MS PELOSI FLIES THE FRIENDLY MILITARY SKIES - AT OUR EXPENSE

Does corruption permeate the highest levels of government? That has always been sort of a running cliché or at least in recent decades it has been. But what if corruption has really reared its ugly head?
You might think just that when you discover that US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
has been using United States Air Force jets as PERSONAL TRANSPORT for herself and her own family!
Clearly this is NOT the proper use of government aircraft ESPECIALLY NOT something so vital to our national defence! And the sad part about this is the Establishment Media have been SILENT about this - and even the Independent Media have only recently awakened to this ongoing pattern themselves!
And though you might be correct in accusing me of being overly vigilant - admittedly it is all but impossible to track EVERY minute detail of every politician's business with government equipment - one must ask himself or herself - How much of an impact does this have on our national security - or our budget?
When you are talking about spending upwards of $5000 per flight and spending more than $100000 on alcoholic beverages and then reimbursing the Defence Department no more than $400 per flight - you know that you and I are being stuck with the bill - paying out of our own pockets and hardearned pittances for her personal air travel!
A GOP House Speaker caught doing this - I am sure I don't have to tell you that he or she would be run out on a rail - it is a foregone conclusion. But at this point Ms Pelosi is clearly digging her own political grave with every continued flight - and the American people have increased fuel for their motivation for change - I mean REAL change.
Because what if we were under a national emergency that required the use of Air Force jets for truly important missions - instead of flying Ms Pelosi's son and grandchild in to see Grandmum in Washington? Come on, the time for her to abuse Air Force jets for personal transport and free air taxi/limo rides has just got to come to an end - post haste! Ms Pelosi has already shipwrecked her repute with her flawed policies.
This just cements her ill repute as a selfish spendthrift in the Marxist mould - not unlike Mr Mugabe in Zimbabwe, Mr Castro in Cuba, or Mr Chavez in Venezuela. With the growing negative sentiment toward those of her party even by Democrat voters, you can bet that Ms Pelosi's continued tenure is definitely at risk.

They Got It: A Plethora Of Problems Toyota DIDN'T Ask For

I still believe that Toyota are living up to their 1971 slogan, We're quality oriented.
But of course some folks could be confused or even doubtful.
But, if you are a Toyota driver, you are thinking about sending your car or truck or offroader to the scrapheap or trading it in, calm down and read the following.

Nobody expected the Toyota Motor Company to have accelerator pedal problems like those that have caused millions of their vehicles worldwide to be recalled - and that includes several million produced here in the United States.
What you may not know is that Toyota produce fewer cars per year within Japan than they do in foreign countries - and given the increasingly mobile populaces of Africa, Asia, and Latin America, those numbers can anticipate growing yet even further.
Already Toyota are well-known for producing cars in Europe, Australia, China, and Canada - on top of several plants throughout the United States.
And even the company's president, Mr Toyoda, was humbled as he
had to address the mounting technical and mechanical problems with his company's vehicles' brake and accelerator pedals. The $2bn recall and the sharp drop in stock values are understood but if handled swiftly and appropriately should be short-term.
Some Toyota agencies are already preparing for the coming onslaught of motorists bringing their late-model and new Toyota vehicles in for the necessary repairs and replacements, even staying open 24 hours a day if necessary.
As often is the case for so many of our vehicles, computers are a large integral part of the mix for systems like the Toyota Prius' system
converting inertial brake energy into power for recharging the batteries in the vehicle - another reminder that this is definitely NOT your father's Oldsmobile - or Peugeot - or Chevrolet - or Buick - or Mercury - or Studebaker - or Cadillac - or Volkswagen - or even Toyota.
The fact that Mr Toyoda
reportedly offered little explanation for the serious mechanical and technical malfunctions does NOT indicate an aloof attitude. To the contrary the man has begun to assess the mounting problems with quality control and is beginning to refocus his efforts on vehicle integrity and quality. You have got to understand that he is in charge of one of the world's largest if not the largest motor vehicle manufacturers - and his arse is clearly on the line here. He is being forced to address a problem that grew out of a well-publicised California incident in which four people perished in a motorcrash that resulted from a stuck accelerator pedal in one of his company's vehicles - and clearly Akio Toyoda - whose grandfather established the company - is doing what he has been forced to do, maybe not by his own fault, but nonetheless out of necessity as his company stand to swallow some ¥200bn ($2,2bn) over this massive recall alone - on top of another ¥200bn ($2,2bn) in losses the previous quarter.
And it happened before - in the 1970s American automakers were forced to address a number of faults in their own vehicles driving down their market shares. They have continued to survive and even thrive nonetheless - and in time Toyota will also recover.
It may take some time for them to recover - but their quality will no doubt improve because of a renewed emphasis on quality control. The media may rake them over the coals right now but the company are already working hard to salvage and even improve their repute.
Just as they did back in the late 1950s when a brave American tried driving cross country in a brand new Toyota Toyopet but had to abandon the journey in Ohio - far short of his goal of driving coast to coast.

THE TALEBAN COULD TURN AGAINST ALQAEDA!?

As Mr Obama prepares to pump billions more in money and some 30000 American soldiers into the rugged terrain of Afghanistan, there is a prospect that the Taleban warlords in Afghanistan could be motivated to turn against Osama BinLaden and his AlQaeda terrorists.
What looks unlikely on the surface and even in greater detail could be possible. Mr Obama is prepared only to deny AlQaeda a safe haven.
And in a possible arrangement that would have been unheard of even at this time last year the prospect of Hamid Karzai's government, tribal warlords, and Taleban chieftain Mullah Muhammad Omar entering into such an arrangement of cooperation is such a stunning development.
The past alliance of AlQaeda and the Taleban led to the fall of the latter in 2001 - but such a separation of the Afghan government from the Taleban should be continued for the sake of eliminating remnant AlQaeda terrorists - because what if they decided to infiltrate the Taleban? Even the Sunnis turned away from AlQaeda once they saw that even they had a stake in the majority Shia government in Iraq.
As suspicious as this appears - the Taleban could very well turn away. My realistic assessment is warlords may be driven to turn AGAINST the Taleban AND AlQaeda - if the Afghan government and American-led forces can convince them accordingly. And that might not be too difficult - as the Taleban
are turning increasingly to the rugged Pakistani state of North Waziristan.
That has created massive concerns for the Pakistani government - especially regarding their rivals India who appear to be consolidating power. They should be concerned about the Taleban themselves and be prepared to fight them as well.
What Mr Obama needs to do is bring Afghanistan AND Pakistan - and India as well - to the table. The primary reason for bringing in India is they too have had to deal with terrorism - and will need to be prepared to offer support to longtime rivals Pakistan when possible. They too have a stake in helping Pakistan stamp out terrorism - and specifically the Taleban menace.
If the Pakis want to be rid of the terrorist menace of the Taleban - and all evidence points to they do - they will positively work even more closely with both Afghanistan and India on this matter. More than likely India will be willing to assist both countries in their efforts.

"DISCIPLINING" STUDENTS IN BULLYING CASE NOT ENOUGH: PUNKS WHO DESERVE MURDER CHARGES

In the wake of last month's bullycide of 15-year-old Phoebe Prince at South Hadley High School in Massachusetts as many as 30 students face criminal investigation.
The school have already
taken action against two students but it is too little and definitely too late. Perhaps the actions that the Massachusetts legislature are considering involving stringent prohibitions on harassing behaviour against minors are a step forward - but as I pointed out in Edition 100, on 31 May 2008, maybe it is time to start prosecuting those whose actions drive their victims to take their own lives on charges of murder.
Maybe if school bullies who cause such deaths start getting prosecuted for murder - and face ADULT sentences IN ADULT CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES - that will send a solid message to other students to clean up their act and show some respect for others. And then maybe parents would get their brains in gear and start teaching their children respect for others and right from wrong.

STATE LAWS AGAINST MANDATORY HEALTH INSURANCE TAKING HOLD!?

As Virginia lawmakers voted on three bills to criminalise compulsory health insurance carriage by individuals other states are getting in on the act in the event of impending healthcare legislation in the United States Congress.
They seek to cripple any effort to force Americans to undertake government healthcare schemes that the people do not want, and though arguments have arisen that such bills are not worth the paper they are written on - an inflammatory sign of their own irrational partisanism - they forget very conveniently that there is no proviso in the United States Constitution to provide healthcare, therefore that element falls back into the hands of the PEOPLE - per the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
And that document is set to further cripple the Obama Administration's efforts to force government healthcare - a showdown in the High Courts would send such a scheme the way of the National Recovery Administration in the 1930s when Franklin Roosevelt's schemes were derailed by Supreme Court rulings.
When healthcare is concerned and roughly one-sixth of the economy is affected the people are positively energised toward blocking government control over any more aspects of American life. There is already more then enough government control over our lives.
The federal government do not need any further power over our lives and the states are affirming that with their leadership, because the people have led them to do so. This will further send a message that Congress and the federal government, including Mr Obama, will not want to hear - but they will have no choice - and putting their hands over their ears and yelling "LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA" will merely enrage the populace.

MR BROWN FINALLY SEATED AFTER WEEKS OF WAITING NEEDLESSLY

A little more than two weeks after winning a special election in Massachusetts, Scott Brown was finally sworn in as a United States Senator.
Mr Brown takes over the late Ted Kennedy's old office after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was already
scheduling votes for nominees like Labour Department Solicitor-Select Patricia Smith even though Mr Brown had yet to be seated.
This puts Mr Reid in the crosshairs and under even more scorn from the American people. And Mr Brown was undeniably correct to assert himself by
demanding that the state secretary, Mr Galvin, and the governor, Mr Patrick, sign off on certification of the election results from last month.
Do the people of Massachusetts deserve to be shortchanged of their proper representation by political head games by politicians in Boston and Washington against the American people? You know that they do not. The people spoke - and whether you agree with Mr Brown's victory or not you have to accept the will of the people on this matter - and definitely Mr Patrick, Mr Galvin, and definitely Mr Reid MUST accept that will of the people and stop trying to play political head games and ram their neoliberal agenda down America's and the Commonwealth's gullets. That is EXACTLY what drove Massachusetters to elect Mr Brown in the first place!
If the Democrats keep playing these head games they are not doing themselves any favours. Sticking to their procedures is especially hurting Massachusetts Democrat leaders.
Mr Reid did say he was withholding further votes on healthcare proposals until Mr Brown was seated - though he appears somewhat disingenuous given his tendency to conduct a number of votes on other matters without Mr Brown present. Clearly Mr Reid's actions against the people of Massachusetts have given his Nevada constituents even more ammunition and they will be taking it out on him at the polls come November.

MR OBAMA'S STATE OF THE UNION DEFIANT AS HIS PARTY LACK COMMON SENSE

On Wednesday night when Mr Obama delivered his first State Of The Union address he had no idea that he was about to open up a further firestorm.
He did so with an extensive oratory that focused on the current recession of our economy - including a proposed tax credit for job creation that seemed to leave out people of higher incomes, under which brackets most business owners fall into - but he also spent part of his speech complaining about those who opposed his ideological positions, claiming that he had not explained himself clearly enough.
But what Mr Obama does not get is that we the people ALREADY KNOW ENOUGH about his ideological positions and realise that he is trying to impose a sort of neocommunist rule in America.  Independent talk radio host Michael Savage has compared him to the Duvaliers of the recently earthquake-stricken Haiti.
And it appears he has lost at least one ardent supporter - Amber Lee Ettinger, who became an instant celebrity for her singing about her crush on Mr Obama during his campaign for the Democrat Party nomination,
is now uncertain about supporting him again.
He is already facing massive opposition to his policies - most notably healthcare. He does not need to display a defiant tone that insinuates that he will ram through his agenda no matter what the cost. He is clearly detached from reality to say the least.
And he is not alone in his misguided judgment: Ms Pelosi and Mr Reid are ALSO in the crosshairs - and not only is it certain that Mr Reid would lose his bid for reelection but it is not even certain that Ms Pelosi might hold on to her seat let alone her Speaker post in the US House of Representatives. Other pundits have already talked about the Democrats continuing to lose support and ultimately lose their seats.
This is the beginning of a political tsunami - with the people of Massachusetts already sending the first wave cresting abnormally high with their election of Scott Brown to the United States Senate.
And it did not help that Mr Obama saw a quiet dismissal of his remarks by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito about
a recent legal ruling about campaign contributions by the Supreme Court - in which Mr Obama incorrectly identified the statute overturned. So many critics have condemned Mr Alito but failed to understand the reasoning behind it - which is almost exactly identical to the reasoning behind South Carolina US House Representative Joe Wilson's exuberant shout of "YOU LIE!" during a speech by Mr Obama from last summer regarding the handling of immigrants: There is a clear sense of disbelief shown, not only by politicians and justices, but also the American people in general, to Mr Obama's twisted pretzel logic.
Let Mr Obama continue on his misguided path of social engineering - this is why past Democrat presidents failed, most notably Mr Carter, but also Mr Clinton and even Mr Johnson. Let him continue behaving like a spoiled 10-year-old whose parents are not brave enough to discipline him. He is learning the hard way that he answers to we the people, not they the media or they the courts or they the government or they the tsars. He is learning the hard way that we in a sense are his parents and he MUST answer to us.
And let the Democrats keep running in the wrong direction. Let them run back toward their misguided social justice and even more misguided social engineering. Let them continue behaving in such ardently anti-American fashion that they alienate the American people even more than they already are alienated by their own Congressional representatives. They too will find out the hard way come this November - and maybe even sooner in the primaries - that they MUST account to the American people for ALL of their actions whilst in office.

DEAD AIR UN-AMERICA IMPLODE!
Neoliberal Talk Radio Network Fold In Wake Of Abysmal Ratings

Last week came to an abrupt end for the Air America Radio Network - which were as extremely low in the ratings as they were extremely leftist in their approach.
Their idea to challenge conventional talk radio - which was and still is predominantly conservative in approach - but with a more liberal position - appeared to have major traction in the Establishment Media back in 2004 when it debuted.
Their star lineup consisted of malcontent leftists with varying degrees of irrational partisanism toward those who disagreed with them. The actor Al Franken helmed the O'Franken Factor as an obvious broadside against Bill O'Reilly. Then Randi Rhodes would also erupt with her own afternoon show. Janeane Garofalo, another low-grade actor, also found time on the network, as did Rachel Maddow, who is now a host of an MSNBC prime time show.
But of course there was extensive suspicion of their operations. They even faced their own scandal when they were found to be
taking money from a New York youth organisation.
Sadly, irrational partisanism coupled with a leftward approach ensured that Air America stayed low in the ratings - and this is on top of the American people being fed up with the saturation of liberalism in the media. Was it not enough for the Left to dominate almost every big-city newspaper, nearly every major news wire service, and most of the television news programming, as well as the scripts and plots of most television programmes and movies, and even some of the music made available to the public marketplace? They basically reacted because their monopoly on opinions and commentaries had been broken and they had been forced to compete with the strength of conservative thought in talk radio and in a few select independent media outlets.
Consequently, because the marketplace had decided that liberalism is basically a bankrupt ideology, Air America failed.
Surely a few people will cry for a "Fairness Doctrine" but the reality is that when such a measure is put into place the people are stifled from speaking out particularly in the media, as a onesided ideology is forced upon the masses - not unlike that being imposed at present in Venezuela by Mr Chavez' neocommunist regime. Air America commentators would call for similar measures and now they are seeing how failed that call is as are their network.

WAAAAAAH! ANTI-LIFE RADICALS SLAM FOCUS ON THE FAMILY SUPER BOWL ADVERT FEATURING FLORIDA QB'S FAMILY

When Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow led his NCAA team to the playoffs as well as the 2008 NCAA Bowl Championship he never imagined the furore that his - or his mother's - participation in a Super Bowl advertisement would generate.
Of course his mother DID have to explain how a Philippine doctor had told her when she was experiencing an illness whilst pregnant that she might have such complications that she might not want to carry the baby full term. But what that doctor did not know was that that baby would wind up a star college football quarterback headed on a dead run for the pros.
And if she had followed that doctor's advice and had an abortion, we would never have seen the numerous exploits of Tim Tebow on the football field, excelling in athletics, most notably football.
This Florida State Seminoles fan just found one VERY good reason to rally behind Tim Tebow.
You read that right.
A Seminoles fan and confirmed Gator Hater cheering for a Florida Gators quarterback.
But this time there is a good reason for that. Supporting an unborn baby's right to live was a primary concern for Mr Tebow's mother. She knew the great human potential a child can present to the world especially as he or she grows up.
Now of course there is always some loose cannon who will pour ice water on the works and in one recent example on The View, that horrible ABC-TV daytime programme, that truly horrible panelist Joy Behar had to declare that the baby could have become a mass murderer or something like that. Shame on her for saying such a horrible thing about Tim Tebow - regarded by many young men and women with honour and respect.
Something obviously escaped her closed mind. And a certain chord was struck by radical neoliberal organisations - most notably the Women's Media Centre, along with the National Organisation for Women, and the Feminist "Majority" Foundation, all
crying for CBS to scrap the advert. Evidently they are miffed that the pro-life side is allowed to be viewed at all - and they need to get over it, considering how often the abortion rights supporters are featured on Establishment Media networks like CBS.
Is it really fair to the viewers to air lopsided propaganda against the right of a human being to live, then reject someone who wishes to advocate the precious nature of life and why it should be preserved when possible? Clearly we can see why the more radical organisations are commonly located at the fringes of society. Their irrational partisanism against those who do not see things their way has earned them the scorn they may well deserve - and they need to quit complaining because one side gets to voice their side of an argument and it doesn't jibe with their beliefs.
And in the case of folks like the Women's Media Centre we see a clear disconnect from reality that has fuelled their negativity. We put up with your views all day long from Establishment Media newspapers and television programming - please learn to accept ours. We might even begin to have a wonderful dialogue.

KANSAS MURDERER GETS LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE IN QUICK TRIAL FOR KILLING ABORTIONIST

The week ended with a rapidfire criminal trial in Kansas that involved a despicable murderer whose jury took less than an hour to convict him.
Scott Roeder chose to kill George Tiller in his own church simply because he did not like the fact that Mr Tiller was one of the few abortionists whose now-closed facility administered to unwilling mothers in later stages of their pregnancies.
And for that he was arrested and tried for murder, even trying to get a reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter.
Evidently this is a sad state of events that has ended with the correct verdict - but more than likely the man is about to live the rest of his life behind bars.
In my mind Mr Roeder does not deserve to live - I would have put his ass in front of a firing squad at the Kansas Speedway and aired his execution on pay per view and used the proceeds to help Mr Tiller's family - because simply because Mr Tiller killed innocent babies in his abortuary DOES NOT! condone this response.
Violence is not the solution to the problem of lack of respect for unborn life - violence in this case IS THE PROBLEM! We MUST remember what the Reverend Dr Martin Luther King Jr - and Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi as well - said about injustice being the problem and NONVIOLENCE being the solution.  Let's resolve this issue at the ballot box and let's have a rational dialogue about life issues, not only regarding the rights of the unborn but also the rights of the old age pensioner, the rights of the differently abled, and the rights of the profoundly infirm.
We know that a one-size-fits-all straitjacket ruling from the High Court is not the appropriate solution in this case - as there IS no specific proviso in the Constitution regarding a right to an abortion.  Better to let the states decide if they want to allow the practise.
But we must let it be known above all that no matter what the injustice - this is equivalent to shooting a policeman who wrote a ticket for going one mile over the speed limit (which is unlikely anyway because most policemen give you a 10mi/h cushion over the speed limit before they cite you) - violence is an inappropriate situation. Consider that as more hot-button issues come to light regarding the judiciary - we are dangerously close to some loose cannon shooting a judge over a bad ruling. PLEASE STOP AND THINK!
You can do MUCH MORE by using nonviolent principles and organising peacefully in support of an unborn baby's right to live. You can even do something positive in peacefully and rationally advocating abortion rights. Either way, a truly peaceful approach is absolutely necessary - and treating those with opposing views with respect is a REQUIREMENT for maintaining integrity and credibility.

Current mood:patriotic
Category: News and Politics

Chances are you spent some of Tuesday night watching the returns come in from the Massachusetts special election for the United States Senate seat vacated by the death of Edward Moore Kennedy.
When the interim Senator, Mr Kirk, completed his term as a result of the shocking upset victory by Scott Brown - he completed alomst six decades of occupancy of that Senate seat by Democrats, going back to Mr Kennedy's older brother, Jack.
Not since 1953 had a Republican occupied that seat - Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. And it had been 31 years since a Republican had represented the Bay State in the United States Senate - when Edward Brooke III completed his second term as a Senator.
And Susan Estrich - a former employee of Mr Brooke's office - provided some interesting analysis of the campaign as well as the resounding defeat that Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley sustained.
A moderate margin of five points between the two candidates in the results showed a clear preference by the state's independent majority - a peculiar aspect of the state's electorate - for Mr Brown and for fiscal conservatism and even more moderate social positions.
But that effectively did more than shut down the Democrats' bulletproof majority. It also reaffirmed the principle of government by the people, for the people, of the people, NOT the media, especially as we noted how the media came totally unglued about Mr Brown's stunning victory.
They must not have appreciated his victory speech, which was wildly applauded and cheered by those in attendance - including three incidences of Mr Brown's supporters chanting of the phrase, "YES, WE CAN!", basically taking a page out of Barack Obama's playbook - as well as his signature campaign slogan.
Mr Brown - who pushed his GMC Canyon pickup past the 200000mi mark driving all over the Commonwealth campaigning for votes and even shaking hands with Boston Bruins fans at Fenway Park for the NHL Winter Classic against the Philadelphia Flyers on New Years Day - struck a chord with ordinary voters. Although Massachusetts might lean a little to the left, they are patently patriotic and very concerned about basic freedoms not to mention they are very down to earth folks.
He emphasised his opposition to expansive government and outrageous spending sprees - something which his colleague John Kerry could stand to comprehend as the new senior senator from the Bay State. He also sent a massive wakeup call to both parties.
For Republicans he issued a blueprint for success in the coming elections of this year. He showed how to approach the voters and elocute the ideals that Republicans should be promoting and the things that matter most to the American people. If he can pick up a seat for the GOP in a state where only one from every nine voters is a part of that party - then there is nothing to say that people like Patty Murray and Barbara Boxer are not vulnerable themselves.
And he also delivered a message to Democrats - that it is time to dial back the extremist policies and the excess spending. He sent the Democrats a message that they had clearly overstepped their boundaries - and must reform themselves. Whether the DNC will get that message is becoming clear - and clearly they are sticking their heads in the sand.
But more importantly he sent a message to Americans in general - as he promoted his platform based upon smaller government, smaller budgets, and limited central government - because he captured the essence of the current American mood. Though he got some help from independent media outlets, like Fox News and talk radio, some of his support was online-based...and some of you had Scott Brown for Senate banners on your profiles or even as your default photos.
He clearly understands the anger that you are probably feeling toward an out-of-control, spendthrift, overbearing government seeking to sap your freedom as well as your wellbeing and your money. This stunning victory has made him more than an instant celebrity - it has reminded him how fortunate he is to represent such a state - and the media may not readily accept him, but the people already have - not in Massachusetts alone but nationwide. He has reminded us that the character of a candidate, not the political affiliation, is what matters more than anything else. It is the clearest indicator of how that candidate will handle the affairs of the people. That is who he did it for. He didn't seek media approval - he was his own man.

