, and so much more that it would be impossible to write it all. I have seen The Phanthom Of The Opera, Mamma Mia!, Fuerzabruta (awesome!), and The Little Mermaid (scroll to very bottom of this blog for a link to my review). I think that everyone who has the chance should visit New York City at least once. I'm in love with the place and am grateful that I live fairly close. My favorite areas are Chinatown, Southstreet Seaport, Greenwich Village, Little Italy, Soho, and Times Square. I can sometimes be found relaxing at the Russian Bathhouse (RussianTurkishBaths.com). I also love "Little Britain" (Greenwich Ave, very tiny area) where you can get fish n' chips at A Salt And Battery and some authentic British food at Tea And Sympathy (ASaltAndBattery.com, TeaAndSympathyNewYork.com). Go here for some NYC photo tours: http://www.nyctourist.com/photo_menu.htm

New Jersey- My uncle owns an awesome boat in NJ, and my family and I go on it every summer. I sometimes go to Atlantic City, and I go to Belmar Beach a lot during the summer, and Six Flags. I've done so many things here that it is impossible to write them all, so if you must know, ask about a specific place.

Pennsylvania- My uncle and one of my aunts lives in Pennsylvania, and I often go there for holidays. I've also been to the Pocono's for vacation, Hershey Park, Long Wood Gardens, an Amish farm, Cyrstal Cave ... and so much more. I've also taken a few day trips into Philadelphia, mainly to attend workshops at The Philadelphia Rebirthing Center, & to go out to eat. One of my favorite things was seeing Z-Man Pots N' Pans on the streets of Philly. YouTube him!

California- I went there for a vacation. We went to Sandiego Zoo, Rodeao Drive, saw the homes of many famous celebrities, etc.

Florida- Went there for a vacation. My sister and I swam with dolphins (that was a dream come true), went to the beach a lot (it was right across the street from our hotel), went to amusement parks, and went jet skiing. The 2nd time I went, we went to Disney World, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Pleasure Island.

Maryland- I went there on a class trip, to Washington D.C. We saw a ton of awesome monuments, and went to Arlington National Cemetery.

New Hampshire- I went there when I was younger. I don't remember many things about it but I know that we got to see Old Man In The Mountain, etc.

Connecticut- I often come here to go to Fox Woods, even thought I'm not into gambling. I've been to the Maritime Center with my Mom and my cousin, and I've been to Mohegan Sun quite a few times.

Rhode Island- Again, I was very young so I don't remember much, but I know we saw the Newport Mansions. One time I stopped there while passing through the state on a road trip to eat at Cracker Barrel. :)

Massachusetts- The only thing I remember when I went there was going to the Children's Museum, saw where the Boston Tea Party took place, and we took busses, taxicabs, and trains everywhere. And we went to Salem, too. The 2nd time I went, we took a ferry across the water to Martha's Vineyard, and stayed in Edgartown. While we were there, we did a lot of shopping, went to some restaurants, and rode on mopeds. On my 3rd trip, I stayed in Cape Cod & took frequent trips into Provincetown (very gay-friendly & liberal). I went whale-watching, out to eat, bowling, got a henna tattoo, etc. On my 4th trip, I stayed in Brockton & took a day trip into the very historic Salem, where my friends & I explored the Witch Dungeon Museum & other cool places. During another trip to Cape Cod & P-Town, we pretty much did the same things, plus we visited the Pilgrim Monument Tower & took a trolley tour through town. One of my favorite restaurants visited during this trip was The Lobster Pot.

Virginia- Vacation. Just stayed at the beach and went to Colonial Williamsburg.

Vermont- I went there with my family and my Grandparents. We pretty much just went skiing the whole time. The 2nd time I went in '09 with some friends, we stayed at a resort in Killington, & spent the whole time in the hot tubs, sauna, steam room, went out to great restaurants, & went to a local rock climbing gym.

Washington- I went there for a few days with my parents for a business trip. We stayed in Seattle. We shopped around at Pike Market and other places which was awesome. Going from store to store was like going from country to country. It was very diverse, and the people who live there are, too. We also drove up to Mt. Rainier which was absolutely breath taking! If you ever go to Washington, be sure to check out Mt. Rainier. It's amazing. On the way up, we also stopped to see Skookam Falls. Some restaurants we ate at were Typhoon (Thai food), Assaggio (Italian food), and The Crab Pot (seafood). The Crab Pot was very primitive. They just throw whole shrimp (eyes and everything), corn on the cob, and other weird stuff onto the table for everyone to share, and the utensil they give you is a mallet, not a fork.

Arizona- Vacation. Of course we saw The Grand Canyon, which was too beautiful to even attempt to put into words. We also went horseback riding 800-ft up into the red rock mountains, & found an isolated creek where we swung from ropes.

