Category: Life
It's been a long road since I first made this page, I guess it's time for an update. A while back I was involved in a motorcycle accident that left me with six broken vertebrea and three broken ribs (to put the list lightly). I fell off the planet for a long while so that I could recover and now that process is finally complete. This being the third time I have cheated death has helped me become a more spiritual person. My biggest goal in life has been to help as many other people in need as I can. I want to make a difference in the lives of others on a massive scale, and Im beginning to wonder if God doen't have something importaint planned for me ahead. He seems to be keeping me alive and healthy for something, I have learned to have faith in that.

This page used to be strictly for promotions but with my accident and the gradual rundown of the Rochester nightlife that I was supporting at the time, it turned into more of a hobby, and eventually I completely stopped signing on at all. Now that I decided to ressurect the page Im finding all my friends out there that have joined in the last few years since I did myself. It's a lot of fun sifting through through the profiles and running across old faces. I'm living out in Waterport, NY for a little longer. Not sure where to head to next, but I'm glad for where I have been, what I have learned, and who I have come to know. I look forward to meeting new faces, so if you are in my neck of the woods, don't be afraid to hit me up. I try to reply to everyone just because I hope doing so will put a smile on someones face who might need it.

Ill be adding new friends as I find you guys/gals so hit me back to let me know you currently use the site. Ill try to stop into as many pages as I can to leave some kinda feedback and hope you all know that I think of all of you more often than you may realized.

Current mood:  contemplative
Knowing you want to change the world is one thing, knowing how to do it is quite another. I think you need to tackle this one the same way you'd tackle a dirty kitchen or garage, you just gotta keep doing something. It doesn't matter so much what you do, just that you keep progressing towards your goal. I have found a couple of short term goals for myself, and in some cases it's going to cost a lot of cash. I may have to give up a lot to accomplish these steps, but unfortunatly when it comes to the need of others, it often comes down to money. I wanted to share a couple these goals with you guys/gals, hopefully it may help people see the potential life experience you can recieve from helping others.

The first opportunity of interest is found here BIG CAT RESCUE: SAVE EXOTIC FELINES. One of the options is a 3month internship that will prepair the student for aiding in the rescue of the worlds large cats. 3 of the 8 subspecies of large cat are allready extinct, and without help the rest will soon follow. I know that seeing these animals on T.V. desensitizes us to the problem and makes us feel that these animals are fine, but it simply isn't so.

The second opportunity is more of a spirutual undertaking of sorts, however the potential to reach out to people across the globe is great. It is called
The World Race. It involves a journey through 11 countries over 11 months while performing missionary work. It's a way of finding out something about yourself and others, and making a difference when the chance presents itself. I know it sounds awsome, but its not for the feint of heart, this one will cost big bucks, but you will be expected to find sponsers, I just consider it the first step in reaching out.

For me it's about being true to my design. Leaving the materialistic world behind and pursuing my God given desiny rather than man's intentions. Maybe some of you feel the same, but I do not criticize you if you don't. Just thought I'd share my view.

As I continue my research on urban exploration I'm finding more and more leads on locations to target. Though none have come close to as exciting as the one I bring to light now. The place is known as Camp Hero and it's history is the stuff that all great sience fiction aspires to be. Take a moment to visit this link. The following is an excerpt from aforementioned page:

"Recently much evidence has surfaced indicating that the base and the subterranean facilities were and still are used for a tremendous amount of top secret, ultra-classified research and experimentation (much of which falls under the umbrella of the code-named Phoenix Project) in quantum and particle physics (black hole simulation), super-powerful electrical fields, weather control, psychotronics (interfacing mind and machine), genetics, particle beam technology, and electronic and drug- based mind control. The preponderance of this evidence strongly suggests that a great many of these activities have been thoroughly malevolent as to both their desired ends and the means used to achieve those ends, and have utilized unwitting and even helpless subjects -- including at times, youngsters abducted from surrounding communities."

I would be scared shitless to attempt to explore such a location which is exactly why I intend to do just that. Have no doubt, this place is for real. I currently believe that most if not all top secret activities have ceased within the last 10 years, and I think it unlikely one would come in contact with any armed guards there these days. Simply put, in this day and age the military would have moved top secret projects to top secret locations. I'd suspect that the period when it was donated as a public park (though 2/3rds of it was not accessible to the public) was a time for moving whatever projects resided there to a more secure location.

Enough about this topic for now, you have enough info to continue research if you deem it worthwhile.