What Mr Brown's Victory Means For Massachusetts State Politics

Scott Brown left a sudden impact upon the Massachusetts state political scene as well as the national scene. In becoming the lone Republican in the state's United States Congress delegation, Mr Brown has sent a message to other Republicans, that they can achieve.
This victory has just motivated Republicans - and independents - and even many Democrats as well. The stranglehold that Democrats have held over Massachusetts state politics has just become endangered. And the policies of that state party's governor, Deval Patrick, are fuelling further discontent.
The Brown Effect has just begun to manifest itself. It is a warning shot about what is to come for the state's Democrats. It means time to wake up and smell the reality - that you can no longer take your office for granted. This means that your days of promoting radical and extreme policies in the name of progress and tolerance and diversity with impugnity are come and gone - emphasis on gone - which is what you will be if you don't change your ways.
We can understand your need to teach younger folks about tolerance for LGBT folks - though it would be nice to involve the parents in the loop as well. And why is it necessary to criminalise the parents that take issue with education policies especially those regarding sexuality?
We can understand your need to spend money for transportation projects especially in the Boston metropolitan area - but could you find more efficient and more effective ways to handle them? Because look at how the Big Dig project turned out - and even then some parts had to be fixed as a woman died from injuries suffered when a piece of tunnel fell and struck her vehicle!
And we can even understand how important it is to show compassion for immigrants - but PLEASE don't extend that to illegal aliens, for we DO have immigration laws in this country!
As important as it is for sex education to be implemented - how about knowing when the age is appropriate? Common sense means DON'T teach prepubescent children about putting prophylactics on bananas!
And what is with all the taxation, folks? Why do you think it is necessary for state government to pay for healthcare? Why not let the private sector take care of that matter?
Why is it necessary to criminalise gun and knife ownership? That is why crime is a constant problem especially in the Boston metropolitan area! You disarm the lawabiding citizen - you embolden the criminal! That has been proven time after time after time.
And though you don't have to pass a law like Kennesaw GA did when they mandated gun ownership for every lawabiding citizen - their crime rate is the LOWEST in the country for a community of their size - think about what you could do for personal safety. Do you think that a gay man - married or otherwise - would be safer if he had the ability to protect himself as he saw fit - without undue government interference with his Second Amendment rights? I KNOW he would - as in a motto of the pro-Second Amendment organisation aimed especially at LGBT folks, Pink Pistols - armed gays DON'T GET BASHED! And that's not even counting the heterosexual majority in the state!
Think about what a relief a man would have if he had to leave home so his wife could nurse their infant son or daughter - and she could protect herself from an armed invasion robber: Criminals hate an armed target who can shoot back more than they hate anything else.
These and a number of other questions are now about to be asked and the answers that politicians will give will be more heavily scrutinised than ever before. Odds are some of the seats currently held by Democrats are about to change parties because of new people being elected to office.
Though the independent majority of the state appear malleable, in reality they have rockribbed standards that even the current occupants of Massachusetts state offices will have to recognise - and learn to reflect lest they themselves suffer the fate that Ms Coakley suffered on Tuesday night.

What Mr Brown's Victory Means For State Politics Nationwide

The other 49 states are about to feel the reverbations from Massachusetts as the result of the people's election of Scott Brown to what he correctly termed The People's Seat.
Even ostensibly more liberal states like California and Washington and Oregon and Hawai'i are about to feel the shockwave in the impending political earthquake.
Already facing an uphill battle in the polls even against only potential candidates, Barbara Boxer is now basically forced onto a vertical cliff - covered with rain not unlike that in the torrential rains blanketing most areas - except higher elevations where snow is the forecast of the day. Forget Carly Fiorina - the Hewlett Packard executive turned campaign apparatchik for John McCain in his run for the White House in 2008 - even a convict like Charles Manson or Tex Watson could defeat Ms Boxer in an election!
And Patty Murray is not facing any better odds. Even Dianne Feinstein might not be safe when her seat comes up for election in 2012. Ron Wyden is probably not safe either. Are Daniel Akaka and Daniel Inouye any safer? I doubt it, especially with the establishment of Republican Governor Linda Lingle in the Aloha State.
And conservative states like Arkansas and Indiana might be ready to ditch their Democrat senators as well. Blanche Lincoln has already started facing withering odds with popular sentiment of condemnation growing in the wake of the healthcare debate. Arlen Specter, not content with divorcing himself from the GOP, may have just been divorced by his Pennsylvania constituents - and is basically marked for defeat come November.
The Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, is about to face his own Waterloo come fall - as he is trailing every potential Republican opponent. You could just as well have the Nevada governor issue a full pardon to OJ Simpson and release him from prison and run him as a Republican against Mr Reid. The Juice would still get more votes.
The plain and simple is Democrats are clearly on the outs as far as the American people are concerned. Their quest for power, including a pigheadedly stubborn effort to push through socialised medicine at all costs, has already reared its ugly head - and the rampaging bronco will soon stampede all over them.
State level Democrats in Sacramento, Austin, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Denver, Phoenix, Santa Fe, Annapolis, Richmond, Springfield, Jefferson City, Topeka, Lincoln, Boise, Carson City, Salt Lake City, Eugene, Olympia, Helena, Cheyenne, Bismarck, St Paul, Tallahassee, Montgomery, Jackson, Baton Rouge, Indianapolis, Columbus, Lansing, Des Moines, Harrisburg, Trenton, Hartford, Providence, Concord, Montpelier, Madison, Augusta, Albany, Atlanta, Nashville, Pierre, Columbia, Raleigh, Frankfort, Charleston, Dover, Juneau, and Honolulu had damn well better wake the hell up and smell reality - and be prepared to recommit themselves to their constituents and safeguarding their freedom and their livelihood instead of grabbing more power and money for themselves - if they want to keep their jobs.
Nobody cares about how much you are working for diversity; matter of fact the people have heard more than enough of that. They want their country back - and they want their power back. They want freedom and they want government to get out of every little affair they have.
The people are tired of a one-party establishment - and they have clearly shown this before, particularly in 1980 and 1994. They did so to a lesser extent in 2006 because of the GOP going soft on their principles.
Poor leadership decisions have led to bad sentiment and anger aimed at the leadership of each party. For Republicans it is a genuine opportunity to offer sensible solutions to the multitude of problems facing us not to mention a genuine commitment to fiscal discipline and limited government. For Democrats it is an opportunity to show real commitment to working for the people instead of the media or the fringe leftist pressure groups. Either party could fail to meet their respective objectives.
It is now up to the people of each party to get their parties on the right track - for Republicans they need to realign with conservative principles that helped them win in the past; for Democrats they need to divorce themselves from the Marxist radicalism that has infected their party for decades and start returning to more moderate principles that governed their party prior to the mid-1960s.
And the independents have a stake in this too - they need to follow the issues and point the way to the candidate with the best sense of reason.
Scott Brown's impact is going to be felt throughout this campaign season and though the GOP have an excellent chance of victory - they must not rest on their laurels. This is their time to shine. The DNC must also begin examining where they went wrong - and figure a less radical way to get into office or stay in office.
The people have spoken - it is time for real change - and that change includes fiscal and personal responsibility.

...BUT THE DEMOCRAT LEADERS STILL DON'T GET IT - AND NEITHER DO THE ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA

On the heels of the big victory that Scott Brown scored in the special election in Massachusetts, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid continued discussing how to find ways to impose government healthcare.
And Mr Obama himself was rather miffed yet understood that there was a sense of anger and discontent that fuelled Mr Brown's election just as there was a sense of anger and discontent fuelling his rise to the White House.
And the Establishment Media were throwing a temper tantrum as evidenced by presenters at CNN and especially MSNBC: One complained about who Massachusetters thought they were to decide healthcare for all Americans?
Well, for one thing, it's called democracy in action. You know, the very thing you claim you want for all Americans? And we may use democratic principles but we are still a REPUBLIC. They voted - and they decided that Mr Brown was better qualified to represent them than Ms Coakley was.
And besides that, Mr Brown reminded the people that it was not the Kennedys' seat, it was not the Democrats' seat, it was the PEOPLE's seat. That is the attitude Democrats are going to have to adopt if they expect to have even a glimmer of hope of holding on to their seats.
However, since they have resumed their stonehearted, steel-reinforced-concrete-skulled, ways in the face of mounting public sentiment to the contrary - they can expect to lose yet even more seats come November, and not just in Congressional elections - as this matter has great potential to sweep through practically every state...not just Massachusetts.
And the Obama Administration are
going back to the tricks that got Mr Obama into the Oval Office in 2008 - which will no longer work. The American people are too savvy to their ways and have figured them out - as they have figured out most other Democrats. And the media are no better - as witnessed by this CNN analyst's assessment of the situation.
What has hurt the Democrats in general the most is they insist upon dictating to the people instead of listening to what they say. This is how a number of totalitarian governments past and present function. Are the Democrats really seeking democracy? Their behaviour clearly indicates otherwise.
They REALLY need to change their ways - and NOT by listening to the neocommunist fringe in their party either. Instead they need to start LISTENING - I mean REALLY LISTENING - TO ALL OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS. Don't just listen to the labour unions. Don't just listen to the environmentalist groups. Don't just listen to the feminist groups. Don't just listen to the groups that organise for people of colour. Don't just listen to groups whose membership is focused upon the matter of sexual orientation. Don't just listen to the folks that demand abortion rights. Don't just listen to the atheist groups. Don't just listen to the teachers unions. Don't just listen to celebrities.
Actually listen to real people on the streets. Listen to people in your district. Listen to the farmers, the businessmen, the mechanics, the carpenters, the priests, the rabbis, the pastors, the preachers, the imams, the masons, the policemen, the firemen, the paramedics, the nurses, the doctors - and not just the lawyers and the teachers. Listen to what they have to tell you about their problems and their concerns - and for God's sakes don't just push forward with your radical extreme leftist agenda no matter what.
And you Republicans also need to keep that in mind yourselves. Mr Brown alone cannot carry you - you must do some of the tough work yourself. Follow his example if you can - travel the district in your own car, shake hands with people at sporting events, communicate a clear message that advocates freedom, prosperity, and individualism.
This is NOT the time for Democrats to dig in their heels - and definitely this is NOT the time for registered Democrats to let their party bosses and political leaders dig in their heels and go back to business as usual. Because the people did NOT want business as usual masquerading as change. This is the time for Democrats to enact some change of their own - upon THEMSELVES - and remember they represent the PEOPLE - NOT JUST THE MEDIA!

SCOTUS RENDER CAMPAIGN FINANCE ACT UNCONSTITUTIONAL

A decades-old campaign finance law bit the dust as the result of a
5:4 ruling on corporate campaign finance donations.
And though now corporations and labour unions
may now buy airtime for political adverts supporting a candidate it still leaves a century-old ban on donating directly to candidates.
Understandably we need to safeguard the freedom of speech, however was this the original intent of the First Amendment? I don't think that it was intended necessarily to protect corporate speech - it was originally intended to protect the freedom of speech of people who had unpopular or even offensive things to say.
I don't necessarily look so much to corporate or union campaign efforts as necessary of protection - and as it stands the unions were already acting almost as if it didn't exist as they were
raising far more in a number of elections than corporations ever had.
However, it is important that free speech be protected - and whilst I can appreciate the need to help corporations and unions retain that voice I would like to see some attention paid to the individual - whose concerns are largely ignored by government these days except if the individual is a politician seeking more power and to remain in office.
I suppose that this ruling is an appropriate ruling given the circumstances as it means corporations and unions are able to participate to a certain point in the political process.

MS BACHMANN WAS ACTING LIKE A LADY - HOW ABOUT MR SPECTER ACT LIKE A GENTLEMAN?

Toward the end of the week a furore erupted over Democrat Senator Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania attacking Republican US House Representative Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota, by demanding that she "act like a lady" when he kept talking over her when she was trying to make her points.
Mr Specter did not need this spectacle to remind him he was on the outs with the people of the Keystone State or the American people - he was already in enough trouble as not only did he find himself left powerless after crossing the aisle from the GOP but now he finds himself a target of eager Republicans seeking to unseat him.
But he was not being sexist toward Ms Bachmann - who is no doubt now a target of the same neocommunists that helped Al Franken steal Norm Coleman's US Senate seat - but he certainly WAS being rude. He needed to simply shut up and let her speak.
And the moderator could certainly have stood to put the brakes on that by interrupting both and then letting them speak ONE at a time. Perhaps that could have maintained proper decorum a lot better.
But this is the last thing that Mr Specter really needed right now - especially as his party just lost a bulletproof Senate majority. And the people already have a good mind to send him packing back to Pennsylvania. Maybe they even might suggest he go back to Russell, Kansas - where another great senator - Bob Dole - also arose from.

In the fourth chapter of None Dare Call It Treason, Words Versus Action, John A Stormer opened with the following quote from Confucius:

Look at the means which a man employs; consider his motives; observe his pleasaures. A man simply cannot conceal himself.

As was the case in 1960 when Communist infiltration of governmental bodies and appeasement of communist tyranny were basically swept under the rug save for a minor mention by Democrats in areas with high concentrations of Eastern European immigrants, terrorist threats that were heavily addressed in the 2000s by Mr Bush and his administration have been swept under the rug by most of the people in Mr Obama's administration - Ms Napolitano is an excellent example of that.
Richard Nixon as vice president decided for the sake of party unity not to express the record of failure and appeasement of his superior, Mr Eisenhower. Unfortunately, anticommunists with knowledge in the Democrat Party also remained mum for the sake of avoiding partisanism. This is very different from the way things are done today, with Republicans slamming Democrats for being soft on terrorism whilst Democrats routinely accuse Republicans of being radical and insensitive and bigoted.
For all his greatness in his brief tenure, Jack Kennedy as candidate ignored the problems of those like William Wieland in government then as president promoted Mr Wieland to a State Department committee with the authority to change security procedures, then denounced a female reporter who noted that Mr Wieland was a security risk during a televised press conference as he defended Mr Wieland's qualifications. Sounds like a number of gaffes Mr Obama has been involved in with certain members of his administration, most notably Van Jones and Timothy Geithner.
American foreign policy did not change direction when party power at the White House changed on 20 January 1961 and apparently it did not change direction very much for a number of years, until 1981 when Ronald Reagan took a different tone, reversing some of the damage of decades of communist infiltration, but it held steady under the elder George Bush, then was rapidly shifted back to pre-Reagan Administration levels under Bill Clinton, then sustained another moderate reversal under the younger George Bush, and is now back on the earliest course under Barack Obama.
A book of his speeches and statements in Mr Kennedy's first 10 months in office published on 8 November 1961 showed that he affirmed that strong words alone "do not make meaningful policy; they must in foreign affairs in particular be backed both by a will and weapons that are equally strong".
Brother Stormer then used that standard to critique his actions in numerous foreign crises.
Take for instance the Laos situation, when on 26 March 1961 Mr Kennedy promised that Laos - then under attack from already-communised Red China and North Viet Nam - would not be allowed to fall into communist tyranny. Then American and Soviet diplomats established a so-called peaceful solution that eventually led to communisation of that country, with anti-communist Prince Boun Oum ordered to give communists key positions in his cabinet. Prince Boun Oum refused and the United States cut off his $4m-a-month allotment of foreign aid on 16 February 1962, then relented to Soviet and American pressure and allowed so-called neutralists along with communists to name 13 of 15 cabinet ministers, deposing the pro-Western anti-communist Prince.
Of course Mr Kennedy and Mr Khruschchev would praise the "peaceful" settlement in Laos that resulted in American aid being withdrawn and 10000 Red Chinese and DRVN (Democratic Republic of Viet Nam, also known as North Viet Nam) troops remaining in Laos in violation of Mr Khruschchev's pledge. Mr Kennedy had flip-flopped from his 1949 policy as a young Congressman from Massachusetts - when he expressed the assessment that the Chinese Communist movement had deceived the West by pretending to be "pro-agrarian" as our own government failed to maintain a stake in a free, uncommunised China by focusing on insisting on communist involvement in the Chinese government - in the same way Laos was forced to accept communist rule by Mr Kennedy's own administration. As much as you could draw a parallel to another Massachusetts Senator - John Forbes Kerry - a more appropriate comparison would be drawn to the actions of Mr Clinton regarding Serbia, Bosnia, and Albania.
And Laos would not be the only government forced to accept Communists into their government - as it would turn out the very diplomats Mr Kennedy himself had condemned as a Congressman from Massachusetts in 1949 were named to run his State Department in 1961. Dean Rusk ran the Rockefeller Foundation when he recommended a $2m grant to the IPR in 1952 - at the height of the Congressional probes into that communist outfit. He had also had the cheek to compare the brutal tyrant Mao Tsetung to George Washington in a speech at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr Kennedy chose W Averill Harriman for the Assistant Secretary Of State for Far Eastern Affairs - and Mr Harriman, long known for his appeasement of the Soviets, crafted the Laos policy, even boldly claiming that America didn't care one way or the other about that country - a lie compared to the reality of Mr Kennedy's open support for Laos. He would get promoted within the State Department and even entered into negotiations on a nuclear test ban treaty with the Soviets.
Today we have a number of likeminded folks handling foreign policy as well as border security basically appeasing terrorists and those who would support them. With present day talk of possible negotiations with totalitarian leaders in Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and Bolivia, it is not hard to see the roots of today's failed foreign policy measures under Mr Obama. It is a primary reason Americans have been holding open demonstrations in organised events to condemn the government - and why Scott Brown just earned his election to the Senate seat once held by Mr Kennedy himself.
Mr Kennedy also addressed the nascent Castro dictatorship taking place in Cuba by condemning Mr Eisenhower's handling of the matter by not adequately supporting freedom fighters' efforts and even calling for the strengthening of support for pro-democracy supporters of Mr Batista, the last president of a free Cuba. He would approve the Bay Of Pigs invasion on 17 April 1961 which was financed and directed by the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency. Invaders however failed to gain necessary air support - and ironically Mr Kennedy - the same man who had condemned the handling by his predecessor of the Castro regime - himself laid the foundation for failure of the invasion by denying necessary air support. Further incompetency was exhibited with the multiple types of ammunition supplied which turned out to be incompatible with so many of the freedom fighters' weapons.
Expected uprisings by Cubans throughout the island never materialised and as a result the confusing radio reports about fake uprisings by Radio SWAN - the CIA's shortwave radio station that functioned in much the same way that Radio Martí function today - further fuelled the suspicions of incompetency in the invasion's efforts. We could say the same thing about Mr Clinton's efforts in the Balkan states in the 1990s as we basically stuck our noses in something we did not have any business in - diametrically opposite from the efforts Mr Kennedy undertook for truly noble reasons in 1961.
At that time there had been exactly ONE successful overthrow of a Communist dictatorship - the Guatemalan overthrow of 1954 which Whiting Willauer, former ambassador to Honduras, had had a role in before testifying to the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee about the failure of the Bay Of Pigs invasion. Since that time we have seen Communist regimes in Nicaragua, Romania, East Germany, the Soviet Union, and a number of other countries all collapse - most of them in 1989. The Guatemalans had laid a glimmer of hope for revolution - and that revolutionary spirit has continued to some degree even in the few remaining Communist regimes, though it is squashed most notably in China, North Korea, and Zimbabwe.
Mr Willauer was recalled from Honduras by Mr Eisenhower in the last days of his administration to orchestrate the total blueprint for the operation. As a former assistant to Flying Tigers Chief Claire Chennault, he would also establish the framework for air support with Cuban-flown B-26 bombers and Navy jets flying above for support. Initially asked to continue as Special Assistant by Mr Rusk after his service to his predecessor, Christian Herter, Mr Willauer was quickly shut out of the loop and dismissed hours before the Bay Of Pigs invasion. The subsequent furore led to suspicions about incompetency and a planned failure of the invasion.
And just weeks after the failed invasion - the Cuban government received a $1,6m grant from the United Nations Special Fund to improve their agriculture. A fat lot of good that did - as most of the improvements have escaped the Cuban people who are forced to subsist in meagre rations.
Then the Kennedy administration sought more aid for Hungary and Czechoslovakia as well as expansion of aid programmes dating from the Eisenhower administration to Poland and Yugoslavia. Sounds even vaguely familiar? It could very well be the case as there were extensive aid programmes to a number of countries in the Middle East in light of terrorist activity in the wake of 11 September - part of the reason both Democrats and Republicans were spending with complete lunacy in the 2000s, thus drawing extreme scorn from the American people.
A Senate measure that passed to expand funding to communist nations was opposed by 18 Democrats and 18 Republicans - and then the Senate narrowly rejected another measure that would have halted foreign aid to countries selling arms and strategic goods to communist nations. The aftermath of the Bay Of Pigs fiasco led to the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 - when Mr Kennedy was forced to stare down Mr Khrushchev regarding Soviet missile installations at the island nation. He was forced to recognise the mounting Soviet threat on Cuban soil after months of rejections of such accounts. He did make a crucial misstep however - by calling them "defencive weapons".
This is not dissimilar to Mr Obama's shortsighted assessment of the recent attempted homicide bombing of an aeroplane on Christmas Day 2009 by an Islamonazi named Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab - nor to his attorney general, Mr Holder, taking an approach to treat Mr Abdulmutallab as a criminal instead of as an enemy combatant - both of which have been a key measure of denial used in the Obama Administration regarding terrorism.
And Mr Kennedy faced fierce opposition in the fall of 1962 from protestors who condemned him as he campaigned for Congressional candidates - as well as American Legion National Commander Charles Bacon who along with three Senators - Barry Goldwater (R-AZ), Kenneth Keating (R-NY), and Homer Capehart (R-IN) - called for using the United States Navy for blockading Cuba. One key opponent of that idea was Mr Kennedy's own vice president - Lyndon Johnson, the same man who would hatch The Great Society - which may well lead you to think even Mr Johnson had communist leanings. He called it "irresponsible warmongering" even though he understood the clear and present danger posed to the United States by the Soviets' massing of missiles on Cuba.
Again this correlates to the Obama administration's denial of a terrorist threat or a war on terror in that there is fiery denial of the looming threat facing America today as there was about the Communist threat facing us then.
But when Mr Kennedy finally got his act together and started a blockade, Americans rallied to support him and Mr Khrushchev ultimately folded. However this came with a heavy price: Mr Kennedy had to agree to end any further efforts to liberate Cuba - thus letting Cubans and Cuban-Americans down.
And Cuban exiles paid a hefty price as a result of this letdown: Their weapons were stolen from them and anti-Castro refugees were routinely harassed. Florida radio stations refused pro-democracy Cuban refugees airtime and major Miami stations censored negative references to Mr Castro - whereas today Cuban-Americans have carte blanche to criticise Mr Castro; as a matter of fact two Miami radio hosts on a Spanish-language station mocked Mr Castro in a mock interview several years ago that garnered great attention in the American press - so evidently those allied with the US government in southern Florida in the early 1960s do deserve some great suspicion.
The Kennedy administration would lay a foundation for a devastating and chilling effect on democracy as they used American forces to safeguard Mr Castro's regime, causing Americans to question what side were the administration on. And Mr Kennedy had almost no real surveillance on Cuba in the end after all.
Shortly afterward Carlos Todd, editor of the Cuban Information Service would find himself rebuffed by the Kennedy Administration AGAIN - first his warnings about Soviet troops on the island were rejected and now he would find his warnings about Soviet missiles clandestinely installed in caves and other installations outside of the view of American aircraft also denied. What Joe McCarthy had been to the Eisenhower administration - Mr Todd would be to the Kennedy Administration.
Other Cuban underground groups were then joined not only by Mr Keating but by other US Congressmen as well - and they finally had to put pressure on the Kennedy Administration who finally admitted that there were far more Soviet troops - 17500 - on Cuban soil - than had previously been cited at the apparent victory Mr Kennedy had had. Furthermore American missile bases in Turkey and Italy were decommissioned in early 1963 on the basis they were "outmoded" - which was really a condition of agreement kept secret from the American government.
On 5 December 1962 Senator Richard Russell (D-GA) spoke about his assessment of the situation in Cuba and noted his suspicion about the Castro regime coming clean about their missile locations. He also indicated that the Communists have a tendency to strongarm something which they have no legitimate claim to whatsoever out of America or whatever anticommunist opponent that they may have. The Communists that have infiltrated our social justice organisations, the judiciary, the media, and the education systems have continued this methodology to today, witness the recent developments of ACORN as a primary example.
They have been bullying corporations into lending to people who might not be genuinely qualified for a loan under threat of litigation and even legislation; as a result the Democrat Congress have written payouts to ACORN into a key banking bill which is now law; in wake of their corruption Congress changed course, only to be rebuffed by a left-of-centre judge who obligated the government to continue paying ACORN.
In June 1961 Nikita Khrushchev demanded that Jack Kennedy pull American troops out of Berlin and recognise Eastern Germany and sign a peace treaty with them. The next month Mr Kennedy had to admit that his previous statement of no new demands was false and admitted Mr Khrushchev's Berlin ultimatums then affirmed that American rights in Berlin were non-negotiable. He then asked for expanded defence spending and an enlarged Army.
Within a few short weeks the Communists built the Berlin Wall that stood for almost three decades. On one of my previous inventory assignments at a military base PX in Missouri I personally witnessed a section of the Berlin Wall and noted how historical its establishment was from construction to destruction and now display. Brightly coloured paints were not uncommon particularly on the Western side of the wall, with West Berliners hoping for peace all that time and expressing hope for freedom.
But Mr Kennedy could not get his own party to help him much. Key evidence comes from Senator William Fulbright of Arkansas, whom another Arkansawyer Democrat, Bill Clinton, would look to for inspiration many years later; Mr Fulbright sought some sort of so-called accommodation as he cited the Eastern German refugees climbing the wall and heading to West Berlin and Western Germany as a problem that was embarassing Mr Khruschchev. Evidently Mr Clinton would adopt a number of his own leftist views from his examination of that Senator.
No one would accuse Mr Kennedy of being two-faced - and it would be totally unfair to render such a great man in that regard. However, you might be understood if you showed some suspicion for him in that regard if you knew that he preached for many citizens to sacrifice for the sake of beating the Communist threat from East Berlin, whilst simultaneously sextupling the export licences for shipment of goods to Communist nations, including railway equipment, synthetic rubber, and scrap metal. Could this have also influenced Mr Clinton's policy on Red China decades later in his own presidential tenure, including his push for Most Favoured Nation status for China regarding world trade? Mr Kennedy's suspect methodology of sending a mixed message could be further expressed in the simultaneous acts of considering mobilisation of 100000 National Guardsmen and reservists to meet the Communist threat and dedicating a Polish steel mill built with American taxpayers monies.
But unfortunately for Mr Kennedy he inherited a lot of American problems with Communism and Communist rivals from Mr Eisenhower. However, the method of appeasement which Mr Eisenhower employed continued under Mr Kennedy.
Case in point is the establishment of The Congo which were granted independence in 1960 and the Communist terrorist, Patrice Lumumba, would allow his nation's military to descend into marauding murderers. Soviet technicians entered the country to help back up the racist regime which began permitting cannibalism once again and inflation surged as a result of flawed fiscal policies.
Moise Tshombe however decided not to participate in the chaos - but 30 months of independence culminated in Mr Tshombe's dominion of Katanga being forced back into the Communist-dominated Congolese government by the United Nations. And they were not alone: Even the United States government under Mr Kennedy were also pressuring Katanga to rejoin The Congo.
Cyrille Adoula was rendered a "neutralist" yet voted in the Belgrade Conference in 1961 for vigourous anti-American policies. As the UN's and the US' designated premier, Mr Adoula's cabinet was loaded with communists, some of whom had trained behind the Iron Curtain. After Communists were said to have won an election to rejoin the central government of The Congo, Mr Tshombe rejected the results, and in response the UN started a war with Katanga that would last 18 months, in direct violation of their own charter, Article II Section VII:

