With the release of the new ep coming up I thought I'd take a second to shed some more light on it.  As I said before the title of the ep is "Why do i keep hitting myself with a hammer? 'Cause it feels so good when i stop..." 

So... we just posted a Christmas song that goes by the name of "A Long Lonely Christmas". This song wasn't originally intended to be of the public/sharing and caring persuasion. Its so personal in fact that it was recorded in my bedroom. It was meant to be a gift but I was given the go ahead so... what the hell... its Christmas, a time for sharing.  

still working on the album... this time in a house in the mountains. ingredients include some singing... some guitars... a few keys... lots of sitting in front of a computer screen sifting through takes.... and keeping an eye out for bigfoot (i hear they migrate through this area).

hello from the backwoods of ky.... we'll be making a new record starting may 4th. you can look forward to lots of updates, pictures, videos and all of that other bullshit that the internet beast thrives on. 

expect some different sounds than you may have heard on reinventing the heartbeat. i'm not gonna waste anyone's time labeling and describing but i'll say that i've gone back to my methods of writing that lead to what i did on the jamisonparker recordings (pray for me). life, people, the universe, and everything in between has lined up events, ups, downs, and sucker punches to the side of the head which yanked me out of that dream state that was the last album and the result is... oh... i don't fucking know... its just different. these songs still find us all wearing a smile... we're just hiding the phrase "fuck off" behind our teeth.

and we all know how we secretly love that cocktail of dirty words and pretty smiles :)

p.s. just so you know... we wouldn't be able to make this new record without the amazing support that we always get from our friends and fans so thanks! i'm looking forward to playing way too loud, sing-a-longs, and fucking shit up with you guys again just as soon as we're done in the studio.

hello everyone.... i thought i'd write to let you know that i'm finally making new music. though the last record only came out in may, it had been done since january. being that i recorded it in dec. and the beginning of jan. i haven't actually written a song since nov. of last year. in the recent days i've been spending every moment attached to notebooks & scrap paper, pencils & pens, and instruments & gear and i've now almost finished an entire album's worth of demos.
there have been many ups and downs over this past year... all of which contributed to the fact that i haven't been able to force a single word onto a sheet of paper... and then, ultimately ended up being what's forced all of these songs out at once.
i'm debating on putting up a demo or at least a clip or two. i don't want to fuck up first impressions with trying to describe the new music...
