IN THE THIRD CHAPTER OF HIS 1964 BOOK, None Dare Call It Treason, John A Stormer explored the growth of Communism throughout the world. He started with the following quote from Franklin Roosevelt:
I do not believe in communism any more than you do but there is nothing wrong with the communists of this country; several of the best friends I have got are communists.
Vladimir Ilyich Lenin hatched a plan that would put 40 percent of the world's population under absolute Communist control, described aptly as slavery, as of 1964. The coup that put Fidel Castro in charge of Cuba fifty years ago was the start of the encirclement of the United States. Since that time, Canada have adopted some socialist tendencies, like a government-run healthcare system, criminalisation of certain firearms and tight controls over others, and even an activist judiciary, like that which in 2003 approved homosexual marriage nationwide. Mexico were under the controls of a socialist party for some 60 years until Mr Salinas was elected in the 1990s; another effort to steal the presidential election was made by the supporters of the socialist loser in the last presidential election, Mr Obradors, who lost fair and square to the more conservative Mr Calderon. Communists tried to take hold of Honduras, but have been repelled; matter of fact one such-minded individual, Mr Zelaya, was removed from office some months ago and replaced with someone who adhered to the national Constitution, Mr Micheletti; Nicaragua was once under the strong arm of Mr Ortega, but Ms Chamorro replaced him later, only now Mr Ortega has returned to power; Venezuela's Communist dictator, Mr Chavez, has enacted fiery control over his nation's broadcast facilities as well as violating personal liberties and human rights, a far cry from his more conservative next-door neighbour, Mr Uribe; Brazil have flirted with socialist tendencies as have Uruguay and Argentina; Chile experimented with socialist measures but have since rejected them, and Bolivia have a new socialist leader in Mr Morales. Communists are still active in Red China, Viet Nam, Burma, North Korea, and Cuba, but have become active in South Africa - although that nation has not been communised - and Zimbabwe - where communisation might well be an improvement given the dictatorial tendencies of that nation's leader, Mr Mugabe, now in a tenuous powersharing arrangement with Mr Tsvangirai (CHONG ver RYE)(OR)(S'VONN grr RYE). The Soviet Union appeared on the brink of conquering the world in the 1960s, even with a failed economy where people waited years to buy a car from the government-owned manufacturers Zil and Zhiguli and Lada, they were unable to feed their own people despite their rich natural resources which the succeeding economy of Russia have only in recent years begun to exploit, even despite never completing their Five Year Plans, they were carrying a strong military presence throughout Europe and expanding in other corners of the world - and their growth was financed with American wealth, public and private alike. To some extent that continues to this day, and in some cases the United States' State Department knew about the details. Leon Trotsky was in exile during World War I when he recruited, financed, and trained New York hoodlums into action in Russia so they could seize control of the shaky Kerensky Republic. Shortly after the war ended and economic chaos erupted in Russia; American relief efforts helped millions of starving Russians. Mr Lenin was able to consolidate power and consequently American compassion led to the efforts of decades of power that in the 1960s had left 60m dead and more than one billion in bondage; those numbers have since grown, with those in bondage even higher if only because of Red China's explosive population growth, and the number killed has soared to more than double that, some of that due to Red China's dictator, Mao Tsetung, who purged more than 70m during the term of his nearly three-decade dictatorship. The thousands and thousands killed since then are still a sign of Red China's continuing powerful attitude over their own people. Millions more have been imprisoned or even killed due to their religious faith - specifically by not ascribing to government-sanctioned churches, including those gathered in home churches. Brother Stormer explained how American technicians and their machines opened Russian oilfields, steel plants, and assembly lines for motor vehicles and armaments in the 1920s. Yet Russia still failed economically, and as was usually the case worldwide in 1933 - when the Soviet Union finally received formal recognition from the United States in exchange for an agreement not to interfere in internal affairs of the United States - they were suffering from a Great Depression of their own. But as those arrangements were formally established, Alger Hiss and his allies were infiltrating the New Deal, with Soviet intelligence officers in Washington establishing spy networks. Brother Stormer also explained how Mr Hitler and Mr Stalin carved up Poland in 1939 as part of a non-aggression pact - which Mr Hitler later violated after the Polish people were decimated. The Kremlin would subsequently accept more than $11bn in lend-lease aid, ostensibly war materiel to help the Soviets (now allies to Washington) fight off the Nazis but was actually non-military supplies worth billions, and after being stockpiled, the USSR used them to build the industrial machine of the Cold War era. Those shipments were knowingly made by duped American officials as well as actual active traitors in violation of laws Congress passed to prohibit such nonmilitary aid. In recent times we have heard stories of active espionage, such as that covered in the early 1980s movie, The Falcon And The Snowman. Congressional investigations found in 1943 that half of all American uranium and the technical information needed to build an atomic bomb had been sent to the USSR, showing that they had "unexpectedly" become a nuclear power. Meanwhile, the communist Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, Harry Dexter White, sent engraving plates, paper, and ink so the USSR could print occupational currency redeemable by the Treasury. This was a part of a more sinister reason for making military decisions - not the tactical demands at the moment nor to capitalise on the enemy's shortcomings but the longterm political advantage of Communist conspirators. Mr Churchill objected to a scheme to attack the Balkans that Mr Roosevelt and Mr Stalin established in order to shortcircuit Hitler AND keep the Communists out of Eastern Europe. That scheme achieved only half of its objectives. However, Mr Churchill did accept Mr Stalin's demands for greater postwar influence in Asia - meaning Chiang Kaishek, who was excluded from the Yalta conference, found his Chinese government in jeopardy. The postwar US government demanded of Mr Chiang that Communists receive representation in the Chinese government. Mr Chiang rejected that and consequently General George C Marshall ordered all American aid withheld from China, meaning no fuel for Chinese planes and tanks, no ammunition for their guns, leaving the Soviets to supply the Communists in their overthrow of Mr Chiang's government; Mr Chiang subsequently restarted his more democratic government on Formosa - where Free China, also known as Taiwan, and formally Taiwan Republic Of China, thrive today as a great capitalist society. Another American link to Communist power can be found in the Institute of Pacific Relations, which during the 1930s and 1940s were found in a Senate Internal Security Subcommittee led by Senator Pat McCarran (D-NV) in 1951 and 1952 to have recruited and trained communists and pro-communists in sensitive diplomatic posts in Washington and Peking (now Beijing). They also lied about the status of Mr Chiang's government as well as the true nature of the "agrarian reformer" Communists in China. Stagflation - the same thing that struck the American economy under Mr Carter in the late 1970s - had afflicted the Chinese postwar economy - and the IPR were implicated in undermining the people's confidence in Mr Chiang's government. Mr White was assisted by another communist - Solomon Adler, the US Treasury's representative in Chungking (Chongqing), who implemented the plan to destroy the Chinese currency, a move not unlike that attempted by George Soros against the British pound sterling, Thai baht, and now the American dollar. And another famous name attached to American history for his fierce opposition to Communism made his name well-known at this time: Republican senator Joseph McCarthy, a young senator from Wisconsin, exposed one of the more influential members of the IPR - Owen Lattimore. Mr Lattimore was consciously involved with the Soviet conspiracy - as were the IPR - and the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee confirmed that reality in their report. But Mr McCarthy received vile dismissals of his charges as "red herrings" and "unfounded smears" - yet reports released by the KGB in 1989 - shortly before the Soviet collapse - confirmed Mr McCarthy's charges. They are now known as the Verona Papers. Mr Lattimore - also a bestselling author and book reviewer for the New York Times - possibly an early link to the current political bias of the editorial staff of that venerable newspaper today - did more than influence State Department policies by placing protegés in key diplomatic posts; he and other pro-communist and pro-Soviet authors flooded book channels with books that reflected their bised hegemony and basically destroyed more objective books that told the truth about the Far East. The pro-communist bias extended to influential magazines of the day like the Saturday Evening Post (no relation or connexion to this blog) and Colliers touting the Chinese Communists as "agrarian reformers". No doubt that that bias helped mould the basis for most American newspapers and magazines and news organisations favouring Communist, socialist, and other liberal leaders - as we have seen with the treatment of Mr Zelaya, Mr Chavez, Mr Morales, Mr Jintao, Mr Castro, and Mr Mugabe in the Establishment Media of today. We see the leftward leaning of organisations like the American Civil Liberties Union and ACORN basically being pampered by the Establishment Media - as seen by Ms Maddow's reporting about the "lies" and "smears" against ACORN on MSNBC. AS Americans were misled by the more than five dozen articles by the Saturday Evening Post and countless others toeing the communist line - some 600m Chinese ended up pawns of Communism, thanks to Mr Lattimore, Mr Hiss, Mr Adler, and a small cadre of other traitors and their naive liberal allies. Mr Lenin's second goal for world domination was then achieved. Dean Acheson, who was active in the efforts that brought the fall of Mr Chiang's government in 1949, boasted on 12 January 1950 that Korea was "outside our defence perimeter". Five months later the Soviet-allied North Koreans attacked South Korea, launching the Korean Conflict and attracting attention from Missouri's own president, Mr Truman, who sent a small amount of Far Eastern American forces to defend South Korea, then asked the United Nations for taking charge of the "police action". And General Douglas MacArthur showed the same brilliance of the Bataan Campaign early in World War II despite receiving very little in the matter of reinforcements. In October and November 1950 he battled back against Communist dominance throughout the Korean peninsula starting with an amphibious attack at Inchon, far north in the Korean peninsula - and subsequently drove the communists back to the Manchurian border. Then Communist Chinese "volunteers" swarmed into the battle, helped by the restrictions placed on Mr MacArthur, such as not being permitted to attack Red supply bases, lines of communication, or the Yalu River bridges. Some of the more than 33500 deaths and more than 100000 wounded soldiers sustained by American troops led Mr MacArthur to raise hell about his restrictions - and Mr Truman censored him on 5 December 1950. Four months later he would send a letter that led to his termination - to Congressman Joseph W Martin (R-MA) - which told the truth about Korea military actions being suppressed by Washington. Mr Truman was satisfied with "confinement" whilst Mr MacArthur believed in fighting for victory. A subsqeuent Congressional investigation would reveal that Mr MacArthur was purposefully prevented from bombing enemy invaders over the Yalu River, with Korean Commander General James VanFleet and Air Force Commander General George Stratemyer confirming that official policies prevented them from winning the war. Amazingly, the Congress of the late 1960s and early 1970s as well as some of the DoD personnel failed to learn from this example when handling the Viet Nam Conflict - and many of those who came of age personally and politically at that time are espousing the same viewpoint about not letting America win at war through their media outlets (major broadcast outlets like CNN and ABC News) and their legal approaches (calls for prosecuting those involved in keeping us safe from terrorist attacks) and their education systems. Some will argue that Mr Obama is enacting the same sort of policies in Afghanistan by delaying action on sending in additional necessary troops on the demands of his handpicked general, Mr McChrystal, and along with his Congressional allies denying resources by cutting the defence budget.
AND THEN AMERICA REACTED... In the subchapter, America Rebels, Brother Stormer indicated that Americans were learning about Yalta, Alger Hiss, Harry Dexter White, John Abt, Nathan Witt, and other Communists reaching high levels in government, including Lauchlin Currie becoming executive assistant to Mr Roosevelt. Americans also learnt about the Institute of Pacific Relations' role in the collapse of Mr Chiang's government in China. Angry Americans demanded heads on a platter - and wartime general Dwight Eisenhower, a Kansas native who grew up in Texas, campaigned on his successes at war with the campaign, Let's Clean Up The Mess In Washington. Hmmm...sounds fairly familiar, as Ronald Reagan took a similar approach in 1980, as did George W Bush in 2000. And we are seeing the replay of that in the grassroots by the TEA Party movements as well as in the Independent Media, considering the successes of talk radio and Fox News and independent websites in exposing the corrupt practises of government and government-sponsored organisations. Socialist policies are increasingly exposed in the Independent Media and sometimes even the Establishment Media will pick up on those policies, although in some cases they do so to support the organisations and their leftward approaches. A landslide put Mr Eisenhower in the White House - and the public approved $40bn budgets in the wake of the Korean Conflict, with more spent on foreign aid in the name of safety. But they carefully avoided the prospect of tax increases. The mess was not exactly cleaned up as Mr Eisenhower had promised and one sign of that came with the truce signed in Korea in 1953 - when 400 American soldiers were abandoned in Chinese communist prison camps. More than 100 requests in negotiations with the Red Chinese at Warsaw failed to free those soldiers for more than a decade. But the negotiations unexpectedly opened a new window for the Red Chinese to attack anywhere in Southeast Asia - and they chose Viet Nam. When they did, John Foster Dulles used the Korean truce as a model - and as the 38th parallel north of the Equator was used for the basis of the division of the Communist north and the free South - the 17th parallel was used as the division between the Communist-run Democratic Republic of Viet Nam (North Viet Nam) and the free Republic of Viet Nam (South Viet Nam). We lost more than 58000 soldiers and sailors and airmen in the Viet Nam Conflict which ended disastrously in 1975 with Americans abruptly pulling out on 30 April; this move emboldened Pol Pot to terrorise Cambodia, forcing most of his countrymen into concentration camps where a massive genocide erupted. Ironically, the Communist government of a now-united Viet Nam liberated the extremely Communist Cambodians on 7 January 1979 - and the subsequent government would come to reject Communist rule. Laos which originally became a part of communist rule would also throw away the shackles of that form of oppressive government. And Ohio Senator Robert A Taft - a Republican - would predict that scenario. In November 1953 Senator Joseph McCarthy (R-WI) slammed Mr Eisenhower with a charge that he had "failed to liquidate the 'foulest bankruptcy' of the Truman Administration" - and demanded that Britain be cut off foreign aid for trading with Red China because Red China were still holding those 400 American POWs from the Korean Conflict. The administration quickly rebuffed Mr McCarthy's charges, calling them "an attack on the very heart of US foreign policy". Yet the American government themselves were preparing for expanded trade with and foreign aid for Communist countries - clearly a double standard would have been created. All that was a part of Mr Eisenhower's plan to create "positive Republicans" who could invigourate the party with more "progressive" leaders. He dismissed the anticommunists in his party as "negative" - which could very well echo the sentiments of certain liberal Republicans of today's GOP leadership and representation in legislative bodies, like those of the northeastern United States, toward their more conservative fellow Republicans, especially those in the South, the Midwest, and many parts of the West. And Mr Eisenhower may have fuelled his own party's losses as a result in the 1954 Congressional elections as well as the rest of his tenure in the White House by such appeasement of Communists and abandonment of his conservative base. This was echoed in 2006 with the collapse of the People's Congress in the midterm elections, leaving Mr Bush to have to work with a Democrat Congress - and earlier, in 1994, with Mr Clinton's appeasement of Communists, socialists, and terrorists fuelling the collapse of forty years of Democrat dominance of the US House Of Representatives and the end of Democrat rule in the US Senate in that year's midterm elections. Brother Stormer also outlined the $3bn in aid given by Mr Eisenhower to Communist nations Poland and Yugoslavia, with Mr Tito, Yugoslavia's dictator, continuing to pledge allegiance to Moscow, yet still get American food, industrial machinery, jet fighter planes, and other military materiel. Mr Dulles claimed that cutting off Mr Tito would drive him further to the Soviet camp yet not many believed he had ever left that camp. Mr Tito also attacked the Hungarians as "bandits" for rebelling against Moscow in 1956 - yet Mr Eisenhower directed that aid continue flowing to Belgrade. He also pledged mutual cooperation with Mr Khrushchev in 1957 in Roumania. Even as Mr Eisenhower claimed he had brought Mr Tito away from Moscow, Mr Tito continued supporting Soviet foreign policy, to the point of rejecting American aid. American diplomats convinced Mr Tito to reconsider right before Christmas 1957, and aid continued once again after Mr Tito changed his mind. The money that his government received was used to create programmes to spread communism to Third World nations. Achmed Sukarno, the Indonesian strongman, received support from Mr Eisenhower during the 1950s even as he quashed anticommunist resistance through the mutual security programme Mr Eisenhower established - almost half a billion US dollars in a 10-year period starting in 1955. Mr Eisenhower even assisted a terrorist Communist who rose to power in the Congo in 1960 - Patrice Lumumba received $20m in aid from the State Department only to be deposed and killed by anticommunists in the Congolese government. In all Mr Eisenhower spent $7bn on Communist and so-called "neutralist" nations in his two terms as President. Brother Stormer also outlined Mr Eisenhower's "cultural exchanges" which were codeveloped with the Communists. Americans and Russians travelled to the others' countries and relay information about what they saw. According to Congressman Walter Judd (R-MN), anyone who wanted to go from America could go, but only the most thoroughly indoctrinated Russian would get to travel to the USA. The House Committee On Un-American Activities held special hearings in April 1960 about disinformation that tourists were bringing back from the USSR and Red China. The end result was that "model" prisons, special "show" cities, special hotels, special services, and refurbished churches in those countries were being pitched to the Americans to soften anticommunist views in the American people. And in Brother Stormer's subchapter, The Cleanup Is Blocked, he highlighted the appointment of Chief Justice Earl Warren - the Chief Justice who presided over Brown V Board Of Education Of Topeka KS in 1954 - who would supported the Communists' positions on 67 of 70 cases, voiding sedition laws in 42 states, prohibiting the government from terminating federal employees for having Communist connexions and contributing to Communist organisations, even to the point of denying anti-Communist Yugoslavian and family man Andrew Artukovic political asylum based upon political charges by the communist government of Yugoslavia - a parallel to the Clinton Anointistration's Supreme Court denying Elian Gonzalez asylum simply because of his age in order to appease Fidel Castro - from whose rule Elian's mother, Elisabeth Brontons, escaped and became shark food so the young boy might live in freedom in America. As the Supreme Court's decisions became more and more favourable for Communists, the New York Daily News "suggested impeachment of justices whose decisions consistently favoured the Communists". This is a parallel to talk radio hosts like Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Neal Boortz, and Glenn Beck demanding or discussion the potential for removing activist judges like those in the Ninth Circuit Court Of Appeals and other federal courts, and television presenter Bill O'Reilly occasionally presenting guests who might call for the impeachment of a rogue judge in state or federal courts. Brother Stormer's subchapter, Eisenhower's Role, indicts Mr Eisenhower himself and that begins with the exposure of a Personal And Confidential Letter that he sent to his cabinet to shield executive department employees from Congressional probes into actions and loyalty by having the department head not the person under investigation answer to the committee. This was the sort of thing that would have protected the likes of Alger Hiss and Lauchlin Currie and John Abt in 1948. Mr Eisenhower's "executive fifth amendment" left employees "cleared of wrongdoing" despite derogatory and disfavourable FBI reports. On 29 December 1954 he finally put all executive departmental employees' security files off limits to Congressional committees by Presidential Order. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Bentley - herself a former Communist - exposed the Soviet spy rings that contained more than 80 Americans including Mr White and Mr Currie and informed them of at least two others, with Whittaker Chambers - who exposed Mr Hiss - confirming with collabourating testimony. But Mr Eisenhower took no action! And this is even as the Communist-dominated labour union American Communications Association continued servicing cable facilities overseas as well as communications lines to and from key American defence sites - and Senate Internal Security Subcommittee Chairman William Jenner warned him about this. Mr Eisenhower's Army Secretary, Wilbur Brucker, confirmed that in a 1957 testimony with that subcommittee that that arrangement continued. Mr Jenner and Mr McCarthy were consistently at loggerheads with Mr Eisenhower because of those investigations. Mr McCarthy's subcommittee learnt of a Government Printing Office employee getting security clearance despite 40 FBI sources confirming his communist activities - drawing critics who would play logistical gymnastics with his information. He even probed the Voice Of America and the US Information Agency, finding America being promoted by communist literature and authors. He met his proverbial Waterloo when investigating Army Dental Corps Major Irving Peress, a known Communist who had attempted to set up a communist cell at Camp Kilmer in New Jersey during the Korean Conflict. This is not dissimilar to the sleeper cell that an American soldier of Asian descent and Islam convert was suspected of establishing in 2003. Mr McCarthy thought the promotions were a red flag, requesting of Army Secretary Robert Stevens to courtmartial Mr Peress yet explaining his respect for Mr Stevens. Mr Peress received an honourable discharge three days later, at the behest of Brigadier General Ralph Zwicker who was summoned by Mr McCarthy. Mr Zwicker was fairly evasive, not knowing of Mr Peress' investigation. Then Mr McCarthy presented a hypothetical question about a major who attended Communist leadership schools and became involved with Communism and refused to testify under oath before a committee about that. He then phrased it about a general that did the same thing and directed an honourable discharge of the same major. Mr Zwicker's response ignited Mr McCarthy's suggestion to remove him from command. The case became a book study by Lionel Lokos, Who Promotes Peress?, and the New York Times built up Mr Zwicker in a book review, creating lies about the testimony in that hearing and drawing suspicions of their biases. The New York Times had a fairly leftward bias back then - and have moved decidedly further left since! Media bias against Mr McCarthy ultimately poisoned the man's repute and subsequent Senate committees would show that Mr Zwicker had perjured himself several times - yet the DoJ would not prosecute, or else they would vindicate Mr McCarthy. Ironically, his nemesis, the Soviet government, would release the Verona Papers in 1989 shortly before they collapsed. He would be vilified in the media and his appearance and mannerisms would be panned as well. Unfortunately, Mr McCarthy was dead before 1957. His death drew celebrations from communists, liberals, and even Mr Eisenhower himself. But as Brother Stormer correctly indicated in his book, Mr McCarthy got everything spot on and the charges were not denied, but ignored for the sake of the firestorm created by his charges. This is because Mr McCarthy targeted certain unfit individuals for, at the least, "gross negligence and complete naiveté about the communist conspiracy". Communists coined a slogan, "I like what Mr McCarthy is doing but I can't stand his methods", that millions repeated. Such unfairness accented the fact that Mr McCarthy was destroyed by thosed who claimed to like what he did simply because he did so by "unacceptable" methods. Apparently he drew unprovable but logical conclusions based upon accumulated, unchallenged facts. Philip C Jessup was charged in 1950 with smearing Mr Chiang and pushing the myth of democratic Chinese communists. Turns out Mr Jessup was "an influential member of the Board Of Trustees of the...Institute of Pacific Relations", that same organisation exposed in 1952 as a communist organisation. His involvement with the IPR's policy making Research Advisory Council launched dissemination of anti-Chiang propaganda in 1944. He worked with Mr Lattimore and other Communists, as well as Frederick Vanderbilt Field, another Communist who was secretary of the IPR's American Council, which Mr Jessup headed in 1939 and 1940. Mr McCarthy exposed Mr Jessup as being involved with what turned out to be four communist front groups. Mr Jessup also testified as a character witness for Mr Hiss. He then denied Communist party membership in the Tydings Committee - organised to probe Mr MrCarthy's charges - and was cleared as provable evidence was summarily rejected in the committee's whitewash. Mr Jessup would become the United States representative on the International Court of Justice, or the World Court. The UN's General Assembly were lauded on 16 November 1960 by the New York Times. Brother Stormer clearly exposed a double standard in our society, showing how easily a murder suspect can be convicted, yet a known traitor can be insulated. He showed keenly the duplicity of the federal government even in those days regarding internal threats - a pattern that has continued almost unabated since. And in his subchapter, The Iron Curtain Cracks, Brother Stormer explained how concern about communism waned, then suddenly surged anew when Imre Nagy's Freedom Fighters sought help for their upstart free Hungarian government but neither the United States nor the United Nations could be bothered to help fight back against the Soviet Union who held a permanent security council seat and thus the constant ability to veto. And Mr Tito from Belgrade makes yet another appearance: He received a cablegram from the State Department on 2 November 1956 confirming the US Government's disfavourable attitude toward "governments unfriendly to the Soviet Union on the borders of the Soviet Union". Within 48 hours the Soviets had already reinvaded Hungary - with tacit approval from the United States. It was that same tacit approval that Bill Clinton appeased the Red Chinese in allowing them to continue their brutal atrocities against their own people expressing their political and religious beliefs. And that same tacit of approval by the United Nations in 1956 was repeated in 1992 when Saddam Hussein brutally repressed a 1992 uprising in Iraq that saw thousands killed and buried in mass graves. This was even as Soviets were rioting and Red Army officers were deserting and joining Mr Nagy's Freedom Fighters. Mongolians were brought in to end the uprising. In 1959 Mr Khrushchev admitted his own indecision regarding handling Hungary. He acknowledged that if the US had "shown force or granted diplomatic recognition the Kremlin would have abandoned Hungary". But abandoning Hungary condemned millions as well as their hopes and faith - and there was great concern that the end of American freedom started in Hungary in 1956. That hope was supposedly eliminated with a July 1959 invitation by Mr Eisenhower of Mr Khrushchev to America. The House Committee On Un-American Activities protested with hearings on the "Crimes Of Khrushchev" and Reader's Digest Editor Eugene Lyons testified that the decision endangered those who would resist Communist rule. He described a permanent civil war between the rulers and the ruled - which echoes something we are facing at present with a government trying to put most or even all of the economy under government control and more regulations over our lives. But the Committee On Un-American Activities released a seven-volume record of Mr Khrushchev's bloodthirsty history, showing the mass starvation and execution of six to eight million Ukrainians in the early 1930s, execution of thousands of Muscovites in 1936, another two-year reign of terror in the Ukraine in the late '30s that left another 400000 dead, and a third purge in Ukraine after World War II putting hundreds of thousands in slave camps. And still Mr Eisenhower had his grandchildren photographed on Mr Khrushchev's knee. At Gettysburg. Cardinal Richard Cushing, a Catholic prelate from Boston, condemned the appeasement patterns of the past 25 years by the United States toward the Soviet Union. By that point Fidel Castro was already in power in Cuba. He was aided in part by William Arthur Wieland - an American diplomat at the Caribbean Desk of the State Department - had lived under the alias, Arturo Montenegro, before World War II. Then he joined the foreign service's Latin American Department under a Soviet agent - Laurence Duggan. He served in Brazil and Colombia and was probed by William Pawley - the American ambassador to Brazil - for his leftist ideas and activities. He engaged in peculiar activities in 1948 in Bogota, where Fidel Castro led communist-inspired rioting at the Foreign Ministers Conference. Mr Pawley contacted Mr Eisenhower and the State Department years later to tell them about Mr Wieland but was summarily rebuffed. After being appointed into a key State Department post in 1957 he regularly disregarded and slammed FBI, State Department, and DoD sources about Mr Castro's political leanings as well as Moscow's involvement with his associates. Warnings about Mr Wieland were ignored and subsequently he continued acting as a fellow traveller, cutting off munitions to the anticommunist Cuban leader, Mr Batista, and plying Mr Castro with liberal amounts of munitions. He also flushed out anti-Castro diplomats, including the ambassador, Arthur Gardner. His replacement, Earl T Smith, got briefed by a New York Times reporter loyal to Mr Castro - Herbert Matthews, who libellously compared Fidel Castro to Abraham Lincoln in a number of articles. Mr Matthews must obviously have been ignorant or very stupid. He might as well as compare Adolf Hitler to George Washington. Mr Lincoln stood for freedom whilst Mr Castro clearly stands AGAINST freedom. And it wasn't the first time he had lauded Communists. He praised them similarly as he covered the Spanish Civil War in 1936. And CBS Television also participated in the media whitewash of Mr Castro, involving Edward R Murrow and Ed Sullivan. And there was a vice president who tried and failed to convince Mr Eisenhower of Mr Castro's patently communist ways even as the Cuban dictator appeared before the American Society of Newspaper Editors. That vice president would later have his turn in the White House and would make efforts to reform and then end the Viet Nam Conflict. He would also resign from office in the wake of a terrible scandal he had no actual role in but has been blamed for by leftists. His name was Richard Nixon. In this extensive blog you can see how we started becoming naive to the threat of totalitarianism - and how it has been allowed to fester slowly over the years, even influencing how government policy is made at the present. As you can see, our government have been trying to pull the wool over our eyes - and deceive us about the real threats they pose with regard to their big government schemes, including today's threats to healthcare, business, religious freedom, and even the freedom of speech. You see not only the frameworks of how things have exploded in more recent times with so many difference controversies but also how the Establishment Media started deceiving the masses. The CNNs and New York Timeses and San Francisco Chronicles and Newsweeks of today clearly have their biased roots in the already-communised dealings of Owen Lattimore.