Nothing contained in the present Charter shall authorise the United Nations to intervene in matters which are essential within the domestic jurisdiction of any state.

The US State Department DID however defend the invasion to prevent a Communist takeover of the Congo. The move did earn bipartisan condemnation of the UN - Senator Thomas Dodd (D-CT) and Congressman Donald Bruce (R-IN) condemned the efforts that included taking uncivilised, untrained Congolese terrorists in US planes to Katanga where they unleashed a fortnight's rampage of mass murder, cannibalism, rape, and pillage. We can see echoes of this from the Clinton administration in both his handling of Serbia in the dissolution of Yugoslavia and the way some UN soldiers comported themselves in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in a much-reported scandal of raping locals.
He basically ignored the latter and contributed to the mass murder of thousands of innocent Serbians in the former because the local strongman, the late Mr Milosevic, refused to allow radicals adhering to radical Islamic beliefs into his country, particularly from neighbouring Albania into his country's province of Kosovo. Also in Serbia, the United Nations basically used US aircraft and forces to ravage the countryside in the same way they would attack schools, missions, hospitals, and homes throughout Katanga in December 1961, killing countless men and women and children irrespective of colour. UN members ultimately defunded the UN and a truce was ultimately negotiated in March 1962, with Acting Secretary General U Thant (ooh taunt)(U is an honorific term in Burmese, equivalent to Mister), the Burmese-born secretariat, refusing further conflict out of fear of jeopardising $100m in annual contributions from the United States.
But nine months later following a bond purchase the UN forces eliminated the Katanga Air Force on the ground and then Adlai Stevenson - a former presidential candidate who was now serving as the US Ambassador to the United Nations - claimed that Katanga had no right to self-determination. We can correlate that to the Clinton administration's refusal to accept Serbian efforts to repel radicals from their country and the subsequent establishment of the specious government of Kosovo under the administration of the younger Mr Bush.
But the great Dr Albert Schweitzer - then an old age pensioner who was also a missionary - would slam the suppression of Katangan sovereignty. He affirmed that Katanga had nothing in common with the more northern regions of the Congo except for common history in being occupied by Belgium. He demanded that the UN - which he supported - cease all combat operations and withdraw from Katanga.
The UN naturally ignored Dr Schweitzer - and this is a fairly common trait for the UN to ignore reason and move on toward more oppression of some sort.
And though Mr Tshombe had the rapport, intellect, personality, and character that earned respect from both Blacks and Whites he was denied by the UN, by the Communists, and by the State Department - an ironic statement in that the same government working to eradicate racial dischord at home was fomenting it abroad. His American representative, Michel Struelens, was defamed viciously by the State Department, to the point of being deported to prevent him from telling the truth about the campaign against Katanga. A Senate committee subsequently investigated the State Department for denying the anti-communist Mr Tshombe a visa to visit America whilst royally welcoming Communist dignitaries and even the Angolan terrorist leaders Holden Roberto and Mario DeAndrade - the latter of whom had originally been ineligible to apply for a visa until Attorney General Robert Kennedy intervened on his behalf and granted him a waiver.
They confirmed this unjustifiable inconsistency, especially where the law indicates that people who should have been excluded from obtaining visas were allowed in whilst people who should have been allowed in were being denied entry.
Mr Kennedy also welcomed Dr Cheddi Jagan, the British Guiana dictator, and FLN terrorist-turned-Algerian dictator Ben Bella - the latter of whom was later shown kissing Fidel Castro on a trip to Cuba. Those who fully understand how Mr Kennedy's administration betrayed Mr Tshombe, Cuban freedom fighters, Laotian anti-communists, and even Europeans seeking to escape totalitarianism under Communist rule will regard a passage from his inauguration speech, "...We shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and success of liberty", with disingenuity and even contradiction.
And it looks like his successor, Mr Johnson, continued the double standard - as US Customs officials according to a report in the St Louis Globe Democrat on 30 December 1963 had seized a boat that was laden with bombs anti-communists had planned to use in Cuba against the Castro regime. We can see some corollaries to the current administration's hypocritical attitude toward government - as their opponents are being targeted by government officials - and one example is noted in the notorious Department of Homeland Security report that condemned military veterans as possible terrorists - and which Janet Napolitano defended!
As foreign policy news dominated the headlines of the early 1960s hiding the deterioration of internal security - they are doing the same right now but domestic policy is getting more attention with the increased number of news sources.
When Mr Kennedy appointed Dr James Killian Jr to coordinate and monitor a number of surveillance and security agencies, he had already established a resumé indicative of Communist involvement. For example, he opposed a Massachusetts commonwealth law that would bar communists from teaching positions, plus he demanded the abolition of a Massachusetts committee designed to investigate Communist activities. He defended communist J Robert Oppenheimer who lost his security clearance and even as Massachusetts Institute of Technology president rehired the communist professor Dirk Struik. He was also instrumental as Mr Eisenhower's scientific advisor in the halting of nuclear testing in September 1958. Another player in this scheme was Salavtore Bontempo, who having had a criminal indictment relating to disposal of surplus government property following World War II earned a brief tenure as head of the State Department's Bureau of Security - from which he resigned when Congressman Francis Walter (D-PA) warned of an investigation.
Then the State Department's budget was cut sharply, leading former CIA official John W Hanes to condemn the move as incompetence. And then there was the brave official who lost his job at the State Department for exposing the truth about dishonest State Department employees and officials: Otto Otepka, Evaluations Division Chief in the Office Of Security, had furnished the Senate Intelligence Security Subcommittee evidence that officials in his department had lied under oath about security matters, with such matters as the end of fingerprinting of alien nationals cited. We can correlate that to the basic abandonment of the War On Terror policies during the first year of the Obama Administration as a basic example. In the early 1960s Lauchlin Currie - who had given up his United States citizenship years earlier and relocated to Colombia - was involved in administering Alliance For Progress aid in that country ostensibly to fight Communism. Today that country are living under a representative republic led by Alvaro Uribe and are constantly fighting narcoterrorists who continue trying to gain a foothold in the southern jungles of that country - and Hugo Chávez, dictator of neighbouring Venezuela, has been suspected in the past of financing those terrorists.
When the Atomic Energy Commission revoked J Robert Oppenheimer's security clearance in 1954, it was discovered that he had contributed to the Communist party during World War II - and his brother, wife, and mistress were also involved in that party. He had also recommended a communist for a critical job on the secret atomic bomb project - and he had even covered up communists' attempted to obtain nuclear data.
But in June 1961 his fortunes had changed somewhat as he was sent by the Organisation of American States to tour five Latin American countries even without a security clearance. He would earn the 1963 Enrico Fermi award of $50000 in tax-free government funds per Mr Johnson in December of that year - approved by Mr Kennedy and awarded by his former employer - the Atomic Energy Commission! Evidently there was quite an about face caused by the neglect of two presidents of the mounting Communist threat.
And then Mr Johnson's handling of the asssassination of Mr Kennedy drew suspicion as he placed so many liberal folks in charge as to give the appearance of a serious coverup - this is not dissimilar to Jamie Gorelick's appointment to the commission that investigated the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001 - and Ms Gorelick was the person who built a wall between the CIA and the FBI so they could not share information. And Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren fell under media suspicion in his probe of the assassination as Time Magazine in their 3 January 1964 issue called for him and his allies to be removed. The New York Daily News surmised that Chief Justice Warren's commission would offer an anti-conservative, pro-Communist bias. Apparently the Establishment Media repeated that in the 1990s with Mr Clinton's numerous scandals and again in the past year with regard to the exposés of ACORN shenanigans.
And as the return of the likes of Owen Lattimore and Mr Oppenheimer to security positions in the 1960s posed a further threat to our national security by undermining anti-Communist policies and reverting to the policies of the 1930s - we are seeing an exact repeat of that in the 2000s with the advent of the Obama administration basically disregarding the terrorist threat and reverting to a "9/10" mentality.
When Brother Stormer pointed out that such efforts undertaken were meant to dissuade anti-communists into thinking that prior investigations were "witch hunts" - a reference to the genuine brutality undertaken by some Colonists against suspected "witches" - and thus the prior threat of communist infiltration was exaggerated. We ignored that warning back in 1964 and we failed to learn to become vigilant. We are now awakened to the full extent of totalitarian threat as proposed by the communised Democrat Congress of today.
The St Louis Post Dispatch is generally regarded as having a left of centre editorial bias. It must have been that way back then when they criticised Senator Thomas Dodd (D-CT) for questioning Mr Lattimore's trip to Mongolia, claiming that he was "stigmatised by the McCarthyites" and that he had "alleged" his influence on the State Department to regard the Chinese Communists as "agrarian reformers". That editorial completely tuned out the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee's conclusion that he had actively worked with the Soviets.
FBI Director J Edgar Hoover had a term for this sort of propagandist bias: He called it Opinion Subversion and sad to say most media outlets today practise that methodology. It is the primary reason newspapers are losing circulation and most television news sources have lost their audiences. It is how people were conditioned to regard communism as harmless.
At about that time a ban on imports of slave labour products was lifted - making consumer products from Soviet Bloc countries available on American shelves. Those nations got money to buy strategic materiel here as well. That was a forerunner to the Chinese dominance of consumer products on our store shelves today. It is a small reason we no longer manufacture many of our consumer goods anymore.
It also ties into the Commerce Department - a useless Cabinet-level department if ever I did see one - overriding strong objections from the Defence Department in 1961 to issue export permits to let the Soviet Union buy machine tools in the United States so they could grind the precision ball bearings in guided missile systems. After five halted attempts by vigilant Congressmen, the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee finally permitted the sale under the impression they were not available anywhere else in the world. More than likely the Soviets have since copied those designs and shopped them to foreign countries. Efforts to investigate corporate involvement by American companies with communist nations were quickly blocked by Commerce Secretary Luther Hodges who placed such lists as "confidential".
Also in 1961, on 17 March President Kennedy lifted a ban on importation of Communist propaganda into the United States - reversing the 13-year-old policy imposed by another Democrat President - Harry S Truman. Within nine months more than 8m(illion) propaganda packages from the USSR, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Red China flowed into the States - and were mailed to churches and schools and homes and libraries across the country - at American taxpayer expense. The State Department encouraged further propagation of this propaganda in the face of Congressional action to ban the practise - and a Maryland company would publish a Soviet magazine, USSR, available at American newsstands of that time. Today such a magazine would not be necessary - Time, Newsweek, US News and World Report, The Nation, and The New Republic would suffice, given their entrenched liberal biases. Anti-communist groups that sprang up in the 1950s and 1960s would be suppressed shortly afterward, but since that time Americans have awakened to the danger of communism and rejected it even as schools, the legal profession, and the media have embraced it.
Anti-communist films were then removed from military education programmes and a military officer lost his command for showing the documentary, Operation Abolition, a film produced by a Congressional committee about communist-inspired riots in San Francisco. Numerous anti-communist seminars at military bases were cancelled abruptly.
And guess which Arkansawyer was behind a memorandum that basically said that the American people did not need to be alerted to any Communist threat?

Senator William Fulbright.

And there is another parallel - actually two - Mr Clinton basically blew off the human rights violations of the Red Chinese for the sake of enhancing their Most Favoured Nation status and getting them into the World Trade Organisation, thus leading to their practises of dumping inferior products and artificially holding down the value of the yuan to the dollar - and Mr Obama's administration basically turning their backs on the terrorist threat.
As a result of Mr Fulbright's memorandum, some 1500 speeches from the Eisenhower and Kennedy administrations were heavily censored with anti-communist references edited or deleted. And the venerable Senator Strom Thurmond - then a Democrat - was amongst those who sought to learn more about who ordered the censorship. The Administration and the spokesmen basically "pled the fifth". The President himself - John Fitzgerald Kennedy - had ordered the names of any censors involved withheld.
And anyone working a federal government job was suddenly forced to stop criticising Communism - as diverse as Forest Ranger Don Caron who was driven away from his job by the Agriculture Department for writing a column about fighting Communism and a very liberal Agriculture Secretary, Orville Freeman, who planned to show the failures of Soviet slave labour farming against the successes of American agriculture in a speech that was censored. What an ironic about face to a president that had pledged support for healthy ideological discourse in his first State of the Union address months earlier.
Anti-communist movements in the United States bothered the Kremlin to the point where American media outlets started getting involved in a drive against them, even to the point where anti-communists were targeted extensively.
Psychological warfare expert Edward Hunter, author of the book, Brainwashing: From Pavlov To Powers, testified before the Senate Intelligence Security Subcommittee and exposed the Moscow manifesto of 5 December 1960 that slammed anti-communism as a "bourgeoisie" threat to Socialism. We could easily compare that to a number of present-day left-of-centre arguments regarding marriage, taxation, race relations, Islam, Christianity, and the right to life.
According to Mr Hunter's testimony Communist Party USA general secretary Gus Hall sought a unity of the left in order to slam and then undermine "fascist" opposition to communism - as "fascist" is their operative word for anyone opposed to Communism. However, a clear examination of their totalitarian policies puts them in the role of the REAL "fascists".
Mr Hall's article appeared in the Communist publication, The Worker, to seek ways to influence the Kennedy Administration to shut out the "ultra-right". In similar fashion Mr Obama's administration has been sought out by radical Islamic groups to seek ways to change public policy regarding religion - as they already have with regard to education and the media. Mr Hunter also exposed the Communist's definitions of "peace" (a populace's total acceptance of Communism) and "democracy" (the police state typical to any Communist nation). Before long Mr Hall's party line was adopted by major newspapers and radio and TV news all of which quickly started smearing anti-communists. And the John Birch Society were a favourite target of the Communists who sought to link all anti-communist outlets to them.
Mr Hunter even described the fraud of a biased book, The Fascist Revival, which claimed to tell the "inside story" of that outfit. It has been a steady drumbeat by the Establishment Media ever since. As a result in November of 1961 Mr Kennedy spoke about "extremism" that he saw in the anti-communist movement - and about three weeks later Mr Hoover delivered a stinging rebuttal. It was a total about face from the Congressman John Kennedy of 1948 who criticised Franklin Roosevelt for selling out Poland to the Communists.
And whilst Mr Kennedy talked about maintaining national defence - the State Department published Document 7277 - Freedom From War: The United States Programme For General And Complete Disarmament In A Peaceful World - that described the elimination of nuclear testing, nuclear weapons production, anti-missile missiles, and defencive weapons. It even extended as far as eliminating personal firearms even for hunting purposes - a dream for the highly treasonous Brady Campaign, originally known as Handgun Control Inc.
Senator John Tower (R-TX) took issue with the document and slammed the State Department's rejection of the Communist threat. It is the same as present-day Republican politicians condemning radical Muslims and key elements of the Democrat agenda. He was challenged by Democrat Senator Joseph Clark of Pennsylvania.
Congress would pass a public law establishing the Arms Control And Disarmament Agency right after Mr Kennedy spoke to the UN on 25 September 1961 expressing the same basic concepts as document· Their efforts to "condition" Americans toward the concept of disarmament have been limited however; most Americans still cling to traditional freedoms and the need for a strong national defence; support for both of those have been strengthened in the past 30 years.
Senator Barry Goldwater (R-AZ) even exposed a proposed joint destruction by the US and the USSR of 60 military aircraft - 30 from each country. This was just one of many components of a planned weakening of national defence - including the rejection of the supersonic RS-70 bomber, which Defence Secretary McNamara called "unnecessary" - and the closest comparisons to that are the policies of President Clinton which left the Defence Department gutted and similar proposals designed by the Obama Administration. Along those lines European and Moroccan bases were closed and aircraft were brought back to the United States. Minuteman missiles and Polaris submarines were also reduced in funding.  And whilst America tested the Nike Zeus missile successfully in 1961 and then shelved the project - it is suspected that the Soviets stole that design for their own use or developed their own.
And it was admitted on 17 April 1963 that Soviet missiles could indeed intercept American Polaris missiles. A month earlier Mr Goldwater had condemned the dismantling, delays, and decommissioning of numerous elements of our defence systems - "this is disarmament". And still Mr Kennedy condemned the anti-communists.
Mr Johnson started scrapping the Dyna-Soar and the B-70 almost immediately - which laid the foundation for our defeat in the Viet Nam Conflict. Nuclear testing monitoring stations were drastically reduced as the Soviets were allowed to walk all over the United States and let communist monitors carry out inspections and leave American and the West out of the process when suspected ground tremors and radioactive fallout were detected. The Soviets were trusted to monitor their own nuclear tests of course.
But the Soviets were carrying out tests of their own as they negotiated - another sign we should not have trusted them, particularly not with their explosion of a 58-megaton bomb in October 1961. They had been demanding no inspections at all - and were not willing to accept a test ban that would not include inspections of their own activities. Yet that is what the US agreed to in July 1963 - a no-inspection nuclear test ban - which mirrored a November 1961 proposed treaty the Soviets offered. Sounds like a shakedown if you ask me.
But the no-win policy advocated in the early 1960s would ultimately be tested and fail in the end as events that took place in the 1980s would bring about American victory over the Soviets. Some Kennedy Administration critics alleged that the no-win policy was a tacit plan to surrender to Communism. Most newspapers ridiculed such critics.
However, Secretary Of State George Ball, affirmed that the Eastern Bloc nations would ultimately change their policies and become more peaceful and come away from aggressive Communism. They did - when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 and the Soviet Union collapsed after the United States under the leadership of Ronald Reagan bolstered their defence. This was further underscored in a famous meeting in Reykjavík, Iceland, when Mr Reagan rejected a nuclear arms treaty with the Soviets and then affirmed a simple but effective policy on the Cold War: 'We win, they lose'.
Vladimir Lenin had claimed that communism and capitalism were antagonistic - even as the Kennedy/Johnson administration would assume that communists had "mellowed" when the reality is they were amongst the most vicious regimes. Such erroneous assumptions have put hundreds of millions under that kind of tyranny. As we looked at them as an aggressor - they saw us as an aggressor.
The last two pages of the chapter are about news management. I hardly need to tell you how that went. The Kennedy and Johnson administrations would micromanage information, sometimes giving out false information - and you can see how the Obama, Clinton, and even Carter administrations function - and some would argue that both Presidents Bush operated on more or less the same plane.
When in 1962 Arthur Sylvester - the Assistant Secretary of Defence for Public Information - affirmed the government's inherent "right to lie" - he affirmed what most Americans knew at that time - and what we had come to forget in succeeding years - yet had to relearn in recent years - that "the American people can have no faith, no trust in anything told them by their government leaders". (p 92) We have had to relearn this because from the days of the Great Society onward we got complacent, lazy, and even ignorant.
The advent of the Internet has made us more knowledgeable and better informed - as have talk radio and other independent media outlets like Fox News and National Review magazine. Those things have further shown how important it is to think for ourselves and to learn to observe government with careful attention - and even keep them in line. In a sense we are becoming more like the Americans of previous generations that knew not to trust government blindly. That lesson was reaffirmed with the election of a Republican senator in Massachusetts earlier this week.

