It's a song by House Guest, one of Bootsy's bands, from 1971.

Oteil and the Peacemakers from their album Believer

Fun line to play.  Oteil plays it on his 6-string of course ... so I transcribed it for that. I just have a 4-string, so transpose sections of it up an octave and it still grooves.

This song is also on the free sampler CD that's in the latest BASSICS Magazine (issue No.40) ... so pick up Oteil's album @ Amazon or get the Bassics mag @ B&N or Borders next time you're out.

Who doesn't love this Grammy winning piece by Bela Fleck & The Flecktones?   It's from their Left of Cool album if you don't know it ... check it out!

my #1 snack.... melt some butter, get that salt ready, pop some corn... yum yum!    i make it on this thing almost every night.  everyone should have one of these poppers.

intense music from a great composer, this was a commissioned work that was recorded about 7 years ago by an incredible string ensemble.   it's definitely worth checking out.  listen to the minute samples @ Amazon.com .. at least give track one a listen! - Weather - amazon link

also, i'm beginning to transfer old video tapes of musical performances and studio sessions to digital so i can put them on dvds.  it's fun to watch old stuff after time has passed.  i've found some funny stuff!!!  look for some clips of them on my myspace page over the next few weeks!   msg me if you want links to them now.