NEWSPEAK ON DISPLAY: DO THE MEDIA'S CONGRESS THINK THEY CAN FOOL US? Public option. Competitive option. Consumer option. There are so many names now for the proposed government healthcare scheme which Ms Pelosi and Mr Reid are hellbent upon imposing that they draw suspicion even from their own constituents, even from longtime Democrat voters, most notably old age pensioners who stand to lose the most as certain types of Medicare and Medicaid are defunded. And they are not alone: Consider the condemnation of the Rhode Island Democrat Patrick Kennedy, who serves in the US House, by Brother Thomas Tobin, a Catholic bishop who has blasted the government option over the issue of abortion funding. The Roman Catholic Church strongly support an unborn baby's right to live. Of course the abortion funding issue is but a small part of the explosive debate over a prospective government healthcare takeover. Also consider the proposed cuts to Medicare that The Tax Foundation highlighted in an extensive report. And that is on top of Mr Obama targeting the antitrust exemption of insurance companies. Of course we cannot forget that Independent Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut was one of several Senators who withdrew support for the public option. Both Democrat AND Republican senators have vowed opposition, including Olympia Snowe (R-ME) and Blanche Lincoln (D-AR). But what is with Ms Pelosi and Ms Wasserman Schultz trying to rebrand the government option? Do they think we can be easily fooled? There are a number of ways we can be fooled with creative wording - but if wise people learn how to read between the lines they can see through the deception on practically any issue. And yet fringe leftist radicals who are hellbent on forcing Americans into a government healthcare scheme that they do not want and do not need continue pressing hot and heavy, even to the point of showing outright selfishness and ageist disrespect for our old age pensioners. Clearly we have seen hateful attitudes come to the surface, even to the point of a Los Angeles graffito defacing the American flag in a healthcare video contest. And we can bet the world that even after the vote comes - no matter what the final result - we will continue to be on edge. But one thing is for certain: the healthcare bill that has been proposed is a horrible idea especially as planned. There is all the more urgency for defeating this monstrosity of a bill that covers more than healthcare - it also exposes government policy under radicalised Democrat leadership - in ways their forbears would never have supported. LETHAL MOSQUE RAID IN MICHIGAN EXPOSES FURTHER RADICALISM IN MUSLIM MOVEMENTS On the heels of a lethal Wednesday (28 October) raid on a Michigan mosque, the FBI discovered a myriad of targets, from FBI agents probing other militants to the Super Bowl in Detroit at Ford Field. Also discovered was the involvement of a radical whose longtime involvement in radical movements leading this particular sleeper cell that was about to erupt. Folks, we have seen a growing undercurrent of radicalism in this very small community, and unfortunately the actions of a few have sullied the reputation of the whole lot. And the sad reality is as more and more of the fringe radicals are exposed - more and more of the Muslim community in the United States scream in self-righteous indignation. And with good reason too: Most of those Muslims are not necessarily looking to follow the Quran to the letter, though many fathers do worry about their children, especially their daughters, becoming too Western. Still, the average Ahmad and Abdullah and Hakim want the same things that the average Tom, Dick, and Hank all want: to achieve more than their parents did, to establish a good solid family structure within which to raise children properly, and to make sure the bills are paid and their children have clothes and shoes. And it is the average Ahmad and Abdullah and Hakim who are paying the price for the actions of a few. This is where the common Muslim needs to root out the more radical folks in their neighbourhoods and their mosques, to report those who would propose engaging in vicious plots against the people. Some media outlets are indeed omitting "Muslim" from the descriptions of the criminal and terror attacks in plots like these - and maybe with good reason. Do you think the average Muslim wants to be identified with such dangerous activity - irrespective of the violent nature of the Quranic Scriptures? I know they do not. And maybe there is a way we can help them. We can reach out to them - but in the correct fashion. This does not mean we have to change our religion - or our lifestyle - we just have to communicate with them, inform them of the potential hazards in our community but also encourage them to share feedback about those who might pose danger to us. DOES CHARLES MANSON UNDERSTAND WHAT OUR CONGRESS HAVE FORGOTTEN? "Every man must take responsibility for his acts. We each live within our own circles."
The irony of those words of Charles Manson is that he still lives in denial about how the system can detain him for life because of his heinous crimes. However, he makes an interesting point - and this could be carried over to the current Congress. Each Congressional representative must take responsibility for their acts as they live in the circles of the people that elected them though they work in the nation's capital. However, most politicians are defying the will of the people and refusing to assume responsibility, blaming independent media outlets, bloggers, and ordinary citizens for the failures of their own actions. We see this on issue after issue, from healthcare to taxes to freedom of speech to education to deficit spending. Those politicians seek their own personal glory and gain at the expense of we the taxpayers. But when someone dares to challenge the neoliberal hegemony of the Media's Congress, they are invariably branded with pejoratives implying bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, and so forth. The neoliberal allies of the Establishment Media, organisations like the ACLU and ACORN, and academia invariably promote various leftist views taking radical stances in the names of women (feminazism), homosexuals (homonazism), the environment (environazism), Muslims (Islamonazism), Hispanics like myself (Hispanonazism), and Africans (Afronazism). And so Congress continue behaving recklessly, especially with taxpayer dollars (stimulus spending, Cash For Clunkers, and welfare for labour unions (SEIU, AFL-CIO, NEA, AFT), government-run corporations (Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae), and organisations friendly to the Media's Government (ACORN, ACLU, Planned Parenthood)). But with my own experiences with watching Lockup Raw on MSNBC I find that prison inmates have higher regard for basic Constitutional Amendments like the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments than do the Media's Congress. Would it be better to trust random names in the phone book to run our country? Seeing how California have more than 600 death row inmates I would just as soon replace every Congressional representative with a California DEATH ROW inmate and use the rest to replace members of Mr Obama's administration - and trust them better to run this country than the current crop of misfits in Washington! As bizarre or even outrageous as that sounds, why not? Maybe they won't tax and spend so damn much of our money and even give us better policies to live with! I find it unfortunate to note that I live in a country where I trust my government less than I trust a convicted criminal serving life sentences without parole or even awaiting execution but unfortunately that is the case with American government today. It is a sad state of affairs to admit that if Mr Obama or Mr Biden or Mrs Clinton were running against Charles Manson that I would still not vote for Mr Obama, Mr Biden, OR Mrs Clinton - yet considering the state of affairs in this country it bothers me greatly when we trust the lawmakers less than we trust the worst lawbreakers of society. Would a convict be a better representative of the populace in government? Seeing how creative many inmates are, not only with creating contraband (weapons, alcoholic beverages), but also with artwork, tools, model buildings, furniture, and so forth, maybe they could bear to learn how to handle government policies, maybe even create simpler laws that the people could easily understand. It couldn't hurt to see simpler, more streamlined policies in our government - and I have more faith that a prison inmate could do a better job of that than a typical Washington bureaucrat! Maybe you wouldn't trust a prison inmate to run our country's affairs better than a typical Washington bureaucrat - I myself would consider pulling names out of my music collection and putting them in office instead of those politicos...maybe you would consider some favourite actors or columnists yourself. But we can all imagine the people we would replace our Congress with. But if we are at the point that we are exploring ways to clear out all of our Congressional representatives then clearly we have a major problem - and it is up to us to learn about the candidates and the issues and to recruit viable candidates who stand firmly in favour of lower taxes, less government intrusion, and the understanding that government cannot be used as a hammock for the populace. Maybe we don't need to release dangerous criminals into the general public but we certainly need to do something about the problem child that the Media's Congress are. Time to corral that out of control spoiled brat - by sending home the recalcitrant politicians, most certainly a good share of the Democrats, but also some of the Republicans, basically anyone who contributes to the continuing problem.

HOW TO KEEP A CAR WITH A LEAKY HEATER CORE RUNNING - FOR MONTHS I admit that the way I handled a leak in the coolant system of my 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was far from the most kosher. That said, I had to handle it this way because the money just was not there to fix the problem. And believe it or not it went that way for four months. Until yesterday when I finally put the car in the shop. The problem started early in June when I noticed a Low Coolant light coming on and I noticed that my radiator reserve tank had drained empty. More than likely there was a leak - and then I tried a bottle of Bar's Leaks to seal the leak. Unfortunately the formula I chose was not suited to aluminium radiators and heater cores - and so it kept leaking. I would have to keep a squeegee on hand and rapidly remove condensation from the inside of the windscreen so I could see through the windscreen. Then I found myself keeping extra coolant, premixed coolant, and even water on hand. I poured fluids into the car one day after work at a temporary assignment about 25mi away from home, and for some reason even wound up pouring about 100-125 milílitros (about 3-4oz) of what turned out to be automatic transmission fluid, meaning that low coolant levels would give off a distinctly sweet, smoky odour - that is definitely NOT Maulls Barbecue Sauce, that's for sure! I even added another type of sealant, and initially it did the job for a couple of weeks. But then I had a renewed problem crop up as I came back from a regular inventory assignment in Osage Beach and as I got back into Springfield it started anew, a new leak had sprung, and this time the second tube of powdered sealant DID NOT resolve the problem. It kept leaking no matter what, and I kept adding more fluids regularly. It wasn't a terrible problem, just something that required attention to the coolant levels, roughly every 50-150mi or so. And so it went until earlier this month, when I was heading in to work in the Kansas City metro area and I noticed that the coolant tube was pinched. I cut off about 1 1/2in of rubber tubing and then reattached the clamp at a layby next to a bridge, then moved back down the road. It appeared to take care of the fluid supply but then started leaking more rapidly. The problem really accelerated as I headed home from Leavenworth, finally overheating enough to require me to pull over about 50mi from home. I had to repeat that about a dozen times in that distance, sometimes not moving more than a mile or so before having to pull over. And the car sat until I was finally able to get it to the shop. I had made arrangements to take it to Firestone but a cousin-in-law set me up with a lower price repair at an in-law's shop, but I was unable to get ahold of either of them. So I had to make new arrangements and take it in to the shop and though I paid more than $500 I consider the money well-spent for a quality job that was finished in a timely fashion. So what can YOU do if your coolant system springs a leak on you? Chances are it will not be a major leak. Here is a look at what to do, especially if your finances won't allow extensive expenditures even for necessary repairs.
* CHECK YOUR COOLANT LEVEL. Finding out what you need is as simple as opening your bonnet. Somewhere under your dash you will find a lever that will release the latch on your bonnet. You can then push the lever to the side on your latch and raise your bonnet, using the support rod if necessary. Typically your coolant tank will be off to the side of your engine compartment.
* USE PROPER MIXTURES, IF POSSIBLE. In cold weather conditions, the appropriate amount of coolant is a REQUIREMENT, and typically that will be 50 percent. In some cases you may be able to use as much as 70 percent coolant (also known as antifreeze). A 50:50 mixture will protect most cars down to -40 degrees and will also protect most cars in summer up to 260 degrees (Fahrenheit). A 70:30 mixture will protect cars down below -60 degrees (F) and up to about 285 degrees (F). If you have trouble figuring out how much those mixtures are, take a one-litro (or one-quart) vessel and fill it with coolant, put a funnel in the coolant overflow tank (which will usually be plastic), then pour the vessel into the tank. Then repeat that but with distilled water. You have just added two quarts of a 50:50 mixture. Most reserve tanks will hold about two to three quarts of coolant and some may hold even more. If you add another quart of coolant, then you have a 2:1 mixture - very close to a 70 percent mixture. If you do not wish to mess with measuring those substances, you can purchase premixed coolant products with a 50:50 mixture satisfactory for most vehicles. If you are in a warm weather situation, like in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, tropical areas, central and southern Florida, central and southern Arizona, and western, central, and southern Texas, as well as areas of California and the Gulf Coast, and during summer conditions in most areas of the United States and Europe and many areas of Canada, you may be able to get by with adding distilled water, which is preferred. Clean rain water is also acceptable. Tap water is tolerable as well.
* WHEN DRIVING WITH A PERSISTENT LEAK, PAY ATTENTION TO THE WATER LEVELS. This means that every day you need to check your reserve tank water levels and add coolant (or water if weather permits) accordingly. Irrespective of the size of your coolant tank and your manufacturer's recommendations you should fill that tank as full as possible - to the very top if need be. And every time you buy petrol or diesel you need to check your coolant levels. If driving for long distances (30mi or more) you should check the coolant regularly, at least every 50mi, and add fluid accordingly.
* AVOID HEAVY TRAFFIC AND IDLING SITUATIONS IF POSSIBLE. If you need to wait more than one minute in an idling position - as with an extended red light at a robot, a drive through lane at a fast food restaurant, or a traffic jam - you need to turn off your engine as that is a good opportunity for your car to overheat. You can restart and get going again in a matter of seconds. Also use your radio to keep up to date with traffic conditions. Good stations for traffic conditions include KCMO-AM (710kc) in Kansas City, KMOX-AM (1120kc) in St Louis, KFWB-AM (980kc) in Los Angeles, and WINS-AM (1010kc) in New York. Also, when travelling major corridors, such as freeways, consider alternate routes, that may happen to involve city streets instead. I would particularly suggest this in Kansas City, where traffic problems are currently compounded by construction on the I-29/I-35/US71 corridor north of downtown, St Louis, where the I-70 is compressed into so few lanes especially at the junction with the I-64 and the I-55 and the Poplar Bridge into Illinois, and even Los Angeles. The objective is to remain in motion and at as reasonably high a speed as possible - your engine will remain much cooler travelling 60mi/h than it will travelling 30mi/h.
* TRY NOT TO OVEREXERT YOUR ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION. This means that keeping the oil and transmission fluid maintained is another REQUIREMENT. Be sure to change your oil every three months and if possible please use a good synthetic oil: Synthetic oils will withstand typical driving conditions far better. Whilst the store brand oil from Walmart WILL be sufficient, you should try a good name brand like Mobil 1 or Castrol. Make sure to use a higher quality oil filter - like a Fram ExtraGard(TM) or ToughGard(TM) series filter - those will have filter numbers that start with an XG or a TG respectively. If you must use an oil additive, consider something of proven quality, like something from Lucas Oil or DuraLube. Your automatic transmission ALSO uses coolant in order to avoid overheating, so consider changing your transmission fluid if need be. At the very least, check your transmission fluid and add where needed. Use the colour as a guidepost. If it's garnet (dark red) coloured, you should still be OK. If it turns brown, then you NEED TO CHANGE the fluid AND filter in your transmission AT ONCE.
* BUT IF YOUR CAR STARTS OVERHEATING ANYWAY - AND IT WILL AT SOME POINT - YOUR TEMPERATURE GAUGE WILL TELL YOU SO. Use your temperature gauge as a guideline. Generally it should not go beyond the halfway mark under normal driving conditions. But if it does, turn on your heater. Get used to using that heater even in hot weather: The temperature in your engine will usually drop drastically and remain low as long as you keep that heater on. Open the front windows if you have to - that hot air will blow right out of the cabin and into the atmosphere. And if your car finally fails to respond to the heater you will need to redouble your efforts. It may just overheat till you see the HOT light turn on. That's the time where you pull to the side of the road and then wait for the vehicle to cool for a few minutes. Start back up and then get as far as you can. Try not to drive more than one mile with the HOT light on if possible. In many situations you will be able to pull to the side of the road. Stay with your vehicle especially in high crime areas as well as high speed areas. The impact of a person being struck at 70mi/h is often debilitating or even deadly! Using common sense in this complex situation will help you as well, but following these tips will ALSO help you keep your car going. You may even be able to get your car home without the use of a tow truck - and you may even be able to drive your car to your mechanic's garage to boot! My car did not overheat even on that short drive though the temperature rose significantly - but the problem was fixed and I drove home in the late afternoon. Maybe if you have to deal with this problem you can apply these tips so you too can keep your car on the road and avoid any more damage than absolutely necessary. IN DEFENCE OF MAO: MS DUNN DESTROYS HER OWN CREDIBILITY BY DEFENDING GOVERNMENT CONTROL White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has openly exhibited irrational partisan hatred by belittling the fair, balanced, and objective nature of Fox News' methodology. And that isn't even the biggest issue she has brought upon herself as a result of her public speeches. Ms Dunn has not only shown positive regard for the brutal Red Chinese dictator Mao Tsetung but also compared him to Mother Teresa. Excuse me!? MAO TSETUNG - A BLOODTHIRSTY COMMUNIST DICTATOR WHO ORDERED THE MURDERS OF SOME 70 MILLION OF HIS OWN PEOPLE - ON THE SAME LEVEL AS MOTHER TERESA - A HUMANITARIAN OF A NUN WHO SAVED MORE THAN ONE MILLION PEOPLE IN KOLKATA!? How in the HELL does THAT make ANY sense?! For Ms Dunn to make that OUTRAGEOUS comparison is appalling - THIS from a person who has expressed greater respect for mass murder mastermind Charles Manson than for most politicians! The fact that Ms Dunn would make such a horrid comparison shows volumes not only about her own ideology but also complete ignorance. What's next --- comparing Adolf Hitler to the Rev Martin Luther King Jr?! HOW STUPID do you HAVE TO BE to make such a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE comparison? Killing 70m people in an ideology-driven pogrom DOES NOT make someone a great hero - and in the case of Mr Mao it makes him a DANGEROUS VILLAIN! Does THAT sound like something Mother Teresa would do? Given her track record for caring for the most indigent children of the streets of Kolkata, India, it most certainly does NOT! Ms Dunn should be most ASHAMED of herself for her terrible comparison. It certainly will not help her reputation - if anything it will make her an even GREATER pariah, not only from conservatives, but also a large number of liberals with genuine regard for Mother Teresa! Clearly this is another display of a loudmouthed liberal who has bitten off more than she can chew - and she will leave America with a sullied reputation, not to mention a further stain on the reputation of her employer - Mr Obama himself. WHITE HOUSE TARGET FOX NEWS FOR TELLING THE TRUTH What would motivate such irrational partisan hatred from the White House that Fox News would find themselves bearing the brunt of their wrath? Certainly not the recent termination of left-of-centre contributor Marc Lamont Hill - though that might have added fuel to the fire that the White House are trying to start against the successful independent media broadcast outlet. And as with a number of other missteps taken by Mr Obama's staff - like the failure to properly address the Afghanistan war effort - the White House staff by taking on the most successful news network have clearly bitten off more than they can chew. And the most telling sign of that is the irrational partisan rabidity of Rahm Emmanuel who has been known to use vulgarities in describing his ideological opponents - though US House Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL), already infamous for his bombastic lie about how Republicans DO NOT! "want you to die quickly" if people get sick, has now ranted about how the Republican party and Fox News ARE NOT! "the enemies of America". Considering how sensitive Mr Obama's staff are about the scandals surrounding their dear leader's sacred cows - his tsars, his organisational allies, his policies - all of which have been reported regularly by Fox News even when Establishment Media outlets like CNN and MSNBC have ignored the stories or even attacked those reporting those particular scandals - it is clear to see that their emotions and their ideology have formed a rather volatile blend that are ruining their own personal reputes in the eyes of the public. Even a strong media ally in the form of the New York Times have warned that the White House are inviting trouble! And as it turned out they did invite trouble, as several Establishment Media outlets told the White House's executive salaries tsar, Mr Feinberg, not to invite them into the media pool at White House briefings if Fox News were not included. That apparently has sent the loud and clear, knowing full well that attempting another enemies' list in the White House would invite a new round of trouble - remember what happened to Mr Nixon in the 1970s after he did the same thing. No matter what opinion Mr Obama's staff have of specific news organisations they are having to learn the hard way that irrational partisanism will hamper their credibility. "I SWASTIKA OBAMA"!? WHAT THE HELL...?! An outrageous irrational partisan may have been behind the vandalism of a Massachusetts golf course directed at Mr Obama and involving the use of an offensive symbol. Now granted, I myself have my OWN criticisms of Mr Obama. That said, I am NOT motivated to commit criminal acts to showcase my distastes for his policies. And definitely I am NOT tempted to put together slogans that just don't make sense. "I SWASTIKA OBAMA"!? That's something that makes me say, Eh? What is that? I don't understand it... And that person expects me to understand what the hell he means? There is no question that so many people think Mr Obama is leading us down a slippery slope toward socialism, nationalised or otherwise. And indeed Adolf Hitler had socialist tendencies - what he stole from the prosperous Jewish businessmen he gave to "Aryan" Germans, not to mention he paid huge sums of money to women who had more babies "for the Fatherland". But to scar someone else's property like that is completely out of line. If you have that much of a problem with Mr Obama, put it on your car or in your own front yard not someone else's investment. Sell tee shirts that feature that slogan. Make bumper stickers like that. Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper. ANYTHING BUT THIS! ZERO TOLERANCE POLICIES TRIP UP SCOUTS IN SCHOOLS First there was the Delaware primary school student who brought his Cub Scout tool to school - and earned a rather hamfisted penalty for violating the school district's strict zero tolerance policy. Then there was the New York State Eagle Scout who faced his own harsh penalty simply for keeping a tiny knife inside a survival kit in the boot of his car parked at his secondary school. And now those two brave young scouts - separated by hundreds of miles and several years in age - have demonstrated exactly what is wrong with public schools' "zero tolerance" policies. They tend to become so obsessive with punishing for the slightest indiscretion that they become ludicrous at best and outrageous at worst. Surely there is no real need for students to carry weapons to school. But that two-inch knife is an essential tool when needed to cut small saplings and branches to make a campfire or to cut away cords, belts, and sashes in an emergency. And not every student carries such tools including folding knives and even plastic knives for the purpose of hurting someone. Some, like the two aforementioned scouts, show just how useful those tools can be. We're not exactly talking about giving an inmate a spoon he can sharpen into a shank. But then again there are more ridiculous examples of overbearing "zero tolerance" policies that have put innocent children in serious trouble for doing what young children do, which is play, with their fingers and thumbs and occasionally with their food. Children have gotten into trouble for playing games that have traditionally been played by children, like cops and robbers...all in the name of "zero tolerance". Evidently the safer schools initiative needs to be reworked in more ways than one. "Zero tolerance" needs to be replaced with more reasonable, common sense-based methods and policies. INTERSTATE 64 IN WESTERN ST LOUIS OPEN BY THANKSGIVING? The pavement is reportedly remarkably smooth on a rebuilt stretch of Interstate 64 in western St Louis - city and county alike - where signs are being hanged and paint is being striped - and there is now talk of reopening the highway as early as Thanksgiving. When the project first began in 2007 the highway was in declining condition but with the steady work over the past couple of years --- which I have personally witnessed --- the I-64 has improved in appearance and in capacity to handle increasing traffic loads. Currently the freeway is closed from Kingshighway in St Louis near Forest Park to Interstate 170 in nearby Clayton. However, that could change very shortly. The projects have consistently been completed ahead of schedule, like the Hanley Road overcrossing which opened a month ahead of schedule. If this highway is reopened this early, it will have a positive impact on traffic citywide as well as throughout the metropolitan area and in ways that will be felt beyond the bitumen: Businesses will feel a more positive impact especially those along the corridor as more people will find it easier to get round the city. In addition, the other two east/west interstate routes in the city - Interstate 70 to the north and Interstate 44 to the south - will also experience great relief that will carry over to rush hour. This will facilitate greater traffic capacities that typically arise during the holiday shopping season between Thanksgiving and Christmas. That means that St Louis area shoppers will encounter a bit less difficulty negotiating the streets and particularly the freeways of St Louis with the early completion of this important artery.

