Current mood: anxious
Category: Travel and Places
Its that time a year once again. We are off on another adventure but this time its not to the far east and India but out west. Stacy's brother and his wife had a baby girl named Lucy in September that makes the girls 6 weeks apart. They live in Denver and that is where we are going to start our month long trip, yes only a month. The plan is to spend a week in Denver where I have family as well and then rent a car and travel around CO, UT, NM & AZ visiting some of our countries national parks in a circle tour which will lead us as far as the Grand Canyon and Phoenix. I will be posting photos here and then check out youtube.com/user/FlowerClown for video clips. We return back to Cleveland on Feb 12th. Try and keep warm. Ronnie, Stacy and Little Millie

I have some extra time.
Stacy didn't sleep much sunday night because contractions started. At 8 am she woke me up and soon after that the water broke and we headed downtown to University Hospital. Rush hour wasn't bad so we were here by 9 am and up to the delivery room where we waited, and waited. Stacy's father Don and my mother Betty and my sister Linda arrived soon after we did. Around 7 pm the pain was getting to Stacy so she got a little help thru her IV and that was fine for about 3 hours after that she went for the epidural. It worked wonders and Stacy felt no pain for the rest of the delivery. Millie was face up so that added to the pain and at 1 am the doctor had to perform an episiotomy which made more room for Millie and on the next push Millie came into this World at 1:04 am on 11/11/08. I didn't get to cut the umbilical cord because of the complications during the birth.
Millie was checked out by the nurse and was screaming at the top of her little lungs. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz (3,374,000 MillieGrams) and was 21 inches long (533 MillieMeters). In the photos you can see a mark on Millie's forehead, this is very common but today they are giving her an MRI just to rule out any problems. If all is normal the mark should fade away by age 2-3. Millie is sucking on her lower lip which is causing some problems with the breast feeding but she has been taking formula from a bottle but in the next day or two we will get her to breast feed or we will just have to pump and feed using a bottle. We have been told tommo
UpDate! the mark on Millie's forehead is not a stawberry hemangiom it is a Port-wine stain so she will have the mark for life but it should shrink a little with time. She takes after Mikhail Gorbachev and one day she might be the President. The MRI came back and there are no problems and she is perfectly healthy. That makes us all very happy.
Here are some photos and a video clip links. I will be adding more photos and video in the near future.

We are still in BKK.
Our friend Bob and his brother Bill were here for 5 days and had a great time with them. Bob got a tattoo from uncle Monk. I have been posting more videos on YouTube.com/user/flowerclown there is a video of Bob's Tattoo. Yesterday our friend Pradeep, his son, and a friend came to BKK last night. I took the bus to met them at the airport. On the way home we were in a small fender bender. As the drive was giving his info to the other drive we paid our fare and walked home. Welcome to Bangkok. Now we are thinking of where to take them and where to go. I'll keep you all posted.
After 2 years of working on a balloon twisting video it is ready! I have sold one copy to a guy in England and have other people interested. Hope this will pay the rent in BKK because work here is not so great. I have details on www.FlowerClown.com as well as samples on YouTube.com/user/flowerclown Check it out.
Where is my hotmail? All day hotmail has been down. I even saw on CNN that there were problems. So e-mail me here or at theflowerclown@gmail.com
I need to change my booking form on my website because it goes to Hotmail and I can't loose the bookings.
That is it for now, I have many things to do on-line, working on the Dubai gig for this summer. We might be going back and doing something much large. Insha allah.
OK, thats it for now

