Current mood: hopeful
The first year of school at Seneca is done. I knew I'd dig it, but the last eight months have been about a billion steps forward. I actually put in an effort in school and it paid off, I made a lot of great friends, I scored the best job you could ask for, I joined a great radio show, and I'm now getting ready to launch my own in addition to the co-hosting gig. To top it off, I get to stay here for the summer. I don't have to go home again. I don't have to take a job I don't like over the summer. I don't have to be stuck in a small town where there is literally nothing to do but drink and get high. I go to a fantastic job, and I work on the two radio shows full time. It's quite literally metal 24/7 in my life right now, and it's work related. Goddamn right.

Black Flame Radio is a new project of mine, and it will be launching in the not to distant future (ie the second my program director finishes with scheduling info and passes the info to me, I pass it on to everybody and launch the fucker right).
Naturally it will focus primarily on metal and industrial, and will include plenty of Canadian music.
So if you'd be so kind, please add http://www.myspace.com/blackflameradiotoronto to your friends list.
The show is coming soon, and it's gonna be a monster.

I've had this idea in my head for a project for a few months, but I've never really had the opportunity to use it due to time constraints. This is a final project that's due tomorrow. It had to be one minute (1 second plus/minus window for error), so I had time to finally make this.
I've also learned a lot this semester, so I now have the tools to really do my idea justice. Check it out, and let me know what you think!

Hense my display picture for the next month.
Veronica... it was totally worth it. You made the season a hell of a lot more fun, and I think you'd agree that I completely deserve to lose this bet. You're the queen, and I'm not fit to lick your boots. Nice work, enjoy the spoils of war :)

You fucked up.
I can't put it any more bluntly than that. I had to leave before Anvil took the stage (once again, thank you, TTC. Your asinine scheduling works wonders. Let's close BEFORE the bars do! SMRT!), but might fuck! Senate. Deamon. Rammer. Bloodshoteye. Those four alone should have been enough to have a lineup around the block, nevermind the added bonus of Anvil closing the festivities.
Regardless, the turnout was great tonight. Lots of folks showed up, and a fuckton of beer was consumed by pretty much everybody. Absolutely goddamn amazing.
So fix your fuckup and show up tommorow and Saturday. Believe you me, you'll thank me in the morning.

Awhile back NIN released a bunch of audio tracks from The Hand That Feeds, and anybody with some editing software was able to remix the song to their heart's content. Today I happened across said files and seeing as how I have access to studio space at school, I decided to give it a whirl with the mighty Pro Tools. Five hours later, I have my very first remix! Bare in mind I have had zero training when it comes to remixing and I had zero help, but I'm still pretty happy with how it came out. I just wish more artists would do this, because this was a ton of fun to put together. Enjoy! http://rapidshare.com/files/15294297/01_-_Derek_Tully_-_Nine_Inch_Nails_-_The_Hand_That_Feeds__On_Your_Knees_Mix_.mp3.html