CHRIS MATTHEWS SHOWS HIS BACKSIDE - AGAIN!By now we have become terribly familiar with the patent irrational partisanism of MSNBC presenter Chris Matthews, host of the programme, Hardball. Now he has gone dangerously out of control with his latest remark about talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh. Would someone please tell me what the hell could possibly justify THAT kind of remark? Now let us suppose that Rush Limbaugh called for shoving a 12gauge shotgun inside Mr Matthews and pulling the trigger. Or maybe Sean Hannity called for stuffing a loaded .44 Magnum down Keith Olbermann's throat and firing all six rounds. Or maybe Michael Savage called for jamming a loaded .30-06 inside Rachel Maddow and pulling the trigger until ammo flew out her skull. Come on. You know damn well that would NEVER freaking fly, OK? Radio stations would drop their shows left and right, their syndicators would drop their show altogether, and good luck to those folks finding work at Maccas or Jack In The Box or Sonic. And then the FCC would be fining their asses like crazy! But because Chris Matthews threatened a conservative on his outrageous programme, Hardball, he is permitted to get away with it? Only a damn fool would think he belongs at the anchor desk. Unfortunately General Electric have to write his pay cheques, but boycotting GE would be very difficult. Sean Hannity himself has condemned the idea of a boycott; he sees no useful purpose for that sort of thing. Maybe we should just do like the Amish do when someone does something disreputable in their community - and simply shun Mr Matthews. Let him know he is not welcome on our screens. Let him know he should hang his head in shame and leave the airwaves. If I were an executive at MSNBC I would seriously be considering terminating Mr Matthews. We can tolerate his bastardisation of the journalism profession but we must draw the line at this kind of infantile horse manure. And for God's sake let's inform the FCC about that remark and make GE and Mr Matthews pay. And as for Mr Matthews: Yaphet Kotto is a fine character actor who deserves better than a crude comparison as part of a death threat. Leave Mr Kotto the hell out of it. HOW THE LIBERAL PRESS TRIED TO DESTROY A POTENTIAL NFL OWNER - THE SAME WAY THEY DESTROYED ANOTHER FOOTBALL LEAGUE Weeks ago the controversial activist Al Sharpton finally won my respect for the first time in a long time when he appeared as a celebrity general manager on WWE Monday Night RAW. And though the audience booed and jeered him even as he came out to James Brown over the public address system he gave us a very impressive effort - one that made Bill O'Reilly wonder if he should be considered a patriot. Now that patriot is a pinhead once again: Mr Sharpton has lost that respect that he gained - partly because he interfered with Rush Limbaugh's efforts in buying the St Louis Rams. Of course, Mr Limbaugh was to be a partner - but then the loudmouth Mr Sharpton came out, defaming his character in ways that Tawana Brawley never imagined. He began defaming his character - but he was not alone. He had help from Media Matters and other left-of-centre loudmouths trashing Mr Limbaugh's sterling character, motivating the leader of the consortium to demand that he remove himself from the committee. Mr Limbaugh refused and stood firm, telling him over his radio show to exclude him himself. Also criticising Mr Limbaugh's prospective role was the NFL Players Association president, DeMaurice Smith, who went on a typical left-of-centre tirade about Mr Limbaugh's statements on the radio. His career as an attorney certainly prepared him well for his position but did not give him enough common sense to actually take time to listen to the man's show let alone get to know him - as NFL veteran Ken Hutcherson, now a minister in Seattle, has done. "Hutch" spoke with Mr Limbaugh on his radio show then spoke with Sean Hannity on his Fox News programme, Hannity, to tell America how much of a problem he had with the backbiting and the parochialism. And Mr Hutcherson was not alone: A number of commentators have stepped to his defence and have also condemned the attitudes of the NFL owners who have such a provincial view, being able to disqualify anyone from owning an NFL team for any reason or even no reason. I recall an upstart football league several years ago that got a very strong initial response in the ratings, but then in came the liberal media, starting with Time Warner-owned Sports Illustrated (part of the same company as CNN), which took most of the money out of the game but took out all of the crap associated with the NFL. That league was reviled over and over again, with liberal press outlets feeding tired, shopworn propaganda about this upstart football league, driving the ratings lower and lower whilst demeaning the genuine efforts of players who simply happened to have so much fun with the game they even put unusual nicknames on their jerseys, like Deathblow (sorry, I forgot his real name, Los Angeles Xtreme), The Truth (Rashan Shehee, who had survived cancer before being denied a second chance at the NFL, Los Angeles Xtreme), Baby Boy (Haven Fields, who was the youngest player of the New York-New Jersey Hitmen), and He Hate Me (Rod Smart, who later went on to play for the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Outlaws) --- clearly a forerunner to "Ochocinco" (born Chad Johnson, who changed his surname to reflect his uniform number). And though the idea of splitting $1m between 44 players doesn't appear too palatable, the liberal media-killed Xtreme Football League - which folded three months after the first games were played - held their championship game at the Los Angeles Coliseum in April of 2001, not to mention they put the emphasis where it belongs, back on the game, back on having fun playing football, not on provincial attitudes and paternalistic regulations. Maybe it is time to get Vince McMahon to bring back the XFL - and add a few more teams - in Portland, Austin, Minnesota, and Ohio. What the liberal media did to the XFL in 2001 was a dry run for what they are attempting to do to Republicans and conservatives today - and too many people failed to see the warning signs. Mr Sharpton incidentally has further fuelled the furore with his outrageous statements, and the George Soros-minded folks of the fringe left have exacerbated the problem especially as they rise through the ranks of the media. And to think that the theft of the Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008 and now the ongoing effort to commit the theft of freedom and this country from we the people started with the condemnation of an alternative to the NFL that disallowed the fair catch in favour of a five-yard halo to allow for a runback, eliminated the point after kick and required people to run or pass the extra point in, even to the point of establishing an open ball policy if the punt was kicked and it didn't land in someone's hands - meaning a punter could reclaim the ball for his own team far downfield. And so it is that the media have lined up behind Mr Sharpton to condemn people with irrational partisan hatred just to keep someone who has worked hard most of his life from joining a prestigious organisation and owning one of the most prized properties in sport - a truly abysmal conclusion to this matter indeed. If you don't believe that this situation is a part of the media's plan to destroy this country, if you don't believe that this matter is not a reflection of political as well as personal biases, now is your wakeup call. This means you need to think about this, what if YOU were in the same position as Mr Limbaugh, what if YOU were reviled for your beliefs, what if YOU were driven out of a team ownership consortium over some loudmouth's irrational partisan hatred? Maybe Mr McMahon needs to call Mr Limbaugh and see about bringing back the XFL. Who knows, Mr Limbaugh could even be part owner of such a league - and the people would return to the sidelines, this time in even greater numbers. And we would see much better success and even longevity for a revived XFL. Mr McMahon would be getting primary credit for revitalising football. And Mr Sharpton would STILL be a foolish boor. EDUCATION TSAR UNDER FIRE FOR HIS HANDLING OF STUDENT'S RELATIONSHIP WITH OLDER MAN A teenaged homosexual student confided in an instructor that he was sexually involved with an older man - and the instructor coolly told him to make sure he was using prophylactics. How would you handle this matter? Well if you are the Media's President, Mr Obama, you appoint him as your Safe Schools tsar. And now Kevin Jennings is coming under fire for that event. Admittedly Mr Jennings deserves some credit for his effort to end bullying in Massachusetts public schools. However, he was prone to giving too much favour to homosexuals - which would not necessarily be a problem within itself but that his approach was wrong; specifically he was patronising the homosexual whilst teaching his Marxist-influenced ideology in the name of the homosexual to public school students at taxpayer expense. But the real problem is his handling of his counselling a 15-year-old male student who was in a sexual relationship with an older man. Instead of reporting that to the authorities as directed by Massachusetts law he advised the student to use prophylactics, ostensibly to prevent the transmission of diseases like syphillis, gonorrhoea, and Aids. And as a result he is getting the ire that he clearly deserves. Because if someone is going to make policies that will affect our children for the rest of their lives as they will have a lasting effect on their consciences we need someone who will take a more child-friendly position. Last I checked, the idea that children being involved in sexual relationships with adults was universally condemned by society, by people of every economic level, ideology, and ethnicity, from the poorest street bum to the wealthiest philantropist businessman, from the most leftward feminist to the most rightward fundamental Christian, and everyone in between. Whether Mr Jennings should stay or go is entirely up to Mr Jennings - and maybe Mr Obama as well. We may not be able to end his tenure but we can certainly make it well known our collective distaste for his attitude toward appeasing paedophiles. Whatever the case is his credibility has evapourated and anything he says here and now as well as hereafter should be regarded with a grain of salt the size of a Terex Titan - a giant dump truck built in the late 1970s by GM Canada. ACORN GOING ON TRIAL IN VEGAS As a result of a blockbuster investigation by authorities the controversial community activist organisation ACORN have now drawn criminal indictments in Las Vegas. And this is only the latest in a series of scandals afflicting the organisation, already beset by allegations of fostering child prostitution and child trafficking - which if a federal prosecutor had the fortitude could readily craft a serious RICO Act indictment against the organisation, under specific sections of that particular law. More and more analysts and commentators familiar with the group have basically written off ACORN and with their repute declining they are clearly not guaranteed a very bright future. The group have lost alliances with government bodies at all levels and there have even been additional investigations in other states, including Louisiana where they are headquartered inside an old funeral parlour in Nawlins. I know that this sounds just like all the other stories about the scandals involving ACORN. As old as it might appear to us we need to look at it with a fresh perspective - that maybe the time for federal prosecutors to get involved is now. They need to monitor the proceedings in Nevada and make determinations for other charges in their own districts and jurisdictions. State prosecutors may also want to take note and then take notes as well. Any hope that ACORN have of surviving beyond the next few years will rely heavily on cooperation with authorities - something that Bertha Lewis and company really need to focus on. Instead of throwing temper tantrums against independent media outlets like Fox News and talk radio they need to look inward at themselves then look outward at the big picture, at the level of corruption spreading throughout their entire organisation. They need to stop acting infantile and start making a serious effort to reform themselves - before the authorities do it for them. CAIR FACING SERIOUS INVESTIGATION BY THE FBI The Washington DC field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation have now confirmed that there is an active investigation into an alliance between a major Islamist advocacy group and a notorious terrorist organisation. Assistant FBI Director Richard C Powers has also confirmed that the agency have also cut ties to the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) in wake of the discovered connection. This arises as they have bragged about keeping a DVD critical of their efforts out of a public school in Pennsylvania. And this is on top of an explosive exposé that has been published about CAIR. With the revelation that CAIR have published hitlists against people critical of their own efforts it is plain to see that conspiracy charges could even escalate into possible RICO Act violations as well. It's nice to know that there is an active FBI investigation into that matter but for real effect some United States Attorney's offices need to step up to the plate and begin crafting their own investigations, with or without the FBI's involvement, though involving the FBI will significantly help their case. And even if we don't shut down CAIR we can certainly bring about effective change not only in the organisation but also in the growing Muslim population in America, to wake them up to the radicalism being promoted in their name and then give them the opportunity to remove themselves from that sort of an organisation. They could stand to use more polite, more tolerant, and more moderate methods of living in American society, not to force America to conform to them, but to assimilate as much as possible into American society. Maybe then they will understand that freedom is not just for them but for everyone. Consider this: As much as there was a JudeoChristian focus by our founding fathers, they crafted freedoms that could be universally applied for all people irrespective of religious faith. This means that the Constitution protects Christians, Jews, Muslims, Wiccans, Buddhists, atheists, animists, and Hindus equally...and it is high time that groups like CAIR recognised that before they are brought down for perverting the Islamic faith to practise corruption and conspiracies.