MARXIST AGITATORS ATTACK CALIFORNIA MARRIAGE LAW - AGAIN

First of all I want you to know that I DID NOT! decide to put this article first because I thought it was more important than the rest.
To the contrary it simply happened to come up first in the news rotation and quickly got buried by the next story if anything.
However it is important in that once again Marxist agitators have once again tried to interfere with the right of the people of the State of California to amend their constitution..all over a matter of their perception of civil rights.
Yes, once again we are talking about a very sticky and very thorny issue indeed.
When Californians voted in 2000 to approve a law that established the legal definition of marriage as the exclusive province of the union of one man and one woman with more than 61,2 percent of the vote the matter had been originally settled.
But in May of 2008 several Marxist agitators were allowed to prevail by a mislocated state Supreme Court who then determined in arbitrary and fraudulent fashion that the people were unfit to decide the issue of marriage. And because they agitated in the name of the homosexual some 18000 gay couples were able to marry until November 2008 when the people of the Golden State voted to amend the state constitution to define marriage as the exclusive province of the union of one man and one woman.
The margin was a bit smaller - 54 percent of California voters, including some two-thirds of Negro and Hispanic voters - and certainly the battle was very brutal - largely because of Marxists and other irrational partisans showing extreme intolerance toward supporters of Proposition 8 in exhibitions that sometimes resorted to battery and vandalism.
But that was not good enough for the agitators who are now trying to make the United States District Court in San Francisco annul the constitutional amendment that enjoyed popular approval. They cannot handle the reality that in EVERY state WITHOUT exception where the people have been allowed to vote on marriage they have voted to establish a one man one woman definition of marriage. Evidently the most vocal radicals do not care what the people think or what the people want - this thin fringe minority are constantly demanding that the courts change the way things are done and think they can do this with total impugnity as they have done on a number of other issues.
But such is the way of Marxists - and understanding how such people have acted through history clarifies the whole story behind the latest assault on marriage as well as the latest assault on the democratic process. They are clearly behind this latest attack on the right of the people to amend their constitutions. This is NOT a matter of equality - Marxists, Communists, and other stonehearted socialists have repeatedly proven that they exercise anything but - and their examples of elitism are described in accounts taking place in venues as varied as Moscow, Santa Monica, Peking, Caracas, Harare, Berkeley, Pyongyang, Hanoi, East Berlin, Praha, Habana, Oslo, Amsterdam, and even Ottawa. It has been clearly stated by the great socialist-turned-anticommunist author, George Orwell, in the books Animal Farm and 1984, after he witnessed firsthand the horrors of communist rule in the 1930s in the Soviet Union.
Another reason for noting Habana's involvement in such Marxist ways coupled with judicial tyranny by leftist judges and attorneys is noting that the longterm dictator of Cuba, Mr Castro, was a lawyer who was educated in the United States. And his markedly left-of-centre views have been echoed by other attorneys such as living examples like Lynne Stewart, the traitor who aided and abetted terrorists and was subequently arrested for such, and deceased examples like William Kunstler, the infamous sharpie who defended radical groups like the Weather Underground, the Black Panthers, and the American Indian Movement.
Whilst they do have a right to express themselves in our society - they must be carefully examined, by those around them. Unfortunately, a number of groups associated with civil rights movements for groups of people based upon race, colour, sex, and sexuality have allowed fringe radicals including Marxists to infiltrate their ranks. That is how so many groups associated with homosexuals have earned a disfavourable repute - because decent people who happen to be gay have been asleep at the switch. This is why radicals have managed to make the courts change the laws to suit their methodology, with "hate" crimes and changing the definition of marriage at or near their forefront.
This is NOT to indicate that opposition to homophobia is a radical viewpoint - if anything it is mainstream and people in every religious and ethnic group condemn homophobia. They simply do not think that we have to change every law to suit every fractious group - and seeing how gays and lesbians comprise maybe four to five percent of our population what is the real point of changing the law just to suit them? The 2000s are not the 1950s or the 1960s. The civil rights battles have already been fought. The Negro has already achieved equality with the Caucasian - as have the Hispanic, the Asian, the Native American, the Pacific Islander, the Asian Indian, and even the Middle Easterner. And he dislikes the assertion that the gay man's struggle is similar to the Negro's struggle.
Marriage was originally established millenia ago as an outlet for procreation. Of course there are childless marriages - and children born to unmarried parents as well - but allowing two men to marry each other or two women to marry each other - however genuine their love, and generally it is as genuine as that which a man and a woman may share for each other - represents a contrary value, with many even most fearing a slippery slope.
But instead of talking about how polygamy, bestiality, and pederasty could be forthcoming as a result, let us focus on the real issue here - which is the federal government allowing the people to change their state constitution; a constitutional ruling, that Proposition 8 and the resultant amendment to the Constitution of the State of California officially defining marriage as the exclusive province of the union of one man and one woman are indeed constitutional, is inevitable in this case, because not only would a constitutional ruling reaffirm such rights that are reserved to the people of the States under the Tenth Amendment, but also that neither the United States District Court Northern California Division nor the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals - the most overturned Circuit Court - dare risk the intense ire of not only Californians but also the American people.

REID WAS ALREADY DOOMED WITHOUT HIS REFERENCE TO A NEGRO DIALECT - AND WHAT THE HELL IS A NEGRO DIALECT ANYWAY?

When Harry Reid was exposed for saying that the President, Mr Obama, was a "light skinned African-American with no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one", the Senate Majority Leader and Nevada Democrat was already on the outs with his people.
What the hell is a "Negro dialect" first of all? I cannot for the life of me think of any specific speech pattern that would be peculiar to the American Negro or for that matter the Negro populace of ANY country. I DO know however that the Negro has contributed to our vocabulary in a number of ways, including our informal speech. But some Negroes have slammed some of the more basic examples of informal speech by their brothers and sisters as adopting bad speech habits.
But if Mr Reid meant to say a Negro accent, well, what the hell is the matter with a Negro accent? I cannot help how the typical American Negro sounds when he or she speaks! And I don't see that much of a problem with that accent anyway; besides most Negroes are VERY articulate, and intelligent and well-informed to boot! That I have not noticed such an accent in Mr Obama's voice does not make him any more or less of a person - or an SOB in this case.
But people who want to deride Mr Reid for his comments about Mr Obama are shortsighted and missing the whole picture. Admittedly Mr Reid is an old age pensioner who grew up at a different time. He grew up using the terms "coloured" and "Negro" as well as "Black". And admittedly I myself appear a bit anachronistic - though I usually refer to them as Blacks, sometimes I refer to them as Negroes - and occasionally even as Africans - it is already understood that if they are living in the United States that they are Americans. My own father uses the term "coloured" - and we still have the prominent organisations National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People (which was started by CAUCASIAN REPUBLICANS) and the United Negro College Fund.
So it clearly cannot be stated that Mr Reid is racist - he is merely misanthropic. He used the wrong term applicable to Mr Obama's voice. This is one time I can comfortably disagree with
Mrs Palin.
But then again it cannot be said that all Blacks use the same accent - many DO learn to speak English just like their Caucasian neighbours, with some having a Southern accent, some having a New York or Northeastern accent, and some having a flat Western or Midwestern accent. That last accent is also fairly common in southern Florida and in Hawaii.
And just as there are people offended by Mr Reid's words - there are also a number of folks who are NOT offended by his words, such as
this Black columnist from Iowa. I myself am not offended either - as a Hispanic and as a Native American - and I would not be offended if Mr Reid stated that I were an articulate Hispanic American who did not speak with a Spanish accent, or in his case a Spanish dialect. If anything I would wear it as a badge of pride - because it would mean that I chose to speak the English language properly - which is what we expect ALL who enter or live in the United States to do.
Maybe it stemmed from Pop chewing me out when I was a freshman in high school, talking like Cheech Marin and laughing like Robert Carradine's character Lewis Skolnick from the cult classic movie, Revenge Of The Nerds. He told me I should not "talk like a Chicano" - and he is of Spanish and Portuguese descent himself. And from there I sought to learn how to appropriately speak the English language.
Now some folks have raised the treatment of Trent Lott, the former Senate Majority Leader from Mississippi who expressed appreciation of the late Strom Thurmond during his run for President decades earlier. He was derided by the Left and practically driven to resign as a result of the subsequent firestorm. I myself did not think his remarks were out of line either and I certainly don't think that he deserved the treatment he got. Why should Mr Reid get the same treatment? Because he used an anachronism and a misanthropic term? Good Lord! Do like Fox Business commentator John Stossel when he used to be with ABC News and give me a break!
And I can understand Michael Steele's angst regarding Mr Reid's use of such terminology but Mr Steele's criticism is a bit
shortsighted as well. I admit however that he along with Mrs Palin and a number of other prominent Republicans have genuine concern - after all their party have a prominent role in the Negro's ability to participate in American society as an equal to his Caucasian neighbour that has been proven time after time through history. Mr Reid has already screwed his reputation because of the policies of his party and his policies as Senate Majority Leader.
There is no need for responding to this smokescreen. Leave this matter alone and focus on his designs for government healthcare and greater government control instead.

MS COAKLEY'S BIG MISTAKE - FAVOURING A POLITICAL ALLY WHO TURNED OUT TO BE A BRUTAL PAEDOPHILE

Think the Massachusetts Attorney General and Media's Senator-Select, Martha Coakley, has a track record worthy of the United States Senate?

Think again.

Ms Coakley has shown blithering incompetence, getting her policy on child molestation cases back to front - not only by
going after two innocent grandparents over falsified charges of molestation but also the blatant mishandling of a grotesque child rape case involving a policeman who violated an infant girl with a hot hair curler.
And it is this case involving a Somerville policeman who later ended up getting two life sentences for the horrific crimes he committed against that poor, poor, dear little girl - his own niece - that is gaining all kinds of attention.
Even as Fox News prepare a special report at the weekend before the big showdown in the Bay State - an
irrational partisan Establishment Media columnist continues cheerleading for this incompetent boor Ms Coakley, who originally recommended simply releasing the ex-policeman, and now there are revelations that that policeman actually had political connexions to Ms Coakley.
Whilst she went on to defeat a man angered by the case in her next election, her successor as local prosecutor finally did the right thing and prosecuted the policeman, to the point where he wound up receiving two consecutive life terms.
The Winfield case, as it has become known, has enraged growing numbers of Massachusetters as well as other Americans and has further sullied her repute. It is no wonder that the late Larry Frisoli
challenged her in 2006 after successfully gaining a symbolic judgment of more than $300m against two paedophiles who violated and dismembered Jeffrey Curley.
Ms Coakley is clearly finding herself on a vertical cliff unable to surmount the ledge - and is just about to fall off. Her record as a district attorney, if we are to use this case alone as a standard, may have just become irreparably damaged, no matter how much she claims to have taken on other interests she saw as hostile to the interests of the people - as she has gotten the matter of paedophilia-related cases back to front - and with the fact that even a convict or a lifer has complete contempt for paedophiles, particularly those who served as policemen, she has clearly shown that she is not only against the children but also against the people of Massachusetts in general.

UNION TAX BREAKS PUT DEMOCRAT LEADERS IN CROSSHAIRS OVER HEALTHCARE DEAL

Just when you thought it was a done deal - another snag has rocked the Democrats' effort to impose government healthcare upon we the people.
When Democrat Congressional leaders struck a deal with labour unions to
shield their high value health care plans from taxation for five additional years it wasn't only Republican leaders screaming, FOUL.
Even Democrats are suspicious of the plan.
Take for instance Doug Schoen, the strategist who identified a $60bn hole in the legislation as a result. Mr Schoen, who worked with Mr Clinton during his 1996 campaign for President as well as with the former British prime minister, Mr Blair, and his Italian counterpart, Mr Berlusconi, has now shown where this would run contrary to Mr Obama's claims that the healthcare scheme would be "deficit neutral".
It is no secret that Mr Obama heavily favours the now-shrunken union labour base - and his Democrat allies have shown a like bias with their support of the so-called "card check" legislation. The grossly-misnamed "Employee Free Choice Act" signalled that party's blatant hostility toward American society and the economy as well as business - and this backroom deal further affirms that reality.
This is adding only more fuel to the fire to the TEA Party folks - as well as other disaffected Americans who no longer feel appropriately represented. Anticipate that this bill is ever closer to failure - and even the "blue dog" Democrats that Ms Pelosi and Mr Reid and Mr Obama managed to cajole on board could back away from the final product.
The votes alone did not signify that this was a fait accompli - as more details arise more and more people have objected vociferously, not only on the conservative side of the aisle but from all ideological perspectives. If the American electorate were poised to show these politicos no mercy come 2 November 2010 - the date of this year's general election - then this deal has yet again further confirmed that reailty.

THE UNITED NATIONS PROPOSE GLOBAL FINANCIAL TAX

Do you use the internet for financial transactions or even just to browse webpages?

If so, the United Nations
may want YOU to pay a tax for it.

The idea of establishing a global tax on internet usage would not, contrary to the claims offered, "finance the rapid transformation of the global medical industry", but instead stifle internet usage especially in developing countries it is ostensibly supposed to help, WITHOUT raising such funds.
The idea of an international tax on something so vital in our lives is an asinine idea and must immediately be rejected by sensible people and certainly by sensible governments. Considering that most countries are in economic recession or depression such a tax would NOT help any society at all; most Western nations, on top of Americans, would object to such a tax.
And this does not sound like a conspiracy theory - globalism has been dictated by the United Nations for a number of years and during that time we have had two presidents who have appeased such a policy. And in every case both presidents have met with extreme objection from the American people. In fact one of them has faced scathing condemnations from political opponents in his first year in office.
When you have the World Health Organisation's "Expert Working Group" demanding that richer nations set aside a portion of their gross domestic product for financing "the shift in worldwide research and development" or even demanding that developing nations like China, Venezuela, and India to pay more - you are witnessing another sign of Marxist extremism in play - and any political leader willing to accede to such demands would be foolhardy to do so as he or she would immediately compromise not only the individual freedoms of others but also their finances.
The UN get more than enough money already - especially from the United States - to finance their programmes. They are better off finding areas of waste in their budgets and instead of demanding more, relocate the pork in their budgets to schemes like medical research and development.

EX-UN INSPECTOR RITTER EXPOSED AS PAEDOPHILE IN ARREST

Years after his false assessment about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq under the late dictator Mr Hussein, Pennsylvania police have successfully caught Scott Ritter on webcam in an act of self-gratification as part of his arrest for a number of charges including lewd internet conversation with a minor - because he was chatting with a policewoman masquerading as a 15-year-old girl and soliciting sex with minors.
A nine-month investigation exposed Mr Ritter for his criminal folly when he was finally hauled in for some interesting charges including criminal use of a communications facility. And it looks like he had done the same thing before, as he had been charged in a dismissed June 2001 case where he had allegedly solicitied a 16-year old girl and investigated in an April 2001 case involving a 14-year-old girl.
And this is the type of person the Left hailed as a hero for falsely claiming that there were "no WMDs" and railing against the younger Mr Bush's administration as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. Evidently they have their priorities out of order - as does Mr Ritter. Mr Ritter needs to address this problem in short order - before he winds up locked up for an extended stay and even gets a starring role on Lockup Raw on MSNBC.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REVEREND KING!

Eighty-one years ago yesterday the Reverend Dr Martin Luther King Jr was born in Atlanta.
As we all know he shone a bright light on segregation and other policies of racial intolerance whilst helping to advance race relations and equalise the Negro's role in American society. He used pacifist principles to bring about real change in ways most of us could never fathom - for the right reasons. His work was the influence of two key civil rights acts in the 1960s.

Here is a brilliant poem that I found about the Reverend King's life. I thought you might like to read it as well.

Thirty-Nine Years - Too Short - Too Long - Long Enough

Oh, the worst of all tragedies is not to die young, but to live until I am seventy-five and yet not ever truly to have lived.
                                                       ----Martin Luther King Jr.

From 1929 to 1968 is only 39 short years.
Too short to gather the fruits of your labor
Too short to comfort your parents when your brother drowns
Too short to comfort your father when mother dies
Too short to see your children finish school
Too short to ever enjoy grandchildren
Too short to know retirement
Thirty-nine years is just too short.

From 1929 to 1968 is only 39 short years, yet it's

Too long to be crippled by the manacles of segregation and the chains of discrimination, it's
Too long to stand in the quicksand of racial injustices, it's
Too long to receive threatening phone calls, often at the rate of forty per day, it's
Too long to live under the sweltering heat of continuous pressure, it's
Too long,
39 years is just too long.

From 1929 to 1968 is only 39 short years, yet it's Long enough.

It's long enough to journey all the way to India to learn under a great teacher how to walk through angry crowds and keep cool.
It's long enough to be chased by police dogs and lashed by the rushing waters from the fireman's hoses because you are dramatizing the fact that justice has a way of eluding me and my brother.
It's long enough to spend many days in jail while protesting the plight of others. It's long enough to have a bomb thrown into your home.
It's long enough to teach angry violent men to be still while you pray for the bombers.

It's long enough.

It's long enough to lead many men to Christianity.
It's long enough to know it's better to go to war for justice than to live in peace with injustices.
It's long enough to know that more appalling than bigotry and hatred are those who sit still and watch injustices each day in silence.
It's long enough to realize that injustices are undiscriminating and people of all races and creeds experience its cruel captivity sooner or later.

It's long enough.

It's long enough to know that when one uses civil disobedience for his civil rights, he does not break the laws of the Constitution of the United States of America - rather he seeks to uphold the principles all men are created equal; he seeks to break down local ordinances that have already broken the laws of the Constitution of the United States.

It's long enough.

It's long enough to accept invitations to speak to the nation's leaders.
It's long enough to address thousands of people on hundreds of different occasions. It's long enough to lead 200,000 people to the nation's capital to dramatize that all of America's people are heirs to the property of rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
It's long enough to enter college at 15.
It's long enough to finish and earn several degrees.
It's long enough to earn hundreds of awards.
It's long enough to marry and father four children.
It's long enough to become a drum major for peace.
It's long enough to earn a Nobel Peace Prize.
It's long enough to give the $54,000 prize money to the cause of justice.
It's long enough to visit the mountain top.
It's certainly long enough to have a dream.

When we note how much Martin Luther King packed into 39 short years, we know it's long enough for any man who loves his country and his fellow man so much that life itself has no value - unless all men can sit at the table of brotherhood as brothers.

Thirty-nine years is long enough - for any man to knowingly flirt with death each day of his life - because to spare himself heartaches and sorrow meant two steps backward for his brother tomorrow.

Martin lived for several centuries, all rolled into 39 short years. His memory will live forever. How wonderful it would be if we could all live as well.
Martin, like all others, would have welcomed longevity - yet when he weighed the facts, he said, "It's not how long a man lives, but how well he uses the time allotted him."

And so we salute and honor the memory of a man who lived in the confusion of injustice for all his too short, too long, long enough 39 years-

"For He's Free At Last."

The week started with three prominent Democrats - two United States Senators and a Governor - announcing their intentions not to seek reelection. First came the announcement from US Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT) who amidst a ferocious populace decided to forego a reelection bid.
Word is the Nutmeg State's longstanding attorney general, Mr Blumenthal, is
now campaigning for Mr Dodd's seat. Mr Dodd had lost a lot of favour in the eyes of most Connecticutters - and his role in the massive bailouts and porkulus bills did not help matters either.
With a
stunning seismic shift in the Nutmeg State's political landscape it may be clear that the people are seeking to return to common sense and to more traditional fiscal policies instead of exploding government pork. The departure of Mr Dodd from the political scene represents a unique opportunity for a successor to make a new start.
And though Mr Blumenthal is a more liberal Democrat he represents a potential fresh start and even an effective voice toward genuine reforms that don't necessarily compromise pocketbooks or freedom. His nearly two-decade tenure of leadership in his post should help him to a degree, but he will have to remember where he came from and where he made it from and to stay connected to the people.
He must absolutely not allow himself to be disconnected from the people if he should find himself headed to Washington. His connexion to the people has benefitted him through the years. And though Mr Blumenthal is not alone in his bid his name recognition could be his strong suit. However, his repute is important, but his rivals will be sure to present their own qualifications. They too will need to present their own arguments. Any one of them could easily end up a more suitable replacement for the five-term veteran Mr Dodd.

BYRON DORGAN has had quite the temporal impact this week in the United States Senate.
The North Dakota Democrat shocked the political establishment in Washington when he
announced his retirement on Tuesday.
Consequently he has basically thrown the race to the state governor, John Hoeven, who has now
announced that he could indeed run for the Senate.
Mr Hoeven's policies have resulted in low unemployment and budget surpluses - clearly a sign of proper management of state taxpayer finances. Those factors by themselves warrant serious consideration by any voter. He has clearly demonstrated the very factors heavily in demand not only by North Dakotans but also by voters in all of the other 49 states. Those will benefit him come election time should he decide to run.
Whilst this is not to say for certain that Mr Hoeven will be taking his place on the Senate floor in the next year, this will certainly prove a great improvement over Mr Dorgan's tax and spend big government statism. Mr Dorgan's retirement
may have just given the GOP their best pickup opportunity this season.

