… unless you like torturing yourself with rejection.

Most people hate rejection. But some don’t.

If you like rejection, I think you’re weird. You probably hit your own thumb a lot with a hammer, and think that feels good too. Or you believe that the more you do it, the less it hurts.

Not me. I never talk to anyone about my business, unless they want to hear it. They have to ask. Even then, sometimes I STILL don’t tell them about it until I make SURE they want to hear it. (I ask them, “Do you really want to hear it?”)

Especially if they’re already in a business. That’s just  plain adulterous. Like asking a married person out on a date. Even if they’re unhappy, that’s still cheating, and if they’ll cheat with you, they’ll cheat on you.

So easy there, tiger. Don’t start preaching about your business just yet.

Most likely, people will want to talk about (click here to find out what...)

If you have just as many (or more) people _ _ _ _ _ _ _ your product as you do _ _ _ _ _ _ it, the math will apply sooner or later, and your business will collapse— because it has to. No other outcome is possible.

It’s Not The Money

The problem with MLM is not that people don’t make any money— it’s that they don’t make as much as they THOUGHT they would.

A few people will stick around just to buy the product, even if they make little or no money.

But the majority (75%) will quit— even if they’re getting a check— because it’s not the six-figure income they were promised.

And half will drop out quickly (within 90 days), because they’re not making more than enough to cover the costs of their products.

It is NOT their fault, and can be easily corrected.

But Why Do So Many Fail?

There’s a saying: perception is reality.

In other words, “It ain’t what it is, it’s what it looks like”.

Whatever someone believes about you, it’s true to them.

And, for the most part, advertising is perceived as dishonest.

Read carefully: It doesn’t matter if you are dishonest or not; most people will perceive you that way if you’re advertising.

So the best kind of advertising (Read more here...)

Our MLM/direct sales companies usually give us a list of benefits that our customers might like, don’t they?

But notice how almost no one gets excited when you promote the list.

I don’t know why companies continue to promote features/benefits that no one gives a hoot about.

Think about it. How would you feel if someone tried to sell you a product that promotes stem cell growth “because it’s healthy for you”?

Even if you believe that’s true, don’t you feel at least a little bit like, “So what?” (Yawn.)

No wonder people think we’re crazy when we try to promote these things.

So here’s a way to re-write the list to get better response:

To build your fortune in MLM (or any other business), you've got to look at it long-term.

Yes, you want to do everything you can to be profitable as quickly as possible. But you need to plan for how you will build your business week after week, month after month, and year after year.

People tell you they aren't looking to "get rich quick", but if they aren't making fistfuls of money within 6-8 weeks, they're history.

People need to be realistic. Most people come into MLM without a database contacts. To build an MLM business, you must have that database--- or if you don't, you have to take the time to build it.

The first thing you need is to build trust with well-targeted prospects. You do that by giving them value--- something that doesn't cost you anything, but which is very valuable to the person you give it to. You could use an ebook, audio, video, or other piece of content or information that brings value to your prospect's life, or the life of his business. In exchange, they give you their contact information and permission to contact them. As Humphrey Bogart said in "Casablanca," it's "the beginning of a beautiful relationship!"

To make your fortune in network marketing, you have to plan long-term. Most people figure, "I'll just try this for a while." Chances of that working for them are not good.

First, it's key to focus on the idea of building relationships and to realizing that relationships take a "forever" commitment.

You never hear anybody say they'll try marriage for 3 months and see if it works out. There is no doubt that network marketing works, when you use a proven system in a proven company.

Let's assume you've got that. Next, you have to strengthen the commitment--- yours and others'.

Identify each task that you'll be doing. Use a calendar to schedule the time each day that you'll be doing those tasks. Where will you be? Who can you reach to quickly answer questions? You need to be able to talk to someone who is actually using your system and getting good results with it.

It's important that you find out quickly for yourself, by your own experience, that your system works. The time-tested ebook "Success In 10 Steps" by Michael Dlouhy goes into detail on these thoughts and more. This very popular free book has been downloaded more than 100,000 times. Many have used its strategies to build their business.

Target the book to the millions of network marketers who have not had the success they'd like to have in the business. Those frustrated people can read the book and learn the key points of network marketing success, and a step-by-step plan for changing their results from bad to good.

The book doesn't promote companies or products, so it's a very effective lead generation tool.

It just occurred to me that I have over 1400 friends. Too many! I can't keep up with all of you.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. True, I'm having fun... but it's still all about business.

And what it takes to WIN in my business is a SMALL group of BIG fans. What I do is not for everybody; it's only for a few people who "get" it.

Most people don't "get" it, and that makes me sad because I'd like to help more people.

According to the Direct Selling Association, there are over 14 million of us in the United States alone! But half of them make LESS than $2,500… PER YEAR.

You see, there are two kinds of people in this industry: The insiders and the outsiders.

Insiders know how it all really works. Outsiders are still trying to figure it out.

Outsiders are "laser-focused" on their product, their company, or pay plan. Insiders know that all those things are worthless unless you have the right PEOPLE to join the company, buy the product, and influence other people to do the same thing.

So without the right people, the business doesn't work.

Insiders NEVER go out and get people. That's why we're called "insiders". People come to US.

Influence makes them come. When you have influence, people come to you. So if you don't have any influence, you have to get some so people come to you.

Outsiders are followers. Insiders are leaders.

But, for their own reasons, most people seem to LIKE following others.

So I'm going to "let go" of some of them. OK, a LOT of them.

And if I don't know you personally--- and you're here for something other than "networking", you'll be among the first to go!

(Just business, nothing personal.)

No more of this hanging around on each other's friends list with our fingers crossed, hoping one of us will buy the other's product or join each other's business someday. That's a POOR way to do "social networking".

Next, I'll be deleting people, some of whom have been on my friends list for more than a year--- who have DECLINED the open, standing invitation to be a part of my mastermind group.

The group is free (all you have to "pay" is ATTENTION), and the result for you is like what happens after Popeye eats his spinach. You will feel stronger, wiser, and able to do things you've NEVER been able to do before--- including ATTRACTING the right people into your business!

So I'm narrowing my friends list down to just people who want to have fun and have REAL success in their direct sales/"MLM" business, with no failure, no rejection, and no pressure on themselves or anyone else!

So if you want to keep doing it the hard way, and scratch your head trying to figure out why you can't get a check--- no problem. Just email me with the words "Delete me!" in the subject line, and I'll do just that. No hard feelings!

OR--- if you WANT to be a SUCCESS and you're tired of just watching others have it --- email me with "How?" in the subject, and I'll send you a link so you can see how to do it.

(I've either just pissed you off or woke you up. Either way, I WISH YOU WELL in all that you do from now on.)