Nevada- Vacation. We were staying in Las Vegas. We saw the Hoover Dam, walked around The Strip in Vegas, and visited many famous hotels such as the Bellagio, Luxor, NY NY (my favorite), Monte Carlo, Excalibar, MGM, etc.

Maine- I went up there for about 3 days on a Business trip w/ my father. We stayed in Bangor, & went to Acadia National Park, as well as Bar Harbor.

Canada: My Mom and I went there with my Dad on a business trip. We were staying in Toronto. We saw many interesting buildings including the Sky Dome, and shopped at one of the biggest malls I've ever seen. The 2nd time I went with my girlfriend to visit friends. We drove up from NY & crossed the border via the Peace Bridge. We stayed in Guelph, Ontario, & we did local things around town & went out to eat. We also drove into Toronto & took a ferry into Toronto Island, & saw the CN Tower. On the way back to the U.S., we stopped by the beautiful Niagara Falls & took the Rainbow Brige back into the country.

Mexico: I went there for a vacation. The thing I remember most was the awesome hotel, the snow white sand, and the crystal clear blue water. We took a boat to the middle of the ocean and went snorkeling and since the water was so clear, the fish were easy to see. We also rode horses through Mayan ruins in the jungle and the man that was guiding us was a descendant of the Mayans.

Italy: I went there for a vacation when I was younger. We flew into northern Italy, then flew to Sicily (the home of my ancestors). We went on an awesome cruise, some people had mudbaths, and we visited Taormina. We visited Vulcano, too, which was cool because the sand there was made out of volcano ash. The whole time we were there, we didn't stay at a hotel; we stayed at my Grandpa's house (he lives in the U.S., but he has a house there, too.)

Puerto Rico: I went there for a vacation. We went to a beautiful rain forest that had a lot of awesome plants, we sailed out to an uninhabited, deserted island and went snorkeling, sailed out to the middle of the ocean and snorkeled again (the water was bright blue and the fish were beautiful), shopped at Old San Juan, dinned at very nice restaurants (Indian and Mexican), etc. The 2nd time I went was on a cruise w/ my friends, & we went to Fort San Cristobal, drank @ Senor Frogs, & had pina coladas at Barrachina, which is where the 1st ever pina colada was made. The restaurant was actually on an episode of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations on The Travel Channel.

Portugal: Vacation. We stayed in Lisbon and went to see the famous church for "Our Lady Fatima." While there we saw the graves of the children that Fatima is said to have saved, and we lit those tall candles outside. We also traveled around different cities on the west coast and saw many famous monuments, something that looked like an old prison, and visited a zoo of wild animals and exotic birds. Portugal was very different from the U.S. For example, when you order coffee, it is never to-go. They always serve it to you in a glass, usually an espresso cup. A lot of the meals are mainly meats and breads (red wine, too). In Lisbon and many other parts, the sidewalks are made of cobblestone, and in the roads you will see some of the smallest cars ever created. Oh ... and every bathroom (there called WC) is equipped with a bidet (they kind of look like drinking fountains for little-people if you ask me).

Costa Rica: First off, let me just say how much I fell in love with that country. I loved the simple way of living, the kids walking around with bare-feet, locals picking coconuts for a quick snack ... and even with all the poverty, they still smile. During my stay we did the Canopy Tour through the rainforest. We got "bungee" gear on, hiked up into the rainforest, hooked onto the cables connected from tree to tree (500 FT UP!) and jumped off the platform to "swing" to the next one. It was scary at first but very beautiful. We saw wild monkeys and parrots. After that we rode horses in the rain, into a natural spa in the rainforest. We covered ourselves in volcanic mud and relaxed in the hot springs. We also went to a rescue place and saw many exotic animals, and we spent a lot of time exploring the beach and relaxing at the pool.

Tortola: I went to this island in the British Virgin Islands on a cruise. We went swimming @ the beach, had fresh coconuts, lunch @ a local beach restaurant, & went shopping.

St. Martin/Maarten: This island was another stop w/ the cruise. It is ruled by the French & the Dutch, so the popular European alcohol, Absinthe, which is illegal in America, was available there. We bought our own bottles & brought them back on the ship, went shopping for Cuban cigars & other things, & took in the sights.

St. Thomas: Also a stop on the cruise, we went to the beach & some of us went snorkeling, & we chilled w/ local Rastifarians smoking ganja on the beach. Other than that, there wasn't much to do except shop @ tourist areas for discounted jewerly & flashy watches.

Dominican Republic: Probably my favorite port on the cruise. My friends & I rode an "open" bus w/ a bunch of other people into the local villages. The ride was rough & exciting. We drank cups of rum & passed out candy to bare-footed children. The tour guide, who was a local, brought us to a hut & had us try local foods like cocoa plants, sugar cane, root mix, coffee beans, coconut mixes, brown sugar, etc., & then we hiked into the rainforest in the pouring rain to visit a beautiful waterfall. Upon arriving back to the main town, we shopped @ tents for things like paintings & handmade jewelry.