"I DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF SO MANY HONOURED BY THE PRIZE"
The headline to this article sums up the assessment of the Media's President, Mr Obama, upon being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday. And I am inclined to concur with the man who had served only twelve days as President of the United States before nominations for the award were closed. Whilst being the first Black American president is very noteworthy indeed, he showed remarkable humility upon the shocking announcement. Mr Obama decided to donate the $1,4m prize to charity after he accepts the award in December. The Norwegian Nobel Committee thought enough of his aims toward peace in the Middle East, reducing the world supply of nuclear arms, and taking the lead in avoiding the nonexistent "problem" of so-called "climate change" to award him the prize - but then again that is the sign of Marxism infecting leftist movements, like that which began more than a century ago with the Fabian movement in Great Britain, not a symbol of support for Mr Obama. This is not meant to be a criticism of Mr Obama - this is an assessment against the Nobel Committee, who have awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to far more deserving folks in the past, like Mother Teresa and the Rev Martin Luther King Jr. They could have chosen far more deserving people of this prize. Take for instance David Suzuki, who is the Canadian environment minister, and who also happens to have left-of-centre views. He has taken consistent policy positions that promote awareness of what he sees as a problem with so-called "climate change" - in ways that Mr Obama could ill imagine. Or maybe Nobel could have given the award to Paul Hewson instead. Fans of the Irish rock band U2 will immediately recognise Mr Hewson as the group's iconic lead singer - Bono. His longstanding commitment to and truly genuine involvement in humanitarian efforts dating back to the Band Aid project, complete with the 1984 smash hit, Do they know it's Christmastime?, clearly puts Mr Hewson in far better position for the Nobel Peace Prize than Mr Obama. Speaking of musicians, Gordon Sumner is a far better choice for the award because of his own humanitarian and environmental efforts. The British rocker, also known as Sting from the new wave band, The Police, not only worked with U2 in the Band Aid effort but also advocated heavily for Amnesty International, founded the Rainforest Foundation to help save tropical jungles from perceived destruction, and even worked to alert the world to the problems associated with the Chinese government in Tibet. On account of those elements, Mr Sumner clearly deserves the Nobel Peace Prize in ways that Mr Obama has not genuinely demonstrated. I think that Sir Bob Geldof - the driving force that brought those last two more deserving Nobel Peace Prize candidates - would be better suited for that award as well, because he has become better known for his humanitarianism than he has for his music. The Nobel committee also have passed over a father and son team: Roy Innis has been the director of the Congress of Racial Equality, or CORE, since 1968, with his son Niger working as a spokesman. Both have advanced the aim of generating genuine racial equality by countering segregation, racism, and other discrimination without using violence. We could have had an American Negro Nobel Peace Prize Winner - or even two - who are better qualified than Mr Obama for that award. I would also suggest that Atal Bihari Vajpayee could have received the award instead - because the former Indian prime minister made a sincere effort alongside Pervez Musharraf, the now-former prime minister of Pakistan, to resolve their nations' collective differences over the disputed regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Even the first democratically-elected Afghan president, Hamid Karzai - a personal hero of mine - is better situated for the Nobel Peace Prize, for his efforts to bring together a troubled nation and combat terrorism - another sign that it was NOT solely an American effort to remove the Taleban from Afghanistan. I would also offer that Former French President Jacques Chirac - himself an outspoken opponent of the War On Terror - is a better candidate for his genuine work in pacifist efforts over a longstanding period of time. Venerable actor Jerry Lewis should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as well - because of his decades of dedication to the cause of eradicating more than three dozen types of muscular dystrophy from the face of this earth. And I would even consider a posthumous awards as well - the late singer Michael Jackson for his longstanding stellar record of humanitarian efforts. Yes, Mr Obama is right - he does not necessarily deserve this award. But he DOES deserve recognition, not for his role in history, but for his own efforts. But the Nobel Peace Prize is definitely premature given the circumstances.
MR ZELAYA REBUFFS MR MICHELETTI'S RESTORATION OF CIVIL LIBERTIES IN HONDURAS
When Honduran President Roberto Micheletti decided to restore the civil liberties of Hondurans in the wake of the military overthrow of a constitutional violator who served as Mr Micheletti's predecessor, Manuel Zelaya, the latter of those two men rebuffed the move as "meaningless". But why? Could it be that Mr Zelaya's own selfish quest for power was met with people who actually upheld that country's constitution? In a move that bucked the trend of so many Latin American nations and actually kept a leader in check - the country's military actually did the people a great favour. And the fact that Mr Zelaya's own act of treason was nipped in the bud when it was shows great hope for genuinue democratic, republican, and libertarian principles, by reinforcing the limited role of the executive branch, as well as the limited role intended for government in general. Of course Mr Zelaya's supporters are acting like effete snobs, showing defiant effrontery, not to mention complete disdain for their country's policies that ensure their freedoms. They scream in the streets like spoiled children failing to understand why the overthrow was necessary. What if the overthrow had gone in the other direction - to target their own ideology? This is what is so great about the Honduras Constitution - as well as the United States Constitution - both ensure essential liberties, including the right to petition for redress of grievances, the right to free speech, the right to peaceably assemble - and if the left-of-centre folks had been targeted by such a government changeover they would be in outright rebellion at such action. Mr Micheletti is further reinforcing the standards that truly define a free nation as well as those that define the best function of government. Our founding fathers intended for us to take similar action if ever we were faced with a similar situation in our own government - which we can all hope never happens. But we are increasingly fearful that we may have to undertake such an action. That action however is clearly sanctioned in the Constitution as well as the Declaration of Independence which both encourage us to follow such principles - as the founding fathers thought that the blood of tyrants should be shed from time to time. Perhaps this was a form of that principle exercised in Honduras and we stand to learn from this example.
JOY BEHAR GETS SHOW ON HEADLINE NEWS
I was flipping through channels recently when I was on the road and discovered that the rabid irrational partisan voice from The View, Joy Behar, is hitting the airwaves of Headline News. And the HLN hookup appears well-suited to her political proclivities. Considering the left-of-centre leanings of HLN - and their parent, Time Warner - who also own CNN - Ms Behar should have NO problem fitting in with the ideological culture over there. And if this presents such a conflict of interest with ABC Television that she has to leave The View - then that would be a positive as it would give them a chance to find someone less confrontational and irrational, and in doing so would improve the shows' ratings. But it would also give her a venue even more in line with her ideologies - and another opportunity to go head to head with CNN and MSNBC. Fox News however would still trump all three. But this could also hurt HLN in a way that MSNBC were hurt with Phil Donahue's last show. The ratings could fail to register given Ms Behar's reputation for outrageous statements rooted in irrational partisanism. If you watch HLN and you find yourself watching her show, take everything she says with a grain of salt...and look it up on your own.
KANSAS CITY JUDGE LETS PAEDOPHILE HAVE PROBATION
When Jackson County (MO) Judge John Torrence allowed a convicted paedophile to serve probation he set off a firestorm that evoked complete outrage both locally and nationally, particularly after The O'Reilly Factor picked up the story on Fox News, not to mention the blogosphere. Turns out that for a judge known for handing down stiff jail sentences he went terribly soft on one particular case - and could not have managed a more epic fail. But now Judge Torrence has a target painted on his back - proverbial of course - and he is facing intense opposition in Missouri. Jackson County encompasses Kansas City, the home of the NFL's Chiefs and the MLB's Royals. Bill O'Reilly has talked with activists seeking to have him removed from the bench. They explained how it takes a state legislator to remove such a judge through a review process in the State House of Representatives and the State Senate. But they left out another body. In Missouri we have a special body that reviews complaints registered against judges, the Commission On Retirement Removal And Discipline Of Judges, based in St Louis. People can send a complaint to that commission if they have a genuine complaint about how a judge comports himself on the bench especially in certain cases. They then review the complaint and then visit the judge to discuss the matter with the judge and then make their decision based upon the evidence presented in the case. But if enough people in the Show Me State raise hell with the Commission On Retirement Removal And Discipline about Judge Torrence they will also be motivated to take some sort of review in the matter. As a recent case noted in neighbouring Oklahoma will show regarding a relatively similar ruling by a circuit judge in that state the people do have an impact when they raise their voices. Maybe they will be able to bring about some common sense in the handling of such cases in future. Maybe Judge Torrence doesn't have to throw a paedophile into a lion's den at the Kansas City Zoo but he certainly should be more careful about his adjudication of sentences and penalties. Probation is appropriate for harassment or for even a simple assault. It is NOT appropriate for child molestation.
SORRY I AM LATE, BUT MUM NEEDED A LOT OF HELP
Recently my mother underwent knee replacement surgery and has been adjusting to her healing with the extensive use of walkers as well as limited mobility. I have seen her take a few painful steps at the time - and she is in the master bedroom most of the time, even receiving physical therapy and doctor's visits upstairs. Our split-level staircase in our two-story house makes matters more complicating as she is unable to go up and down stairs very frequently. She has had to be driven if she leaves the house, by one of my two aunties who live nearby. And I have had to take on much greater roles - like washing laundry (which I have done a lot of, particularly bedsheets and comforters), shopping, and even cooking, going as far as to bake a beef pot roast with potatoes and carrots - but I seasoned it differently. Instead of salt, pepper, and water, I used Worcestershire sauce and beef broth - which she found satisfying. And running errands and getting things done round the house have taken up a lot of my time. I have been on the computer a lot the past few days, but I have also been helping her round the house, doing a lot for her, and consequently I have been unable to work on my blog as much as I would have liked. And the fact that I was so tired after a 400mi ride in a company van back to Kansas City including being stuck in traffic twice in the St Louis metropolitan area didn't help - as I was tired enough to take a nap about an hour outside of Kansas City when I drove home in the pickup. Go back to my very first blog and you will see why I had to warn you folks about drowsy driving. I had passed through a state with signs showing circle and slash signs over the words, DRIVE TIRED - which are in place at every rest area in Illinois. And for that I have let you, my readers down, and for that I apologise. I am currently not at the point where I can afford a laptop as I still have a major repair to my car to make. I will tell you more about that shortly and tell you how to make a leaking heater core last for MONTHS. Stay tuned. By the way, I think I have some more laundry to attend to. Hopefully I will have a more timely blog that is closer to being on time...

INDOCTRINATION THROUGH MUSICAL MEANS?
I am certain I do not have to tell you about the lyrics of a song which a New Jersey primary school instructor taught young children attending the school, glorifying the President, Mr Obama. It has been all over the news this past week, and certainly Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage have weighed in heavily on this issue. I cannot fault Mr Obama in this matter: He is merely a cult of personality for a number of Americans. The problem is not that the man is in office, it is that the song was even taught to the children in a public school by school instructors using their own political preferences in the first place. And maybe Mr Obama should be regarded as having his own place amongst the children as pawns too. Mounting evidence, some factual, some anecdotal, affirms that during last year's presidential election cycle public school instructors and administrators were heavily favouring Mr Obama, with the National Education Association reportedly donating $10 to the Democrats for every $1 donated to the Republicans. Now granted, the public school instructors are free to vote as they see fit. However, it is not prudent to dictate their views on the children, no matter how creative their methodologies. And if most school instructors were Republicans blindly defending either of the Messrs Bush there would be a justifiable problem. And this was done before: A Los Angeles instructor basically pushed her students to record a song about Mr Obama last year and it became a YouTube sensation. Understandably it is important to keep students apprised of current events. That said, there are far better methods than those utilised in these examples.
AS THE BRONCOS SHELLAC THE RAIDERS, BOMBSHELL AFFIRMS CABLE PUNCHED ASSISTANT
The four turnovers committed by the Oakland Raiders in their 23:3 loss to the Denver Broncos at Alameda County Coliseum were a pittance compared to the bombshell that Randy Hanson dropped when he affirmed that head coach Tom Cable had punched his assistant in the jaw during training camp in August. A tough Denver defence held the Silver And Black to 137yd - meaning that they had not carefully applied any lessons they had been shown with their close scrape in Kansas City against the Chiefs the week before. The Broncos came into the game razor sharp, capitalising on two first-quarter interceptions that JaMarcus Russell threw and the Orange And Blue came up with 10 of their 13 points that they had at the half. Obviously pass protection is critical for recovery and success. And Elvis Dumervil's two sacks did not help matters either, further affirming the toughness of the Bronco defence which complemented their offence, which Correll Buckhalter and Knowshon Moreno alone comprised almost 200yd, including Moreno's touchdown in the third quarter. The Raiders have to clean up their defence as well as their pass protection plain and simple in order to effectively fend off the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium. But now the greater issue is the behaviour of Coach Cable toward Coach Hanson. Just what is the justification of a head coach punching an assistant coach? Why would Coach Cable do something of this nature? Clearly he is fortunate not to be facing prosecution. At the very least Al Davis should sit him down and talk to him about his anger problems - and demand he get those problems managed posthaste. He has had to deal with a player punching another player and seeing a subsequent lawsuit erupt in process.
AFTER MORE THAN 30 YEARS ROMAN POLANSKI IS FINALLY HAULED IN FOR RAPING A TEENAGE GIRL
It is appalling to see how many Hollywood celebrities are showing pity and sympathy for a disgusting paedophile in their ranks. Since 1978 he had averted American justice in the wake of liquoring up and drugging and then raping a 13-year-old girl and had stayed overseas, mostly in France, Poland, or Switzerland, where he was finally picked up by the authorities last weekend. And public opinion outside Hollywood and the media has been understandably that of outrage and contempt. But when The View's Whoopi Goldberg tried to spin away the gravity of the charges against notorious filmmaker Roman Polanski by claiming that "it wasn't 'rape' rape", she drew even further condemnation from the Independent Media. Even if those charges happened so long ago, the evidence is still clear: Mr Polanski violated a minor, this ON TOP OF giving her alcohol and drugs. He has proven himself a reprobate and a paedophile as a result - and clearly deserves to face the full brunt of the American justice system. Even with acute overcrowding in California prisons, the state where Mr Polanski committed that heinous crime, he deserves a prison cell and he deserves to face the consequences of his actions. And the fact that he hid himself and absconded from the justice system should be regarded as an aggravator --- and thus subject him to further penalties. Quite frankly it might be better to weld his cell door shut and let him rot in prison for his heinous crimes.
STREET PUNKS BEAT HONOURS STUDENT TO DEATH
Earlier this week three adults and a juvenile were hauled in for a brutal beating death they caused for a 16-year-old Chicago honours student who was working to improve his life and his prospects. What is almost as disturbing is that so many people seen in the video that surfaced capturing the vicious attack were seen as apathetic - almost a chilling reminder of the downstate attack by two teenagers on a student on a school bus; those teenagers have since been expelled and charged as juveniles for that assault. When Juan Williams substituted for Bill O'Reilly on the Fox News programme, The O'Reilly Factor, on Friday, he spoke with two prominent Blacks, including a minister, about the continuing issue of urban violent crimes, including Black on Black crimes, like that which claimed the life of Derrion Albert. This led a poignant edge to the programme. How tragic it is that there are people who have not been taught about self-responsibility who insist upon attacking innocent people who are merely walking down the street. The Derrion Alberts of the inner city should NOT have to face this sort of terror. Law enforcement and the legal system can do only so much. The rest of this falls back upon...the parents. Even a single parent can effectively teach children about self-responsibility in a way that it sticks firmly in the child's mind. I should know, my mother raised me as a single parent for a few years in my youth. Maybe if the street punks' parents had done as much they would not be witnessing their young facing criminal charges. There is no question that Derrion Albert was the victim of violent crime. But the problem lies with parents who fail to take adequate care to teach their children right from wrong. When people learn to understand that they will be less prone to attack others. But there is another factor missing and that is basic empathy for the suffering. When they learn to stop walking by as if to ignore the suffering victim on the pavement and learn to start giving a damn we are going to see their comportment improve and we will see less of these things happen.

YOU MAKE THE CALL: SHOULD ABUSIVE BILL COLLECTORS BE PROSECUTED FOR KILLING THEIR TARGETS WITH THEIR TACTICS?
Not every experience with bill collectors turns out this tragic. But when you see the extent of extreme harassment experienced by the late Stanley McLeod of Florida --- you can clearly see WHY so many people DESPISE collection agencies, ESPECIALLY when they get so out of control and power hungry that their refusal to stop harassing others compounds their targets' health problems --- and then you see WHY we refer to him as "the late Stanley McLeod". Clearly there are limitations on how collection agencies can operate. Some of them are spelled out in the Fair Debt Collection Practises Act of 1977. (Adobe Acrobat required for that link) (OTHERWISE USE THIS LINK) And in the case of Green Tree Servicing, the collector working for that company would harass him, by telling him to have a helicopter pick him up and bring in a payment - a reference to the use of a Life Flight-type helicopter used to rush him to hospital some years earlier - has violated Section 806 of the Act, which specifically prohibits harassment and bullying. Therefore he is himself subject to civil penalties - this on top of his employer, who have vowed to take the matter to court. Folks, I think that in the wake of this matter, you are going to see Green Tree Servicing have to make a substantive settlement or pay a judgment. But even then that would not be enough. Soon, anticipate criminal prosecution to be added to the arsenal of legal remedies made available to abusive bill collectors. Admittedly the bill collectors have a very important job to do. That said, occasionally they can get out of hand. Maybe if they learn that they can go to jail, or even prison, for abusing their positions, especially if someone winds up suffering a heart attack like that which Mr McLeod suffered, perhaps they will clean up their act and change their methods. I have had to deal with a more moderate yet still abusive bill collector myself. I finally complained to their headquarters over the phone and finally issued a request not to contact me any further. A corporate manager finally accepted my no-contact order over the phone and I have not heard from them since.
Five Words That WILL Stop A Bill Collector DEAD IN HIS OR HER TRACKS
"Fair Debt Collection Practises Act"
That's right. Once you tell a bill collector you are invoking your rights under that act...it is basically game over. Putting it in writing will ensure it however. But when abusive bill collectors are finally brought to account for their antics in criminal court --- and a few of those folks get convicted for manslaughter or even murder as a result --- maybe then they will wake the hell up and smell the reality.

TIME TO BLOCK SOME CYBERBULLIES - AGAIN! By Brian Mora Some of you folks may remember that earlier this year I had a problem with a cyberbully on the Myspace application, Hotties For Sale. For those of you that don't know what that is, Hotties For Sale works more or less like day trading in the stock market, but that the profiles of participants and in some cases people on their friends lists, are the proverbial stocks; their prices are expressed in virtual dollars and can rise meteorically in a matter of minutes or drop gradually over a period of days or more. The highly interactive nature of that application can open the doors to new friends. Unfortunately, one problem with that nature is it can also open the door to enemies who seek to abuse the application to harass, bully, and intimidate others. In most cases, blocking such abusers should put the brakes on the problems. But occasionally a few of those abusers can persist with their harassment beyond blocking others or being blocked. And unfortunately this is the case I must deal with. In January I first told you about the problems I faced from "☠☆MONGOWATSON7☆☠" who abused one of the walls of a "hottie" (who BTW was NOT active and IS NOT active in the application) to post inappropriate taglines and comments, personal information about myself, and even outright threats. That matter ultimately went into a police investigation and in the end there was a stalemate: His misdemeanours - of which there were MANY - precluded his extradition from eastern Pennsylvania where he lives. There were of course his allegations about threats from me. The fact of the matter is I HAVE NEVER THREATENED ANYONE IN MY LIFE. And he was ginning up his own accusations just to try to take himself out of the focus of a problem which he dragged his woman "NICI" into the matter. Now we come to a new cretin whose despicable deeds have proven far darker than anything that "☠☆MONGOWATSON7☆☠" had ever done. Enter "Boise's Bronx". "Boise's Bronx" (42590607) is a simpleton from Boise ID who has a problem with the meaning of LEAVE ME ALONE or of LEAVE OTHERS ALONE WHEN THEY DON'T WANT YOU BOTHERING THEM ANYMORE. Additionally after a few confrontations on that application he chose to block me then abuse my friends list so he could add my friends just to further harass, humiliate, torture, bully, and intimidate me. But that is not all: He also brought his wife, "Candace" (404025184), into the act to harangue me as well, and even dragged in another chum, "Kitty Licker" (465943182), into this fiasco. Additionally, "Boise's Bronx" not only stole one of my pics but also abused it in a crude parody of Captain James Tiberius Kirk from the 1960s television series, Star Trek --- thus violating CBS Domestic Television's copyright in process - ON TOP OF abusing his own profile on Hotties For Sale to mock, intimidate, and harass me. See the following screenshot for proof: The lowest part of "Boise's Bronx"' campaign is he even turned his backup profile (409456927) into a mock profile of myself, a fake profile designed to defame my character and my good name as well as intimidate me further. His effort at an impostor profile alone should be enough to warrant deletion from Myspace altogether. But then there is even more: "Boise's Bronx" has the audacity to degrade women in his use of the application, branding his hotties as "Concubines" and even stealing other people's taglines and corrupting them, not to mention abusing the comments sections of certain hotties' walls as a place to harass, pester, stalk, bully, intimidate, ridicule, and even rant in a vain effort to win sympathy for his side of the problem. Only an idiot would DARE take "Boise's Bronx"' side! Let's have a look at what I mean. Please take the time to check out the following screenshots:
All of those offensive taglines and comments are the evil handiwork of "Boise's Bronx" who would dare to call ME "disrespectful" toward women when he brands his own hotties "concubines" whilst he is HARASSING ME, hiding behind the Block User feature by blocking me - he BLOCKED ME FIRST - and I did block "Boise's Bronx" back - and I have communicated in no uncertain terms that he needs to GET LOST and STAY LOST! And then there is the matter of this comment which he left about one certain '80s rock group - the text of which reads as follows:
Boise's Bronx wrote 19 minutes ago We should all band together and stop this, while we're at it we should ban all the Michael Jackson tributes, Johnny Cash tributes, Exposé profiles (since they pretty much died in the early 90's and only reformed to support the drug and drinking habits), and Elvis tributes. While we are at it we might as well ban your profile since your soul died along time ago. Wall-to-Wall - Write on his Wall - Report And view proof positive of that comment's existence on Then he has the gall to ridicule ME with some of the taglines I happen to use for a few of those hotties --- admittedly rather aggressive and occasionally vicious --- with THIS broadside!?
"HOTTIE EMPIRE - REPOSSESSION & RESCUE DIVISION - C'MON FOLKS, SHE'S A HUMAN BEING NOT A PIECE OF PROPERTY! "EXCLUSIVE PERMANENT PROPERTY OF BRIAN MORA" MY ASS! WHAT A CHAUVINIST 2 TREAT WOMEN LIKE PROPERTY, KEEPIN 'EM DOWN...NOT LETTING THEM B WORTH THIER POTENTIAL ON HOTTIES 4 SALE. HOW DISRESPECTFUL 2 TREAT WOMEN LIKE THE DOUCHE THAT OWNED HER TREATS MOST WOMEN!” THE PROOF IS ALL OVER YOUR PAGE! PEOPLE CAN READ YOUR TAG LINE, WALL COMMENTS, ECT, ECT" What a load of crapola. "Boise's Bronx" is in NO position WHATSOEVER to attack me for allegedly "keepin 'em down" and "not letting them b worth thier potential" (sic for both) and DEFINITELY he is in NO position whatsoever to tell me about "what a chauvinist 2 treat women like property" when HE HIMSELF brands HIS hotties as "concubines" and "on her knees ecstatically serving her new master...Boise's Bronx!" And any damn fool KNOWS that the people behind those profiles bought and sold on the application ARE GENERALLY REAL! Those folks MUST know that they do NOT deserve to be degraded by imbeciles like "Boise's Bronx" and "☠☆MONGOWATSON7☆☠" who have NO respect for the persons BEHIND the photos of those attractive folks - ESPECIALLY the greater dimensions of talent and intellect you might not gain from that photo alone - which is EXACTLY why it is important to have a REAL interest in GETTING TO KNOW PEOPLE - NOT JUST another effort to harass and harangue others who don't wish to be bothered! He DEFINITELY needs to be BLOCKED from Myspace to the point that his profile is permanently removed from Myspace --- and IF you are on Hotties For Sale, then DEFINITELY you NEED TO REPORT "BOISE'S BRONX" IMMEDIATELY. If you see a comment of his, you can click REPORT then copy and paste the information in this blog and then click Report after filling that box, you can also contact the Hotties For Sale administrative contact, Cindy Lou!, and inform her about the gravity of "Boise's Bronx"' problematic behaviour on the application. Here is a list of those folks whom YOU NEED TO REPORT AND BLOCK NOW: Evidently this is the kind of crap that turns a perfectly good application into a tawdry Craiglist of iniquity, hatred, venom, and malice. This sort of behaviour is certainly unacceptable on these applications - and definitely unacceptable on social networking sites like this. Additionally, you are more than welcome to copy and repost this to your own blogs. I ask ONLY that you LEAVE ALL TEXT INTACT. Incidentally, this is the SECOND time that I have had to post this blog. The REASON I posted that blog the first time IS because I was facing a genuine problem from people abusing that application. I DO NOT APPRECIATE BEING CENSORED SIMPLY BECAUSE I WAS ALERTING OTHERS TO A PROBLEM USER ON THIS SITE. I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO SEEK HELP FROM MYSPACE AND FROM APPLICATION DEVELOPERS AND FROM FRIENDS IN DEALING WITH SUCH INDIVIDUALS AND TO ASK FOR HELP FOR THAT PURPOSE. IF MYSPACE ACTUALLY CARED ABOUT THE PROBLEM THEY WOULD NOT CENSOR PEOPLE WHO NEEDED HELP IN DEALING WITH SUCH PEOPLE; RATHER THEY WOULD GET UP AND DEAL WITH THE REAL PROBLEM, WHICH IS THE CYBERHARASSMENT OF THOSE HARASSING PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO CALL FOR HELP BECAUSE OF THAT PROBLEM! Since I originally posted this I have uncovered even more evidence against the principal culprit in this matter, Boise's Bronx. This includes the following screenshots taken of his abusive antics: AND I AM GOING TO KEEP REPOSTING THIS UNTIL HIS HARASSMENT IS PUT TO A HALT BY REMOVING HIS PROFILE FROM SERVICE!