It's knows at spelunking, urban exploration, hacking, and vadding and it will be my new passion. I was up till dawn researching this activity which mainly involves the exploration of places sealed off to the public. Caverns, tunnels, drainage systems, abandoned railways, aquaducts, utility tunnels under universities, abandoned compounds and facilities to name only a few of the possibilities. My primary interest lies in those places underground but may include abandoned surface structures as well. A sense of risk and adventure looms in the future, something I haven't felt in a long time.

I have a list of equipment prepaired, as soon as I feel ready I will hit the Lockport and Rochester aqueducts, documenting my exploration as I go. If you know of an enterance to the currently sealed aquaducts in Rochester please let me know. I'd like to see them before they are (possibly) reopened. You can read a great article on the exploration of a vast cavern system dating back several hundere years here to get an idea of the experience. I may be interested in bringing another individual with me so if you are interested let me know. Primary traits I would be looking for are as follows:
  • Thirst for adventure
  • Willingness to disreguard laws of trespassing (consider possible arrest)
  • Intelligent and intuitive nature
  • Willingness to reasearch the overall art of urban exploration, saftey factors, and specific details relevant to the destination in mind
  • A slender/athletic build is preferred, due to the possibility of narrow tunnels passageways or corridors
  • Physical endurance, specific requirements will vary on destination, but I eventually intend to end up exploring vast systems such as those found under NYC and even the 200 miles of tunnels under Paris (expected time underground of 2 days or more)
  • Experience in some form of survival in natural environments (mountian climbing, extended hiking, remote camping, homelessness, something...)
  • Military or law enforcement training a definate plus
  • Ability to preform well under highly stressful situations (lengthy small corridors, homeless people, emergency situations, possibly getting lost or disoriented)
  • You should not be claustrophobic, afraid of the dark (periods of rest or sleep may be in pitch black), or possibly afraid of heights (situation depending)
  • A friendly attitude
Hit me up if you think you're up for this, plese indicate which traits you have and the type of places you'd be interested in visiting. Tell me if you are interested in local objectives or if you'd like to travel abroad. Obviously the requirements for each destination vary drastically so unless you posses none of the traits above you should not consider yourself excluded from any given destination. Again, current plans are in the works for Lockport and Rochester, please send me tips on other locations of interest if you have them.

Current mood:  discontent
Tonight I searched a single word in google video... Iraq.

The first video that caught my interest was titled "Iraq Veteran Speaks Out On War Crimes". The description is as follows:

"This 20 minute interview will change how you view the U.S. occupation of Iraq forever. I cannot possibly recommend this more highly. An Iraq war veteran tells of atrocities he and other fellow-soldiers committed reguarly while in Iraq. I have never seen this level of honesty from a U.S. soldier who directly participated in the slaughtering of Iraqis."

You can watch the video here. (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5587990522549547050&q=iraq&hl=en)

Not trusting any single viewpoint I questioned the issues and moral implications that the film had brought to light. War is war after all, and it will never be pretty. The next video I watched, "Iraq: The hidden story," was even more revealing. The description is this:

"The story of what does not get reported in Iraq by the mainstream media."

You can watch the video here. (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3519855663545752103&q=iraq&hl=en)

Ok, now I was hooked, I had to learn more. Onward to the next film, "Iraq the Lost Generation." The movie description is this:

"Iraq: The lost generation is a documentary made by an Iraqi journalist, shows the hidden world of Iraqi youth after the US invasion."

You can watch the video here. (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6277982867673096457&q=iraq&hl=en)

It seems as though we are creating a new Iraqi generation born into a world in which they are justified to hate Americans.

The final video I watched tonight was "Iraq War". I actually ended up just listened to it as it is a speech. The description is:

"Hear the truth, you'll know it when you hear it. Listen to how America was decieved into a war. We care about America and think you should too."

