Campus Progress’ Erica Williams explains why young people don’t embrace the conservative agenda. This is a well-put-together video and really breaks down what the agenda is for the youth of the nation. In actuality, young people are more liberal in their mindset than older generations are. Check out the link.

Some 30 years ago, a public health investigator stumbled upon one of the most notorious medical experiments in U.S. history, where some 400 black men with syphilis went untreated so scientists could study how the disease ravages the body. This is absolutely crazy that it went unmentioned for FOUR DECADES. Do you think our government and public health services would put up with this today? The Roots are the headliners to this years Earth Day celebration. It’s awesome getting to see them earn this kind of exposure and coverage. Especially when their last album (which was their BEST album to date) was underpromoted and mismanaged. Hopefully their next effort, Rising Down, will be given the attention that it deserves. What do you think?

The Air Jordan 6's are going to come back in May of 2008. These sneakers, which were last seen on Ebay selling for $2000, have not been around since they dropped in 91'. I'm sure these will sell out quick. Who's gonna be waitin outside wit me to cop a pair?
I first read about this on global grind's website.

Although Diddy just had a search for an assitant on YouTube, and announced the winner on Oprah, he's back at it again! I don't know if it's the fact that he just can't keep an assistant because of employer brutality (lol) or if it's just the fact that he is a smart business man and knows how to market himself. Whether you love him or hate him, you got to admit that Diddy has got your attention.
I first read about this on Global Grind's MySpace page. You guys should check it out at: http://www.myspace.com/theglobalgrind

Jermaine Dupri posted a blog on the Huffington Post, discussing his concern with the ban on baggy pants. This has been going on all over the south, it's on the radar for New Jersey, and parts of New York. Dupri blames it on the differences between generations, that the older just doesn't understand that it is a way of expressing yourself creatively. I think anyone should be able to wear what they want, aren't we suppose to be a free country after all? I've been questioning that a lot lately. What do you think?

A doctor in LA blames Britney's problems on Starbucks Frappacinos. He says caffeine can make you crazy and make you addicted, and this is exactly what happened. Hmm.. yea ok doc. His exact words, "Caffeine and sugar in this drink will drive your blood sugars and hormones crazy and it can effect your mood for hours. Once you get a quick rise and a quick drop, the body is back in a craving cycle again." I find it hard to believe a doctor who says, "She is literally on a roller coaster to hell." I'm pretty sure he means figuratively.

Bow-Wow was rushed to the hospital after co-staring with Chris Brown during the Up Close and Personal Tour, in Cincinnati. He was diagnosed with stress and exhaustion, and will not be performing at the next stop of the tour, in Chicago. You may not be the biggest fan of Bow-Wow, but this brings up the issue of health care in the music industry, and how many artists do not invest in a health care plan. This could happen to your favorite artist!

Photos were leaked onto Facebook on Thursday, of two students from Penn State dressed as victims of the Virgina Tech shootings. The students were wearing shirts that said Virginia Tech with bullet holes, and elaborate make up of blood all over them. Virginia Tech students are outraged, and rightfully so. They have made a group on Facebook against these costumes, and have been sending threatening messages to the students. I thought violence was the problem, and that is what these Virgina Tech students are mad about, and know they are doing the threatening? It makes no sense. I think these costumes were wrong and insensitive. But I do not think threatening these students is going to prove anything.

Grammy nominations are in! And it seems being arrogant and a crack head, is some good publicity for these awards. Kanye West is nominated for 8 Grammys, and Amy Winehouse is nominated for 6, including best new artist. I think these artists are going to make out very well, obviously they won't get all the awards, seeing that they are running against each other for some of the categories. How do you think they will do?
