After a laying low for a while, surfacing only for a triumphant set at this year's Wadstock The Fig are back in action, doing what we do best - where we do it best - AT HOME! Yep, we're back in Bristol for our first home-town gig in...a while...

It all goes down SATURDAY 14th JUNE at THE LOUISIANA. We're joined by our longtime friends the ghetto fabulous LOS CONIOS and local new-comers SURMISE.

We think it's been too long, we bet you do too. So let's put things right. Like musical Feng Shui...

Bon soir! Three days into the Tour de France, with two fizzy shows in the heart of Champagne country: Thursday night in Reims to a packed out Apart Café, a rowdy crowd were blown away & a bowl of fruit punch was put away. Massive thanks to Hausen from Krautrockers Bad Punchline for filling in splendidly on drums.
 

Friday saw the welcome welcome return of Harvey fresh from a flight from the dark pits of Sheffield: the show was in an old Air Raid shelter-cum-goth club in the grubby streets of Metz; another electric performance with calamity galore and 100 ears left gleefully ringing.
 

Got back into bed this morn at 7 fresh (?) for a safe (?!) journey to St. Quentin for tonights show at the 97 Blues Bar.

The Fig are about to embark on our second European jaunt of the year, this time we're heading for the beer halls of Germany. We've also been working (ridculously) long hours in Ruby Studios in Bristol with Rob and we can't wait for you to hear the results...but you'll have to until we come back.

We couldn't see the year end without one more blast...so here we go...

The Big Fig Xmas Bash will be at Area81 in Bristol on Saturday 23rd December and will also feature the fantastic Love Rocket. To get into the festive spirit we've put together a flyer which doubles as a Christmas card from The Fig (gasp). It also has full travel instructions to find our party...

Greetings one and all. We're gearing up for a short mini-tour which will be our last of 2006.

We kick off tomorrow night (Wednesday 6th) at The Bull and Gate in London...

The following night (Thursday 7th) we're at The Pressure Point in Brighton...

Friday 8th we're at The Bell by The Green in Devizes, Wilts...

And the Saturday 9th we're back in Bristol for a huge gig at The Anson Rooms, Bristol Uni. It's an all day event featuring many of Bristol's finest acts - if you haven't got a ticket yet they're still available from Bristol Ticket Shop...it's gonna be big...

Then we're taking some well deserved time off to "see our families" - and work on all the new songs that we've got kicking around ready for another year...

Would be great to catch you all before Christmas...

Quick Post - Last nights gig at The Louisiana was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special and helped raise a hell of a lot of money