WHITE HOUSE BULLY INSURANCE COMPANIES TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT THE HEALTHCARE BILL - JUST LIKE THE BILL ITSELF As if it were not enough that the Senator Max Baucus' (D-MT) government healthcare proposal has a proviso mandating prison sentences for those who fail to maintain insurance policies suitable to the bureaucrats - Mr Obama's administration have now turned to harassing insurance companies who tell the truth about Medicare and Medicaid cuts in the Democrats' government healthcare proposals. And Senate "Minority" Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is supporting Humana on their exposé of the proposed Medicare/Medicaid cuts. Evidently the Democrats are so desperate to force a government healthcare scheme upon we the people without regard to reality (failed healthcare schemes are in place in Britain, France, Holland, Cuba, and Canada, such to the point that the gentleman that started Canada on the trail to socialised medicine, Mr Castonguay, has publicly called for reprivatising health insurance), popular sentiment (overwhelming opposition from both Democrats AND Republicans to ANY government healthcare scheme), or the United States Constitution (certain Articles as well as Amendments are being violated in this example). If Humana see a need to inform their patrons of coming changes in proposed healthcare legislation, do they not have a duty to inform them of potential changes in their coverages and how it would affect their Medicare alternative? They certainly have a right to tell the truth about the government's proposed changes - and if the truth hurts Washington then the last thing they should be doing is censoring the proposed changes. The shameful antics of the Obama administration toward Humana are nothing short of unconstitutional - in fact this is completely anathema to the aims of the Founding Fathers who would NEVER have tolerated such activity. Come to think of it, even lawmakers from as recently as the 1950s and the 1960s would never have tolerated such actions. Instead of bullying companies innocently telling the plain awful truth about something that is being proposed the government should listen to the alarms sounding all around them and start understanding what those alarms are saying, that American healthcare is distinctly unique in that the most technological advances in medicine are coming from the United States and that there is NO need to nationalise healthcare in any way. Evidently Mr Baucus - and Mr Obama too - are on the WRONG side of the issue. It is far better that they scrap their methods and leave well enough alone.
Seeing that my buddy Los from ScoopThis is having so much fun with his Philadelphia Eagles blogs, I figured I would add a little something to my blogs about MY favourite NFL team and present the...
A BAD DAY ON OFFENCE AND STILL THE RAIDERS PICK UP THE W
Two years ago JaMarcus Russell was the Number One overall draft pick. Now the Oakland Raiders quarterback is coming off a winning performance against his AFC West archrivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, in a 13:10 victory at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. But you wouldn't know it by his stats. He completed only seven of 24 passes for 109 yards. However, some of those yards came when they were most needed...like the final scoring drive in the last two minutes of the game when no sooner had the Chiefs scored with a 29yd Matt Cassel pass to Dwayne Bowe did Raiders running back Darren McFadden, who later called it one of the strangest wins, wrap a 91-second scoring drive with a touchdown. And you wouldn't know it from the team stats either: The Chiefs gained 409yd on offence to the Raiders' 166yd as the Silver and Black went to 1:1 and the Red White and Gold dropped to 0:2. However, defence may have played somewhat of a key in keeping the Chiefs' scoring low: Raiders defensive back Michael Huff caught two of Cassel's passes, whilst Russell avoided the INT department. Penalties (nine for 70yd) and poor clock management also burnt the Chiefs who trailed 6:3 at the half. And the fact that Brandon Flowers, just back from the injured reserve following surgery a month earlier, failed to catch a pass that would have given the Chiefs a touchdown did not help matters. Evidently the Raiders will be working more attentively to handle passing and maintaining a strong defence as they go into Sunday's 4.15p game with the Denver Broncos. JaMarcus Russell did complete two passes in that game-winning touchdown drive - to Louis Murphy for 19yd and Todd Watkins for 28yd. But he is going to have to work a little bit harder to coordinate his receivers and his backs. The receivers are definitely going to need to get their act together - and the offensive line MUST do a better job of pass protection too. But the Raiders will overcome this problem of terrible pass protection methods and in time get more wins. This win also puts the Silver and Black in fair position but because playoff berths are determined largely by division games these methods must be improved fast in order to get that all-important win back in Oakland against a visiting AFC West-leading Bronco team. Incidentally, the Chiefs visit the aforementioned Philadelphia Eagles, with the controversial Michael Vick expected to get his first start because of an injury to Donovan McNabb...another weekend before the long queues of tailgaters finish pouring off the I-70 at Blue Ridge Parkway and the Truman Sport Complex. I saw those last Sunday as I headed to work and it was INSANE!!!
FOOLISH FLORIDA JUDGE ORDERS UNCOMFORTABLE CHRISTIAN CONVERT TEEN TO RETURN TO HER MUSLIM PARENTS
When a Florida court determined that a teenaged Christian convert named Rifqa Bary was at no personal risk of an honour killing and thus ordered her back to her Muslim parents in Ohio - this despite justifiable fears from the young woman about her parents who claim she was "brainwashed". Given the increased controversy regarding Islam - and the choices of some children of Muslim parents, ranging from changing religions to living more Western-type lifestyles - that judge made some seriously shortsighted decisions, like cutting her off from the foster family in Florida that cared for her. Are children not entitled to their own religious freedom as well as adults? This ruling smacks of a violation of her human rights if not also her First Amendment freedom of religion. Clearly that judge needs to be recalled from the bench - and Mr Crist, the Florida governor, should call for a full scale probe into the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as well as the judge involved, and see if criminal charges could also be pursued. Let us ALL pray for sweet young beautiful Rifqa Bary who has made her religious choice abundantly clear - and is being persecuted for that choice as if she were still in her native Sri Lanka. Religious strife has rocked that island nation off the southeast coast of India - and she needs to know she can feel safe with her religious decisions. The last thing the United States need is an honour killing in this country.
THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL CONTINUES FOR ACORN
As more and more government agencies withdraw funding for the controversial left-of-centre community activist group ACORN their future appears more and more in doubt. As more video evidence rises to the surface about ACORN employees engaging in criminal conspiracies, with the Internal Revenue Service filing a lien on ACORN, both the US House of Representatives AND the US Senate defunding them, and now the Attorney General, Mr Holden, probing the group - it is plainly evident that ACORN are proving to be rotten to the core. But the Establishment Media continue to prove ignorant about the whole thing - as evidenced by liberal columnist Bill Press' latest rant. But as Judicial Watch file a Freedom Of Information Act request about ACORN's records - ACORN themselves already filed suit against two intrepid and brave patriots who exposed their dirty dealings in Maryland court - and have also targeted Mr Breitbart's site in process. And this is not the first time ACORN have sued to protect their own dirty pool bad behaviour: Anita MonCrief exposed voter fraud perpetrated by ACORN and was subsequently sued for $5m. Clearly the organisation have dug themselves a deep trench and they are about to bury themselves. It has been revealed that because they have been receiving taxpayer monies and operating as a corporation they cannot expect any privacy, especially not if they are conducting clandestine criminal behaviour. And if they go through with this lawsuit they will find themselves exposed so bare that no jury with even a scintilla of intelligence are going to find in ACORN's favour; rather, they will become a ruined shell and they will find themselves with a ruined reputation such that they will never be able to recover, no matter how much of George Soros' money might go into that group. And it does not help that the US House Finance Committee Chairman, Mr Frank, who was absent from the recent votes to defund ACORN because of a Medal Of Honour ceremony at the White House for a dead soldier from his district, concurred with the decision to defund ACORN, in an interview with Bill O'Reilly on Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor. ACORN will no doubt continue spiralling into oblivion and self-destruction caused by their own bad activities.
LOCAL B OF A BRANCH MANAGER GIVES NATIONAL BANK BLACK EYE
When a South Carolina Bank Of America branch manager cited "corporate policy" as the reason for removing American flags from the bank's property she may have given a black eye to the bank. Those flags were placed there because a local official, Brenda Earls, was honouring a local GI who had given his life in combat - a GI she watched grow up in her neighbourhood. Of course, a spokesman from Bank Of America affirmed that the corporate headquarters encourage banks to fly the American flag, with most if not all of their 6000 branches across America flying their flags. But it was too late to save Ms Earls' business, or even that of the Cherokee County Council, with half a million dollars pulled from the bank. And there is no question that there is local if not widespread disgust at that bank manager's misinterpretation of "policy" not to mention the potential for the local bank to suffer serious financial damage especially with greater media attention. This is a public relations nightmare the local bank might not be able to afford. This is a problem the manager should resolve shortly...by showing respect for the American flag. Let the Stars and Stripes wave on the front lawn and forecourt of the local Bank Of America!
MR AHMADINEJAD DRIVES DIPLOMATS FROM THE ROOM WITH HIS RANTING
The Canadian delegation started the procession out of the United Nations General Assembly when the Iranian president, Makhmud Ahmadinejad, continued defaming and denying the Holocaust, calling it the opinion of a few. His remarks also drew condemnation from not only the United States but also European nations, including Russia, who are now starting to reevaluate their opposition to sanctions on Iran. And not a moment too soon, either: With new information emerging about the growth of Iran's nuclear programme Mr Ahmadinejad appears clearly determined to flex his muscle - and Israel are the direct target of this effort. There is now talk that Mr Obama could come down firmly on Iran. There is now talk that Mr Obama might actually go against his pacifist principles - and actually defend America and Israel against Iran. If he does that, it will be a miracle. But then again, we must remember that Mr Clinton, though relatively pacifist --- except for his broadside against Serbia --- did make an effort to deal with Mr Hussein's regime in Iraq. If we recall those examples - however mistargeted they may have been - then we know that even Mr Obama can be brought to deal with this problem in Iran if need be. And if Mr Ahmadinejad thinks he can get away with getting nukes and attacking Israel - he may well be misunderestimating Mr Obama. MS FEINSTEIN, YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS! GIVING FARMERS WATER IS LIKE PEARL HARBOUR!? WHAT THE HELL...?!
To say that the State of California is misrepresented in the United States Senate is an understatement. As if it were not bad enough that they have to deal with a sanctimonious, sexist, arrogant, ignorant, irresponsible senator who could not even manage her own chequebook at the long-defunct House Bank, who demanded to be referred to as "Senator Boxer" instead of "Ma'am" by a military officer - they have a carbon copy of the same with a malevolent grin and a bad habit for bankrupting the City of San Francisco as mayor before she too was selected Senator! But when Ms Feinstein shot her mouth off at the continuing controversy of the environazis' protection of the smelt as an excuse not to allow her own farmers to have water she disrespected and sacrileged those who were caught up in the Imperial Japanese attack upon Pearl Harbour on 7 December 1941. And who authored the amendment that could have restored water to the California farmers? Neither Ms Boxer nor Ms Feinstein, but in fact Jim DeMint, who represents a state clear on the opposite coast of America - South Carolina! Whilst Mr DeMint affirmed that this water crisis affects not only California but the entire nation, Ms Feinstein offended those who lost family at Pearl Harbour as well as those who have lost family members in military conflict since, not to mention she has sacrileged the memories of the 406000 killed in World War II, the 57500 killed in the Viet Nam Conflict, the more than four-and-a-half thousand soldiers who have given their lives in the War On Terror, and those American soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines killed in every other military conflict - not to mention she has aligned herself firmly with the environazis. This callous attitude MUST be called to account...and sadly her seat is NOT up for reelection until 2012. However, the other corrupt excuse for a United States Senator misrepresenting California, Ms Boxer, IS up for reelection in 2010 - that is less than 14 months away. And there is no better time than RIGHT NOW for Californians to start mobilising to defeat Ms Boxer...and start plotting strategy to unseat Ms Feinstein. Quite frankly I would like to see the veterans groups take Ms Feinstein to task for her outrageous, over-the-top, and downright OFFENSIVE comparison. And BTW those farmers might like to send Mr DeMint a letter thanking him for taking genuine concern. He represents those Central Valley farmers infinitely better and more effectively than either of Ms Boxer OR Ms Feinstein.

FAT CELLS TO STEM CELLS!? When Stanford University researchers proved that fat cells are an effective source of stem cells they clearly demonstrated another great way to regenerate body tissues and offer another way to destigmatise stem cell research. The researchers have proven that embryonic-like stem cells can be developed from fat cells and someday can be used to grow replacement organs. This is a major move forward for medical research including the field of stem cell research and further affirms the ability of living tissue, including adult stem cells, to be developed into replacement tissue. It would also further render insignificant the need for embryonic stem cells - which are ordinarily sourced from human embryos - a common sticking point for a number of pro-life folks who have their objections to stem cell research. I have a United States senator who was selected simply because of one actor's misunderstanding about her challenger's beliefs, and believe me, if Mr Fox understood the true position of Mr Talent, the man whom Ms McCaskill replaced in 2006, he would recognise that Mr Talent has had no objection to stem cell research per se, in fact Mr Talent even favoured funding stem cell research, but not government funding of embryonic stem cell research. I expect that Mr Talent and Mr Fox would both concur on the brilliance of this method - and support it. Maybe this method of developing stem cells from fat cells would even help with Parkinsons disease research that Michael Fox has been bravely championing - and he should most certainly support this type of research, with fat cells being not only a noncontroversial but also truly beneficial source of stem cells. And why would anyone oppose turning fat cells into stem cells? Maybe we cannot directly turn body fat into muscle but with the advent of science does that necessarily mean we are going to grow more muscle for our bodies? We could certainly see that in a way as we can see the prospect of growing new organs, and this could help even transsexuals who might be able to develop certain new organs from such cells. With the fact that rudimentary sperm cells have been developed from bone tissue - the prospect exists that perhaps people might be able to grow new organs - something that would also come in handy for people who are forced to sacrifice their reproductive tissues to diseases like cancer. As bizarre as the potential applications might appear this is a worthy technology that deserves further development - however we must ensure that it is done ethically. Nonetheless this technology - in the proper hands - can and will benefit humanity in ways far beyond those we can imagine. TEA PARTIES IN THE WAKE OF 11 SEPTEMBER Across the nation, last Saturday was another day for enthusiastic gatherings of ordinary Americans, mostly conservative but with growing numbers of liberals, Republicans alongside Democrats, Blacks alongside Whites alongside Hispanics like myself alongside Asians, straights alongside gays, all with one common problem with the United States government: excessive spending coupled with theft of power and money from the American people. One day after the eighth commemoration of the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 thousands upon thousands of Americans crowded central Washington, the nation's capital, to condemn runaway spending and government control schemes proposed by the likes of the president, Mr Obama, the House Speaker, Ms Pelosi, and the Senate Majority Leader, Mr Reid - the last of whom is already facing his own potential political Waterloo next year as he trails every potential Republican challenger in the race for his seat so badly that if mass murderer Charles Manson were to declare his candidacy the people of the state of Nevada would most likely sooner elect him than reelect Mr Reid. And as horrifying as that concept appears on the surface - Americans are raising even more hell about a far more likely - yet far more sinister - scenario that would unfold. It is a sad state of affairs when this blogger has to admit he trusts a mass murderer like Charles Manson more than he trusts political leaders like Ms Pelosi, Mr Reid, or even Mr Obama - but sorry to say this but that is the truth. And that is precisely the idea behind the open demonstrations, a repeat of those that happened on 15 April and 4 July - I was in a suburban St Louis hotel watching the San Antonio TEA Party on Glenn Beck on Fox News - TEA in this case is an acronym for Taxed Enough Already - munching wheat crackers and Provel cheese I had just picked up from Schnucks just up the street on the former and an actual participant at the Joplin TEA Party on the latter. As Congress and Mr Obama's administration continue crafting more outrageous schemes and budgets Americans are determined to continue speaking out - and until the politicians change their tune we the people will continue to speak out.MR CARTER LIES THAT CRITICISM OF MR OBAMA IS RACIAL When Former President James Earl Carter Jr opined that there is a racial element to opposition to the policies of Mr Obama's administration, he ignited a dangerous firestorm of controversy, and recently, veteran comedian Bill Cosby attempted to confirm the man's assessment. But what Mr Carter missed completely and Mr Cosby missed but to an extent, is something that most other Americans picked up on immediately. Let the record state that some say that Mr Obama's selection to the White House is a fulfilment of the Rev Martin Luther King Jr's dream. I myself saw a blackfella with a tee shirt that assessed such and yet he expressed that even he had had some problems with some of the policies that the man had. And he isn't alone either: More and more Blacks are venturing forth with their own problems with Mr Obama's policies advocating greater government control, especially with regard to healthcare. This is of course in addition to most other folks irrespective of their race objecting not only to the policies of Mr Obama but also Ms Pelosi and Mr Reid. For Mr Obama to become the first African to ascend to the United States Presidency is nothing short of phenomenal, not to mention noteworthy. Indeed I myself would like to see a Black president. However Mr Obama, given his tendencies toward socialism and government control, is not the Black president I had in mind. My criticism of Mr Obama does not derive itself in race. It is based purely on ideology. I had the same issues with Mr Clinton that I have with Mr Obama. And Mr Obama is going to have to understand - maybe he even does understand - that race alone is NOT going to excuse him from any missteps he makes in the Oval Office. His policies are affecting ALL Americans, irrespective of skin tone, Caucasoid, Negroid, Mongoloid, Latino, Arab, Hebrew, Hindi, and Native alike, and they are ALL bearing the brunt of the consequences of his bad policies, like mounting unemployment, failing businesses, rising taxes, and lost freedoms. Consequently we see all of those folks coming out in droves to the TEA Parties from Los Angeles to New York, from Boston to Bakersfield, from Fresno to Fayetteville, from Miami to Minneapolis, from Detroit to Dallas...all with a common distrust of government policies. This is the side that Mr Matthews, Mr Olbermann, and Ms Maddow all fail to understand, Ms Brown and Mr Cafferty and Mr King are absent without leave on, and only a few truly understanding folks, folks like Mr Dobbs, Mr O'Reilly, Mr Hannity, and even Ms VanSusteren are awake let alone attentive enough to know that ideology, NOT race, is the key to American distrust of Mr Obama. And as for Mr Cosby, we can certainly give that soul some slack, and not because of his race either. Mr Cosby's legendary wit and humour clearly have transcended his Black roots on the north side of Philadelphia leading to universal appeal. Only a complete hardass could resist his humour. And as an elder statesman Mr Cosby has certainly come down against mangling the English language - unfortunately too common with so much of our youth today, though he has specifically addressed Black youths, not to mention other problems afflicting the Black community today. But he misses the point, although less markedly than Mr Carter did, because he has a greater understanding of reality, no doubt a product of his extensive education, as evidenced by his doctorate in education, yet still he relies to some extent on pop culture and the Establishment Media. But Mr Carter's reliance on his left-of-centre impressions has failed him miserably as he has misdiagnosed the problems which Americans have with Mr Obama. The problem is not his race, it is his ideology - and millions of Americans have long memories of the things that have happened in other countries that have tried methods similar to those of Mr Obama's and yet failed. Mr Obama cannot be said to have a problem simply because of something immutable, like skin colour. He has a problem because he adopted the Saul Alinsky approach to society - and has clearly shown his own incompetency, trying old methods that have failed, just as was the case with Mr Clinton, Mr Johnson, Mr Roosevelt, and yes, even the aforementioned Mr Carter. Besides, Mr Obama himself says opposition to his own policies is not racist - therefore destroying Mr Carter's argument altogether. ACORN STRIPPED OF CONGRESSIONAL FUNDING As mounting examples of fraud and corruption within the community organisation ACORN became fully aware, most US House Democrats joined House Republicans in a bipartisan vote to stop all funding to that organisation. The US Senate also voted to end ACORN funding, but for the Interior Department's budget, and even Mr Reid changed his vote to support that mission at the last moment. Yet ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis fails to comprehend the gravity of the problems in her organisation, even going as far as to attack Independent Media outlet Fox News because her organisation have been exposed thoroughly through a large number of reports. Clearly Ms Lewis is reacting out of anger, having claimed that she can handle the affairs of only so many people at one time within her organisation, even going as far as to target the people who exposed her organisation for their hidden videos apparently advocating child prostitution and trafficking - and Maryland authorities have already indicated they would prosecute the whistleblowers. But those two young actors who blew the alarm are protected by whistleblower laws - and any effort that Ms Lewis or the Maryland authorities make against them is in violation of such laws. There are mounting cases of criminal evidence against ACORN, to the point that the RICO Act (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisation Act of 1970) is clearly warranted. Maybe Mr Holder should consider that instead of harassing CIA operatives and directors who were merely protecting Americans from further terrorist attacks. And maybe this it the time that Ms Lewis should stand down, because she has no way to effectively handle the gravity of authority over such a great organisation. Stripping ACORN of federal funding should send a wakeup call - one that she will have to learn to understand. If she fails to recognise it now, she will be hit with a brutal reality as she is being hauled off to jail in handcuffs facing a slate of corruption charges. MS WILLIAMS LOSES TEMPER ON COURT THEN SHOWS CONTRITION We recently learnt that Serena Williams, the professional tennis player, erupted in a fit of rage at a line judge during a tournament match. Soon after, Ms Williams regained common sense and publicly apologised then posted on her personal website that she had acted out of line. Clearly this is a classic example of poor sportsmanship blown up on a global scale - and her contrite attitude toward what she did on that court shows a clear understanding of how a world class athlete like Ms Williams should comport herself. Those who remember pro tennis in the 1970s will recall the antics of John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, and Ilie Nastase - very fine players in their own right yet given to foul temperament and open expressions of their objections to line calls in sometimes offensive fashion. Thankfully, Ms Williams has expressed something that most folks could appreciate - her humility brought her to recognise the mistake she made so boldly on the court. Bad sportsmanship is unfortunately too common but for those who exhibit it they gain some repute back by expressing remorse for their actions. Such is the case not only with Serena Williams but also with practically any other athlete given to controversial behaviour. MR WEST RUDELY INTERRUPTS MS SWIFT AT AWARD CEREMONY During a recent music awards show rap artist Kanye West behaved very poorly when country singer Taylor Swift was given an award - and he tried ripping the microphone out of her hands and went off on a rant. His antics earned immediate condemnation, not only from Independent Media outlets, but also from other artists at the ceremony. And why not? If Ms Swift earned her award, who is Mr West to exhibit such poor behaviour? He was roundly condemned to the point where country singer John Rich opined on the Fox News programme, Hannity, that he was lucky he didn't encounter a "bunch of good ol' country boys". And actor Mickey Rourke concurred. Beyoncé Knowles did encourage Ms Swift to stand proud, even to the point where when Ms Knowles earned an honour of her own - she herself called Ms Swift back to the stage for her moment in the sun. What a class act. You know that Mr Knowles raised his girls right - and it shows in Beyoncé's humble offering to share the spotlight that Mr West so rudely stole from her. Clearly Mr West could stand to learn some manners and remember the lessons about politeness that someone in his family must have taught him at some point - including his late mother who is no doubt turning in her grave a little bit at her son's own terrible ways on stage. PUNKS BEAT WHITE STUDENT ON ILLINOIS SCHOOL BUS All hell broke loose recently on an Illinois school bus when two Black students pounded a White student mercilessly over something as basic as bus seats. And the bus driver sad to say did nothing to stop this attack other than yell SIT DOWN! What the HELL is the MATTER with that school district? Clearly the community of Belleville have been embarassed by the mishandling of this matter, especially seeing how students are barely being disciplined, not even facing criminal charges. The two attackers deserve much stronger punishment. Forget hate crimes - they need to be jailed for aggravated assault and certainly they should be expelled. As for the driver, he failed to safeguard the injured student's safety as well as that of other passengers; consequently he should be removed from his position immediately. If he wants to drive professionally, he would be better suited for over the road trucking or as a taxi driver. But an inordinate amount of attention has been raised toward the other students who stood up and cheered the fighting going on. Certainly they should be scorned for their callous attitudes, their parents need to make them feel ashamed, and the school district should make them feel humiliated for their miserable attitude toward the misery of others. Making them meet with the families of beating victims might change their attitude and drive the Roman Coliseum attitude out of their bodies. MR OBAMA'S POOR JUDGMENT CALL ON EASTERN EUROPEAN SHIELD When Mr Obama determined that an Eastern European missile defence shield was unnecessary he basically told three longtime allies that their security was not a priority anymore. Now that Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia have been denied a vital tool against possible aggression by rogue nations and terrorists, those countries are in the most vulnerable position they have been in since 1939. It is almost a repeat of the Nazi invasion of those countries - further affirming conservative comparisons of Mr Obama to controversial 1930s British politician Neville Chamberlain, who misunderestimated Adolf Hitler. Given Russian tendencies toward demonstrating power - especially as Mr Medvedev carries on policies Mr Putin was unable to implement whilst in office - Mr Obama's shortsighted decision will clearly accede to Moscow, in a policy move not seen in American history. And with Russia consistently assisting Iran especially as the latter work toward trying to eradicate Israel - the Associated Press now report that the Iranians could have nuclear weapons inside of one year - Mr Obama may have just opened the door to a devastating attack on Jerusalem and other Israeli communites. And Mr Obama's refusal to adequately fund missile defence programmes has not helped his cause. As much as I hate to admit it we are forced to confront the threat that terrorists pose - especially considering we are in a world today where terrorist attacks are a real threat, magnified by the former Soviet nuclear arsenal being scattered throughout former Soviet republics like Tajikistan and Azerbaijan and sometimes falling into the hands of terrorist gangs like AlQaeda and Jemaah Islamiyah. But Mr Obama's scrapping the Eastern European missile defence shield has just given a green light to Russian and terrorist aggression upon central and eastern Europe. And if a 9/11-style attack DOES take place in Warsaw or Brno - then Mr Obama will bear at least some of the responsibility for implementing a pacifist viewpoint on our military policies. Mr Obama has opened a door for the wrong kind of change - on an international scale. DRY FARMS IN CALIFORNIA...FOR THE SAKE OF A TINY FISH With legal jargon tying up water canals for the sake of a tiny fish American pantries and dinner tables are gravely endangered by radical environmental policies run amok. On Thursday Fox News presenter Sean Hannity personally reported from a dry farm in the California community of Huron, where thousands of activists were present to condemn government policies that have kept farmers from receiving the water they need in order to grow crops distributed nationwide. Those policies give undue attention to a tiny fish that is shorter than the fingers of most adults - and farmers have had to stop operating as a result. The knock-on effect has rippled through other businesses that rely on agriculture, to the point where thousands of families in Fresno County must rely on food banks and many others are unable to work. Yet the attorneys and bureaucrats refuse to give the matter the attention it deserves. Actor and farmers activist Paul Rodriguez - who voted for Mr Obama - has actively campaigned on behalf of the thousands of farmers being wrongfully denied water, and was joined on the programme by local talk radio host Inga Barks and actor and now-former Fresno Mayor Alan Autry. Mr Autry (who appeared as a policeman alongside the late Carroll O'Connor on the 1980s television series, In The Heat Of The Night) spoke about the need to get water flowing again - and even the state's governor, Mr Schwarzenegger, has called for the federal government to get out from under the thumb of radical environmentalists and let the water flow so the farmers can grow the tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, spinach, almonds, and other fruits and vegetables we rely upon so greatly. When rampant environmentalism is allowed to influence such crucial policies as water distribution we clearly have a situation we must address straightaways. The left-of-centre tone toward farmers and water distribution needs to be abandoned posthaste - and the pumps need to be turned on at once so the farmers can continue to feed us as we are accustomed to. Otherwise we will see food costs rise drastically - meaning a grave impact upon already straitened pocketbooks and wallets. Such radical environmentalism could ruin businesses on a greater scale - and here is your proof of that.

