Hey Guys, It's our last day in Park City. It's bittersweet as we all had such a fun time this week. It went by so quickly. This morning we woke up and it had started snowing so much! We are supposed to get 24-36 inches in the next 24 hours! It's just beautiful, the Aspen trees covered in fresh white snow. I just took our Park City mascot Wallace "Walley" for a walk and decided to do a little video blog answering some of your questions. So check out the video blog below. Lots of love. Keep sending your questions! xx emmy Q&A part 5

Thought you DBZ fans might like this interview I did with MTV this week at the MySpace Cafe here in Sundance. It was actually an interview about Dare, but MTV also really wanted to hear about Dragonball Evolution! Without divulging any secrets about the movie, I talk a little bit about Bulma and what I'm looking forward to seeing in the movie. Check it out! xx emmy

Current mood: excited
It's been a great week in Utah at Sundance. It's been lovely to see a lot of films here this week, to meet emerging filmmakers and actors, that's really what this festival is all about. I've become a fan of a few directors and actors in particular and it's always exciting to meet people whom you admire and who are so talented. The "DARE" premiere was exciting and the film has gotten an extremely warm response from audiences, which is really thrilling. It's been great to be back with the cast and crew, celebrating and reconnecting. We all became incredibly close on-set, as the subject matter was pretty intense and our living spaces were pretty close quarters. We became like a big functional family. Today we got to screen for almost 1300 people at the Eccles theater, which is the biggest theater here at Sundance. That's where we got to premiere "Songcatcher" when we were here with that film in 2000. We've been doing Q&As after the movie with the audience, that's been the most interesting part, hearing their feedback and their questions... a little intimidating when there are 1300 people with questions, but I think we handled it ok! It's been wonderful to hear their questions about our characters and to see how connected the audience really was with the 3 stories. Anyway, if you want to, you can check out darethemovie.com and sign up for updates. Here are two pics from the Q&A after the screening today Also posting a quick video a made on my flip at the theater right before the lights went down... xx emmy "Dare" Screening at The Eccles

So, I had a crazy day. I'm so excited to go to the premiere tonight. I had a very fun experience today, I was a waitress for an hour at the MySpace Cafe to benefit Global Green, an organization to protect and restore our planet. What a tough job! I have a lot of respect for that profession. I've never waitressed tables before, but for the most part, the customers were pretty nice and easy to help out. It was a lot of fun. Okay, off the premiere! Will let you all know how it goes! here's a silly pic of me playing waitress today for charity! xx emmy

Hey Guys!
Happy new year! I am so excited to be at Sundance this year with my film “DARE” which is up for the Grand Jury prize! It’s been snowy and gorgeous, not as cold as most years, but it did get down to 6 degrees last night. I love the snow, so I’m just all bundled up with hats and mittens and enjoying it. It’s so nice to be back together with the crew and my co-stars here, it’s been like a family reunion! Anyway, I’ll post more later today after our premiere tonight! I am so excited for people to see our film.
It’s been pretty crazy so far, photo sessions with the cast, a party last night for the film at the Stein Ericson Lodge where Top Chef Sam Talbot cooked (Top Chef is one of my favorite shows!), and we even stumbled upon a live stunt on main street. We saw a guy do a backflip off a 2nd floor ledge into a snow drift. Heres a quick pic I just snapped on my blackberry, just wanted you to see how gorgeous the snow is!
xx emmy

Hi! I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas. I hope you all get to take a bit of a rest with friends and family. The holidays always remind me about what's really important to me in life: the friends that surround me, the health of our family, and our love and support. Especially during this hard time for everyone in our country and world, I hope you get to spend time with people that are special to you. Economically, this is a tough time for most families I know. So this year, instead of giving gifts, we've all decided to make our gifts, spending under 10 dollars. Home-made videos, knitted scarves, or cooking dinner for everyone. Be merry and be grateful for what we DO have. I feel especially grateful this year to be part of the films that I am, to be able to create and express myself artistically, to have my small but beautiful family around me, and to have friends that I can count on. And especially for the large snowflakes in Manhattan this week. Nothing brings a smile to my face and reminds me of my childhood like big snow flakes! Thank you for all of your kind notes and holiday wishes. Here's to a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year! Lots of love emmy

I'm home in New York for a bit and it's snowing today! The first snow is always such a magical time of the year. Central Park is covered in a light layer of white fluffy snow, so fresh, and there's a chill in the air. Walking through the streets, your boots crunching in the snow, your nose gets all red and cold, but you never care because it's so beautiful and the usually rushed and noisy city is filled with a sense of calm in the night, even the taxis drive slowly. The smell of those funny roasting nuts on 5th avenue, people skating at Rockefeller center, everything about the first snow in the city is wonderful. I'm happy and relieved to be with family this time of year. I hope you guys get to spend time with people close to you and special to you. Here's a picture of me a few minutes ago throwing my first snowball of the season! I love a good snowball fight!!! xx emmy

Current mood: awake
It's 4am in Tokyo and I'm wide awake. Traveling is amazing, but jet lag stinks. Tried counting sheep, drinking warm chamomile tea, and listening to soothing spa-style music… But I'm still just staring at the ceiling. Anyone got any good tips? Thinking of going for a run on the elliptical, a la "Lost in Translation". Thought I'd post some pics as I'm up. Here I am on the plane yesterday, rockin' some curls au natural and doing the crossword puzzle. It's amazing I can even see through the maze of curls. My buddy Justin Chatwin took these. That's my stuffed polar bear Huggy, he's 22 years old so don't hate on him for missing some fur on his tummy. ☺ Here he is enjoying the good life. And, in case you're wondering, yes, I told him he had to turn off all electronic devices before take off. Lots of love and good sleep xx emmy

Happy belated thanksgiving! I made my sweet potato soufflee again. And had turkey, gravy, green beans with almonds, and mashed potatos. And pie. Basically, ate myself into a proper Thanksgiving food-coma. Then Friday I did it all over again with left-overs, which always seem to be somehow more delicious.
I hope you all shared it with friends and family and had a great time. We played holiday music, as its never too early in my opinion to start caroling. I love Ella Fitzgerald's Holiday classics. I found something out today, and I couldn't believe it. Did you know that Jingle Bells, one of the most famous American Christmas songs, was originally written for Thanksgiving? So I guess its not too early to get in the holiday spirit now! Anyway, we had a lot of fun.
I've been a little quiet in the blogging area. I've been wanting and wishing to tell you about a film I completed, but I've been sworn to secrecy. I am going on a work trip with my costar and we'll be taking lots of pics and chronicling our journey so hopefully I'll be able to share with you some non-movie related anecdotes. I've also been building a new site for all this info to be relocated to, making it easier for me to blog, video blog, communicate with you and update you with my travels and life. But more on that top of the year. Safe travels if you're headed home today after Thanksgiving, lots of love and talk soon. Hope there aren't too many airport delays for you guys in transit! xx emmy