You can watch the video here. (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7333556703536657423&q=iraq&hl=en)

Well I certainly won't be sleeping tonight. So many emotions in such a short amount of time, so many conflicting thoughts running riot in my head. I am an American and a patriot, but I cannot help but feel sorrow at what this country has done. Even after removing Sadam we still occupy the country and the president still speaks of victory, a word which in this case does not ever recieve clear definition. We have been decieved. We the people, the definitive source of power within the United States of America, have allowed this to go on too long. We have been misled by a media controlled by an aged government through the use of fear. We were attacked on 9-11 and it was only natural that we struck back in the same manner in which we were attacked. We elected to insite fear within our enemies as a weapon in much the same manner as the enemy attempted to do. But we didn't know when to quit. Now, even as thousands upon thousands of innocent lives are lost the president sends 21,000 more troops into Baghdad. And we will continue to turn friend into foe, and innocent into dead. If you've watched the videos, and if you feel as I do, then pass these words along. Much of the American public has yet to see the picture from unbiased eyes. I do realize that America has some very real enemies in Iraq, but we can not pursue them at the cost of a decimation of a people. Look at the fear that consumes them, it is not right that we take part in the making of such torcher on the innocent. That is not the American way.

If you've taken the time to research these matters please comment, I'm interested to hear what others think.

The following excerpt is from chillthefill.org

"The group trying to save Rochester's old subway bed has scored a double victory.

First, City Hall is holding off on its plans to fill in the tunnel with dirt later this year, according to two city councilmen who are running for mayor, Wade Norwood and Tim Mains. Both say they are waiting to see the city's decision in writing....Read More

Puffs of white mist float gently in the breeze. It is late in the year but it looks like the snow has finally come to stay. "Breath" comes a single thought in the darkness. One deep breath to fill the lungs. One exhale, and then a half a breath to hold for the next minute. "Peeewwwwww" the 22 shot pierces the solitary quiet of the country, echoing off into the distance. "Tick" comes the wispered reply after a second or so. At 140 paces the empty detergent bottle shakes gently with each hit sending back it's reply.

Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire,
Breath and hold.
Refocus
and then I wait...
Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire,

Every 19 shots I stop to reload and begin again. Thoughts go unusually quiet with such simplistic focus, the world falls away to something simple, elegant, and peaceful. The dance is organized, it makes sense. When you fall short you fall short and when you hit your target you hit your target. Everything determined by how you dance to the beat of silence. I could sit for hours in this world. Perhaps even days if night weren't there to slowly blanket my eden into a new reality, be it heaven, hell, or some other purgatory.

Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire,
Breath and hold.
Refocus
and then I wait...
I wait until the world feels still. As still as death and all my own.
Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire,

Though I aim with my right eye so intense is my concentration the left has fallen open a little only to remain disregarded and blind. My jaw relaxes and I can taste the cool air on my tongue.

Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire..

The bottle falls to the ground, the limb that held it up severed from the bullets. And then I wake.

I decided to rework the lan here, the temporary ftp server wasn't making the cut. A wireless server proved too slow and 40 gigs wasn't enough space for much data. After rebuilding the intended server I moved the ftp off the laptop and onto the new machine. The new server should be up and running. All data has been scanned for viruses via NOD32 and NAV2006. Currently serving over 50 gigs of movies, 12gigs of MP3s, 2 gigs of Appz, and 2.5 gigz of multimedia videos. Allowing up to 50 gigs of uploads and addition to a planned 40 gigs of data allready waiting to be added.

11/22
The ftp is up and running. Moved the warcraft pvp video over from google to my ftp server and I'm now streaming from that. Video quality has been greatly increased and you should be able to actually see all the equipment I had. I'm slowly adding more content to the server. The Sam Harris movie (The God Who Wasn't There) I mentioned before is up for anyone to view or download as well as the Glenn Beck video (Exposed: The Extremist Agenda). I expect to develop the web site for now adding streaming videos, mp3s and hopefully a live webcast. Once I get all the html right those people not familiar with ftp clients should have access to everything through the www site.

Still haven't finalized the ftp as I've been sidetracked on a web server which I recently started. I have to admit I've been spending my fair share of time away from the PC as well. Jon and I have had a good deal of fun since he got into town last thursday. Between the beers bongs and bars we've managed to visit many friends and fine establishments in the Rochester area.
Friday after the bar we drove by Arena 51 to check out how their bi-weekly lock-in was going. The place was rockin out to a variety of games at 3am when we stopped in. If you play console or computer games check this palce out, first hour is free to new guests. The main attraction to me is the 12 hour lock-ins setup 2x a month (first and third fridays) at 20-30 bucks. During the time (10pm-10am)there are six or so tournements set up for predesignated games. I also saw something about the Wii on the site so maybe it'd be a good chance to try the new Nintendo system as well.

11/17
Well, I woke up at 4:30 and decided to work on the FTP server. The test server is now up and running and I expect to go live soon. Login info will be posted at that time. I'd like to thank freedns.afraid.org for supplying a free dns as I'm using a dynamic ip. Please visit the site to sign up for your own free DNS. This will allow you to set up several types of servers regardless of your ip.