In the Centennial State, a new governor will be imminent come this time next year.
That's because Colorado Governor Bill Ritter has shocked the state political establishment by
announcing his intent not to run for reelection.
With speculation ranging from how much would Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, himself a former Colorado attorney general and United States Senator, who has
himself chosen not to run, would make upon the Democrat field, to the prospect of Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, who was encouraged to run by Mr Obama himself, this is another HUGE opportunity for the Republicans - IF they get their act together.
Even a mediocre Republican can easily take this governor's manse - though a conservative Republican would secure a decisive victory and even encourage other state Republican committees to get in line with the conservative majorities present in every Western state, INCLUDING California.
Put it another way - if you cut out Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area you have a strong conservative base in California, the liberalism of the cities of San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Eureka, Sacramento, and Monterey notwithstanding.
And in that state Ms Boxer and Ms Feinstein, the two senators who are both from the Bay Area, are losing a lot of popular support - with Ms Boxer trailing prospective Republican challenger Carly Fiorina, a former Hewlett Packard executive.
With growing disfavour from the electorates of Western states regarding flawed ecological policies that keep fertile fields fallow for the sake of minuscule fish there is no question that a massive political earthquake is about to erupt not only in the United States but also at the state level of practically every state - especially where Democrats are dominant.
If ever there were a year for such an earthquake 2010 would be it. Already some pundits are projecting double figure losses for the Democrats not only in the House but even the Senate - and I cannot see any way the Republicans could not pick up at least 11 seats in the United States Senate let alone a triple figure (100 or more) sum of seats in the House of Representatives.
Anticipate a massive turnout in the fall - maybe above 70 percent - and losses that the Democrats have not sustained in a century. The losses the DNC are about to suffer will dwarf the 1994 election results that saw a sitting House Speaker voted out - when George Nethercutt, a Republican defeated Tom Foley, the Washington State Democrat who was the Speaker in 1994.

WILL MR KENNEDY'S REPLACEMENT BE A REPUBLICAN?

He could be the first Republican to represent Massachusetts in the United States Senate since Edward Brooke III - the first Negro to represent that state in that specific body - left at the end of his second term on 3 January 1979.
He has blasted a 30pt poll deficit down to near a dead heat in a matter of weeks in the race for a special election to replace the late Edward Michael Kennedy, who spent almost three-fifths of his life in the United States Senate representing the Bay State.
And now there are a few liberal pollsters
coming out against Scott Brown in their support for the Media's Candidate, Martha Coakley, the State's Attorney General. There are spurious results favouring Ms Coakley by a large margin.
There is already talk that the Democrats are
trying to find suspicious ways to keep him out of office even if he wins the election - suspicious methods that have even involved not only labour unions like the SEIU gang but also even the notorious neocommunist fringe lunatic gang MoveOn.
Mr Brown has been
narrowing the gap in fundraising against Ms Coakley and gaining momentum with an increasingly outraged electorate in the Bay State, angered at radicalism mandated from Washington and the state capital, Boston, fomented further by government healthcare proposals and other Washington power grabs. It's a fact that Ms Coakley has not ignored.
As we have learnt, the Democrats are running scared, so scared that some veterans are already bailing out and others are trying to shore up what they can, including the concept that they are entitled to both of the United States Senate seats from Massachusetts. The people are about to send them a rude awakening at the rate things are going, given the collective anger aimed at the left-of-centre Democrats running things in Boston and Washington.
There is a growing likelihood that Mr Brown is about to take Mr Kennedy's seat - and stop the filibuster-proof majority that the Democrats so eagerly seek from formulating.
And this anger will spill over into any coming state elections - and may bring new leadership to Boston as well. A new round of tea parties are about to take place over much more than a three percent tax that fuelled the 1773 original. This anger has been fomenting for years now as policies affecting schools and society have angered the masses to the point where confrontations are increasingly common.
The issues facing Massachusetters are fuelling angst and anxiety - and some will be justifiably concerned. Rest assured that you are not the problem - it is the bureaucrats and politicians in the State House and Senate in Boston that have despoiled their state's own parliament, to the point where some might like to choose random names from the phone book as their replacements. I'm tempted to go to a state prison and pick out some lifers myself. Anything would be better.
And as for those worried about progressive political and social equality - some of that work was done for the wrong reasons anyway and was rooted in the Marxist method of special treatment for certain groups in the name of false diversity. Maybe it is better to eliminate those methods and devise new ones specifically designed to ensure REAL equality for ALL people - that are rooted in traditional freedoms and values.
My impression of Ms Coakley is that she comes off too cold and too curt and too self-centred as she is testy about not having an easy cake walk to Washington. Mr Brown by comparison is a bit more approachable and respectful, and that will also play a small factor on the people's impression. He just made this race a lot closer than the Democrats and their allies are comfortable with - and given the increased angst and disapproval toward that party in the Northeast you can bet that doors are about to open for the GOP and they can succeed if only they will capitalise.
I would not be surprised to see a Republican Senator from Massachusetts when all is settled. This will portend a dire warning for Democrats - which the party bosses will probably not heed let alone spin however they think is best to spin the situation. But this is also a firm warning to the GOP as they will positively HAVE to bring forth straightforward, articulate, intelligent, knowledgable, conservative candidates.

...AND THE FALLOUT CONTINUES FROM THE CHRISTMAS DAY BOMB PLOT

With the fingerpointing clearly underway on both sides of the ideological aisle, it is clear to see just how much the bizarre Christmas Day aeroplane bombing plot hatched by a radical Nigerian Muslim who dared to stuff explosive powder in his undergarments has truly rattled the American people.
As more revelations come to light about how the screeners mishandled this and the Transportation Security Administration mishandled that, we can see just how far off the mark Mr Obama and his administration clearly are regarding their approach to terrorism - and how quickly they must abandon their pre-11 September point of view.
New screening procedures are being implemented yet we are now starting to see a few certain folks from certain ethnic and religious groups complaining about the one thing most Americans are screaming for in increasing numbers: racial profiling.
We are seeing the imminent implementation of the use of full body scanners - but unfortunately the new procedures have resulted in the destruction of at least two children's Christmas gifts from Grandmum, when the TSA agents basically stole the PlayDoh dough from those poor children. Maybe Grandmum should have arranged to ship those gifts via Priority Mail instead.
And that may be the very thing that needs to be done: Folks, you might want to reconsider giving visiting relatives such gifts - at least if they must fly anyway. Better to ship them via ground if possible. The USPS will gladly ship your clay and PlayDoh(TM) gifts - as will FedEx and UPS.
However, the new screening procedures could be of great help to TSA agents. Technology however will go only so far. Common sense - I mean REAL common sense - MUST be used by such agents. This means knowing WHO were actually involved - and everyone knows that the REAL culprits of terrorist activity are young men who happen to have Arab roots and connexions to radicalism designed to pervert the teachings of Allah and Muhammad. After all, all 19 of the 11 September terrorists were young Arab men involved with radical perversions of Islam.
But does that make all young Arab men terrorist or even terror suspects?
Absolutely not!
Even the Muslim communities of the United States tend to condemn such inclinations as most of the Imams and other Muslim community leaders tend to discourage and even condemn terrorist activity, not only because they know we the people are watching, but also because they understand the gravity of terrorist activity and they are fighting like hell to make sure their faith is portrayed positively and their followers are seen to be as productive and honourable as possible.
Racial and religious profiling is NOT my first choice. It is actually something I am disgusted with. However, I understand that it may be necessary in order to further ensure no further terrorist plots against America. Profiling may not solve everything, but it will certainly go much further than just technical screening alone. As it stands visitors from certain countries are already being quizzed further when flying to the United States, and this is being undertaken by some European countries as well.
Maybe we need to adopt the approach taken by Israel in order to further secure ALL of the people who fly our airlines - Muslim and otherwise. They tend to question certain people from certain countries much more intensely.
One thing is for certain: We cannot allow any more lapses in judgment or in security. We see an administration that are now forced to reevaluate their approach toward terrorism. Mr Obama, Ms Napolitano, Mr Brennan, and the rest must now consider sweeping changes and reforms that will challenge their own left-of-centre ideology very heavily - and make them realise that the people they have been catering to are a slim minority of the American people.
They have left out the vast majority of Americans - most of whom are conservative and some others who are not necessarily as far right but still not nearly as liberal - whom they have to govern for, and not just in a way that signifies absolute corruptive power like they are seeking to impose on our healthcare system.
Their effort to impose a political apartheid is being vigourously challenged not only by the American people but by events like that which Mr Abdulmutallab perpetrated in Amsterdam on Christmas Day.
And even if Ms Napolitano does not lose her position - she will find her credibility further damaged and can expect only a limited recovery of her repute. Mr Obama's reputation was long ago damaged. And the TSA have a number of reforms that need to be implemented.
Greater common sense is required - and applicants for TSA positions now and in future MUST face further examination and screening for genuine competency - so we may be able to further guarantee security in the air as well as at our air terminals.

MARRIAGE LAW STILLBORN IN JERSEYSIDE
New Jersey Senate Reject Bill Allowing Homosexual Marriage

ON Thursday, the New Jersey state capital of Trenton appeared to show a little controversial heat in the midst of bitter cold that has gripped most of the United States when the State Senate rejected a bill that would allow homosexual couples to marry.
Clearly this issue is not about to go away no matter what.
And the Senate were very wise in their decision, not because they necessarily wanted to protect traditional marriage, but because the law may very well have been flawed.
Of course we could also speculate that some of the Democrats may have been reticent because they know that nationally speaking their party are on the American people's collective hitlist based upon the antics of the United States Congress as well as Mr Obama's administration and they may be afraid to upset the people any further for fear of jeopardising their jobs.
But then again the Senate - or for that matter the House of Representatives, or any other legislative body - may not necessarily be the proper venue for deciding that issue either, and certainly as we all know from bad experiences by state supreme courts from Massachusetts to California the judiciary is definitely NOT the correct venue for this issue.
No, the correct - and ONLY legitimate venue - for determining this sort of thorny issue - is through the ballot box, by the people of the state. That is the one sure way to affirm that the vote is truly valid because it involves more hands in the process.
And admittedly there are folks who will complain that not one state has passed homosexual marriage into law at the ballot box. True, people in states from Maine to Florida to California to Oregon to Iowa (where the activist state supreme court have interfered with the will of the people TWICE by arbitrarily annulling voter-approved laws protecting traditional marriage by setting the legal definition of such as the exclusive province of one man and one woman) have passed such laws at the ballot box.
Now there is the argument that those who believe in protecting traditional marriage are somehow homophobic. This canard is easily and readily disproven as you will find that people who speak out the most strongly against homosexual marriage also readily condemn homophobia. This is particularly true with fundamental Christians who vigourously defend traditional marriage yet refuse to condemn a homosexual, even to the point of condemning those who use homophobic vulgarities.
But even those without such a strong Christian faith also understand the need to protect traditional marriage, and this is seen in political conservatives as well as those from other faiths, including Jews and Muslims. They regard traditional marriage as ideal for raising children - this even as the divorce rate tops 40 percent and millions of children are raised in families that involve divorce.
But of course this does not denote that homosexuals are unfit for raising children - if anything homosexual couples turn out well-adjusted children just like their heterosexual neighbours. Besides, there is no fear that homosexuals are raising children to live that way as 95 percent of children raised by homosexuals become heterosexual anyway.
But one of the big problems that many supporters of traditional marriage see with homosexual marriage is that it opens a door to allowing other forms of marriage, including bigamy and polygamy as well as those involving bestiality and even pederasty. This is NOT meant to imply that homosexuals support any of those things; if anything most of them OPPOSE those things. Evidently sexuality DOES NOT denote one's ability to support monogamy nor general attitude toward certain forms of sexual activity.
But the other big problem - and this is increasingly in the discovery of a growing number of Americans who have studied history - is the connexion back to Marxist ideology, as Karl Marx condemned the institution of marriage, calling it "bourgeois".
Marxists in succeeding years started getting politically involved with civil rights movements, even to the point of infiltrating homosexual rights organisations.
Whilst not all homosexual marriage supporters are Marxists - some Marxists have professed support for such a union. This is why Spain, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, and Canada have all allowed homosexual marriage: Marxist activists infiltrated the media, the courts, and the schools during the 20th century and we are starting to see the effects of Marxist ideology manifested in so many ways in those countries - and to a certain extent in the United States as well.
There is no question that this issue will remain a hot topic for a long time to come no matter what the states do at this point. Whether the Defence Of Marriage Act of 1996 is repealed or not, whether all 50 states wind up restricting marriage to one man and one woman or outright allowing homosexual marriage - this issue is not going away on its own. New Jersey is just another reminder of that reality.

HE HID EXPLOSIVE POWDER IN HIS WHAT?!?!?!: RADICAL MUSLIM WHOSE OWN FATHER REPORTED HIM ALMOST CARRIES OFF JET BOMBING

I wonder if the Media's President, Mr Obama, has just had any doubts he had about the gravity of the War On Terror laid to rest.
And this is in response to the Christmas Day attack by a young Nigerian man who has now been proven to have connexions to an AlQaeda splinter gang.
And in addition to this the young Islamonazi's own father had reported his suspicions about his own son's radicalism to the Department of Homeland Security.
But wait till you see the capper: The young Islamonazi
dared to hide explosive powder in his undergarments.
And now that a brave Dutchman has apprehended Umar Farouk Abudmutallab we have learnt so much more, from his involvement with AlQaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to Ms Napolitano's
admission of failed airline security.
Looks like Mr Obama and company are now rueing the comments they made about opposing the War On Terror, eh? Now that we have had a near-hit he is forced to examine his policy and his tone - as are his officials. This comes in the face of someone who carried no checked luggage, only a small carryon bag, and paid more than two and a half thousand dollars for a Lagos/Amsterdam/Detroit ticket in cash.
It speaks to larger flaws in the hitherto general lackadaisical attitude of Mr Obama's administration, focused on general denial of a problem with terrorism, that has been evidenced in policy moves like proposing the weakening of the five-colour terrorist warning scale, weakening border security measures - as some of the illegal aliens have left Qurans at the Mexican border before entering the United States - and closing the Guantanamo Naval Air Station detention facility in Cuba.
Now Mr Obama and his officials have had their day of reckoning - Christmas Day - and they have had a longtime ally wake us up to that - a longtime ally that have had to deal with some of the same problems we are dealing with. The Dutch had their day of reckoning when one of their own filmmakers, Theo VanGogh, a descendant of their great painter Vincent, had a knife stuck in his chest by a rabid radical abusing the great Muslim faith vowing more of the same. The Dutch have since reversed some of their more neoliberal policies that had defined their country in recent years.
Now it is incumbent upon Mr Obama, Ms Napolitano, Mrs Clinton, Mr Reid, Ms Pelosi, and the rest of the officials who must deal with these matters to take a harder line, if not precisely as Mr Bush did or as Mr Reagan or Mr Eisenhower might have, at least with more vigour toward halting terrorists and their activities than they have done in eleven months and some change in office.
Oh, and the change thing...They are going to have to change themselves if they expect to regain even a shred of credibility in office.
Especially their approach on the War On Terror.
Whilst it is impressive that they are planning to takeover a little-used Illinois state penitentiary to house the terrorists - their purposes would be better suited toward maintaining the Gitmo facility and fighting to eliminate the terrorist threat wherever they may be, in the Middle East, in Afghanistan, in the Philippines, in the Eastern Indies...whether they like it or not they are going to have to assume the same approach their predecessors had established in the wake of the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001.

SCORES OF ANTI-TALEBAN ACTIVISTS DEAD IN PAKISTANI TERROR ATTACK

As the New Year started in the South Asian nation of Pakistan terrorists struck a volleyball match where thousands were enjoying a sporting event, taking out 88 people who were targeted simply because they chose to resist the Taleban.
Folks, if that is not another reminder of the gravity of the War On Terror that we need to take note of, especially our political leaders, I am not sure of what is. The Pakistanis recognise the continued threat of terrorism - and the new government should recognise that and take greater action to deal with it.
And we should not be afraid to offer our support and assistance. After all, if we can help their neighbours Afghanistan, why not Pakistan too? The Pakis ALSO have to contend with the common threat of terrorism - as they have had a chequered history with neighbouring India regarding the disputed regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Both countries have had their own recent experiences with terrorism. Would it be prudent to also see how the US could encourage India to work with Pakistan and Afghanistan to end this terroristic menace? Given the relative proximity of India to this problem I cannot see how Mr Singh is NOT concerned with this problem and I expect he might even have such concerns at the back of his mind.
And maybe Mr Obama might be further encouraged and even motivated - this on top of additional recent events involving airline security - to resolve similar concerns closer to home, maybe even to the point of offering to work with Mr Calderon regarding the narcoterrorists that have run ragged across northern Mexico.
Narcoterrorists are not far from the areas where illegal aliens have been sneaking across the international border - this includes the growing number of other-than-Mexicans, or OTMs, an increasing number of whom are of Middle Eastern extraction. Already confirmed south of the border years ago, the problem is fuelled by, amongst other things, Mr Chavez' efforts in Venezuela to basically assist such people, most notably from newfound ally Iran, to assimilate into Latin American culture.
Most South Asians and Middle Easterners are weary of continued terrorist attacks - as is evidenced by popular involvement by Pakistanis in antiterror efforts. They are tired of the Taleban wreaking havoc on their country and have taken a stand. Good people in Pakistan have just sent us a reminder of what true freedom and true security are really all about.

NOT THE DONE DEAL THEY THINK IT IS: WHY GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE COULD STILL FAIL

So, you think that the vote in the Senate that passed the government healthcare bill just sealed the deal and sent us straight into a socialised medicine scheme?
Don't be sure. Because there are a number of differences that need to be sorted out.
And I have a feeling that "reconciliation" is not going to resolve those differences.
Take for instance the existence of a proviso in the Senate Bill that Nebraskans are now under perpetual coverage for Medicare services. That was done just to get Mr Nelson on board in the Senate. How can we be sure other states are NOT going to demand coverage for their own services - or that that proviso be eliminated altogether?
Then there is the existence of a provison in the House Bill that no funds in this scheme could be used for abortions. This was done to get some pro-life Democrats onboard to pass the bill by five votes. This proviso is absent in the Senate Bill.
And now there are constitutional questions involved, including enumerated powers, and how this is NOT in the original establishment of enumerated powers. Folks, we are looking at a snarled tangle of roots here - and most Americans are patently angry about this not to mention stridently opposed - and you can bet that they will continue flooding their Senators and House Representatives with warnings to turn back unless they want to be put on the kerb come Election Day.
Even as the Senators and House Representatives - the Democrats anyway - continue blissfully ignoring the will of the people and pushing their neocommunist totalitarian mantra - and you can sound the Nelson Riddle-composed theme to the 1970s television series, Emergency!, because they are about to face their own electoral emergency come primary season later this year and again in November if need be, as they face a virulent electorate of a wide variety of groups.
Old age pensioners are particularly outraged as the bill would gut Medicare spending and cut them off from vital surgeries, whilst a number of other Americans are deeply concerned that seriously ill patients might not get the treatments they would need as has already been dictated under similar schemes in other countries like Britain, Holland, and Canada.
Even if it appears to be a done deal, you still need to raise your voices and let them know that if they continue to support this monstrosity not only will you not vote for them but you will actively campaign and contribute to their opponents in the primary and general elections.
And lest you think that I am merely pushing partisan politics consider this: Fifty-eight of the 60 Senators who voted for that bill are Democrats. None of them are Republicans: Thirty-nine of them voted NO. Also consider that in the House 219 of the 220 who voted for that bill are Democrats. Only ONE - 1 - was Republican.
But the idea that Republicans are against healthcare is a terribly irrational partisan canard that has been disproven repeatedly. They are calling for improved access to healthcare - and voted against the establishment of health management organisations in the 1960s when the newly-departed Mr Kennedy promoted them in the US Senate. HMOs have been notorious for limiting the types and providers of healthcare we can obtain. Even Mr Reagan affirmed that socialised medicine is inappropriate for and contrary to the essential nature of American society.
Just because both Houses approved government healthcare does not mean we cannot still derail this: We can still get on the horn with our legislators and tell them to change course or we will change the occupant of their office. Even Mr Dean at the DNC has his express opposition to this scheme. Both the extreme leftist and the conservatives have shown their distaste - and can use that to their advantage to tell Congress to KILL THIS BILL. I suggest we strike this week and keep striking with calls and telecopies and emails. Get active now and get to stepping and get to halting this bill NOW.

NEGOTIATIONS MAY HAVE JUST SAVED TIME WARNER'S BACON - REGARDING NEWSCORP CHANNELS

As Time Warner continue to sort out their own declining revenues particularly from their biased media division, they just worked out a deal with rival News Corporation to keep their channels on the Time Warner Cable division.
And why not? The growing audience for NewsCorp channels - most notably Fox News whose audiences have consistently dwarfed those of the Time Warner channels, CNN and HLN, in every timeslot for a number of YEARS - has benefitted even Time Warner as more folks in urban areas seek to go with cable, including those who have had bad experiences with satellite television.
My experiences with satellite and cable are mixed. For some media - like television programming - satellite is better due to greater picture quality and variety. However, cable are working to close that gap - whereas they already have the upper hand on internet access and telephone service, though satellite firms are working on that gap as well.
Now if Time Warner had indeed decided to end the carriage of NewsCorp channels, including Fox News, FX, Fox Movie Channel, and Speed, they could have stood to lose a fairly sizable chunk of their audience, either to other cable firms like Comcast or to satellite services. This means that they would start running greater deficits - and be impaired in their ability to improve services in order to compete.
But this key negotiation that keeps NewsCorp channels on their systems means Time Warner's bacon has been saved. Even Time Warner benefit from NewsCorp's channels' high ratings! Even Time Warner benefit from Fox News' ratings! And who is to say Time Warner AREN'T going to have that added pressure to keep those channels on their system? For some folks those channels may be the ONLY reason they picked up Time Warner Cable. They have to keep their patrons satisfied no matter what. This is called meeting the demands of the marketplace.

THANK YOU BOBBY - FOR 33 WINNING SEASONS AT FLORIDA STATE - NOW THAT'S GOING OUT ON TOP

The always benevolent and straightforward octogenarian expressed great appreciation toward the thousands upon thousands gathered in Jacksonville FL for the Gator Bowl.
But Bobby Bowden's 389th and final win didn't come without some assistance from some of the thousands of players he has coached and mentored over the years. Like EJ Manuel, the game's most valuable player who threw for 189yd and ran for a touchdown, or Jermaine Thomas, who ran 121yd and scored two touchdowns, all in the Florida State Seminole's big 33:21 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers, who ironically actually led for much of the first half.
But the third quarter was the turning point for the Seminoles who turned on the offence, with Coach Bowden tossing his autographed ballcap at the band with 100 seconds left in the game as his garnet-and-gold gridiron warriors were wrapping up his last game in a career that spanned more than five decades - the last three-and-a-half in Tallahassee.
His years at South Georgia, Samford, and West Virginia may or may not have prepared him for his 33 winning seasons at FSU. But one thing is for certain: He has left a lasting impact on college football. His lengthy tenure has also produced two Heisman Trophy winners: Chris Weinke in 2000 - the much older quarterback who after a stint in minor league baseball marshalled the 'Noles to an unbeaten season in which they started and ended as Number One - and Charlie Ward in 1993. And NFL great Deion Sanders is just one of many who relied upon the steady guidance of Coach Bowden.
Coach Bowden's style helped imbue positive values upon the players he coached and college football fans - most notably those cheering for the Seminoles - reaped great benefits knowing they could rely on his guidance, counselling, and coaching. And these folks will remember him as a brightly shining example of a college football coach. His methods - which helped him to a number of national championships - are methods we could stand to benefit from ourselves.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, FOLKS.