MR JONES LEAVES THE WHITE HOUSE
Last weekend the American people received a shock that Van Jones - Mr Obama's White House tsar on "green jobs" - was resigning as he fell under increased heat from not only Republicans but also other Americans who saw major faults in his pretzel logic ideologies, from his admissions to Communism to his support for the so-called 9/11 "truth" movement. And maybe it is just as well that he resigned, even though I had predicted he would keep his job. My case for him staying in that position is Mr Jones would have exposed himself further and further and consequently brought even MORE disgrace and discredit to Mr Obama's administration - and Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Mark Levin, Neal Boortz, and the rest of the real talk radio hosts wouldn't even need to air exposés on their programmes - as even the Establishment Media would lay such policies bare and show themselves how blatantly slanted their coverage really truly is. And no amount of screeching from the far left would be able to placate them. But what Mr Jones will leave is a man who can still rebuild his reputation even though his controversial views would later become exposed thus forcing him to resign. Some former White House apparatchiks have totally remade their reputations, like Henry Kissinger and Dick Morris. Others have devolved into further disgrace. Only time will tell what type of man Mr Jones will be remembered as. MR OBAMA STUNS EVERYONE WITH NONPOLITICAL SPEECH TO STUDENTS
When Mr Obama finally proceeded with his anticipated speech to America's school children, he did so knowing that there were all kinds of condemnation from ordinary Americans critical of the messages being presented. Some parents even excluded their children from even viewing the speech. But in the end Mr Obama's speech turned out to be, well, nonpartisan, instead encouraging students to remain in school and achieve an education. Now admittedly there is a certain amount of controversy for any speech he offers anymore, even that which he offers to younger folks. But on this one, maybe we were overly cautious but we may be able to be pleased that he didn't go overboard. And why not? When he saw the masses raising hell about some of the more seemingly ambitious parts of the progressive side of his speech he did have to change course and move toward a more nonpartisan angle. But one thing is for certain: Though he did exceed most people's expectations, Mr Obama needs to understand that oratory skills alone do not make for a great leader. Even Jack Kennedy knew that exercising common sense policies would help America - and given the number of miscues on Mr Obama's part there is no question that he is no Jack Kennedy.
ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE FOR ACORN
First there was the news that Florida labourers for the controversial left-of-centre group ACORN were arrested for election fraud. Then came the shocking video of ACORN labourers pretending to be a pimp and a prostitute running a house of ill repute and harbouring young girls smuggled in from foreign countries. And with that in mind it looks as if at least one government agency are cutting ties to the organisation, what with the problems afflicting this organisation, as the Census Bureau have cut off all ties with ACORN. Folks, the bloom is off the flower that you thought you saw in the one organisation (besides the media) most prominently associated with Mr Obama - and ACORN are now bearing some very foul tasting fruit. When you have employees on a hidden camera speaking about not only advocating prostitution - but also paedophilia, child prostitution, and even child trafficking - you get a general sense that this is clearly NOT the change that the people apparently voted for last November. This is not the first time that such a patently neoliberal organisation or entity have exposed themselves so nakedly - Joycelyn Elders, the first female (and Black) Surgeon General, had to resign barely one and a half years into her tenure after advocating masturbation in sex education classes for children. But make no mistake about it - ACORN have lain the seeds of their own ruination which has just started to unravel. As more and more people learn more about this organisation you can expect that even the massive deception entailed in their election cycle voter registration drive will no longer be kept secret - and we could even start seeing major leaders of that organisation hauled off to jail in handcuffs.
COME ON ALREADY LEAVE CASTER SEMANYA ALONE! Much information has been revealed about a lovely young female track athlete named Caster Semanya. But then again, much has been revealed about a lovely young male track athlete named Caster Semanya. Which is it? Actually, she has turned out to be both. Genetic testing has been carried out on the South African sprinter. Turns out that Ms Semanya is a hermaphrodite - and more than likely some sort of pseudohermaphrodite at that. A pseudohermaphrodite has the general appearance of one sex but the internal sex organs of the other. A true hermaphrodite - and this is a little less common - has both male and female genitals and sex organs. But when God created Ms Semanya in her mother's womb He must have had a greater purpose. That purpose was to make us wake up and smell reality. That sad reality is that we are too quick to condemn - and maybe we worry too much about a person's appearance. But with the fact that Ms Semanya has no ovaries, no uterus, but a pair of undescended testes - it is clear to note that ambiguity could certainly arise. However, at this point, since the dominant sex in her case happens to be female - Caster Semanya should certainly not be disqualified from running women's track. She was raised as a female - so it's better off that she be regarded as such. Let's just leave her alone and let her continue running track.
YOU TELL THEM MR WILSON!: A PATRIOT TELLS IT LIKE IT REALLY IS "YOU...LIE!"
Those two little words shattered the façade of a glittering, glowing, halcyon presence of the Democrat-controlled government. And though Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) did apologise later for the spirited outburst - he shattered the illusion that the Democrats and the media were trying to impose of sweetness and light. Mr Wilson had the cheek to interrupt Mr Obama who was speaking about healthcare in an address to Congress - and he erupted, echoing the sentiments of a growing number of Americans. Now whilst Mr Wilson is clearly a patriot it is not necessarily fair to brand Mr Obama as a traitor. That said, his policies in just the first eight months of his tenure coupled with the policies of the Democrat Congress have wrought quite a lot of havoc on America, their society, and even their economy. Admittedly some of the policies of the previous administration, that of Mr Bush, did cause some economic faults, like overspending by both parties. But now that the Democrats are in charge --- they clearly own all of the unfolding damage they are wreaking on America. They own the spiralling deficits Americans will be saddled with for the foreseeable future, they own the surging unemployment rates, they own the soon-to-be rising tax rates - and they own all the consequential damage that results. But when Mr Wilson shouted down Mr Obama and put fear and shock and anger on the face of Ms Pelosi he clearly put fear into so many Americans on the Left and the Right. And maybe that's what this country needs. What this country got from Mr Wilson was the loudest wakeup call we could ever have had - next to the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001. We are now wiser as a result and we are wide awake, demanding real change. Of course both Democrats and Republicans are now raising money for Mr Wilson's seat in the election of next year. And the rebellious nature of Mr Wilson's remarks have just helped make an already vocal American electorate even more energised and aware of the problems of their government - which is clearly a positive sign. WE REMEMBER 11 SEPTEMBER...AGAIN
Last year I told you about the activities that surrounded my own experiences on 11 September 2001. Now that we are commemorating the eighth anniversary of those horrible attacks I would like to address something else. Clearly as we went about our day we kept in the back of our minds or even in the front of our minds. I didn't pay too much attention to media coverage as I was busy in the morning getting my car into the shop. The mechanics at Firestone had determined my brake calipers needed replacing so it was time to bring in the Chevy. Then it was off to the bank to withdraw $20 from the ATM and get money for breakfast. En route I stopped at a petrol station for a large Rockstar and then off to Hardees for a chicken biscuit and hash rounds...and orange HiC. Especially when you are getting up early on terribly little sleep - breakfast is important. Then I headed into the neighbouring community where I had somehow forgotten a court date and had to appear. I simply explained what had happened - it has been a busy summer - and the court clerk explained to me that the warrant was not yet active and all I had to do was pay a fine. So up the street I walked to the bank (again) and withdrew enough money for the fine for defective equipment - my brake lights were not working that day but only because I didn't know what was wrong, though I do have to replace the turn signal cam - which may also help explain why my cruise control stopped working. Then back to the municipal court I went to pay the fine then it was off on a long walk back to Firestone. The court clerk had noticed I looked a bit exhausted and I admitted I could probably use a Gatorade myself...anyway I walked in and went ahead with paying the bill after noticing my car on the jack getting worked on. But as I had spoken with the clerk we concurred on the importance of remembering what happened to all those people in the Twin Towers...the Pentagon...and even that plane that ended up in the pasture. And those thoughts were on my mind as I walked all over town. I walked past the groundskeeper mowing the lawn, knowing that he probably had to have given great thought to those who perished that day. Even when eating lunch at a Mexican restaurant in the local mall's food court I contemplated that the soldiers who fought to stop terrorism from further affecting Americans on American soil helped to make it possible for us to enjoy the ability to take care of ourselves and our vehicles and eating out and other things we practically take for granted. Then it was off to the car wash. Driving home and listening to Rush Limbaugh I was thinking about the damage that was done to those great landmarks - reminders that continued to ring through Sean Hannity's and Mark Levin's programmes. I even tuned in to Fox News later that night and then on to WWE SmackDown! I would say that though on the surface it appears that we have forgotten what happened there is a great sense from within that suggests otherwise. Somehow it is more subdued but it should never be forgotten how devastating the impacts were of those four hijacked aeroplanes upon our great nation. We are worried about authoritarian rule from Washington - and the threat of terrorism also hovers over us - but we remain strong in effort to carry on with our lives.

SAME STUFF DIFFERENT DAY...THE HEAT IS STILL ON THE DEMOCRATS ABOUT HEALTHCARE So many events from the past week have been repeated this week that on the surface it is hardly worth writing a blog this week. That said the events of the past week are a necessary component of this blog as Democrat politicians are facing row after row after unruly row - from increasingly angry constituents furious about the potential loss of freedom as well as the potential radical transformation of healthcare. Town hall meetings have been organised on behalf of the proposed healthcare scheme of Mr Obama and even with the efforts to push for more supporters of the scheme they still drew opponents vocally expressing their disdain. Folks, you are witnessing a classic example of genuine dissent with the government's policies and you are witnessing that in the media ratings. With Fox News outdrawing CNN, HLN, MSNBC, and even CBS News, you can tell that people from all sides of the ideological debate are coming to find a news source that genuinely focuses on ALL sides of the debate, not merely the side that supports Mr Obama's administration. And certainly Democrat lawmakers and politicians are feeling the heat - for good reason. They are about to pass something that could put one-sixth of the economy under government control - a prospect that frightens and even angers Americans. The American people are angry about the destruction of their way of life - because they have seen it before in a number of other countries. And to think that America is not prone to that destruction given the state of our government, our media, our courts, and our universities, it is clear to see that none in the Establishment dare call it what it deserves to be called - authoritarianism. In fact socialised medicine has already made its ugly mark known in Massachusetts where the quality of healthcare has already declined and in Oregon where an old age pensioner was denied a medicine that could have cured her and instead offered doctor-administered homicide - a method only a Jack Kevorkian could love. This could be administered nationwide! This is striking fear and anger - and increasingly the latter - to so many Americans, including even those that supported Mr Obama, and their concerns are justified in full. They are aware of the risks that arise when government take control of anything. Government schools have turned out students with lower academic aptitudes for a number of years especially as propaganda increases in the curricula, and government control of passenger rail service has led to practical destruction of that type of transport in this country. And now that the government want to take over such a huge segment of our economy there is of course reasonable concern about such a methodology. This is what has driven we the people back to our revolutionary roots - our REAL revolutionary roots set in the 1770s. And this is why the Democrat establishment are about to be turned on their head. If you thought America turned right in 1994, or in 2002, or in 1980, or even in the 1950s, just wait. You are about to see such a sharp turn to the right in this country...and you will be nervous at first but you must understand that these are the values that foster freedom and independence. These are the times that define who people at the end of the first decade of the third millenium in the Years of our Lord are...and what really matters most to them. Materialism will still be a part of our lives but freedom will return to the focal point. And people like you and me are making the stand against oversized government - and this will continue to resonate through the next fourteen months before the next Congressional elections. WHY NOT LET MR OBAMA SPEAK TO THE YOUNG FOLKS ANYWAY? On one side, the prospect of the Media's President, Mr Obama, speaking via video to the nation's schoolchildren appears as just a relatively monumental event where he is encouraging the children in their education efforts. On the other side, some folks see him as possibly going political and projecting his own left-of-centre agenda. But a star-studded preview video has drawn attention, with one celeb kissing his biceps as he recites Mr Obama's name. And then there were the accompanying printed materials containing questions including one that initially asked how the students could better serve him; that has since been replaced by a more toned-down, neutral question. Insofar as I can see Mr Obama certainly is well-intentioned to speak to the students; I would say let him. Of course it would mean so much more if he would do it at a public school in person but then again the man would never be able to attend to all of those schools even if he were able to serve eight years! And as for the schools refusing to air the speech, that is their prerogative, and in many cases it presents a conflict with the student's schedules. Maybe it is better they don't hear Mr Obama's speech, however, it is bet to let him speak his piece, understanding that he will be picked apart by his ideological challengers. And some of those ideological challengers could well be his intended audience - schoolchildren themselves who might pick up on nuances in his speech that others might not. But I would say that whomever will may see his speech - and certainly healthy discussion is very necessary. I myself have some reservations about this in principle but if he sees fit to deliver this sort of speech, why not? ONE HELL OF A CROSS FOR A WHITE HOUSE TSAR TO BEAR In recent days we have come to learn more and more about a controversial figure who was involved in a controversial movement regarding the aftermath of the 11 September attacks. Now to his credit - on the surface anyway - he is working toward establishing more jobs in environmentally-friendly sectors in his White House office. But he has received more attention for his controversial comments about Republicans and the 11 September attacks as well as racist views - comments rooted in irrational partisan hatred - than for his ecologically-targeted goals and efforts. And now that some Republicans are calling for his termination we can clearly see that he may have carried too much baggage in his hands. And now that he has made his own bed with this controversy, he sleeps in it, because the very defence that Mr Obama and his administration officials are offering, may be his own undoing in time. Though he is likely to retain his position,Van Jones will unfortunately bear the scorn that most Americans will assign the administration and anyone else associated with Mr Obama.
ON A BLOG NOTE...Yesterday's special blog from the None Dare Call It Treason series has unfortunately taken a toll on my efforts, but not without good reason, as we are seeing so many of the events detailed four-and-a-half decades ago by John A Stormer being echoed today in stereophonic magnification. We are seeing how today's government are acting and we are indeed experiencing some fear but also some anger - and some bravery to change. Looks like Mr Obama's method, Yes We Can, is about to come to hold a new meaning - and work against him in too many ways to note here.

