Here's links to a few interviews about Incognito that I did this week: Newsarama interview

And this one that also talks about Civil War and Death of Cap, very candidly too, oddly enough. Here: Atomic

Shit. Donald Westlake, also known as Richard Stark - creator of the Parker novels - died New Years Eve in Mexico. If you haven't read any Westlake, start reading the Parker books. I learned as much about writing from his books as from Ross Macdonald's and Kurt Vonnegut's, and I'm crushed that I never got to meet him or tell him how much his work meant to me. I was planning to interview him and Darwyn Cooke about the Parker GNs when we relaunch Criminal. My deepest condolences go out to Westlake's family and many friends, within and without the writing and crime fiction community, and to Darwyn Cooke, who turned me back onto the Parker books years ago, and who was living a dream to be working closely with the master like that.

The Wonderful Wizard of OZ - Eric Shanower and Skottie Young retell the original tale, which I never actually read, and it's charming as all hell. If you even know a kid, you should buy them this book.

Wasteland - Not enough people read this book by Antony Johnson and Christopher Mitten. You should. The third trade just came out. Read it before the fall of mankind, so you know what's coming.

Phonogram: The Singles Club - Just like the previous mini, it's brilliant, but this one is in color, and so it's even brillianter. Seek it out.

Courtney Crumrin and the Prince of Nowhere - My wife loves Courtney Crumrin more than any other comic. I don't even have to ask her to read it. Oh, wait, maybe she likes Cul De Sac just as much, but that's a daily strip. Anyway, the new Crumrin book is as excellent as always. There's more good stuff, but I'm forgetting. A lot of good original (or "creator-owned") material coming out right now in comics, too.

angel article

I was down there on set most of last week and it was pretty amazing. Sadly, I missed Lucy Lawless.

Here's another article, as well.

Hey, I forgot to mention that DC have started releasing the series that Michael Lark, Greg Rucka and I created over there, GOTHAM CENTRAL, in nice hardbacks.

The first one is out already, and has the first three storylines in one big book.

Get it at your local comic store, or if you can't find it, try online here

From the team that's won EVERY MAJOR AWARD in comics comes the most insane and evil comic you'll ever read!

And here's a link to an interview with me about the project, with a bit more detail:http://www.newsarama.com/comics/090816-Incognito.html