MS MCCASKILL JOINED BY OTHER SENATE DEMOCRATS IN GOING THE WRONG WAY ON HEALTHCARE

As millions of Americans were making last minute shopping trips, planning parties and dinners, and generally preparing for Christmas, one despicable excuse for a United States Senator whinged and moaned on national television that she had to stay in Washington DC to force government healthcare down America's collective gullet instead of go home to spend time baking and cooking in preparation for her family's Christmas dinner.
And what bugged me the most about that is she happens to misrepresent my home state of Missouri. But then again what the hell did Claire McCaskill expect anyway, when she ran for the Senate and "won" election?
Sorry about your hurt feelings Ms McCaskill but you have an obligation to the 6,6m Missourians you must answer to with every vote in Congress. THIS IS WHAT YOU DO when you have a duty to the people of your state (or district for a House Representative).
Now I WILL give her credit for responding to emails and letters. BUT she will defend doing the wrong thing if she does that, although sometimes she actually gets something right, and she has even been known to hold the line on some of the excess spending going on. But unfortunately as is often the case with so many others in the Senate and the House, she has basically dug her heels in.
We also saw 59 other Senators - two Independents and 57 Democrats - basically fly in the face of deafening outrage and stonewalled opposition.
Don't get me started on Bill Nelson - his suspicion has led to the installation of permanent coverage under government healthcare of the residents of his home state - Nebraska. But then again who is to say that Mr Nelson is necessarily responsible for that, when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has been working with his close allies to draft a corrupt scheme under cloak of darkness, a scheme under which people can be fined and even imprisoned simply for not buying health insurance?
Mr Reid MUST answer for this, not only to his home state of Nevada - where every possible Republican opponent is beating him in the polls so badly Mr Reid would not survive a challenge from even Charles Manson - but also to the people of the other 49 states as well. In 98 years with popular election of United States Senators we have seen some good eggs and some bad eggs - but Mr Reid has clearly become the worst-smelling egg of all. And the other Democrat Senators?
Decent as some of them appear to be on the surface their collective repute has been extremely compromised by their involvement in the basic roughshod run over Americans in the healthcare debate.

A GRINCHY COUNTY GOVERNMENT FINALLY RELENT - AND ALLOW CHRISTMAS SYMBOLS ON THEIR TREES

On the brink of Christmas Sonoma County (CA) officials on Wednesday
reversed their earlier policy against Christmas trees carrying stars and angels. This came about as the offices prepared to close on Christmas Eve and remain closed until the New Year.
Of course it appears to be another potential grinchy community activist - Irv Sutley, an advocate of the perversion of the principle of separation of church and state - who was bearing the initial disgust.
At first Chris Thomas had the decorations removed but then county supervisor Shirlee Zane complained about that and demanded that in future he would be better off taking the matter to the board of supervisors.
Maybe the pressure that Mr Sutley - involved with the county's Peace And Freedom Party committee - a very left-of-centre political organisation - placed on the board was misguided especially given the season - as even in patently liberal Sonoma County - admittedly NOT conservative like Jasper County in Missouri or Delaware County in Oklahoma - the folks would still like SOME semblance of a holiday celebration, even a Christmas celebration; this is especially true with the growing immigrant populations from Latin America and Asia celebrating Christmas.
Then again maybe it was not the entire government's fault either - Mr Thomas was wellmeaning in his decision but in the end his move was doomed for a checkmate from a superior, and that superior ultimately answers to the people in his or her local district.
Even with their leftist views in that corner of California, most of the folks in Sonoma County are still eager to celebrate Christmas, maybe not necessarily with a foot of snow like in many areas to the East, but maybe with a more or less traditional feast and maybe a couple of bottles of wine from nearby vineyards for the adults in attendance - and the local supervisor must recognise that.
I have seen conservatives rally round a county supervisor whose views might have been in the middle or a little to the left after he openly admitted to using cannabis and psylocybin (in mushroom form)i n previous years just after getting elected - and a critic called for him to resign, only to find his OWN steroid abuses as a younger athlete exposed - he had actually been drafted to the Los Angeles Rams at one point in the mid-70s - and his OWN bid for county supervisor failed in 1992. Incidentally, that supervisor - who was my social studies instructor in intermediate school - served three terms, concluding in 2000. And most folks had a lot of respect for him, both as an instructor, and as a politician.
And as for Ms Zane, I definitely have to give her kudos and much respect for her calling out Mr Thomas. She has a very good idea of the best interests of her local constituents and might even deserve another term in office for this stand.

WELL, WE GOT A WHITE CHRISTMAS, WHETHER WE DREAMT OF IT OR NOT...

Most Americans got a visit from the Great White North in the form of extensive snow storms in many Northern and Eastern states and a little bit of ice that turned to snow in some of the Central, Mountain, and Southern states.
In my case that was not far from the norm - we have had some white Christmases in the past, I can even recall a few of those during the time I have lived in southwestern Missouri, but this had to be the most unusual way we got our White Christmas...not to mention more dangerous than what Bing Crosby would have attempted driving in.
But on this dark evening with a spot of icy precipitation coming down Mum drove my Auntie Sylvia, my cousin Rodney, and myself slowly through town in her 10-year-old four-wheel-drive Suby waggon and then through a couple of rural roads, over the interstate to a robot about a quarter of a mile south, where we turned right and crawled to the main entrance of a residential community that sits next to a golf course.
We motored along the main road very slowly till we found the residence of my Auntie Sherley, Uncle Bob, and his parents, Bob Sr and Josephine.
On the menu for dinner was venison prepared barbecue style, but without sauce for Bob Sr who is a diabetic. When I would learn later about his medical condition I thought to myself, Seeing how the man has served this great republic proudly in World War II, as far as I am concerned, the man can and should eat whatever the bloody hell he wants, and intimated as much to Auntie Sherley and later to Uncle Bob. Insensitive to diabetics, you say? Forgive me if I am more concerned about freedom - and those who fought for it!
We also had chilli, cheese dip, crisps - corn and potato, and potato salad. I chose to eat my barbecued venison with whole wheat buns...
It was time to open our gifts and I had something for Bob Sr - my great-uncle - which was a framed portrait of the Lord Jesus on his throne, with fanciful robes and shawls about him, some with Hebrew text.
He later told me about how one of his sons was killed by a Green Beret and he had wanted to kill him, only to be reminded that of the Lord's words, Vengeance is mine - and surely enough that Green Beret met his own violent death the next morning at the hands of the local policemen. He was surely appreciative of my simple gift.
Of course I would open some simple gifts - deodourant, bath soap, caramel corn - and so would Rodney - but Josephine would find herself delighted when she opened her gift from me - a tan scarf - and Auntie Sherley appreciated my gift of candles - one of which was based upon the aroma of a Paula Deen recipe. (If you don't know who she is, check the cooking section of your local bookstore or newsstand.)
Next there was my gift to Uncle Bob - who received a fishhook remover, because he is an avid outdoorsman. There were some other nice gifts exchanged, and then we sat around watching CSI.
Later we started motoring home and talking about the weather as well as the potential for problems and even accidents on icy roads. We even brought up in passing the brief mention of old drivers education films with extremely graphic footage of fatal traffic accidents - and my mother's recollection of witnessing that kind of incident in real life as a child. Little did I know that later that night as Rodney and I were watching a TLC programme about bad drivers I would find myself playing one such film for him on my computer.
We got out at the edge of town to scrape ice and water off the windscreen and the wipers and Mum was noticing the relative fault of the wipers to effectively clear the windscreen. Because of the falling ice we decided it was better that they stayed in town.
Mum and Auntie Sylvia went upstairs and Rodney and I went downstairs. He got onto a laptop computer as I got onto my desktop and then I tuned in Fox News to watch some Christmas specials. We watched the Fox & Friends staff bring in their children and perform - Gretchen Carlsson and her son and daughter even played the piano and sang a Christmas carol!
Meanwhile I started baking a piña colada pie for the son of my mother's late friend - a very dear friend who had passed away from cancer just before Thanksgiving.
As the evening progressed I changed the channel from Fox News to TLC where we caught a programme about some bad driving. About 15 minutes into the show Rodney and I started talking about those bad habits exhibited by the folks on that show and he expressed his disgust with those habits and the dangers that they pose. At that point I turned my computer monitor toward him and clicked a link from my bookmarks.
Seconds later there was a black screen followed by tyres screeching and a loud crashing noise, then some ominous music and a rather maudlin voice describing how the vehicles and their dead passengers got to their conditions. Then the text rolled on a screen showing a divided highway explaining that the techniques used in this film were not to Hollywood standards, that most of the stars of the film got top billing only on a tombstone. And then the title in large flowing script - Signal 30 - appeared on the screen.
Rodney correctly noted that that was from a time when colour film was relatively new. The narrator explained the definition of the term Signal 30 - as used by the Ohio State Highway Patrol where and when the film was made in 1959 - clearly a 50-year-old film I was showing my cousin. He noted that there were reasons he had had trouble with certain bad habits. We made further observations in that regard with each passing accident scene and an interview a trooper conducted with the widow of an accident victim.
After that film concluded I switched the telly to Boomerang and we were watching all manner of Christmas stories interpreted by Hanna Barbera characters, such as a story featuring Casper The Friendly Ghost, Yogi Bear, Auggie Doggie, and a number of other characters.
That was when I started cooking turkey taco meat and then turkey quesadillas for my cousin Lynette's Christmas dinner. I chopped olives and chillies for the filling to mix with taco meat and cheese, then started cooking them in my mother's one good skillet. Little did she know the day before when she was complaining about how few good pans and pots she had to cook with that that was about to change.
As we watched the Flintstones' interpretation of A Christmas Carol, I would also attend to washing pots and pans and dishes in preparation for anticipated cooking my mother would conduct during the next day. I would even cook breakfast at about 6.00a and give Rodney a biscuit covered with beef gravy mixed with red chillies and paprika. I had the same for myself.
I was finally off to bed at roundabout 7.00a ... and would rise in the neighbourhood of 10.30a to shower and dress and then would grab a NOS energy drink I had had the good sense to pick up in quantity at Food 4 Less the weekend before.
Then I would watch Rodney and Auntie Sylvia open their presents - the gifts that I had bought for them were relatively simple, cookies for Rodney and green olives for Auntie Sylvia. I swear she's going to get an institutional size jar of green olives next year.
I opened my gifts, including a new long-sleeved Oakland Raiders shirt and a few other simple gifts.
Then it was time for Mum to open her gifts, including those that I had bought for her - three scented candles, then a pink Snuggie designed to raise funds for breast cancer charities (and a book light to boot), and then the piéce de resistance - a new cookware kit with utensils, pans, and pots. You knew Mum had to be appreciative of those gifts and she truly was.
Later it was time for Mum to take Auntie Sylvia and Rodney home and then I headed to Lynette's house. Packing pies, a cheesecake, quesadillas, and pop into the car, I headed down the ice-and-snow-covered street very slowly, noting that there had to be at least three inches of snow on top of this ice. I dropped off a pie before heading back to pick up a present then continued back on my way.
Everything went well until I turned up the street to her house - and could not make it up the steep hill all the way. After two failed attempts, one of which almost wound up backing me into a tree, I finally wheeled down to the city hall at the foot of the hill. And then it was time to wait for my uncle and my cousin's new boyfriend to turn up in the truck. I would load presents, food, and drink inside then ride in a cramped Dodge Dakota up to her house.
Then I started bringing everything in..and noticed a big brown and black boxer indoors. He was actually quite friendly and pleasant. I would also see my cousin, her younger daughter, and then a few other folks inside, in addition to Auntie Sherley and Uncle Bob, and of course the counter loaded with enchilada casseroles, tortillas, and potato salad.
Into the kitchen I went to heat the quesadillas in the microwave, and I also set up bottles of 7UP, RC, Dr Pepper, and A&W Root Beer. It was a very relaxed and pleasant afternoon, and for some reason we were tuned in to a Dirty Dancing Marathon. It was a very good movie, featuring Jennifer Grey before her heavily-hyped rhinoplasty and of course the late Patrick Swayze at his peak.
I found time to talk to my cousin's mother-in-law, widowed a number of years, as I ate tacos and quesadillas and enchilada casserole, much of it with my mother's pico de gallo.
I told her that the 1957 Chevy Bel Air that Patrick Swayze drove in that film was something that General Motors should never have stopped building, except for minor refinements to meet advancing safety standards through succeeding years. Would an '87 Bel Air still bring the buyers? You know it would have. Wonder if we would have had a DIFFERENT look for the Buick Grand National of that year too. If the retro-looking HHR and SSR brought the popular appeal for contemporary car buyers - why not a new-look Bel Air that captured the essence of the Tri-Five models (informal term for 1955-7 Chevrolet Bel Airs)?
And then I would find a seat in the new white suede armchair in the living room - with overstuffed arms and there were also a matching loveseat on one side of the room and a massive chesterfield on the other. There was even a large ottoman in front of the chesterfield!
Then someone switched the channel and chose to tune in a marathon featuring A Christmas Story - you know, the one where Ralphie wants a Red Ryder BB Gun and half the people he speaks to about tell him he would shoot his eye out. Now THAT WOULD be more Christmas orientated.
Shortly after 5.00p I finally decided to get ready to leave. I would get a lift from my cousin's new boyfriend - as we drove the narrow, winding lane, we both critiqued the areas we would want to trim, pointing out trees we would chop down.
Shortly after we crossed the tracks and he picked up the trash we headed downhill as a train came down the tracks. I had decided to take back some of the remaining quesadillas, the unopened 7UP, and the unopened root beer. But as I returned home I came away with another great understanding about the importance of Christmas - white or otherwise.
It comes back to the basic values that are not unlike those that helped build our great republic - the care and warmth toward others that needs to be displayed on a consistent basis, the honour and respect for those who reward us with tokens of their personal generosity, the reverence for a simple man who gave his life on a cross in ancient Judea so we might live to show appreciation for His presence and His simple ways.
Maybe you are not religious, but in the spirit of this particular season you realise the basic elements that comprise the human soul in a truly enlightened form, where materialism gives way to genuine appreciation even if it somehow brings materialism into the mix, where we give of ourselves in so many ways. It brings us back to what Cal Thomas so rightly put - the things that matter most.

STILL CAREENING TOWARD GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE DESPITE SOME "CHANGES"

OK, let's see if we have this right...Every time a Democrat Senator expresses objection to the government healthcare bill, Mr Reid and his cohorts work to add some new pork into the bill, basically bribing the poor schlub for support.
Like Mr Nelson from Nebraska who just got a proviso attached that establishes permanent funding for Nebraska medical aid recipients.  This was done to placate Mr Nelson, who supports unborn rights, a rarity in Democrat politicians, especially at the
national level.  Senators from other states should call foul on this proviso and make every effort to weaken the bill.
Now we find that the weekend is being dedicated to trying to force this monstrosity under cover of darkness, behind closed doors - clearly NOT the transparent government Mr Obama wished for.
But these "changes" are merely setting up Democrats for a massive fall on this issue.  Not only will most of them in the House and Senate get voted out of office come 2010, but many of them might not make it past their primaries.  And this isn't the only time this sort of thing has happened.
Consider the Brady Bill which was forced on the American people during the Clinton Anointistration.  The late Mike Synar, an Oklahoma Democrat, lost his primary to a retired secondary school principal in 1994 - and he in turn lost to a man whose name has become synonymous with deficit spending awareness - a man who later won election to the United States Senate - Tom Coburn.
What put Mr Synar out of office was his strident support for gun control - which in hunter-friendly northeastern Oklahoma is a definite no-no.  Let me put it this way:  Texans aspire to the level of respect for gun owners rights that northeastern Oklahomans have.  Even the majority of northeastern Oklahoma Democrats are conservative - and folks in neighbouring southeastern Kansas and southwestern Missouri are not much different.  There ARE more liberal folks in neighbouring northwestern Arkansas, however, but most folks there still support gun owners rights.  But Mr Synar was definitely out of step in that case - and most Senate and House
Democrats have clearly shown just how out of step they really are with the American people.
That's because this bill is flawed and we the people MUST be prepared to show our clear objections to these out-of-sync politicos.
We have to be prepared to raise hell with them irrespective of if they go through with this weekend's vote and let them know this is NOT what we want - especially NOT with Medicare being gutted - meaning old age pensioners are at grave risk if this bill is ever
allowed to pass.  We MUST remind each of those politicians that a Yes vote means we will personally end their careers come their next primary and if need be their next general election.
And it is no longer conservatives alone who are raising hell, screaming HELL NO to this monstrosity:  With the removal of the public option in the US Senate liberals are ALSO raising hell, yelling HELL NO just as loudly.
Folks, the Media's Congress are at the heart of a political perfect storm, where they can get NO relief no matter which way they go.  The only way out of this is for them to scrap the whole thing and start over, or better yet, leave well enough alone.  They are given real problems to address and instead they target nonexistent problems that need to be left alone - basically they are cutting off a healthy arm instead of trying to treat an infected arm, just so they can spread misery equally - another typical Marxist trick.  The plain and simple is the Media's Congress are woefully out of step and must end this mad dash to government healthcare.
Otherwise they are going to pay for it at the next election - and it will be open season on Democrats not only in 2010 but for many years to come.

CORRUPT FEDERAL JUDGE CRIES THAT ACORN FUNDING BAN IS "UNCONSTITUTIONAL"

A federal judge determined that the federal government had to continue funding controversial leftist organisation ACORN despite confirmation of fraud by the community organisation.
And to make matters worse she even cited the Constitution as an excuse to continue porkbarrel funding for ACORN even as Congress voted - in a rare sense of clarity and intelligence - to eliminate all federal funding for ACORN.
Now don't you just love activist judges who legislate from the bench?  Me neither.  They get on my nerves after a while.  And as we have previously seen from other examples of ACORN skulduggery we can also see how partisans can be so blinded to the actions
of the liberal community action group especially given their tactics, between aiding and abetting proposed criminal activities involving paedophilia, prostitution, and illegal immigration, and intimidation of critics inside and outside of their own organisation.  And the Rhodes scholar on the bench that said the US government had to continue funding ACORN!
Folks, this is where Congress must put their foot down on this issue - and start putting the brakes on such rulings.  Maybe some of the most activist judges should be subject to removal from the bench - but this would happen only with pressure from folks like us.
We have to raise our voices - and keep after every Congressman and Senator irrespective of our views on their policies.  Believe me, if they refuse to listen, they will clearly understand why we will vote them out at the next election.
Besides, the judiciary in this case are on the wrong side of the issue.  It is the equivalent of letting a convicted paedophile out of prison or asylum for emotional reasons and terrorise children once again.  My mother worked for a number of years in an asylum where the asylum police service outnumber the city's local police service 3:1.  And the patients in that asylum are considered some of the most dangerous sexual and criminal violators in California if not America.  Is the judge's ruling to force the government to continue ACORN any less dangerous?  Not by very much at all, because the mere thought of a community organisation aiding and abetting prospective paedophilic activity smacks of a more sinister organisation - or even two - NAMBLA and the ACLU.
But even if we take that out of the equation we still have extensive corruption and mismanagement in place - and Ms Lewis has a hell of a lot to answer for whether she likes it or not.  But then again the judge that just aided and abetted them with this activist ruling is now complicit in their corruption and fraud - and must answer to the American people for her shortsighted decision.  We can hope only that the US Attorneys involved in this case will appeal the ruling and get it overturned, either at the appellate level or even at the Supreme Court.
WEATHER PATTERNS FURTHER DISCREDIT "CLIMATE CHANGE" ACTIVISTS' CONFERENCE

Even as Mr Obama dashed to the Danish capital, Kobnhavn (Kopenhagen), to attend to a non-binding treaty designed to promote the reduction of "greenhouse gases", the "climate change" activists were being mocked - by Mother Nature.
Sweeping snowstorms raged through Europe as they met to find ways to cripple liberty and freedom with junk science in the name of the environment - junk science that has been thoroughly disproven and discredited as untrue in recent weeks.
And maybe that is just another rough metaphor of the whole debate over global warming/climate change - a lot of hot air in the face of reality, and that reality is stinging cold with lots of snow.  As the avalanche of truth has just buried the mountain of lies - the avalanche of reality has buried the fantasy of the climate change movement.
This weather event - a daunting blizzard - has clearly put emphasis on the lunacy involved in the radical fringes of the environmental movement.  When you have Marxists infiltrating any activist movement - be it the environmental movement, the gay rights movement, race relations, the women's liberation movement - you are bound to have some loose cannons who run their mouths about exaggeratedly dire consequences arising from common everyday elements like carbon dioxide - which plants NEED in order to GROW and GIVE OFF MORE OXYGEN!
I should note that even as the tropical forests have sustained mild depletion - some areas in more temperate climes have developed THICKER forests.  When the Soviet Bloc imploded there were extensive areas of DEAD forest in central and eastern Europe - yet in the past 20 years since the number of trees has grown substantively; part of that is the private management of more and more forestland, where tree farmers have an initiative to care for their investment, for their millstone, for their livelihood.  It is not dissimilar to the forestlands already well established in North America - even as radicals seek to negatively impact the forestry industry.
And more carbon dioxide will also help other areas of agriculture and horticulture - as that natural element will be more readily available to plant life including those used as fruits, vegetables, and grains.  This will positively lead to greater yields - coupled with
the greater efficiency in agriculture we stand to make even more food available.  But don't tell that to the closedminded lunatics in the radical environmental movements holding this stupid conference.
And then there is another aspect that is soon to come - with the advent of the coming end of the Kyoto Treaty of 1997 as well as the people suddenly forced to become better educated about weather patterns that have been changing since the beginning of time - and that is that the radicals may no longer hold nearly the influence and weight that they once did.  And whilst I don't necessarily see a rollback of let us say California emissions standards back to the way they were under the elder Mr Brown's (Edmund G (Pat) Brown Sr, father of the current Attorney General and former governor (Jerry)) stewardship as state governor - as technology has been developed by interested private companies to substantially reduce emissions, to the point where even tens of thousands of 2010 model year Ford pickups COMBINED produce LESS pollutants than just ONE of their 1970 counterparts - you can bet that people's freedoms are about to begin to rebuild, not only in the United States of America, but also
most of the rest of the world.  People are awakening to the truth about climatology and meteorology and understand that weather patterns are always in flux and they are also refusing to be confined by ideology alone in their consideration of the environment.