This is the second volume of my analysis of John A Stormer's 1964 Liberty Bell Press book, None Dare Call It Treason, a profoundly insightful book on the innerworkings of the Communist threat that loomed over the United States at the time and looms even more strongly today, as this analysis also covers the contemporary parallels of the Communists of the 1960s with American society in the 2000s. In the second chapter of the book, Brother Stormer explained how Communism came about and how we started facing the threat of big government.BROTHER STORMER EXPLAINS THE ORIGINS OF COMMUNISM Communists everywhere support every revolutionary movement against the existing political and social order of things. The communists disdain to conceal their aims. Let the ruling classes tremble at a Communist revolution. The proletarians have nothing to lose but their chains. They have a world to win. Working men of all countries, unite!
--- Karl Marx, The Communist Manifesto
As John A Stormer properly noted in his landmark 1964 book, None Dare Call It Treason, the story of Communism is a story of contradictions. And as we can clearly see from the current government of Mr Obama, Ms Pelosi, and Mr Reid, and their allies, the current government in Washington are laden with contradictions in the things they say and the things they do. The realist will recognise that the true source of Communism is not the factories and fields of the working class but the colleges and universities and institutes of thought and intellect, and this has been proven clear and true time after time after time after time. As Brother Stormer correctly indicates, "Communism is commonly believed to rise out of poverty, yet Fidel Castro was a product, not of the cane fields of Cuba but the halls of Havana University." We also learn that Jozef Stalin became Communist whilst studying for priesthood at a Russian Orthodox seminary; he never was a simple peasant rebelling at the oppression of the Tsar. Of interesting note, Mr Stalin was actually expelled from seminary for denying the existence of God but was later readmitted. And guess where Cheddi Jagan, the Communist premier of British Guiana, learnt about and adopted Communism? Not in the plantations of the British colony but as a dental student at Chicago's Northwestern University. (Wonder if Mr Obama ever read some of his material about politics.) Harvard Law School was found to be the location of the first Communist spy ring - and in that ring contained officials who came from Harvard Law, specifically Alger Hiss, Nathan Witt, Harry Dexter White, Lee Pressman, John Abt, and Lauchlin Currie. Another name that will sound familiar: Barack Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review. Now mind you not all Harvard Law graduates become Communists but you must think about the type of folks that congregate in our nation's institutions of higher learning - which Michael Savage has called "institutions of lower living" and it is easy to see why. Cubans living before Mr Castro's regime began enjoyed a much higher standard of living than Cubans living there today. Zimbabweans living there today enjoy an extremely low standard of living thanks to Robert Mugabe's failed policies which demonise White farmers for the sake of Black natives. The same was not the case in 1980 when Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia, gained independence and was a net exporter of food. At that time Brother Stormer also referenced a Senate Internal Subcommittee Handbook For Americans which shows a clear connexion between wealth and communist membership. The committee showed very clearly the amount of Hollywood actors producers and directors in the Communist Party; there is a clear connexion between today's Hollywoodland crowd and the Democrat Party. Additionally, many areas considered to be wealthy states - California, New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut - have proven concentrations of Democrats as well as Communists - the latter of which likely infiltrated the former during the 70s 80s 90s and 2000s. Even the Communist Party USA affirmed in their own publication, Political Affairs, in February 1946, that 71 percent of the party's members in New York City proper consisted of professionals, housewives, and white collar labourers. Brother Stormer indicated that "Communism is a disease of the intellect. It promises universal brotherhood, peace and prosperity to lure humanitarians and idealists into participating in a conspiracy which gains power through deceit and deception and stays in power with brute force". Sound familiar? It does to me --- that sums up not only the recent presidential campaign of Mr Obama but also the two campaigns of that OTHER media-selected puppet - Mr Clinton. It shows just how far to the left the Democrat Party have been driven in recent decades. He also indicated that "Communism promises Utopia. It has delivered mass starvation, poverty, and police state terror to its own people and promoted world-wide strife and hatred by pitting race against race, class against class, and religion against religion." Very familiar sounding in so many ways: Activist judges promote "affirmative action" - a form of racism - by patronising Blacks, Hispanics (like myself), Native Americans (like myself), Asians, Middle Easterners, and Pacific Islanders - all at the expense of Whites. They promote racism by demonising Whites as well. This is parallel to that which has been practised in Zimbabwe, in apartheid era South Africa, and certainly in the Nazi Empire under Adolf Hitler. Additionally, there are Marxist connexions to the radical movements in the name of homosexuals, Hispanics, Asians, Muslims, and even women. Women's liberation movements took on a more left-of-centre bent in the 1970s - this following the 1960s equity feminists seeking equal pay for equal work. Brother Stormer indicated that "treason, terror, torture, and Moscow-directed wars of "national liberation"" spread communist "values" around the world - including "brotherhood, peace, and social justice". He also called Communism a "conspiracy in which hate-driven men participate" but "not a philosophy in which intellectually honest men can believe in for long". You can clearly see what he meant with the irrational partisan hatred against the last popularly-elected president, the younger Mr Bush, and his administration who worked hard to prevent further terror attacks on American soil in the wake of the tragedy of 11 September 2001, the anniversay of which is about a week away from this writing. Now as for a war on American soil, that was not necessarily driven by Moscow, although Soviets did work clandestinely to recruit Americans and the same work is carried on by organisations like World Can't Wait, Socialist Workers Party, and WSWS. These outfits are a menace to your freedom and a disgrace to this country. Vladimir Lenin affirmed that in his 1902 writing, What Is To Be Done, he called for the Communist Party to engage in conspiracy wherever possible so other conditions would have to conform to it. Few Communists ever achieve the leadership posts as a result - which appears almost a carbon copy of reality in today's Democrat Party and certainly their leadership. When Czechoslovak Colonel Frantisek Tisler defected to the United States in 1959 to seek permanent asylum, he told the House Committee On Un-American Activities that he was disillusioned from practical Communism - Communism as practised by the Czechoslovak government - which he found to be far different from theoretical Communism. He noted where officers in his former army frequently took advantage of their positions in order to obtain job security and personal advantages - subsequently ruining his faith in Marxism and Leninism. He admitted to continuing for a decade after his discovery as a student officer of what he had observed as he rose to a high rank within the Communist Party. And this brings about an important question: How is it that Communism traps a student intellectual into conspiracy, conformity, and obedience, corrupted to believe that "slavery" is "freedom", "dictatorship" is "democracy", and that "war" is "peace"? George Orwell knew well enough from his own firsthand experience as a Communist that he actually became an ANTIcommunist when he learnt the bitter reality from observing it practised in the Soviet Union that he wrote two of the greatest books in history. Karl Marx referred to something called dialectical materialism by compounding theories that connected all the contradictions. As a Philosophy doctorate - he was obviously an intellectual from the university instead of a labourer - he was not an original thinker: He belonded Hegel's theory that everything in nature is in a state of constant conflict with Feuerbach's atheistic materialism. He calls all living things "products of accumulated accidents" whilst ignoring the Creator of all those things that produced the first matter then made it move in such an orderly way - that First Mover and Great Planner which we know as our Creator - God. He derisively divided mankind into two classes, the bourgeoisie (propertied) who were seen as degenerates and the proletariat (unpropertied wage earners) who were seen as progressives. Mr Marx defined "progress" as the destruction of the bourgeoisie as the culmination of constant class warfare. But the reality is that Marxists themselves wage class warfare as they accuse conservatives and libertarians and other nonbelievers in Marxism of doing the same thing. But today's Democrats teach the same basic principles that Communists taught. You could even replace "Communists" and "socialists" and "Marxists" with "Democrats" and it would practically make perfect sense for the way things currently are in America. Brother Stormer ALSO explained how the Communists, starting with Karl Marx, condemned the existence of God, morality, the Ten Commandments, and the Sermon on the Mount. He explained how their only connexion to the concept of morality or correctness is their connexion to the activities that advance the cause of socialism, and that Mr Marx believed that lying, cheating, stealing, and even killing is justified if it advances the cause of socialism. Mr Marx also believed that mankind was not subject to free will, but merely matter in motion. Considering how some of us act today he might well have had a point, especially if he were to come here today. He believed in Darwin's flawed theory of evolution, claiming man was an "economically determined animal", and believed that economic capitalism was the most dangerous threat to mankind. AT the time, Europe had varying degrees of free enterprise, feudalism, and mercantilism, and Mr Marx was against capitalism, calling for its destruction and claiming that history and destiny would aid that effort for the necessity of change. (Hmm...sounds very familiar..."Yes We Can" anyone?) Mr Marx would also advocate that the dictatorship under socialism would then implement communism - and that sounds eerily familiar to the views of those in Mr Obama's cabinet, replete with outspoken Marxists, like Van Jones, an environazi neoliberal who is now the current Special Advisor for Green Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality - and has exhibited racist views in the past. Mr Marx claimed that the elimination of "material needs of man" would create also eliminate greed, profiteering, avarice, and hate and that the State would collapse, with no need for laws or a police force, and heaven would result, as each would desire to receive only according to his needs yet work according to his ability. Now how familiar does that sound? This is a concept commonly taught in so many public schools and universities. This is also promoted by the Democrats of today in their speeches - including Mr Obama himself. Mr Marx likened capitalism and freedom to a "poison", even calling for those who believed in them to be exterminated - yet did not consider it murder because it helped further the cause of communism - the root of a common phrase from Democrats and other liberals of today - "the ends justify the means". Sounds like something I have heard Ms Pelosi say a few times... Brother Stormer further explained how the Communists sought to appeal to the young - and condemn anyone over 30 years of age - thus practising ageism. They also believed that those who believed in God and in man's responsibility for his own life and actions could be slaughtered like animals in concentration camps or worked to death in brothels or slave labour camps - not unlike the experience of those captured in the Soviet Union that were against Communism, or for that matter any Soviet bloc country or even Red China or North Korea of today. He even recalled a macabre eulogy by Gus Hall at a 1961 funeral, where Mr Hall, then the General Secretary of Communist Party USA, dreamt of "the hour when the last Congressman is strangled to death on the guts of the last preacher - and since the Christians love to sing about the blood why not give them a little of it". Brother Stormer also gave us some biographical information about Mr Marx, who was born Jewish but whose family adopted Protestant Christianity. His early radicalism interrupted his education several times as he was excluded from a number of universities. He also toured Europe, associating with so-called "free thinkers" including revolutionaries. The Communist Manifesto - cowritten with his friend Friedrich Engels - was published before his 30th birthday and Das Kapital was first published before he reached 50. He married and produced six children, but because he was formulating theories to "uplift the downtrodden" so much that he never even accepted a job to support the family, not only did three of his children die in infancy from starvation, but two committed suicide, leaving only one who survived to adulthood. His selfishness carried over to a £160 (then roughly $500) gift that came from an uncle in Germany - which went to a two-month drinking spree with intellectuals on the continent. His penniless wife, abandoned with their infants, was evicted from their London flat. At that time only the radical fringe even bothered accepting his views - and Mr Engels was Mr Marx' primary source of income, with his funeral being attended by exactly six people. Clearly the irresponsible ways of Mr Marx ruined his character in life - and there is no question that some Democrats appear close to that type of character as events in recent decades have shown us. Brother Stormer also explained the establishment of Fabianism in Britain - which may well have formed the roots of some of the socialist programmes in place in that country today, including the National Healthcare Service. At the same time British intellectuals formed the Fabian society, including the great author George Bernard Shaw, who in 1901 wrote in his treatise, Who I Am, What I Think, explained that the labourer respected the property owner and wanted that part in his life, showing that the upper class were clearly the revolutionary element and the labourer more conservative. He may well have a point, as we have seen huge numbers of celebrities supporting Democrat candidates and liberal causes in modern society. Mr Shaw believed that indoctrinating the young scholars was the best method for achieving Mr Marx' dream, with the intellectuals acquiring power and influence in official and unofficial power and opinion outfits of the world, quietly establishing one-world socialism. Mr Shaw was a prophet in himself, predicting how liberalism would gain steam in the United States in the later decades of the 20th century, and would be astonished at how America appears today, with a liberal establishment in goverment, the press, the courts, and the schools and colleges but with a conservative populace. The problem with Mr Shaw's and Mr Marx' vision is the freedom-loving Americans have now risen and awakened to the ugly reality of socialism that has been force-fed to them and their families in schools, in the media, in the courts, and certainly in government policies. And that has led to growing numbers of Americans raising hell at town hall meetings and in the streets and parks as well. Mr Shaw talked about the "inevitably of gradualism". In modern times it has been known as incrementalism, the practise of government slowly gaining more and more control till they have achieved a soft tyranny then start moving toward a hard tyranny. This was almost implemented in Holland where the people are now turning more conservative; matter of fact Europeans have turned increasingly conservative as recent elections indicate. They have turned away from progressive socialism and now the same has begun to happen in the United States given the state of Democrat leadership today, especially as it is dominated by Marxist thought. Mr Shaw also called for being "forcibly fed, clothed, lodged, taught, and employed whether you liked it or not". Putting all of the government's eggs into one basket is a terrible idea and has led to failure before. Look at all the Eastern bloc countries that had to really work with the new realities of freedom, with their economies having to change, and new ideologies also came into effect. Other members of the Fabians established the London School Of Economics, and one key name connected to that institute, John Maynard Keynes, has seen his impact felt across the globe in terms of economic thought. His left-of-centre views have become a part of a number of economic policies the world over. And though the Fabians had never achieved numbers more than 3000 their influence and power has been disproportionate to their actual numbers - and when we look at the radical socialists in the Democrat party being in a fringe minority yet we see so many of their ilk in power in that party we can clearly see a similar disproportionate grasp of power by those irrational partisans. In the 1920s Fabians were a part of Labour MP Ramsey MacDonald's cabinet when he was prime minister. Sidney Webb was another Fabian who came to America in 1888 and the next year Harvard were amongst the first schools circulating his book, Socialism In England. Looks like we have a recurring theme... By 1905 American Fabians had established the Intercollegiate Socialist Society as well as the Rand School of Social Science in New York. Chapters of the Society were quickly founded in Columbia, New York University, Princeton, Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania. Sound familiar to you? Some of those sound familiar to me as I know that some of those are known for left-of-centre thinking in their agendae...er, curricula. A more direct connexion to the Democrats, however, comes from the establishment of the Bolsheviks by Russian revolutionary and Marxist student Nikolai Lenin. He would go on to develop plans for organising Communists along conspiratorial lines. "The only serious organisational principle the active workers of our movement can accept is strict secrecy, strict selection of members, and the training of professional revolutionaries." Now if you replace "movement" with the word "party" not only do you have a fair idea of how today's Democrats work but you can even replace "professional revolutionaries" with "community organisers" given the advent of Mr Obama's campaign and media-imposed regime. You would also see the parallels between the Bolsheviks of 100 years ago and the Democrats of today in their methodologies, using illegal methods in addition to legal methods - as some of Mr Obama's policies along with those of his acolytes have come in violation of the law and even in violation of the United States Constitution. When Mr Lenin addressed labourers he advised his followers "to agree to any and every sacrifice and even if need be to resort to all sorts of devices manoeuvres and illegal methods, to evasion and subterfuge, in order to penetrate the trade unions, to remain in them, and to carry on Communist work in them at all costs." And now that they have pretty much achieved that dynamic the Leftists could easily be described a little differently now. If we changed "the trade unions" with "every aspect of American life" and "Communist" with "Democrat" we would be seeing the exact picture of today's America. Mr Stalin himself explained how Mr Lenin's theory would work for China in a book he wrote that would become the foundation of the Communist Chinese in their establishment of Red China's bastardised government at Peking in 1949. He noted that "only by exerting the most effort and by necessarily thoroughly carefully attentively and skillfully taking advantage of" any and all antagonism between classes, between races, between ethnic groups, even between homosexuals and heterosexuals. That, as Brother Stormer pointed out, was how the Castro regime came to be in Cuba: Part of his rise to power was Mr Castro's exploitation of the people's distaste with Mr Batista, the last non-Communist leader in that country. Subsequently Mr Castro got enough backing to steal power from the people - and to a lesser extent that marks not only how Mr Obama got into office but also how Mr Clinton got into office. Brother Stormer also explained how the fellow travellers - the common term for Communists and other leftists - were already aiding the communist cause by infiltrating liberal movements, the press, and other fonts of opinion to pit Americans against other Americans - this in effort to promote a 5 December 1960 special Moscow Manifesto ordering the destruction of the growing free world anticommunist movement. The Bolsheviks would grow and return to London in 1907 with a Fabian, Mr MacDonald, later the British prime minister himself, arranging to use an East End church. An American soap manufacturer, Joseph Fels, paid £3000 for the conference. Those 17 followers would grow to 40000 in 10 years - when they would undermine and seize control of the Democrat Socialist Republic established by Kerensky when the Tsar fell. The Fabians came to abhor the aggressive nature of communism but admitted they could ill attack their aims because the communist creed also forms their beliefs. If anything they have come to praise the successes of Communism, as Mr Shaw did in a 1931 trip to the Soviet Union. He expressed admiration of Mr Lenin and Mr Stalin for their use of "stealth, intrigue, subversion, and the deception of never calling socialism by its right name". Eleanor Roosevelt came to the defence of Alger Hiss and Lauchlin Currie in her My Day column on 16 August 1948. Mr Hiss denied participation in a Soviet spy ring and subsequently served five years in a federal penitentiary. Mr Currie fled the United States instead of answering questions about his activities. Before Mr Lenin died in 1924 he formulated a plan for world domination: "First we will take Eastern Europe then the masses of Asia then we will encircle the United States which will be the last bastion of capitalism. We will not have to attack. It will fall like an overripe fruit in our hands." Considering how the American media and the fringe leftists that sympathise with the Communists regard America today, they would think we are overripe for the picking. However, there are some major problems with his thinking. Europeans today are resisting socialism and turning more conservative. Asians are split with Japan, South Korea, Free China (AKA Taiwan), Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India on one side, with Red China, North Korea, Viet Nam, and Burma on another side - and terrorists trying to tear into both. Admittedly the Communists have made serious inroads into Latin America as we can see with the examples of Mr Chavez in Venezuela, Mr Morales in Bolivia, Mr Ortega in Nicaragua, and Mr Zelaya in Honduras. However, there is a great resurgence of anticommunist values in the States and we have been witnessing that very clearly in recent weeks with certain political issues in place. The plain and simple is America is still at grave risk, especially considering that such patently neosocialist schemes have been allowed to pervade American thought and institutions. However, Americans have a tradition of resisting such dangerous attitudes, as we have demonstrated several times in the past. We resisted them in the 1960s even with Jack Kennedy in the White House. We resisted them in the late 1960s even with strong socialist movements on college and university campuses. We resisted them in the 1980s with a strong conservative president in Ronald Reagan. We even resisted them in the 1930s and 1940s with Mr Roosevelt's four-term tenure. We will resist them again even with Mr Obama in the White House, Ms Pelosi as House Speaker, and Mr Reid as Senate Majority Leader - and as was the case in those other examples, we the people will - AND MUST - prevail - once again. We have a tradition of coming out like Rocky Balboa in the last round to fight back and knock down the opponent, whether it is Apollo Creed or Ivan Drago. And this time it looks like the Democrat leadership and their allies are the role of Ivan Drago - who has no chance in hell of knocking out all-American Rocky Balboa.

