We have a bit more to work out in the ways of mastering and design for Tbe Inhabited World and will let everyone know when it's ready to go.

You can certainly enjoy (or hate, it's up to you) some songs from it at one of three shows we are playing in the next month. They will be posted shortly.

Good People of Earth,

We are please to announce that our new record, titled The Inhabited World, will be out of the mastering facility and ready to go to press on November 1. We as collective of humans playing musical instruments could not be more thrilled about this news.
We also what to thank those who braved the akwardness and cello feedback of the Brighton Bar last week!
In true fashion, we are working on a bunch of new material that we will probably break out and test in a live scenario in some upcoming shows. We have a few weeks of writing and rehearsal and then we play in Philly on November 21st.

Citizens of Earth,

We are now finished tracking/mixing the new record! What's more is that we have put 2 of these tracks on the page for your listening enjoyment or disgust (we certainly hope it's enjoyment).  We also have some more shows in the works that we will be posting as soon as the details become sorted out. One of these shows will be our record release show, so please keep an eye out for that. We are very excited about the new record and cannot thank the keeper of the Hypersnake enough! Don't forget about the Brighton next week! We play at 9! Hope to see you there!

Well, we are FINALLY done tracking the new record! We are so excited with how it is coming along and are very much looking forward to getting it out there once mixing is complete. Mixing, by the way, begins on 9/8 and is running all week, so with any luck, it shall be completed by weeks end.

Also, you will notice that we are back on the show playing trail and have two shows listed. There are more shows to be posted as the weeks go by so if you want to come out and hear a mix of old and new, we would love to see you.

As far as a title for the new record, we are still working that out. We will say that it is different, yet familiar when compared to Our Attention (and it will push the limit of how long a single disc of music can be). It will have around 12 tracks and in typical Estella fashion feature several different sounds/methods/moods.

More to say in the coming weeks. We hope to see everyone out!

Well we at the Estella camp are really psyched to say that we have about a day and half left of tracking for the new record (still not yet named, but we are certainly throwing some ideas around). Dominic is up in Brooklyn today recording a couple more piano tracks and we have (hopefully) one last tracking day at "The Snake" following that. Then, September is all about mixing and mastering; more on those two items as they develop.
I just want to say as this thing nears its completion, we are feeling a lot of different things. First, there is a total sense of excitement that comes with any new project or creation. There is obviously for us, an overwhelming feeling of gratitude to Danny at "The Snake" for his tireless devotion and assistance. Seriously...he has been huge on this; going above and beyond and even playing on a track or two! These feelings are expected. We are surprised to find that there is also a sense of sadness as we come closer and closer to being done. We have had so much fun working on it, and the end result is what you are aiming for; but what goes into the process is almost surreal; trying new things, discovering new sounds, laughing...it's amazing. We hope that it will all come through when people listen to it. It's shaping up to be way different than Our Attention. For us, it seems like a natural progression.

Happy Summer to all!

We are rather close to finishing all the tracking for the new record. We are going to be held up at Hypersnakes all week putting the rest of everything together and with any luck, could be done tracking it by Sunday night.

After this process is done, we will be out and about playing many more shows.

We love you all and look very forward to sharing this new record with you.

Hi, we're playing a show on Friday. It will be a lot of fun.

Thanks to the fine folks at Improv Riot and Center Stage. We had a blast playing in your wonderful theater.
Now our focus will shift back to that which is our new record. We have Jeff laying the rest of his stuff down this week so that aformentioned light is starting to shine ever so brighter.