IN MEMORIAM:  ORAL ROBERTS:  1918-2009

The impact that Oral Roberts left upon American society in his seven decades of preaching the Gospel to millions upon millions may never stop being felt.
Take for instance his involvement in the early development of religious television programmes.  Even in the earliest days of televangelism Brother Roberts - who established a university in Tulsa OK in 1963 - made quite the impact upon society, reaching millions of people just getting their first black and white televisions in their homes back in the 1950s.
Television helped Brother Roberts jump from tent revivals to massive televised crusades where he dismissed claims of being a faith healer, affirming, "God heals, I don't".  What a very humble man who had huge plans to spread the Gospel.
And though he would face turmoil on a few occasions in life - his battle with tuberculosis as a teenager, his financial failures with the City Of Faith Medical Centre in the 1980s, the failure of a law school he had founded (it became the basis of CBN University in
Virginia), and his son's own involvement in alleged abuse of ORU funds in the 2000s - Brother Roberts nonetheless remained a powerful voice in American culture, both spiritual and secular alike.
Radio and television carried his characteristic voice, filled with fervent belief in Jesus Christ, to widespread audiences, inspiring so many other people to seek spiritual guidance.  But his dozens of books published further cemented his reputation as a great orator as well as a great communicator and a great religious leader.
But the charismatic side of Christianity - well-known for emphatic, bold, vocal, sometimes loud sermons - also got a great deal of exposure thanks to Brother Roberts.   And it is that side of Christianity that has gotten more and more attention from a number of Christians and others in recent years - and that is a small part of Brother Roberts' legacy.

A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS MESSAGE

Folks...we are at a point where our religious freedom, our ideological freedom, and our personal freedoms are all hanging in the balance.
We are faced by secularists who seek to annihilate the good message of holidays specific to this season, specifically Christmas and Chanukah, in the name of "diversity" and "tolerance".  However, when the Gospel of the Old and New Testaments are
communicated to any culture, you are bound to see people accepting the Gospel, and this is not just the case with Christianity, which is found in every country in the world:  A group of Jews have been located in India and have been encouraged to emigrate to Israel - home to other Jews that emigrated from Ethiopia.  I should also note that in the 1300s and 1400s Christianity and Judaism were very common in China and Japan, and British and Portuguese colonists brought Christianity to India.
Whether you're eating latkes or pumpkin pie with your holiday dinner you should understand that your very faith is targeted by irreligious bigots who seek to ruin your freedom by attacking basic foundations of liberty that were established by old White
Christian men for the sake of freedom - for people of ALL faiths, Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, animist, atheist, Wiccan, Buddhist, Shintoist, and Islam alike.  They established the Bill Of Rights without regard to religious belief, because they believed that state
sanctioning of a church - as was the case with the Anglican Church in Great Britain - was an inappropriate function of government.
And even the great president Thomas Jefferson affirmed a separation of church and state in an 1800s letter to a religious organisation - yet that would later be horribly corrupted in the early 1960s by a court ruling that removed prayer from public schools.  This is why I explained in the last edition of this blog how part of the First Amendment is routinely ignored by the irrational partisans in the secularist movements in our society.
As public schools try to make our children say Happy Winter we must continue to recognise the important functions of Christmas and Chanukah, and to maintain the values of those great celebrations - like a sense of caring in the family unit, a tendency toward humility before a higher power, a sense of faith in God - these are just some of the basic building blocks of our society.
And it is these values that we need to maintain irrespective of the efforts by secularists to undermine our way of life.

MR OBAMA GOES TO NORWAY - ON AN IRONIC NOTE

As Mr Obama finally travelled to the Norwegian capital, Oslo, to accept his Nobel Peace Prize - for significantly overhyped claims about what he could do for world peace - he was already mulling the tough decision to send 30000 American troops to Afghanistan to fight persistent Taleban terrorists.
What also disappointed some of Mr Obama's admirers in Norway - as well as locals in Oslo - is he passed up some of the traditional customary events for Nobel Peace Prize winners.
However, the looming War On Terror remains the 400-kilógramo gorilla in the room - and his acceptance of a peace prize in the face of war indicates that even with his youthful idealism he is forced to face a mature reality - that he has no choice but to take effective action in the war.
He has been forced to comprehend that an Iraq-style surge that benefitted the efforts undertaken in that country by his predecessor, Mr Bush, is his best chance for finally winning the war in a relatively disorganised area that even the Soviets could not tame.
As scepticans
altered his campaign posters to read "Change?" in protest of his undertaking the surge - they fail to comprehend the gravity of the necessary moves in the War On Terror - moves even Mr Obama has resisted despite persistent urging from his handpicked general, Mr McChrystal.
And Mr McChrystal has clearly shown real leadership on that note - he has been the mature adult who has successfully countered Mr Obama's relative youthful naiveté, to remind him that idealism is a wonderful concept but one that must be tempered with reality. But the difference between Mr Obama and Mr Wilson some 90 years earlier is that Mr Wilson's efforts actually dealt with the aggressions of German and other Central Powers empires that brought about the dissolution of at least three major empires and the independence of many new countries, whilst Mr Obama's efforts are virtually nil in this field.
But then again Mr Bush did not exactly have a Masters Degree in dealing with terrorists himself. He was if anything relatively unaccustomed to having to deal with terrorist threats on the scale of those that occurred on 11 September 2001; after all he was a two-term governor whose major international policy experience was dealing with illegal aliens crossing the Rio Bravo into the United States. He did have to learn quickly and he turned out to have a fairly favourable impact as his methods drew terrorists into Iraq where they were more readily concentrated - and easier to eliminate.
Despite the extremely rugged and isolated terrain of Afghanistan similar methods will benefit Mr Obama's leadership. And even if he lasts only one term in office - it could give him a bright spot not to mention lending credence to his newfound glory as a Nobel Peace Prize winner - as sometimes force may be the only way to obtain peace - and force was used by Mr Wilson in World War I, Mr Roosevelt in World War II, and Mr Truman in the Korean Conflict - all Democrats.
Perhaps Mr Obama should take notes from those fellow Democrat presidents' methodologies. Maybe he will gain greater insight not to mention a greater understanding of the great effort required.
For that matter he could even stand to learn from the lessons of his personal hero, Mr Kennedy, from the early stages of the Viet Nam Conflict. He could also stand to learn from his successor, Mr Johnson, and see how NOT to run a military conflict effort.
History will judge the true impact and sensibility of Mr Obama - both as President and as Nobel Peace Prize Winner. But it is now truly in his hands to craft policies that will determine how others see him. He has a lot of responsibility in his hands - and what he does here and now as well as hereafter will show his true colours.

ALAN GRAYSON: A CONGRESSIONAL CRASS ACT

He represents the people of a central Florida Congressional district. And he has drawn attention to himself for some outrageous comments he has made on the floor of the US House Of Representatives. But one thing is for certain about US House Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL) - he has shown his nasty side in a way no government official - elected or otherwise - should ever do.
First there was the ridiculous comment on 29 September about what he feels the Republican healthcare plan is, totally mischaracterising their position on the proposed government healthcare scheme, in which he claimed they want us to
"die quickly". That earned him a swift rebuke from his home state's House Majority Leader, Mr Hasner - as well as the contempt of millions upon millions of Americans - hundreds of thousands of whom are in his district.
Clearly a Jew like Mr Grayson should know much better than to compare opposition to the Democrat Party's healthcare proposal to the very event in history that destroyed the lives of millions of innocent Jews and homosexuals and Catholics and Slavs in Europe under Adolf Hitler's regime!
Seriously Mr Grayson - the HOLOCAUST!?
Then about a month later he shot his mouth off again. Mr Grayson had the cheek to call Linda Robertson -
an advisor to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke - a 'K Street whore' - and drew more brickbat from his colleagues - Democrat and Republican alike.
Even the US House Majority Leader, Mr Hoyer, had the sense to condemn Mr Grayson's unkind words.
Sadly Ms Pelosi - the House Majority Leader -
does not see where he needs to apologise for his outrageous remarks. She does however claim that Republicans have made outrageous remarks and therefore EVERYONE should apologise.
However salient her point is, she fails to understand that Mr Grayson and others like him - and her - have also made some extremely outrageous comments as of late.
Of course there is not total condemnation for Mr Grayson - he has
taken the Federal Reserve to task about some $9tr of unaccounted money. Certainly the Fed have gone plumb loco with off-balance sheet transactions - and that has fed further furore from people so aggravated by the Fed they have called for their dissolution.
Mr Grayson should stick to those investigative topics and methods instead of his irrational partisanism. He needs to get back on target and stop calling names and attacking those who disagree with him - he is a CONGRESSMAN for God's sake!!!!
Mr Grayson is about to bury his own political career if he dares to keep this up - he is making his own bed and he is about to have to sleep in it come November 2010. His big fat mouth may have just shortcircuited his political career - and he will have only himself to blame for that.

"HAPPY WINTER" MY ASS!!! IT'S MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY CHANUKAH, OR JUST BE QUIET, FOOL!

HAPPY Winter?
HAPPY WINTER!?
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS?!
Ok, let me explain this, some nutcase school principal in Connecticut have directed their staff to teach children to wish everyone a "Happy Winter". Folks, the Waterbury-based Walsh Primary School have a GRINCH for a principal - and his name is Erik Brown.
And Mr Brown's asinine excuse of
"the school is not a church...I have to do things that include every child" holds NO water whatsoever.
And the equally anti-Christian superintendent, David Snead, is way off base in his defence claiming religious celebrations are "especially difficult" in December.
Why?!
Because it cuts down on the public schools' ability to poison children's minds by reducing the amount of time available for indoctrinating them with useless junk and hateful things against America?!
"Holiday festivities can continue without religious overtones"!?
You gotta be KIDDING!
Do these simpletons NOT realise that MOST Americans are of the Christian faith, that there are some folks who also celebrate Chanukah - which began at sundown on Thursday - and ALL are being SHORTCHANGED by such outrageous policies as THIS!
Or how about the assault on Christmas by that God-awful school in Chelmsford MA - ANOTHER bad example of how public schools have mishandled holiday celebrations!
We are in a society where most people DEMAND to be wished a Merry Christmas or a Happy Chanukah - and these Einsteins want us to greet everyone with Happy Winter. It is NO WONDER that Bill O'Reilly has termed people like those "pinheads" - and Bill, there's your pinhead of the night...Next to Mr Brown, Rosie O'Donnell is a patriot!
Enough with this trash about condemning Christmas and Chanukah - that attitude is anti-Christian and anti-Semitic - and the people of the affected communities have the prerogative to get rid of the people making such outlandish and outrageous proposals and policies that basically criminalise Christianity and Judaism - clearly an abuse of the concept of the "separation of church and state".
Folks, let's recall the REAL purpose of the concept of "separation of church and state". Originally established in an 1802 letter by the great president Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptists, Mr Jefferson claimed that the First Amendment established a wall of separation between the state and the church.  It was understood that there would be no state religion as there was in Britain, from whom the United States had seceded from a quarter-century earlier.
However, Mr Jefferson had no idea that the whole idea would be horribly disfigured by Madalyn Murry O'Hair who would attack prayer in public schools in the early 1960s - as well as activist judges who would thereafter rule against religious expression in public schools.
And let's go back to the phrasing of the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Now let's take a look at one phrase conveniently ignored by the irreligious bigots who run the public schools today:

or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

Why is it that public school administrators and activist judges conveniently ignore that phrase when addressing Christians and Jews - yet putting into place policies that mandate Islamic education for their students - like this
old example from California? Or how about a more recent example from Texas?
The better solution is for us to stand up to these districts and demand that they stop condemning Christianity and Judaism and stop favouring an atheist or biased view of any one religion and start toeing the line and start respecting ALL views, irrespective of the religious views' dominance!

HAPPY CHANUKAH TO ALL MY JEWISH NEIGHBOURS! HASHEM BLESS YOU, HASHEM BLESS YOUR FAMILIES, HASHEM BLESS YOUR NEIGHBOURS!

I come to you today with some serious charges against both the administrators of the MySpace application, Hotties For Sale, in their
neglect of their own application, to the point where hackers have successfully scripted organised raids against numerous users' walls.
I speak from experience because mine has been attacked by such abusers no less than six times in the past week.
I point to some more recent evidence of this ongoing problem through the following screenshots from the users 'Bonnie' and 'Tasha'
who are probably the same person - as well as several other abusers of the application who have hacked Hotties For Sale by raiding
people's walls, sometimes as many as 1000 or more at a time, and this problem has been perpetrated by the following IDs:
LA Rose  ID 452607108, Texas
[Toys] ID 135646551
►Dont Ask◄ ID 123914052
Ice ID 458709636
[Bring It] ID 394268281, Texas

All of them ARE ACTIVELY USING BOTS AND SCRIPTS TO STEAL LARGE NUMBERS OF HOTTIES OFF SEVERAL
PLAYERS' WALLS - MINE INCLUDED ON AT LEAST FIVE OCCASIONS IN THE PAST WEEK - PLUS MY WALL HAS
BEEN SPAMMED WITH POKES FROM ONE OF THOSE ABUSERS!  I SUSPECT THAT TASHA AND BONNIE ARE IN
LEAGUE WITH THOSE APP ABUSERS, AS EVIDENCED IN THE FOLLOWING SCREENSHOTS SHOWING THEIR
ABUSES OF THIS APP:
FOR FURTHER PROOF.  Please take immediate action to put the brakes on this cyberhacking activity immediately.

IF YOUR HFS WALL IS BEING RAIDED BY ONE OF THESE SCRIPTERS YOU MUST:

* Take screenshots immediately.  Note any large numbers of purchases in very short periods of time.  That is your dead giveaway that something is off.

* Note any outrageous comments on your wall.  Take screenshots of that as well.

* Save them to an image hosting site like Photobucket or Imageshack.

* Click REPORT on any comments of that nature on your wall and explain that you are being harassed by that person and add links to the screenshots you just uploaded.

* ALSO send an email to the
administrative contact.  You can even add her as a MySpace friend.

And this is NOT simply limited to that application.  God only knows if that hacker - or those hackers - are attempting to manipulate other applications - not only similar applications like Friends Stock, Own Your Friends, and Friends For Sale - but also other types of applications, like Mobsters, Sorority Life, Overdrive, Street Racing, and so forth - as well as possibly even MySpace itself.
This is a problem that not only the application administrators but also MySpace themselves MUST address immediately.  Please pass the word along to your friends who are on varying apps.  You can even repost this in your own blogs if you like.

WHERE THE HELL ARE YOUR PRIORITIES, AMERICA?

America appears to have its priorities out of order.
We hear news reports about the wrong types of events which do not have any real bearing on the state of our nation and the future of the same.
Because it is OUR future at stake, OUR way of life at stake, and yet we are being done a disservice by most mass media at the present.
Take for instance the inordinate amount of news coverage given to the recent motorcrash the legendary golfer Tiger Woods sustained late one night that exposed an alleged affair.  Although it is noteworthy given his star status in sport, why is that so
important, when we have a spendthrift government hellbent on saddling us with unfunded mandate after unfunded mandate that promises to keep us all mired in a permanent state of debt and deficit, with accelerating deficits as far as the eye can see?
Why do we worry about Tiger Woods' marriage when we have a flawed healthcare proposal that threatens to bankrupt our healthcare industry, ruin private insurance companies, and jack our taxes higher and higher?  Why do we need the trivial things?
Oh, I get it...The mass media want to keep us from knowing the truth about the state of affairs in America.  They want us to ignore the mounting deficits and the proposed new taxes that put hard working Americans in a lower standard of living.  They want us to
ignore the fact that our dollar is rapidly losing value with the manipulative efforts of crass opportunists like George Soros, an avowed Marxist who has attempted to sabotage the British pound sterling and the Thai baht in the same way he has taken his vengeance against the dollar.
They want us to be ignorant of the way things really were...when America still used the gold standard.  Let me put things into perspective:  In 1973 when the dollar was taken off the gold standard petrol could be had for maybe 35 cents a gallon, school lunches were about 25 cents, a candy bar was 15 cents, steak could be had for $1 a pound, and a family of four could afford a week's worth of groceries inside of $20.  People would roll pennies for petrol and with a few rolls could get enough to fill their tanks
halfway.  Even with big hulking eight-cylinder engines cars could easily be filled up inside of a ten-spot.  Many folks still had black and white televisions, with The Brady Bunch, Room 227, and ADAM-12 a regular part of prime time television viewing.  Stereos typically had turntables for records and some folks had eight track players.  And 35 of those dollars would get you an ounce of gold.
Look at where we are now.  Gold just crossed $1100 an ounce.  Unemployment is at 10 percent.  Most of our manufacturing is heavily regulated or driven out of the United States.  We are paying much more in taxes than we would normally pay.  Of course the
top marginal tax rate is much lower but so many different new taxes and fees have been tacked on, coupled with outrageous legal activity by trial lawyers seeking to make a quick buck off the backs of the suffering and ruin American business and American
medical innovation...and what is the next big news article?
That two schmucks managed to sneak past the White House security staff?  OK, I see where the concern is in place, as they could have sneaked in some chemicals, even some toxins, anthrax and ricin scares are possible here.  But one of the things that was left out was that personal friends of Mr and Mrs Obama were handling the security details - much as is the case with so many other aspects of White House life.  Nobody seems to talk much about the cronyism let alone the mad gangster-style methodologies that make Chicago politics so infamous - except maybe on talk radio.  Seems that if you try to bring it up in the mass media you get silence - or in some cases even vitriolic defences of the administration and their allies - and even irrational partisan attacks against those who would dare tell the truth.
And the same attitude persists in the broadsheets.  They will cover it up with the usual hate speech against those they disagree with ideologically.  Then they wonder why their ratings are in the toilet.  That is because people want to know more about the corrupt methods being used to basically ramrod government healthcare down an unwilling populace's throats.  And what do they tell us about?
That a female contemporary singer supposedly happens to have both male and female genitals?  Come on, folks, we can't help how God created Lady Gaga if that is the case, there is nothing we can do about that, even if we are concerned about what some folks at a concert saw when a super short minidress exposed those intimate parts at a concert somewhere.  Leave her alone and let her be.
Even she considers it nothing more than an afterthought.  We can spend our bandwidth, bytes, bits, airtime, and so forth on better subjects, like what dangerous sort of precedent we are setting by allowing civilian trials for terror suspects.  What is the meaning of bringing dangerous terrorists into New York City and having them sitting in a civilian court only blocks from where the worst-ever terrorist attack on American soil took place?  Clearly Mr Holder and company have the wrong idea in taking this out of the domain of the military courts.
And then there are the sensational headlines that glare like supermarket checkout queue rags whilst the real events are being hidden by those that would control the media.  This is why you have seen websites like Drudge Report and Scoop This and NewsMax and World Net Daily and Accuracy In Media pop up.  They get to the hidden stories that most folks wouldn't get to see.  And then you wonder why the newspapers are failing to retain readers!  Now there is some sort of proposed government scheme to subsidise the newspaper industry!?
Why should we have to pay taxes from our hardearned pittances just to support failing newspapers producing biased and slanted news reports and deszinformatsia?!  We don't deserve this grave insult to our intelligence - or our wallets!   Just because a newspaper is doing poorly because of their onesided coverage of virtually every issue we should be forced to subsidise that?  We already get that with National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) - and too often the viewpoints when they address current events and government issues invariably favour bigger government, higher taxes, and less freedom.
Where are your priorities, America?!  Where the hell are your priorities?!  Our country is falling apart around us, the powers that be are letting our freedoms and our traditions get trampled, and some of you are worried about when is Pop Idol coming back.
Yeh.  That's right.
You worry that the Pop Idol runner up, Adam Lambert, engages in simulated homosexual activity with a male dancer and tongue kisses his male guitarist - when our automakers are being forced to produce cars that may not necessarily sell very well,
that force lighter cars with less power and less comfort and possibly a worse danger on the roads?    And this is especially true given the fact that we have seen where lighter cars have often led to lower safety ratings and higher injury and death rates and higher
collision damage rates?  As it stands our highway death rates (in numbers) are similar to what they were two generations ago when Signal 30 was produced to send teen drivers a strong message about the gravity of the responsibility required for driving!
And what is with government control over two-thirds of our automotive industry anyway?  Why should government get to control so much of industry anyway, making them less productive, putting them under increased controls by avaricious unions - this is NOT a blanket indictment of unions per se - and forcing untenable regulations that put unreasonable expectations on the companies?  The idea that the status quo will remain with those changes is quickly disproven in actual practise.  It's no wonder so many northern and eastern urban areas have seen such declines in industrial production and employment, why those businesses have moved to the Mountain Southwest, to the South, to some parts of the Midwest even...Those companies clearly understand, as in the words of the great Cal Thomas, the things that matter most, they do not want that much government control over them, they will accept only so
much, and that is why they are also vigourously opposing government healthcare, because they know it is a power issue, it is a control issue, that if government bureaucrats can control healthcare they can also control productivity, they can also control overhead costs, they can force companies to abandon solid, effective private healthcare systems in favour of an inferior government programme not unlike that of Britain where 50000 operations must be cancelled annually due to lack of available operating theatres and women like my mother are no longer able to get necessary medicines for breast cancer - my mother is a survivor - or Canada where some smaller communities are at the mercy of a government lottery in order to get a physician and people pay half their income in taxes just to have healthcare!
And don't get me started on the Democrats' proposals to force "diversity in ownership" and a "fairness doctrine" that would mandate a onesided left-of-centre viewpoint for ALL media outlets, even on the internet - we have covered that before and you know
and I know damned well that they want to trample every semblance of freedom of speech unless you are parroting the Democrat party line.
And it's not just that part of the First Amendment under attack:  What about that Massachusetts school that have now come under fire from the rest of their local community for their patently anti-Christian attitude toward even Christmas and Chanukah?  Certainly the Chris Matthewses and Jack Caffertys would rather you forget about that and get ready to embrace Mr Obama's latest stimulus thinking he is working for the people.
No, folks, Mr Obama is working for himself - and his media allies - and the same holds true for so many in the White House, in the Cabinet, and in Congress.  Mr Reid, Ms Pelosi, Mr Schumer, Mr Frank, Ms Boxer, Ms Feinstein - you know the names, those and many more are complicit in making sure we don't think about the state of affairs of our
government, they want us to talk more about Michael Jackson passing away...as important as he was to entertainment, he was a great humanitarian and is always going to be regarded as a hero, but forgive me if we must also concentrate on the proposed government trampling of what little freedom we have left.
And then there are the proposals to tax gun ownership out of existence - after all the bureaucrats have already targeted alcohol and tobacco, to the point that when it comes to roll-your-own tobacco the taxes have skyrocketed!  Officials in Los Angeles County CA have already pushed for ammunition taxes - this in a high crime area like Los Angeles - What is next - junk food taxes?  That was tried in California in the early 1990s and did it ever fail.  I remember that tax and it was so incoherent - as is the healthcare bill that the Media's Congress refuse to READ before passing!  We are only two generations removed from a time when secondary school students would stow their rifles in their lockers and instead of the principal calling the police and the BATF on the poor youngster he would go to his car or truck, pull out his rifle, and both student and principal would compare their guns and take notes from each other about hunting.
And let's talk a little more about food.  Suddenly government are in a tizzy over trans fats and saturated fats - when they fail to recognise that freedom and common sense are more important.  They have buffaloed businesses into changing their methods - which is the wrong approach.  Let the companies decide for themselves based upon customer feedback.
Right.
Meanwhile illegal aliens keep sneaking across the border even though many are going home because of our economic struggles - but look at what they are leaving in their wake, compromised healthcare systems, compromised education systems, compromised welfare systems, compromised infrastructure.  And we are already running deficits without the need to repair those systems properly - which is not
possible given the current state of our leadership.
Then there are the lightbulb issues.  I have no problem with the incandescents - though I stopped using them years ago.  I went all-fluorescent by choice and may switch to LED lamps in near future.  But for those who want to keep using plain old incandescent
bulbs instead of compact flourescents - you deserve the freedom of choice no matter how much energy they use.  The government should concern themselves instead with assembling an effective strategy against terrorists in Afghanistan so we can win the war - yet we have too many bean counters in the White House and the DoD who are bent on helping us get beaten, on appeasing terrorists, on forcing a flawed definition of "diversity" - we got burnt by that under Mr Clinton in the 1990s and to a lesser extent under Mr Bush in the 2000s!
Wonder if that was a part of why some lunatic went plumb loco and killed several policemen - and even Mr Huckabee has come clean about his state's role in the whole affair, defending why he acted as he did in spite of what happened.  We are blessed and cursed with idealistic views that even the most dangerous people can be reformed - though it comes down to whether the individual makes an active effort to do the right thing.
The plain and simple is we the people must examine our priorities for America and understand whether we are to just sit down and continue to take the horse manure that comes from inside the Beltway and various state legislatures like Sacramento and Boston and Eugene and St Paul and let them run roughshod over us and help themselves to eternal power - or if we give a damn and stand up and fight for our freedoms - and make sure that we mix in a little common sense with the Kelli Pickler CDs and the Pop Idols and the hot new movies - and work actively to protect our freedoms so we can STILL enjoy those things in future!
Remember the lessons of other societies like Cuba where people live on a pittance today whereas they lived very well before Mr Castro - Sears even had some stores in Cuba during the 1950s and people were shopping for appliances there too!  Is what
happened to Cuba about to become what happens to America?
Well, if you get your priorities straight about this country, you are sure not to allow that.  You can make a difference for liberty.  You can make a difference...if you think about what matters most to you...if you make an effort to recognise a smokescreen like the Tiger Woods controversy or Adam Lambert kissing his male guitarist.  That's because those smokescreens are trivial matters to me.  Find a way to balance our budget, properly arm our military, protect our liberties, cut taxes, stop wasteful spending on porkbarrel projects, stamp out terrorism, properly deal with criminals and terrorists, reform the legal system so torts are heavily discouraged, find a way to protect the acquitted from lawsuits stemming from their acquittals, and then come back and talk to me about those other things like Lady Gaga's body parts or Tiger Woods' alleged mistress.
This is a time for us to get our own priorities straightened out - so we will know what has to be done to protect this country for unborn generations.  As is the case with the old Native American proverb, we are borrowing this country from our children, we did
not inherit it from our parents.  We have inherited values and traditions that transcend race, colour, sex, and even sexuality.  It is those values that we must implement as we get our priorities in order.  It is important for the future of America.