Breaking News:

Nintendo has a new console station out. Though I doubt the hardwarde is nearly as advanced at the more popular game stations the Wii sports a revolutionary method of controll. Check out these videos to see what it's all about: Gameplay.
Commercial.

So I was introduced to Sam Harris the other night. This man is amazing with his rational of society and religion. If you have even had any questions of faith, religion or belief you should at least listen to what he has to say. This is not a man advocating a religion, instead he promotes Atheism by examining our own society, history and by asking some very hard questions about religion and the bible. I'm currently looking for the video I watched which I'm sure you will all find as captivating as I did, when I get it Ill post it. Untill then check out this conference for a small sample. The most complete referance is in the book The End of Faith written by the same man. It's only about 9 bucks, a small price for a copy of a book that's making waves worldwide.

The End of Faith: Religion, Terror, and the Future of Reason..

If you like console gaming I'm sure you have been following the PS3 release. G4 is going to be airing a 3 hour special review this Friday, you can read more here. The show will run 6-830 in three segments, be sure to check it out!

Now if you think the PS3 is cutting edge take a look at the Playstation 9 which is allready in development! Though the expected release date is around 2075 this is not a hoax. Check out the commercial here. ZD Net has an interesting article on the PS9 here.

Last, but not least, Microsoft has announced the release date of their newest operating system, code name Vista. The new os should be on the market come January 30th though I'd be supprised if several copies aren't allready leaked onto the net someplace. If anyone would like to see what this os is going to be about check the microsoft site here.

Well with the suggestion of the FTP Jordyn offered to upload 80 gigs of albums. I guess Ill begin work on setting up the server and embedding a playlist into the site. This way Ill also be able to embed videos from my hard drive rather than only what is on the net. I've also been giving some heavy thought to developing a shoutcast tv station, maybe do some video blogs on hot topics, who knows. For those of you know don't know about shoutcast tv it's a video broadcast sent through winamp. Just look at your "media library" from the "view" pulldown menu. You should see a listing for shoutcast tv. Just click on it and a list of streams will come up from around the world. People are permitted to broadcast on a wide variety of themes so you should be able to find something worthwhile. Some other things I'm considering are a private chat room or possibly even a irc server. Hope you guys are enjoying the updates; I've been getting terrific response. As always feel free to send me suggestions, comments, hate mail, whatever.

Hello once again and happy holidays! Things have been in a constant state of change for me lately. It seems like my previous job in sales was just starting to take off when life threw me a curve ball. I guess I should be thankful that adapting comes so naturally to me. I've come to my mom's house to give her some support when no one else could swing it. I took a leave of absence from my job, picked up a few things from my place, and rode out into the country.

Currently I'm staying in Waterport NY. Though the thought of returning to this type of setting was rather depressing for a couple days, I quickly changed hobbies to target practice, 4 wheeling, and helping my mom integrate into the technological world by beginning her first e-trade. Yesterday I pulled her old 6mm carbine rifle out and popped 2 rounds off. At 50 yards I nailed a jug of water which flew high into the air and came down in tatters. At 200 yards I nailed a hubcap with pinpoint accuracy and that too took flight. My ear is still a little deafened and ringing from it and I can't wait to take it out again. I talked to John Z for a while and he should be coming up by the end of the week for anyone looking to get together. We usually have a good time when he's up because we rarely get the chance any more. So I guess everything is on the up and up. I need to figure out some form of income out here and have been testing the local job market looking for something decent.

It's been good to catch up with those of you I've had the chance to hang out with or speak to. It seems like much has changed and yet so little at the same time. For those I haven't caught up with yet I'll be around for a little bit so I'm sure we'll run into each other soon enough. Checkout the links on the main page and see if you can find something that interests you, there's a lot of good stuff hidden there.

I was watching the news late last night while they were interviewing the candidates from some important election. I noticed the speaker backtracking on words and using others at a couple of points and remember thinking that he wasn't the best at memorizing his speech. As I continued to watch I became aware of how he shifted the questions back to an angle where he could use one of his prepared speeches. I can only guess that he wanted to stick to only saying exactly what he thought people most wanted to hear.