EMERGENCY POWER TO DISCONNECT YOU AND ME FROM THE INTERNET!? With the proposal of the "Cybersecurity Act of 2009" we are facing the prospect of a more Cuba-like society. That's because as is the law in Cuba - that private internet access is essentially forbidden - in event of a nominal "emergency" the government could commandeer internet access and cut off "nongovernmental" computers through "amorphous powers" over private users like you and me. And if it were not bad enough that the FCC under the administration of Mr Obama already have enough powers to force untenable and unreasonable demands on broadcasters that would force unpopular programming and policies as a condition of continued operation - this new scheme has a dangerous prospect for cramping not only the style but also the freedom of Americans. And this is where it comes back to - - - we are at risk of being denied access because of a bureaucrat's arbitrary determination of "emergency", completely interfering with our freedom of speech as well as our freedom to petition for redress of grievances, our freedom to privacy, and our freedoms as citizens thereof - right off the bat this bill would violate three Constitutional amendments and we need to stand up and say NO to Senate Bill 773. I would strongly suggest you go to http://www.congress.org and find out who your Senator is - and tell him or her to say NO to S773 because this is tantamount to tyranny, limiting our sources of information simply because of an arbitrary declaration. Don't let's let Cuba and Venezuela be repeated here in the United States! IS MR OBAMA ORGANISING A PERSONAL ARMY? "We’re not looking for a fight...That will come later, after we have an army.”
Were those words from Chris DeHaven at an organising drive in Alabama an ominous sign of things to come? Word has erupted that certain remnants of Mr Obama's campaign for President from last year are still in operation, as they are in Iowa, and a number of college students and others are being actively recruited to promote his agenda in the public square of ideas. Now of course some people will raise suspicions about the nature of this particular article, and I have to admit that this WILL draw some suspicion. Then again, I have learnt that sometimes when someone says something that scares the hell out of most folks, it's important to take a look at what that person is saying, think carefully, and then make an effort to understand the logic behind that, as it might end up making more sense than one thinks. I came to a shocking conclusion in early 2001 when then-New Hampshire State Legislator Tom Alciere (R-Nashua) raised suspicion over the police, calling for people who see them acting out of line to kill rogue policemen if the citizen thought he was in grave danger from their abuses. I realised that with a fraction of a percentage of one percent of policemen abusing their powers he might well have a point with regard to cases involving suspicion of drugs offences - and was able to find a corollary as to how that would apply to police brutality particularly as applied in certain controversial cases in New York and Los Angeles (Abner Louima, Amadou Diallo, Rodney King, etc) - and even communicated with him about that - and he replied back with appreciation of my input and strong condemnation of the state's Republicans - and the controversy drove him to resign shortly after taking the office he had just won. He has my respect for daring to challenge the status quo on something so fundamental... And it may well apply here that as Mr Obama's efforts appear more staged than those of his opposition, with healthcare debates taking front and centre stage in this affair, as more and more Americans, Democrat and Republican alike, see their freedoms being eroded by government proposals, these suspicions about his behind-the-scenes efforts warrant greater examination. This is reflected in the ambitious goal of Democrats to organise some 1000 town hall meetings on the matter of healthcare. Now naturally there are great criticisms of those opposed to Mr Obama's efforts, and their voices ring loudly and clearly in the reportage of most broadcast networks and major newspapers. This is clearly reflected in ABC and NBC refusing to air advertisements critical of Mr Obama's healthcare scheme - yet their onesided reportage in favour of the scheme exposes their true colours. This is further shown in a reflection of Democrats apparently being more eager to push through Mr Obama's healthcare scheme, in the name of the late Massachusetts Senator, Mr Kennedy. (More about him later.) But if indeed Democrat interests are organising an army to force through his agenda irrespective of popular opinion - they will find a formidable and very vocal bulwark in the American people, many of whom are thinking in terms of 1776 instead of terms of 1984, not merely raising hell, but also making active inroads even with Democrats as well as Republicans, to bring about bipartisan opposition not only to the healthcare scheme but also to the agenda in general. AFTER KIDNAP VICTIM DISCOVERED, A MURDER PROBE? In the wake of the discovery of long-missing Jaycee Dugard in California - who was found to have had two children with her kidnapper and kept imprisoned in tents in his back garden - the young woman's former prison has now become the potential focus of a probe regarding missing prostitutes - can you say a possible murder scene? Miss Dugard's role started in 1991 when as she was running to catch a bus a woman snatched the then-11-year-old off the streets and her husband drove off. That couple are Phillip and Nancy Garrido - both now in their 50s - and kept a very young Miss Dugard as a sex slave in a disturbing means of confinenment hidden by tarps and equipped with an outhouse and a shower. The young girl was raped twice during her confinement, giving birth to two girls by Mr Garrido before she was 20 years of age, one of them at age 14. And that is just the surface of the horrors of Miss Dugard's enslavement for multiple sexual violations committed by Mr Garrido, as those young girls never attended school or a doctor's office. Their total isolation was contrasted with his appearances at a local scrapheap where he claimed to be starting a new church, and even appeared at a local university to preach the gospel in his own way, bringing Miss Dugard and her two daughters with him. And that was where the cookie began to crumble for the Garridos. Additionally details have surfaced that the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office had missed clues that could have led to Miss Dugard's recovery in 2006. Clearly this infamous case has been laid bare and the psychological horrors of a kidnapping and torturous imprisonment. What extreme rage has arisen at the discovery of the disgusting conditions those young women were kept in all their lives - it is easy to see the outrage of this popular commentator! There is no question that most folks are going to want the strongest punishment possible for the Garridos - and that even then it would be too humane for what they really deserve. I certainly cannot argue that those two deserve to be locked away for the rest of their lives and in similar conditions to what their victims suffered, a literal case of being held "under the jail" as it were? They both deserve to spend the rest of their lives without chance of parole - especially given that Mr Garrido was already on probation for a very old rape and kidnap charge. And these paedophilia charges as well as the violent rape of a minor girl clearly underscore the need never to allow those walking talking stinking rotting piles of faeces back into organised society ever again. CELEBRITY DJ ADAM GOLDBERG PASSES AWAY IN NEW YORK AGED 36 Last year, Adam Goldberg (AKA DJ AM) survived a horrific aeroplane crash which also involved rock musician Travis Barker in South Carolina. And apparently prescription painkillers were speculated as something he was dependent upon when he was found dead in his New York apartment yesterday night. If that is the case - as one of his friends informed Fox News - then we may well have had at least TWO celebrity deaths attributable to prescription drugs - right behind that of Michael Jackson, whose death has now been ruled a homicide. Mr Goldberg was remarkably frank and earnest about his past drugs abuse and had defeated previous addictions. He was also well-known for some of his relationships with celebrities like Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore. Foul play has been ruled out by paramedics who arrived on the scene late in the afternoon to find an unresponsive Mr Goldberg who could very well have been addicted to painkillers, much as others have been, like talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh, who admitted that his personal self-medication instead of seeking surgery for a neck problem - apparently a pilonidial cyst had deferred him from military service in the Viet Nam Conflict - led to his own addiction to prescription drugs and subsequently to his deafness - and given his past addictions to drugs, who knows what physical matters he could have suffered with his increased drugs dependency. That by itself DOES NOT make Mr Goldberg a worse man nor does it diminish his achievements - he is merely a man who had trouble coping with pain arising from complications linked to the aeroplane crash he survived last year. This was also a problem for the newly-deceased senior senator from Massachusetts, Mr Kennedy, who survived a 1964 aeroplane crash near Boston himself, and subsequently took a number of drugs to cope with the constant pain. (More about him later.) His brother, the thirty-fifth President, ALSO had to deal with excruciating back pain from injuries suffered in World War II. So if prescription drugs played a factor in the death of Mr Goldberg, maybe he could have sought better care and better pain management solutions for his extenuating problems. But make no mistake about it, he will be fondly remembered for his remixes and his shows in life. IN MEMORIAM: EDWARD MOORE KENNEDY, US SENATE (D-MASSACHUSETTS) 22_02_1932-25_08_2009 Let's face it, I did not agree with everything that Edward Moore Kennedy did with his lengthy Senate career - a job that would last more than half his life. I did not agree with his support for abortion on demand, I did not agree with his advocacy of a nationalised healthcare system, I did not agree with his efforts in collabourating with Mr Andropov in 1982 and 1983 to undermine Mr Reagan's efforts to arm America more effectively, I did not agree with his generally left-of-centre policies. As a self-professed liberal, he certainly did not earn any favour from me on most of his policies. However sometimes Mr Kennedy would get it right, such as joining in on the No Child Left Behind Act of the early 2000s or even the Civil Rights Act and the Voter Rights Act of the 1960s - all of which were heavily supported by Republicans. But for all his great accomplishments in the United States Senate Mr Kennedy fell far short of the great works and characters of his older brothers Jack and Bobby. Mr Kennedy, commonly referred to as "Teddy" or "Ted", would serve as an assistant prosecutor in County Suffolk (MA) before running for Jack's unexpired term as Senator in 1962, and he would consequently live up to his first campaign slogan, He Can Do More. Mr Kennedy would serve almost 47 years - eight terms altogether; very few senators have served that long (examples include Mr Byrd in West Virginia and the late Mr Thurmond in South Carolina). There is no question that he would suffer through significant tragedies, such as the assassination of Jack in 1963 and Bobby in 1968, and certainly he had his own personal problems with his first wife, Joan, but then again he brought on some problems of his own between his 1969 abandonment of Mary Jo Kopechne after a car accident at Chappaquiddick and his long tradition of drinking and carousing. However, his second wife, Victoria, did set down some discipline and brought the family in line. In his later years ailments would take their toll on Mr Kennedy, most notably brain cancer, which afflicted him for the last one-and-a-half years of his life. He would during this time shift the dynamic of the 2008 Presidential race when he announced his support for Mr Obama instead of Mrs Clinton as had been the case with the rest of the family. He put forth a brave face until he was no longer well enough to come back into the public - including missing his sister's funeral only two weeks before he passed away himself. Whether you thought he was a great statesman or a grotesque SOB or somewhere in between, you have to admit that Edward Moore Kennedy, in his 77 years, six months, and three days on this Earth left quite the impact on the political scene, for better or for worse. REQUIEM FOR OUR STRONG AND SEXY "SIREN" After counting inventory at the first of two stores in Little Rock this week, my fellow employees and I checked out of a rather rough-looking motel along the I-430, this even for the chain it is a part of, and into a rather nice hotel only about a mile away. To me this was the equivalent of moving from Spanish Harlem to Central Park West in Manhattan - New York City. And once I got into my room - a very well-appointed suite that had almost separate sitting and sleeping rooms with a refrigerator (rendering my cooler all but useless) and a microwave and even a small sink - I turned on the telly, finding Fox News, couldn't find either of the local RTV stations, but did happen upon an interesting report on E!, True Hollywood Stories - Female Bodybuilders - and proceeded to watch the programme. I would watch bodybuilders past and present speak of their experiences in the art, and see reports about those from the past. When I first heard Shelley Beattie being spoken of in past tense, I wondered if that would mean that she was no longer with us. But from the report I would learn so much more about her life - how she had gotten into the medicine cabinet and eaten so many aspirins as a toddler that it did great damage to her hearing, how she had felt like an outcast growing up as a result, how she found athletics as a teenager, how she trained hard to become a champion bodybuilder, how she would earn acclaim as a professional bodybuilder, even how she would earn her role on American Gladiators as "Siren"...and then some. I would also learn about how she would deal with drugs abuse and depression and yet how she would also wind up working with physically and mentally disabled folks, seeing this sandy-haired muscular sex symbol going through so much hell feeling out of place because of her physical appearance as well as her disability. Obviously this is a person who needed more faith in her life, and for all her achievements could have achieved so much more. But what she achieved in a scant four decades on this Earth is enough for a seemingly rich full life of experiences in so many ways. This beautiful creature who would hang herself six weeks into 2008 had experienced great acclaim from the studio audiences on American Gladiators - they would stomp and make a strong enough racket she could feel the vibrations. The referees would give her an extra signal that cost her only a fraction of a second but would not be enough to knock her off her best performance. And then there was her clothing line, Sign Wear, which included the sign for the phrase "I love you" - which she would commonly sign to her audiences. I thought long and hard about how much heartache she had gone through in her life and how saddening it was when she left this world but now must realise that she is no longer suffering. At least she is in a better place now...

THE IRONY OF MR OBAMA'S SPEECH TO THE VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS
On Monday, the Media's President, Mr Obama, spoke at a convention for the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Phoenix. But I noticed some things, and if you watched Mr Obama's speech, chances are you also noticed the following ironies in his speech especially as they relate to his ideology. Take for instance Mr Obama's acknowledgement of the safety and security of the American people because of the past sacrifices of our war veterans. He vowed to use forces as needed to protect America, claimed responsibility and a "sound strategy" about sending our troops into harm's way "only when necessary" and keeping them the best in the world. Then why is he calling for cutting the defence budget? This is a typical strategy of the Democrats, to cut corners with the military, especially when you consider how Mr Clinton along with the Democrat Congress of 1993-4 also moved to gut funding for our armed forces, eventually getting to the point where aeroplanes were being cannibalised. Mr Obama's proposals are largely politicised in nature. However, one case where Mr Obama deserves credit is his acknowledgement of the People's President, Mr McCain, who has worked hard to eradicate wasteful spending in the DoD. So on this one Mr Obama will need guidance - not from any Democrat, but from Mr McCain - and apply his methods toward his own budget. This means no more shipping hammers 10000mi and across two continents and an ocean - everything should be locally sourced. Perhaps dedicated fuel depots in each state as well as local sourcing for perishables would be preferred to the methods currently in place. Local growers could be located for food for the troops on base or at least in each state. Then there is the matter of his acknowledgement of his maternal grandfather and an uncle being amongst those having served in combat to halt fascism - and yet Mr Obama is seeking to impose it with his myriad tsars and policies and diktats designed to shortcircuit our liberties and concentrate that kind of power in the hands of the central government. Add to that his boasts of helping Afghan troops with vehicles designed ostensibly to save their lives and a greater commitment to defeating terrorist gangs like AlQaeda against his moves to close the Guantanamo Bay detention centre in favour of moving terror suspects onto American soil, such as a Massachusetts prison, his cronies' attempts to prosecute those who drafted policies that protected Americans after the worst-ever terrorist attack on American soil, and his arbitrary setting of timelines to remove troops from Iraq, and you begin to see even more duplicity in Mr Obama's words. That duplicity is further assessed in his open defaecation on the memories of family members and other veterans killed in action with his sacrilegious statements against the War On Terror, even to the point of devising a Newspeak term (read 1984 by George Orwell to fully understand that term), and promoting more government control over more aspects of our lives, such as the efforts to sabotage America's healthcare system. Mr Obama did claim that lobbyists were behind expensive weapons not needed, which leads to the one true bright spot on his speech: At least he understands that our defence budget needs to be spent with a modicum of efficiency. However that cannot make up enough for his blasphemies against our military and those who served so readily. Nor can it make up for his naivete as shown in his claim that we need to adapt to a "post-Cold War world". But the Cold War has changed, with Communism moving onto American soil and manifesting itself in certain government policies as Islamonazism has replaced Communism as a major threat on the global stage, though Communism is making a comeback in some Latin American and African countries. So in a sense the (barely) Cold War, in addition to taking an ideological bent - one aimed more toward another form of totalitarianism - has also incorporated religious aspects. And now Mr Obama has promoted the GI Bill as well as expanding medical care at Veterans Administration, seeking to reduce homelessness amongst veterans (calling for "zero tolerance" in that area), and pledgling to eliminate delays in military medical care including a privately-secured healthcare records scheme for vets - all this in the face of a surging deficit greater than that of the previous 42 presidents COMBINED!? All of those are indeed noble concepts but they may not carry over well unless you reduce spending in the so-called "entitlement" areas to offset this new spending...don't expect that one to carry over either! And the greatest irony of all is Mr Obama preaches reverence for the United States military veterans - yet then his actions show contempt for the very values they fought for. He has shown that in his quest for greater government control in ways echoed in countries like Cuba, China, Viet Nam, Zimbabwe, Burma, Iran, and to some extent Germany under Mr Hitler and the former Soviet Union. He has shown that in the dismantling of great tools designed to keep us safe. Worst of all, he has shown just how empty he really is, like a hollow chocolate rabbit at Easter, tasty on the outside without substance on the inside. We need meat and potatoes, not a hollow chocolate bunny.
MR OBAMA'S LATEST FOES ON HEALTHCARE: DEMOCRATS THEMSELVES!?
Just when you thought that things could not get more abrasive in the healthcare debate, apparently they have. And this time it is stubborn devotees to Mr Obama's healthcare proposals who are bringing even more scorn upon themselves. Whether it is California Democrat House Rep Barbara Lee's patently anti-business attitude, or her New York counterparts Anthony Weiner and Eric Massa vowing to ram this through and cut off private insurers irrespective of their constituents' thunderous roaring against the proposed scheme, you are seeing a few very ignorant Democrats vowing to carry this plan no matter what. Of course, once again, more moderate Democrats are peeling away from this - along with a few more liberal folks who wish the plan went further still. And we are seeing the heat turned up ever higher on the Democrats...including the ones who by opening their own mouths have ignited a massive firestorm against the scheme. And the so-called "netroots" have also turned up the heat, trying to drown out the vast majority screaming against the scheme - including growing numbers of old age pensioners ditching the AARP in favour of an independent organisation called 60 Plus who have seen their ranks swell in recent weeks as people dissatisfied with the AARP have torn their membership cards and slammed the leadership for real or perceived policy stances. Bill O'Reilly recently called for Mr Obama to abandon the "netroots" folks on his Fox News programme, The O'Reilly Factor. There is no doubt that this debate has made all of us look at ourselves and our neighbours around us even as we increase the volume of our distaste with the proposal. We can clearly expect that there will be serious casualties in the 2010 election - for the Democrats - as they have become imprisoned by their own ideology toward rapid advancement toward socialist policies. And Ms Boxer, Ms Feinstein, Ms McCaskill, Mr Reid, Mr Cardin, Ms Pelosi, Mr Waxman, Mr Massa, Mr Weiner, Ms Lee, and the rest of the lot have basically consigned themselves to career-ending schemes that have angered we the people beyond that which we find acceptable for such a huge chunk of our economy. The moves have the potential to ruin our healthcare system and put us at a lower standard - which is the goal of today's "progressive" Democrats. And those moves basically stand to end a lot of careers - a watershed for the Republicans is coming whether we realise it or not.
END OF THE LINE FOR MS BOXER? MS FIORINA TIGHTLIPPED BUT REGISTERS A CAMPAIGN NAME
When Carly Fiorina, a business advisor to the People's President, Mr McCain, during his Presidential campaign last year, filed "Carly For California" with the Federal Election Commission, she may have signalled her true intentions with regard to the United States Senate race for Ms Boxer's seat next year. And if this is the case then Ms Boxer has a lot to fear - especially now that protestors have turned up outside her book signings chanting VOTE BARBARA OUT! due to their extreme disgust with her policy. And why would they not be? I knew why I wanted none of her bad management skills when I was made aware of her bouncing 143 cheques on the now-defunct House Bank. I knew why I voted for Congressman Mel Levine for the United States Senate in the 1992 California Democrat primary - and Bruce Herschensohn in the general election. And now Californians are waking up to reality and they are screaming bloody murder at what they see, with Ms Boxer one of the major culprits. They could have avoided the messes made with bad representation in California all these years. Never mind her support for abortion rights or even her opposition to gun owners' rights - her general left-of-centre policies have hurt California and America as well. Her ideology has hurt her repute with her constituents - and if ever there were an opportunity for a new Senator, 2010 would be it. But now a prospective opponent has entered the scene, and if Ms Fiorina does make it onto the campaign trail, anticipate that this veteran of Hewlett Packard would be a hands-down instant hit, in ways that would rival the impact that Sarah Palin had for Republicans in last year's election. Do not be surprised to see California's first female REPUBLICAN senator.
FINALLY, THE CASH FOR CLUNKERS PROGRAMME IS SCRAPPED
A foregone conclusion has officially been established as the federal government have officially announced that this coming Monday (24 August) will be the end of the mismanaged Cash For Clunkers programme - and why not? After all, agencies have complained about the complexity of processing paperwork and reimbursement. Frankly I don't see why that programme was ever established in first place, especially seeing how the programme was not very well designed, as it did not adequately address the impact that thousands upon thousands of car owners would place upon the forecourts of those agencies. Some folks claim it was helping to subsidise foreign automakers as they competed for prospective buyers - and though the point is lost on me it is important to note that many new American cars also left the forecourts, especially compact off road vehicles like the Chevrolet Traverse. But the real problem I have with this is so many perfectly good cars were allowed to be rendered junk - and the strict regulation that mandated scrapping hurt the programme's rep. With so many folks using older cars to commute, it is important to note that scrapping these cars has limited the availability of car parts to keep those cars running, meaning their absence drives up the cost of those car parts and repairs become even more expensive. Additionally, a lot of the cars you saw being traded in were still driveable and could have been back to near new with only a few hundred dollars' worth of repairs by a competent technician. Either way this very bad plan is coming to a halt and not a moment too soon. With more than $1tr stacked high in debt already, this $3bn boondoggle was the last thing we needed to deal with in our budget. Clearly this will be looked at with the contempt that most people show the Ford Pinto and the Edsel and the Yugo.

OK so this is the story...This is actually being written on SUNDAY the 16 because of a very long workweek for me...One week ago at this hour I was ALREADY on my way to work, in fact I was just outside of Kansas City, and after that, headed off to work in Indiana... It was a rather busy week in Evansville and Jasper, the three store inventories did take some time but we got some help from local districts... I took some notes early in the week when we were staying in Evansville and I have to work with those as there was no Fox News on the TV at Dale where we stayed for the Jasper store, in the 15mi between the two we had a time zone boundary, meaning I got up at 3.00a on Friday and was basically up until 6.00a Saturday, drawing money out of an ATM after the inventory and using some of it to fuel the car and some to get dinner for myself and a fellow employee, but I WAS able to find the local RTV station, where instead of watching whatever diatribe came out of Jack Cafferty or some other chump on the Clinton Noose Nutwork (Lou Dobbs doesn't count as a chump BTW) I was able to watch ADAM-12 and Dragnet before going to the local grocery store, a fairly long walk down the old highway, but not entirely unpleasant. Two sacks of shoestring potatoes and a frozen pizza were all I needed...I already had two bottles of Sams Cola Zero Calorie leftover from Evansville which I had bought on Monday...
MR EDWARDS' MISTRESS GETS CAMPAIGN CASH!?
In another chapter of the imbroglio affecting former United States Senator John Edwards (D-NC) it has been revealed that his mistress, Rielle Hunter, in addition to showing up at his deposition with an infant, may have personally benefitted from Mr Edwards' campaign fund. Looks like Mr Edwards has dug himself a deep hole on this one, given that he is plagued with scandalous events as of late. There are suspicions that Mr Edwards bought Ms Hunter's silence. And though the original story broke with the liberal supermarket checkout queue rag, the National Enquirer, this may be one case where they may have some credibility - the stopped clock rule applies here. Mr Edwards will positively have to hang his head in shame whatever the original source was - as he has a character problem stemming from his days as an ambulance chasing sharpie who attacked a number of doctors and hospitals as a trial lawyer - bringing further shame and disgrace on that profession. A good competent 1950s lawyer would have punched this punk to a pulp, spoiling his hair and his face - and pounded some sense into the man, making him attend to his breast cancer-stricken wife, Elizabeth. And the little girl that he created with his mistress too. The man has failed to check himself - and Mr Edwards has clearly wrecked himself.
DEMOCRAT POLITICOS RUNNING SCARED FROM TOWN HALLS
As Democrat representatives in the US Congress cancel their local town halls as they cower in fear of their angry constituents, they are laying an even greater foundation for their own political demise. Take for instance Georgia representative David Scott from the 13th district. He raised hell with his own constituents who innocently expressed their angst about proposed healthcare and other government schemes. Then there was the treasonous canard from the Media's Speaker, Ms Pelosi, claiming that those who opposed Mr Obama's healthcare scheme were "mobsters" acting artificially. And then there was the disgusting comparo by Washington representative Brian Baird who compared those innocently exercising their opposition to Mr Obama's healthcare scheme to the late Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. On the Senate side, my own junior senator, Ms McCaskill, has had to brave angry complaints and extensive treatises, then claimed that we needed to be fair to our fellow patriots. Sounds like she could stand to follow her own advice and stop listening to the union thugs that are orchestrating attacks and bullying at the town halls, in order to ensure that Democrat politicos from Mr Obama on down encounter only friendly audiences. In Maryland, Mr Cardin was overwhelmed with complaints from his own constituents, not only Republican voters but also lots of Democrats, all being confronted by the lapdog union members. And in neighbouring Pennsylvania, the floor-crossing Mr Specter was slammed at a Lebanon town hall, to the point where policemen were standing next to at least one constituent. Some of the Democrat politicos are opting for telephone conferences with constituents instead of town hall meetings - another underscore of the secretive attitudes of the Democrat politicians who are forced to face the wrath of their angry constituents. They are all angered at the rants of Ms Pelosi and Mr Obama and Mr Reid calling their protests disingenuous, they are angered by Mr Emanuel's kinfolk saying that under-40 adults should get priority if healthcare becomes scarce - meaning that old aged pensioners are particularly vulnerable. And even the AARP have fallen under fire - though they do claim neutrality they are suspected of supporting Mr Obama's scheme. And now it turns out that the Homeland Security report that defamed people like those criticising Mr Obama's healthcare scheme came from media reports. Considering that Mr Obama's press secretary, Ms Douglass, quit her job at ABC News to campaign for the man, I am not surprised. This is another sign that this is a government by for and of the media, not the people. Libertarian commentator Glenn Beck personally challenged Mr Obama on his Fox News programme as well as his syndicated radio show, asking if the people have the right to speak their minds and be frustrated. Clearly the Democrat leadership need to pull their heads out of their backsides - STAT. They are facing a killer tsunami that will not only put them out of leadership - but also in a disfavourable position for years, even decades, if not an entire generation or more. And the critics showing up at these town hall meetings are not a manufactured phenomenon and not a crisis, but a natural process designed by our founding fathers to involve the people. With rumours of violent popular uprising abounding, it is no wonder our founding fathers intended for an uprising every generation. This is our uprising - and Democrat inattention to the details, including their aim to go alone with a socialised healthcare scheme as a last ditch, will see to it that large numbers of them will go home as a result of the 2010 elections.
YOUR HELLRAISING JUST SAVED US TAXPAYERS $330M
Taxpayer opposition - that's folks like you and me - has put the brakes on a pie-in-the-sky scheme to put eight Gulfstream V jets on the government air fleet at a cost of $550m. Instead, a Defence Department plan for four jets costing $220m - including ONE Gulfstream - will be followed in original form. Obviously the Democrats are so eager to exercise their power that they will even spend with impugnity. And sadly they are showing even more of their true colours - a sign of Marxist influence showing elitist attitudes. But why should there be so much emphasis on updating so many jets at once, especially for Congressional leaders? They should consider taking smaller jets or even chartering jets to carry Congressional leaders and representatives instead of spending all these greenbacks on expensive aircraft - and even boost airlines and charter companies affected by weak economic conditions.