Happy New Year..... We are now in the year of the Rat! So long Pig.
Bumm the clown just started a 3 month contract where he provides entertainment for a buffet restaurant. I know what buffets are like back home. Bad food at cheap prices, well this buffet is 600 bhat ($20) per person. Some of the best sea food I have ever had. Shrimp, salmon, fish and sushi is just the start. Stacy is happy because of the large salad bar. I have been twisting balloon there for the past two nights. The guests are 50% Thai and the other 50% are tour groups from Japan, China and Korea staying in the hotel next door. The pay is not very good but it is a start. Because of the long contract, Bumm gave them a good deal of 1000 bhat ($30) for a 2.5 hour shift. In the past two nights I pulled in an extra 1000 bhat in tips. That works out to $90 for 5+ hours of twisting balloons. Next week I have a lunch meeting with my friend Dej and 30 very important Thai people. I hope that will kick start the balloon business. Dej is the main reason why I am giving this a try. The other reason is that Stacy and I have fallen in love with this country,
We also checked out a Thai language school. If we are going to spend time here we need to be able to talk to the locals in Thai. We have some of the basics down (hello, thank you, no problem) but we want to learn more. I have been looking on line for classes and yesterday went to a school and sat in on a class.
Not much new just spent most of the day today doing laundry and cleaning. Getting ready for Binky the clown who flies in on tuesday.
There are also some new videos posted on YouTube.com of Bumm doing magic for beer and my Stand-up balloon show at the Roadhouse.

We are all moved in. The past few day were spent running around the Big C, Weekend Market and CarreFour. Big everything shops like Wal-Mart but not Wal-Mart. We got all the basics like a toaster oven, coffee pot, cups, plates, soaps and foods. Now we are set until we think of something and it goes on the list. Next thing is to visit Bumm's Mom and borrow a TV so we can get so CNN and BBC. We have taken over the bed room which is very large and kitchen but there is a front room / living room which we don't use so your all invited to crash here if your in the area. We already have a few takers but there is also a lot of time. I posted a video on Youtube of the new flat so you can see what your in for.
Saturday night I did an open mic night at a comedy club, well it is the Roadhouse steak house and on the first saturday of the month it is comedy night. This was the 4th time they have done this. There was a total of 6 comics and a tuff crowd. Well the crowd for the most part was tourists with there short time Thai girlfriends. The comics were good but there was little reaction. Three of the comics do this for a living and the other 3 were new at stand-up it or haven't done it for a 20 years. I don't know where I fit in. I have never done stand-up like this but as a clown I do this everyday. I just went into Dick's Last Resort Mode (where I started clowning) and made balloon animals the kind that are not for children. I used all my old one liners as well as some other rude / sexual comments and the crowd just ate it up. The manager who was from England was dealing with a customer on the ground floor heard the twisting noise and the crowd and ran up to see what was going on. Yes, this skinny little clown from Cleveland Ohio stole the show. Eric the comic who set this up wants me back and is working on other stand-up nights around BKK as well as other cities in Thailand. Stacy did video tape me from a far so I need to do some editing and then I will post it on YouTube as well. For next months show I'm going to try and write some jokes and use less balloons.
Today is Monday. Lets see what this week brings.

Hello to you all!
We have made it to Bangkok. There were a few delays with the flights and our luggage just arrived this morning from Tokyo, but we so happy and joyful to be here.
Yesterday we walked the streets looking for a flat to live in while we are here. The second place we visited had a place that is exactly what were looking for, so we signed on the dotted line. IT is in the heart of Bangkok, on the 23rd floor, one bedroom, living room, kitchen and 2 balconies. All that for only $450 a month. Considering it is the heart of the city and on the top floor the view is spectacular. The place is way too good for what we are paying but we will never tell the owners! We feel so lucky to have found a place on our first day and today is moving day. OF course we have to shop for all the necessities of daily life and that is half the fun!
Ronnie is performing at an open mike night tomorrow and that I'm sure is guaranteed to be loads of fun. We have had just about 20 hours of solid sleep in the last 5 days, so needless to say we are running on little fuel. But we have plenty of time for sleep later, right now there is a new home to put together.
Our mailing address is Ratchaprarop Tower Mansion 99 Soi Boonprarop Ratchaprarop Rd Room 2326 MArkasan Rajtavee Bangkok 10400. That sure is a mouthful!!! Not sure anyone will need the address, but just in case you wanted to send us something.
Everyone be well and we will be in touch soon.
Peace and Love! Stacy and ROnnie
