It has taken almost 2 full days, however the wort that I helped create  on Saturday as started to bubble meaning that the fermentation process has begun.  This is a very good thing.  Now I must sit and wait for a few weeks, but the process has begun and that is a good thing. 

I had one of the most surreal experiences tonight.  I was fortunate enough to be able to see Gwar at a small bar near me.  Now for any of you who dont know who Gwar is, I guess I should do a little explaining.  Gwar is a heavy metal band that reached a cult like following due to there stage shows and several references on the classic kids cartoon Beavis and Butthead. 

Anyway, lord help me.  They were amazing. Down right awesome.  For anyone that doesnt feel comfortable with male body parts, bodily fluids or cartoonish violence, this isnt the show for you.  If you also dont like getting drenched in blood, semen, and urine, probably not for you.  Actually, it was fake fluids.  Just water and powdered food coloring.  The crowd got drenched.  I was soaked from head to toe.  Even my underwear was tie dyed.  I took a shower and a rainbow of colors was dripping out of my hair and off me.  I still havent gotten most of it off, but I am a lot cleaner then I was.  Hell, I was so bad that my teeth had food coloring on them, I was spitting red and my boogers came out different colors.  On a whole, I would say that it was a great experience and recommend it to anyone.  Tons of fun.  Great live band and something you need to experience once. 

I think the neighbors are going to call the cops soon.  GO BEARS!!!!!

I was sick all weekedn and I found myself watch a marathon of Rock of Love.  I think I hate myself now and I feel dirty and cheap.

I always here people talking about hte signs of getting old.  Your hearing going, hair turning gray, or joints aching more then they did when you were young.  But today I raelized something.  All of this things are signs you are getting old to the outside world.  I realized this afternoon that I am getting old and it scares me and really saddened me.  Not for the noraml reasons mind you. I was doing some thinking this afternoon about possibilities and scenarios for life and one inparticular.  The scenario isnt important.  Anyway, I starting thinking of my grandparents in particular my grandfather.  He isnt in the best of health right now.  ANd last time I was in town I dropped by to see him.  He wasnt the man I remember and that saddened me.  I have this image of the man that I grew up with.  That is the image that I want to remember.  The man that was full of life and always had a smile on his face.  The man that was resourceful, creative and always had a random wood project going on weither is was a doll case for my sister, a wind chime or a bird house.  It was always something.  THe most recent time that I saw him he wasnt that man.  He was an old man that coudlnt do much for himself and it scares me that this is how I am going to remember him and I dont want that.  I want to remember the younger man.  I want that to be my lasting image.  But it might not be.  Why?  Because I got old.  Your perception of people changes.  Those poeple that were once infalable in your eyes become falable.  Those people that always seemed so big and full of life age also.  All of a sudden they arent so big.  All of a sudden there is less awe involved with how you view them.  That is the sign that you have gotten older.  Not hte gray hair. 

You would think that some station somewhere on cable would be showing Independance Day on TV.  But nooooooooooooo.  I think there should be some unwritten rule that you need to have it on on the 4th of July.  Common snese people.

When cooking, it is never a good idea to cut peppers and then rub your eye without washing your hands.  Especially when the peppers are Jalipenos and Habeneros.  Not good.  Causes lots of pain.  Learn from me and dont do it.  

Random side note.  My condo sold today so I am no longer a home owner and no longer paying rent and mortgage payments.  So relieved.  Self high five!!!!
