As a white boy from a deeply racist family,I have had to outgrow my roots and make a change within my self that i believe will benefit me my children and the rest of the world. I am glad that America has chosen to make this change too, and like me,to the betterment of the rest of the world, we will eventually see whether Mr Obama will make a great president, and i hope he will be judged by the quality of his decisions and not by the fact that he was the first black president of USA. The day after the elections I woke up feeling the world for whatever reason a safer place, Is it?? Well for some of us maybe and others in war zones and conflict zones maybe not. Often it si mentioned that to be the president of the united states makes you the most powerful man in the free world?? Power is within us all, and what do we mean by the free world? Everybody within the world should be free. And, is a system of democracy that is only 300 or so years old any more free than a tribal system of government that has been around for many thousands of years?A system that we in the western world have tried to suppress at the cost of many thousands if not millions of lives?
Barrack Obama is not my leader I am, but i do hope for the sake of America that the change will spark a more fundamental understanding of self ,and self worth, for the coming generations of people who are willing to be lead, and eventually lead in kind.

Let's see the shift in conciousness because it's not just America that needs it, we need to believe that America can be great again.And why shouldn't it be?
