I have raised a grand total of $1815 for my Avonwalk for Breast Cancer!! A big thank you to all who have donated this week that helped put me over the top!!  To all those who donated or offered messages of support I thank you.

A special mention for Carolyn and John Bell who raised $160 for me this week!! Carolyn has been battling breast cancer with a deep faith and a cheerful smile. I met them both yesterday and was truly inspired...Carolyn i'll be walking for you too tomorrow!!

Tomorrow I will walk a half marathon or a full marathon, depending how I feel, I haven't been able to train too much these last few days because i had oral surgery to remove four wisdom teeth!! On Sunday I will walk a half marathon. i hope to be able to live blog from the event and I will be sketching for sure!!

One of the best things about this particular charity is how it helps women who can't get the medical help that they need, adding to the worry and stress of the illness.

"Funds raised through the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer event series are managed by the Avon Foundation, an accredited 501(c)(3) charity, to advance access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer.  The Avon Foundation supports a virtual national network of research, medical, social service and community-based organizations, each of which is making a unique contribution to helping patients or advancing breast cancer research. The Avon Foundation awards funding in breast cancer education and awareness; screening and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research into the possible cause, prevention, treatment and cure."

This year I am participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, 39.3 miles over two days!! That's a marathon and a half!! The real marathon though is the fundraising, I have to raise $1800 to take part. To donate please goHERE!!