We all know that politicians are just rehearsed public versions of what they'd like to make themselves appear as. I don't see any problem in being prepared, however I think the electing body is falsely under the impression we're electing individuals to positions for how that individual feel about society's issues. We assume that the individual we elect is writing they're own speech and saying their own thoughts. At the same time we know everything they say and do is guided by their specialists. They are told what is required to say to gain the votes they need to win the elections and I wonder if there is actually relation at all between what the politicians say and what they themselves feel. They're all worried too much about how it will affect their votes. It's no surprise that once they obtain office they follow through on little of what they say.

Looking at it this way our government seems built on deception. The people are not doing the electing, the politicians are electing themselves biased on their ability to manipulate and deceive us. This is how you win, its how you play the game, succeed, and are granted power and respect.

I suppose it's been that way since the dawn of time. Maybe it's what's required to run this nation, but I still wish it wasn't.

Hey folks, guess this update is long over due. Suprisingly my latest job is actually off the IT career track. I'm working at a construction company producing leads for all major home improvements. The job is pretty cool all things considered and it's definatly serving the purposes I decided to pursued it for. I figured that the sales experience would help when it comes time to establish my own buisness. So since I'm not in college this semester that's my only real obligation. Other than that I've been thinking a lot about moving to Cali in pursuit of better pay and weather. I've been looking at a lot of great jobs through Robert Half Technology. If you're in the IT field you should really check it out. I think Im almost ready to start my own business as well but I'd just rather start with that endever after I move someplace warmer (where I'm more likely to settle down). I've been a little disgruntled with my wild side lately, I haven't done anything insane, stupid or crazy lately and I think that's gunna have to change soon... If anyone hears of anything grand for halloween be sure to let me know. Anyway, enough for now... drop me a line friends and strangers. Let's talk!

Blizzard is calling to me folks... there hasn't yet been a time when I've checked the job postings at blizzard.com and not found at least two jobs that I would love to work simultaneously. Network administrator by day / game tester by night. It's soooo hard not to go! I was born in Pasadena California and I probably have more family in and around Irvine (blizzard's location) than in all of New York state. I have to hold off though, I want my degree first, and I'm having sooo much fun in college these days I can't justify leaving yet. One more winter (it always seems like there's one more).  People wait all their lives to find the perfect job in the perfect place and never get what they're looking for, where as I've found it and have to wait! I've always wanted to go back to Cali, I think New York has what is probably one of the best climates during the summer but the winters here kill me. One more winter and I can make so many dreams come true. Untill then I can work on producing larger goals than the ones mentioned up to this point, there will be much bigger steps after this. My secret (shhhhh) aspiration in life is to have a place in history and be remembered for making a positive difference in the world (as silly as it may sound). Everyone dies and I think the best a man could hope for is to be remembered, and to leave the world a better place than he found it. The personal satisfaction of being successful in life will simply be a good step in enabling me to achieve greater goals.

'But if you will listen to me, and believe that the soul is immortal and able to endure all evil and all good, we shal always hold to the upper road, and in every way follow justice and wisdom. So we shall be friends to ourselves and to the gods, both while we remain here and when, like victorious athletes who go about adding to their prizes, we receive the rewards of our justice; and here, and in the journey of a thousand years which I have described to you, we shall fare well.'

Roadrunner will be here in the 20th so I'll be updating this profile in a week or two... I'll be in touch with those of you who've tried contacting me in my absence ;) Taking a fresh look at this profile I realize how much it sucks so I'm going to scrap most of it and make something new (suggestions?). My camera is still not out on the market but I hope to be posting videos soon. I hate waiting (does anyone else want a xbox 360 yet?).

A lot has change in the last few months for me. I quit my job and I'm back in school full time. Still have the Caddy and the Pontiac, I still have Nala but Simba is gone. Grandma and Grandpa are gone as well and that still seems strange. R.I.P. I have one addition but he doesn't have his name yet (does grey kitten sound good?). I'll post a pic when I can... I'm in school all day tuesdays and thursdays so look for me if you're there. Anyways I guess I'm basically getting unemployment checks, good grades, and a lot of beer (quit smoking for school).

I'm starting to look at land and consider building but I also sometimes think of going to work for Blizzard in Cali... who knows what next summer will bring but for now life is good as a student and not working at the same time for once, woohoo!

This weekend is the Harbor Festival in Charlotte. There will be a gigantic fireworks display over Lake Ontario tonight @ 10 p.m.

Next weekend is the beginning of the Sterling Renaissance Festival. Check out the site to see the new additions to the fairgrounds and shows!
