hello myspace friends of mine.

i finally got my mac fixed. maybe some of you didn't know it was broken.

but it was.

apparently it had a faulty video card installed in it, so the mac guys fixed it for free.

anyway, lately i really like to cook.

i usually cook indian food.

i'm not indian, and have never been to india.

but indian food rocks my socks.

oh, and i'm posting a video of my music on monday or tuesday (japan time).

for those of you in tokyo, i'm doing a concert in shinjuku on may 23rd.

[25 Jan 2009 | Sunday]
hey guys and girls, men and women, etc.

this is emily. it's almost 10PM on a sunday night.
i didn't do anything today. i didn't want to. i didn't have to.
when you're a kid, weekends are a big deal.
i'm 19 now. i'm super adult. so weekends mean nothing.
no curfew on the weekdays. so why stay out when everyone else does on the weekends?
going out on the weekdays is more pleasant. less crowded.

enough of that.

i'm going to be building an official web site with my cool group of official friends.
it's not going to be very special or anything at first,
but i'm hoping that little by little people will stop looking at my youtube for videos,
and go to my web site instead.
i'm fortunate enough to know some impressive people who can build nice web sites.
because god knows my web design class knowledge has seeped from my brain.

i was the top of my class, too.

this just proves that high school means nothing.
you forget all of the knowledge the minute you graduate and then you become an idiotic adult.
why did i have to take (fail) algebra again?
the only mathematics that people need in real life are addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division. everything else can just go to hell.

thanks for making me shed all those tears back in high school, calculus.

but yeah, a web site. that should be super special awesome. maybe.

not as cool as my band which i'm currently working hard at.
we need to get our asses together and practice, but i think it will all work out.
don't give up hope, kids! believe!

oh, if you were bored enough to read this, give me kudos.
i will love you forever. because i'm a sparkly vampire. like from twilight.

lol twilight.

[22 Jan 2009 | Thursday]
hey myspace friends of mine, this is emily. i've just posted a new video on youtube, asking people who are willing to help to donate a small amount of money towards my university tuition. i'm going to be majoring in film, which is something that i'm really passionate about thanks to youtube. i feel bad for asking all of you guys to help... but this will be the only time. anyway, for those of you who are interested in helping me, there's a 'donate' button on my myspace profile under the 'about me' section. also, check out my newest video. i hope you're all doing well!

and i cannot keep up with all of them. but that's okay, because we'll never meet in person. at least not at this stage. but thank you for being friends of mine on myspace.

it's my second year anniversary on youtube. so i made this video, in the same exact place and seat as i made the first one. it's nothing special, but i hope you enjoy it anyway. and i hope all of you had an intense holiday season! see you kids around soon. *EMILY

Current mood:  adventurous
hey MySpace. EMILY here. it's been a while.

so it's December 1st already, isn't it? seems like just yesterday i was saying 'november has come' in reference to one of the best bands in the entire universe.

...too bad they never made a continuation called 'december has come'. because indeed it has. it's cold outside, it gets dark at five pm, and i find myself drinking hot tea every five minutes.

i hate winter.

i guess i've never mentioned that before, but there's never been a need to. not until today.

anyway, because it's dreadfully cold (exaggeration) outside i've been on my computer a bit more lately. so i randomly decided to update my trusty MySpace blog.

it's not as if i don't *like* my MySpace blog, because i adore it. unfortunately though, my ameba blog is so much easier to update.

i mean, i can do it from my cell phone.

in 2.347* seconds. (*estimation)

with MySpace, i have to come home, turn on my computer, log onto MySpace, figure out their lame blog manager and then post stuff. much more time consuming.

i'm a fan of convenience.

because i'm American.

anyway, today YOUNG MAGAZINE went on sale.
i have a photo shoot in it. a photo shoot that i think was taken back in July.
...i don't look much like i did in July anymore.
i lost weight, my hair got longer, and i'm no longer as suntanned.
nevertheless, i'm in the current weekly issue of YOUNG MAGAZINE. yeah.
my new and improved profile photo is from the shoot.

speaking of shoot, i intend to do some pretty interesting videos this week.
this thursday, to be exactly exact. well, at least i'm recording them this thursday.
but they're going to be super special videos so i won't get them edited for probably a few weeks.
i'm serious, too. dead. serious.

dead.
serious.

look at my face.
it means serious business.

*topic change*

it was Thanksgiving recently.

but since i'm in Japan and this country wasn't founded by the founders of America, there was nothing to celebrate amongst the locals.

so i ate some Vietnamese food and made a YouTube video of myself in a school girl uniform.

oh, this era and their unconventional ways.

back when i was a kid people sat around the television on thanksgiving and watched football.

hell, even if they didn't LIKE football, everyone watched it.

and ate Planter's peanuts*. (*not product placement)
the honey kind. because the honey flavor is just MORE INTENSE.

but i ate pho.
pretty mediocre tasting pho.
Vietnamese restaurants in miami strip malls offer better pho.
for cheaper, too.

but that's life, kids.

i have a pretty (very, actually) busy week coming up.
but i like to check my MySpace sometimes, so send me a message if you're bored.

i'd also like to redo my profile sometime. any suggestions?

have a nice one, guys. stay warm.
