Current mood: tired
time for a blog I guess.. Spent the weekend working at Throws Clinic at Disneyland. I guess its the easiest work if your have to work a clinic. .. Spent friday driving down, our hotel was 1 mile from the entrance so I walked, then stood for 1 hour to ride space mountain. I liked the old version better, it was bumpier, this one is smoother. It was sad to see the old peoplemover tracks just sitting there unused. similar to this track. But i guess they tore it out of the buildings it went through and only the outside remains. Sleeping beauty castle was done all in white lights.. linkSaturday night was the Athlete celebration parade. I recorded it instead of walked in it which i'm glad because it wasnt even close to the disneyland parade (15min apart). Then they did a shot put competition in Downtown Disney at the ESPN Zone. Sunday was just cleanup and record some competitions and drive home. Have some videos to to upload to facebook, lots of promo for next years still to do. now back to work..

so, first of all, I'm so fucking relieved that obama won. I dont know how long it takes for people to realize you dont have to be forced into living in fear of an adjective (terrorism) and have politicians sit by and make money (cheney of halibuton) while people die needlessly. Wake up. Ryan, I hope you come back from iraq soon, alive and well, your wish was granted.
What scares me is looking at the numbers on prop8 in CA. Most numbers show it will passs as I go to bed tonight. How narrow minded are people that they must enforce thier beliefs on others? Marraige is not an exclusive right, and its certainly not something that should be denied to anyone, but happiness is a right in this country. The constitution guarantees life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and you just denied it, which I hope goes to lawsuits. I pity the people that were fooled into thinking it would be "taught" in schools, you live in a bubble that will burst someday. You should put aside your petty beliefs and recognize the separation of church and state and respect others right to happiness. For now, you will garner even less respect from others and your bubble of comfort will grow even smaller as you have succeeded in dividing this country even more.

no, not that Ozzy. Ozzy was a german shorthair that my friend mark has had since before i knew him. He'll join his friend harriet who passed a long time ago. I was on my run and mark just happened to be driving him to the vet and passed me and stopped so i could say goodbye.
We are all on this big ball of dirt for far too short a time.

for weddings. A warm one last weekend. but Carrie looked stunning. I think for the first time, I'm envious of Rich. Off to Healdsburg next weekend. My step-brothers wedding. Reception at his winery. The heat wave was ok. Only had one night of no A/C as I donated my portable unit to a friend who has triplet babies and no A/C. Now, just like predicted, its 54 outside and foggy. Fuckin SLO micro climates. 113 on friday, 54 on monday. My grass is growing, in my backyard. (sorry potheads). I was going to say work is a pain this week but it really isn't. I have a good job that pays well enough for me to live here and I can go to work in shorts and a t-shirt. I wont complain. As for my upcoming 40th, I was going to go to Italy 2 weeks before my birthday to see a F1 race in Monza (near Milan). The Euro is about .66 to the dollar (in a bad way) which would make the trip about $3000+. I think i'll wait until that goes down a little.

back from a vegas trip. stayed at the casino royale, which is the backside of that denny's you always go to by the venetian. Great parking, cheap room and not too smokey. Kinda noisy next to the alley by harrahs though. Spent time with old time friends for a buddys bachelor party, although no strippers dammit?!? WTF?!? I think he went and didnt tell some of us. I played my 1st real vegas poker tournament, was doing real well in the beginning, but played too aggressively later on and lost it. Saw some amazing "escorts" in the venetian. Spent some time poolside with my eyes popping out of my head. Won about $400 on video poker friday. Lost it on craps and blakjack saturday, but had a blast and now recovering at home from the 892 miles of driving.

Just got Journey's new album. 3 disc set. New singer Arnel Pineda is awesome. Sounds almost too much like S. Perry. Disc 1: new songs. Kinda mellow. Schon sounds a bit like satriani on a lot of songs. I kinda wish the new stuff would have more kick to it. The songs kinda sound too much alike both in vocals and guitar tone. Hope they get some energy and variety next time. Overall, disc1 is a 3 out of 5. Disc 2: classics. Sounds amazing. Wheel in the sky is better than the original. The others are great with just enough variation to make it good. Arnel pronounces words better so I actually learned a few lyrics I never knew before (just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit..). Whos crying now sounds weak, the piano isn't deep enough. Seperate ways synthesizer sounds weak too. I think in Lights he actually had the lyrics wrong "out of (on) the road without you" but its barely noticable. Disc 2 is a 4.5 out of 5. Disc 3 is a DVD of them in concert. Very good but Arnel needs to polish his on-stage manurisms. Looked a bit awkward, but I'm sure he'll find his look/groove. He looks like a kid amongst the older band members. 4/5 for the DVD. Overal, its worth the money and I LOVE the album art. I got the CD/DVD/T-shirt combo on journeymusic.com pretty cheap.

someone owes me my $8.50 back because that movie sucked ass. Beofre you read any further, there are major spoilers..
so beware.
First off, I'm a huge fan of indiana jones and all 3 of the previous movies. Raiders is still one of my all time favorite movies.
This is a sad attempt to get a buck by rehashing what once was great. This movie could have been great if the story wouldl have centered around archeology, and religous things, like the previous movies. This one doesn't. It starts to, getting into myan and ancient stories, but then BAM! Aliens. Yep. theres the spolier. Thats where I almost walked out. It became a lame attempt for lucas and speilburg to link the old indy to his son, the new indy. Thats the only saving grace of the film. The rest was CGI hell, and cate blanchet had no business being in that movie. Her character was ridiculous. Now I know why others compared her to boris and natasha. If you havnt seen it, dont bother. Its good for a few laughs but thats it.

Current mood: bored
I think so. Sprint called me today at work and said they wanted to switch us to a plan that would be cheaper and save us money. Huh? You want less of our money? OK.
Theres something in the air, different, like something is about to happen. I cant put my finger on it. I hope its not an earthquake.
I'm running more again. Lets hope it lasts because i have 2 weddings and a bachelor party in vegas to go to. Gotta get in shape.
Some of my stocks are doing very well too. Like ENA and ESLR. Gotta invest in a realistic future and oil isn't it. Go Solar.
Lets see, what else. I'm trying to get my backyard in shape. Its just a huge weed lot at the moment but now that my spa is fixed and the weather is nice, I started clearing a shady area and making a planter box. I want to build a solar fountain/birdbath since I have a spare panel sitting around unused. I was going to power my xmas LED lights with it off a battery but got lazy and just plugged them in last xmas. thats enough crap for now..