BECAUSE TYRANNY TAKES NO HOLIDAY...EVEN I DIDN'T...BUT...

You thought I was taking this week off?
Why?
Because we had a holiday practically at midweek?
Yeh, I'll admit it was culture shock to see the school speed limit signs still reading 35mi/h and the high school carpark empty when they should have been letting out of classes for the day as I headed back to my house from the postal station where I mailed off a bill on Wednesday. Lucky little folks got a day off, eh?
Well if the likes of Mr Obama, Ms Pelosi, and Mr Reid get their way, they're going to have a lot less of those - there is always some push for a longer school year, just because that's the way things are done in Japan and China and Europe and other faraway places.
Come on, we are wise to this, do you really think they want kids to learn better and retain more? Well yes if it involves totalitarian partisan propaganda on the levels pushed in Cuba and Hussein-era Iraq.
And that is a massive downside: Whilst students overseas are actively learning about plane geometry in the primary grades and calculus in the secondary grades and learning to speak English better than our own kids they are being taught about placing prophylactics on fruits and planting a tree to "save the earth" and "fight global warming" and saturated with Mr Obama's presence in quintessential Maoist fashion.
If anything, school years need to be limited to the time between Labour Day and Memorial Day. The school curricula need to have the crap cleaned out and truly challenging subjects should be employed - geography, physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, economics (and NOT from the more liberal Keynesian viewpoint), history the way it REALLY happened WITHOUT biased methods (don't hide the truly great men and the truly great military battles from our children's history lessons) - so they can learn properly.
Maybe they might even find more room for the finer arts anyway - music, drama, ceramics, carpentry, metalworks - if only they would learn to manage their finances properly.
But then again that is only a small microcosm of our society at large - and evidently the current Congress coupled with the current administration have what the early 1970s soul group, The Last Poets, termed a God complex. They tend to think of us as their students and themselves as instructors and administrators.
Sorry Ms Pelosi, but you are a Congressional representative not a schoolmarm, my English instructor, or my neighbour's principal, and you are abusing your privileges that the people of your district assigned you by virtue of being elected (11 times).
And I hate to bust your bubble Mr Obama but you are NOT a superintendent, a warden, or a jailhouse guard.
Their failure to lead effectively is reflected in massive disagreement and dissent in the American populace, admittedly strong within White and Latino populations, but even Blacks are somewhat distrustful, even though many still support him.
And it is that distrust that is leading the headlong rush against the headstrong attitude of the Democrat leadership. The people realise that they may have only MONTHS to save their country - and they have turned out for the TEA Parties and healthcare town halls in surging numbers, such that a few Congressmen and Congresswomen have tried to hide their townhalls so that only friendly audiences - increasingly scarce - could hear them.
This enthusiasm is not waning; if anything, it is continuing to rise and will be fully felt in less than a year's time at the ballot boxes - in fact speaking of which two Democrat governors have already lost their seats and an independent conservative candidate garnered more than 45 percent of the vote. That was a harbinger of things to come - and the Democrats will pay dearly for their headstrong pigheaded stubbornness.

RADICAL ENVIROMENTALISTS' LIES FURTHER EXPOSED!

Close on the heels of the discovery of multiple emails between radical environmentalists a number of reports about manmade climate change have been heavily scrutinised and discovered to be so woefully inadequate that the very concept itself has been undermined.
Take for instance the
discovery of inaccuracies within at least eight papers allegedly describing historical temperature records. The British climate research centre, CRU, at University East Anglia have come under heavy fire for flawed data showing insufficient research for raw data. A total of one dozen tree cores were used in their research alleging that only in more recent times has it gotten warmer, and in a 1990s report only three trees were used to determine similar results.
And what about the polar bear population alleged to be shrinking? Not the case; in fact 11 of 13 polar bear populations have been proven to be growing in numbers - so much that
local hunters must work to control their populations. In fact the new Alaskan governor, Mr Parnell - the gentleman who replaced the People's Vice President, Mrs Palin, when she resigned earlier this year - has gone rogue himself as his office have sued to stop the administration of the Media's President, Mr Obama, and specifically the Environmental Protection Agency, from abusing the Endangered Species Act with regard to polar bear populations and federal government interference with domestic oil exploration and harvesting.
And these are just the tip of the iceberg. Evidently the effort by radical environmentalists masquerading as scientists to
hide the truth about weather patterns - patterns that have been in play longer than man has been on Earth - has become exposed as a science unto itself. Was the real truth about those weather patterns so contrary to their agenda they felt the need to hide or even destroy evidence contrary to their beliefs? It might well have been - as their grave deceptions are coming to light for more and more people who are realising the full scale impact of radical environmental policies.

MEDIA'S CONGRESS STILL PUSHING FOR GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE FAILURE

Even as Mr Obama's administration seek to put all their political stock in a horribly flawed government healthcare scheme, it is plainly evident that though the debate will come to the floor the bill is all but certain to fail.
Whilst Mr Reid and his cohorts dangled some $300m in front of Ms Landrieu - Ms Lincoln still showed some reluctance, as did even Ms Snowe - and Mr Lieberman reiterated his promise to filibuster the Senate healthcare proposal.
Folks, given the polarising opposition by most Americans to the bill, we can safely say that there is about to be a massive fight - that promises extensive figurative political bloodshed in the coming election season.
And it is our prerogative to remain on point and continue learning more and more about the bill, by bringing specific portions of the bill to light, including those that penalise people financially and legally simply for not going along with the healthcare scheme. It is a typical authoritarian extension of totalitarians who seek control over entire segments of our economy.
Government-managed healthcare has proven a failure in basically every country that has tried it - and such a failure in Mr Obama's birthplace, Hawai'i, that the scheme was abandoned in that state after a mere seven months. Massachusetts and Oregon have failed in their deliverance of healthcare under a government-managed scheme - as one glaring example from earlier in the 2000s involving an ailing Oregon old age pensioner who was offered assisted "suicide" in lieu of a life-saving drug (which admittedly didn't help her either).
Given that healthcare options will be adversely affected and severely curtailed if this proposal ever passes - it is a reflection of government control on a larger scale, something that is not typically reflected by American policies; moreover our founding fathers would have openly rebelled against Mr Obama's, Mrs Pelosi's, and Mr Reid's proposals. They would not have tolerated such a socialised system; matter of fact even those that were with us as late as the 1950s would have opposed this quite openly.  Even Mr Johnson met his critics during the 1960s when his administration rolled out the so-called Great Society which has failed to eradicate poverty even after trillions of dollars have been transferred from the hardworking to the mendicants of our society.
But unfortunately we have been met with an elitist government who seek to silence any opposition to their plans, in the name of fairness. One friend of mine who hosts an internet radio programme has stated that the Democrat party mean the exact opposite of what they actually say. I would not go that far, but the elitists certainly are doing far more harm than good - which is what is making Americans rebel, against the "Fairness" Doctrine that would essentially destroy talk radio, against the "Performance Tax" which would cut off the music from radio airplay or send huge sums of money to foreign businesses all because they no longer hold total control over the distribution of music, and certainly against this monstrosity of a healthcare bill.
A number of Democrat proposals are about to hit the rocks in so many ways - and the elitists in charge are about to hit their Waterloo. Looks like Rush Limbaugh is not the only one wishing failure for Mr Obama.

STIMULUS JOBS FOUND IN DISTRICTS THAT DON'T EXIST

The Double Zero Congressional District in Louisiana. The 99th District in Ohio. The 99th District in North Dakota.
What do those districts have in common?
ANSWER: They have
received federal stimulus money for jobs in those areas.
AND they do not exist.
Yet the Obama Administration continue pointing to those numbers on their website, Recovery.org, though they have
had to work on errors contained within that website, thus they are being confronted with their own errors contained within their own grandiose thinking.
But typographical errors
giving the impression of phantom districts really draw serious suspicion, if not necessarily about a gang that couldn't shoot straight, then at least one that are fiscally reckless, such that they cannot even keep proper track of the money entailed.
And then there is the nature of the jobs. Most of those jobs cited
were tied to the public sector, including some temporary jobs for youths - meaning the deceptive nature glares even more pointedly.
We already knew that that massive economic stimulus was a major mistake. We are beginning to see its dangerous effects on American society. You are witness to a surging awareness that is turning into a call to action and a measure to stand up for what is right. That surging awareness will lead more and more people to the truth as it already has done in recent months with events like the TEA Parties across America, a populist sense that there is something terribly wrong with the federal government - as it is. And the action promises to bode poor results for Democrats in the next few election cycles.
Their attitude of the "emperor's new clothes" has just been exposed for the horrid lie that it is - the people can see through the naked propaganda of the media and the administration they appear to be puppeteering.

CHRISTOPHOBIA AT A MASSACHUSETTS PRIMARY SCHOOL: NO CHRISTMAS ALLOWED

Byam Primary School in Chelmsford MA have
established an outrageous policy that prohibits the marketing of Christmas and Chanukah products.
And parents of students at that school are
prepared to work to overturn this ban.
The explanation for the exclusion of those things is in effort not to let children be left out - which is asinine and outrageous, especially when you consider that most Americans, even those in Massachusetts, are Christians.
And even those who don't celebrate Christmas still draw some joy from the festivities of the season.
But before we make an unfair allegation that the reason for excluding Christmas from the school is so the young folks can absorb more "gay propaganda" - we must take into account that this policy has been in place since the early 1980s, thus predating the great push toward sensitising Americans' attitudes toward homosexuals (some of which HAS been necessary), many of whom ALSO celebrate Christmas - thus even the children of homosexual couples, married and otherwise, in that school are ALSO bearing the unfair brunt of irrational partisanism against the Christian majority.
Such an attitude toward Christmas denies reality and imposes a false sense of "diversity".
And with the corruption of the concept of "diversity" comes a discriminatory double standard - which is played out very clearly in California public schools, where Islam is taught extensively to intermediate school students but God help you if you dare to mention Christian Scriptures.
The irony is another primary school in the community
have no such restrictions on their holiday shop - meaning Byam Primary School must hang their head in shame for their aggravatingly disgusting attitude toward Christmas.
Let us hope that the parents of students at that school WILL band together to overturn the ridiculous policy.

AS MR INHOFE DECLARES VICTORY FOR SCEPTICANS, ENVIROMENTAL RADICALS GET EXPOSED

Whilst US Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) was
claiming victory for sceptics of so-called "global warming", a cache of emails dating back 13 years was discovered that showcases environmental radical scientists' longstanding propaganda campaign promoting the falsehoods of so-called "global warming".
Now mind you I would frown upon hacking as a method to
gain such evidence - but some 61 megabytes of information were uncovered exposing the degree of fraud and deception in the communication of the message promoting man's role in so-called "climate change".
This included
manipulating the annual temperature data in order to show results differing from reality.
Scepticans have pointed to this as an
example of hiding the true results from the masses and maybe this has indeed warranted suspicion toward the radical environmentalists seeking to impose totalitarian measures in the name of the environment - especially the scientists who parrot propaganda friendly to their cause.
It is fairly easy to understand that global warming and climate change are merely liberal buzzwords designed to shame Americans for success and prosperity. Why, because we have innovated ways to transport ourselves and our products, because we have innovated ways to live a more comfortable life, because we have developed ways to advance ourselves in terms of industry and technology and science? The continued campaign against our freedom in the name of the environment has just been embarassed - and Americans and others have the obligation to wake up to reality.
The reality is weather patterns have changed for millenia and more without mankind's involvement. Indeed there are the urban heat islands in a number of built-up areas but in the end the real differential is far less than feared - and those urban areas are not nearly as harmful to the environment as those scientists had feared. But even then there are the complaints about aeroplane contrails across the sky - which have reduced in nature as a result of decreased economic activity, no doubt fuelled by a certain politician's complaints during his presidential campaign in 2008 about us flying everywhere - and more silliness coupled in with fearmongering and propaganda.
Deceptive thinking and disinformation about our weather patterns - which conveniently ignore past weather patterns going back decades and centureies - has poisoned a lot of minds - but this may be the beginning of the end of their influence on meteorology.

DID A VIRUS SKEW RESULTS IN NEW YORK'S 23D CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT SPECIAL ELECTION?

Now it has been discovered that Hamilton County (NY) Democrat officials
had discovered a virus in some of their voting machines - and human error was alleged for the reason for mistakenly entering "0" votes for the Conservative party candidate, Mr Hoffman, in the election that saw the district's first Democrat Congressman since the War Of Northern Aggression - Mr Owens - sent to Washington.
St Lawrence County officials also reported apparent freezing in the electronic voting machines - and then there is Mr Hoffman and his committee discovering thousands of uncounted votes.
And then there is the detail about the
voting machines that were not certified yet still used in that election anyway.
But before we call BS on elections as a whole, we need to see about a further investigation into the electronic machines first - and as some people have called for the lever-operated manual voting machines to be kept in place those will need to be kept on standby.
Additionally, there is a need to get more reliable voting machines - and maybe the same types of machines that I myself have voted on in more recent elections, similar to the ScanTron (TM) test sheets we used in school back in the 70s and 80s. Perhaps ScanTron could be brought in to show those companies how to get the basic mechanics built and programmed right - and additional programmers, either from Microsoft or Apple or Unix or Linux or Maxthon or some other outfit, could be brought in to tamperproof the election machines, or at least make them much more tamper resistant.
The plain and simple is the programmes in place are susceptible to fraud and corruption. The involvement of controversial organisations like ACORN magnify that point, even if they are not actually involved in any part of the actual handling and manipulation of machines.
This means that the onus of rectification is on you and me - and we have to band together to get involved, to demand the cleansing of these processes, even to the point of a wholescale replacement of all election board members by electing a whole new crop - and this is all the more reason LOCAL elections matter. The old expression, All politics are local, rarely made more sense in that regard.

PUTTING MS PELOSI ON BLAST: A BRAVE AMERICAN PATRIOT REMINDS HER OF REALITY

It is no secret that the Media's House Speaker, Ms Pelosi, has polarised Americans in ways no other House Speaker has ever done in Congress.
But now that Ms Pelosi has
claimed in defamatory fashion that people who protest the policies of the Democrat Congress and Mr Obama's administration are allegedly "un-American", a North Carolina war veteran turned lawyer took Ms Pelosi to task and brutally upbraided herraising hell with Ms Pelosi and her ilk.
In his scathing letter, that brave attorney suggested that Ms Pelosi "return to the city of fruitcakes and nuts and eat your husband's canned tuna and pineapple produced by illegal immigrants and by workers that have been excluded from the protection that 90% of the legal workers in the United States have" - clearly references to the San Francisco district she represents, her husband's ownership of canneries in American Samoa, and possibly even their own employment practises, including non-union employees, as well as the use of illegal aliens in employment.
Because so many millions of Americans have taken the time to get educated about the proposed healthcare bill and continue to order their representatives to vote down the complex bill - Ms Pelosi has played dirty by blasting them with inflammatory pejoratives, including those that imply treason simply for rejecting lying propaganda. Clearly that is a despicable attitude for ANY political leader to take toward opponents. Newt Gingrich NEVER adopted that kind of attitude - if anything he even welcomed critics.
Ms Pelosi has clearly lost the confidence of the American people - and possibly even a number of voters in her own district. Her irrational partisanism may well play in her district but evidently San Francisco values don't play on the other side of the San Mateo County Line. Hell, they barely play on the other side of the Transbay Bridge or the Golden Gate Bridge...and most certainly not very well east of the Coast Ranges either.

COULD UNIONS REALLY WIPE OUT A SUPERMARKET CHAIN? NOT NECESSARILY, BUT...

Currently Phoenix (AZ)-area supermarket employees involved with the local office of the United Food and Commercial Workers labour union are preparing to possibly strike, and grocery giants Safeway and Kroger-owned Frys
have been working to fill temporary positions that could arise in the event of a strike.
One possible fear is that one of the two chains could be knocked out of Arizona by a lengthy strike. That is not necessarily the case as the patrons of those two chains will continue shopping at those stores for the same basic reasons that they did before; moreover with competition from Walmart and Smiths and other grocery chains the two chains have already been pressed with regard for competition.
Not everyone wants to shop at a Supercentre or warehouse type environment. And even some UFCW members
have expressed their own concerns about being out of work at the holidays. Perhaps the union bosses need to take that into consideration, especially with surging unemployment rates and businesses failing.
As an Arizona State University economics professor indicated, the striking labourers are not likely to find any sympathy particularly in this flagging economy with unemployment past 10 percent nationally. If anything, the Obama administration's moves toward pampering unions with flawed legislation like the "Employee Free Choice Act" will magnify local outrage toward any striking labourers.
And even if strikers make it possible to make it hostile to shoppers who wish to shop even at risk of crossing a picket line, there could still be a police presence in the event of such hostilities and possibly even a security presence as well.
Certainly a protracted strike would leave a negative impression of the labour unions on Arizonans and other Americans, but Frys and Safeway would still remain standing; furthermore they would look at offering more sales to remain competitive, but ultimately the striking labourers would find themselves hardpressed to gain any public sympathy.
Maybe companies involved with unions might be more reticent to employ union labourers, even though they would have to approach that with great caution with regard to labour laws.
But even in the rare event that Frys or Safeway are forced out of the state because of striking union labourers - it is possible that a United States Attorney could exercise the option to investigate for possible Racketeer Influence and Control Organisation (RICO) Act violations - specifically violations of Section 1952, which regulates interstate commerce. However such a prosecution would be fairly difficult as the general economic status was already negative to start with.
So there is a way that either the corporate side or the union side could hang themselves - and maybe even both could wind up battered in the end. More than likely the chains will work toward offering resolutions, but the union management will ultimately have to make some major concessions - as automotive labour unions like the UAW, and their Canadian equivalent, the CAW, have already had to do.

ITALIAN COURT CONVICT AMERICANS INNOCENTLY FIGHTING TERRORISTS SIMPLY FOR DOING THEIR JOB

When America took the lead on the War On Terror they had to undertake controversial methods that included rendition of terror suspects.
However, the consequences of such renditions have led to politically biased authorities in other countries adopting negative, pro-terrorist attitudes - and recently they came to a head in Italy when 23 Americans were wrongfully
prosecuted in their efforts to deal with the notorious terror suspect Abu Omar.
You read that right - 23 Americans innocently doing their job to protect us from terrorist activity in the wake of the 11 September attacks have been prosecuted in absentia.
Fortunately the court's efforts to extradite Americans to Italy for this sham of a show trial had been rejected or ignored, but the Italian executive branch should have stepped in and put the brakes on this. Both Mr Berlusconi and Mr Prodi - the latter served for a time earlier in the 2000s - dropped the ball on this matter. They could have been more proactive against terrorism by stopping this destructive effort.
Any government that would allow the prosecution of any American military personnel or officials simply for doing their job to stop terrorism should be ashamed of themselves and must resign immediately.
Inasmuch as abuses of power are possible there is NO justification for trying those 23 Americans simply for taking action to get information from Mr Omar. But the Italian constitutional court should most certainly be commended for disallowing the prosecution's flawed evidence - though that was not far enough. They should have terminated the trial and stopped allowing this breach of American - and Italian - sovereignty. It does not make any sense to prosecute an interrogator trying to get information from terrorists.

MEDIA'S HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PASS HEALTHCARE BILL BY NARROW MARGIN

Last weekend, whilst Americans mourned the dead in the terrorist attack upon Fort Hood in Texas, the Media's House Of Representatives, helmed by Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, passed, by a narrow margin, with one lone Republican - Mr Cao, a first-term Louisiana Congressman - joining 219 Democrat colleagues in voting in favour of the flawed monstrosity of a health care scheme.
But with 215 votes against this measure - several dozen coming from Democrats - this bill is facing a rocky vertical cliff in the United States Senate. Presumably this will be dead on arrival - and this is even as the bill contains language that blocks funding for abortions.
Ironically, that addition brought public support from some prominent Catholics - though there is no reason to involve them in the healthcare debate. This is solely a political issue and need not involve the religious faiths - even though Christendom, Judaism, and Islam all condemn abortion, particularly on demand.
There are too many outraged Americans screaming HELL NO! to this flawed scheme that a massive majority of Americans disapprove of - ESPECIALLY as Independent Media outlets continue exposing measures regarding mandatory coverage under severe financial penalties and even jail time under the bill.
What Americans fear is a complete government takeover of basically one-fifth of our economy - and already certain chunks of our industrial sector are under government control. The American people have increasingly seen too much overbearing methodology from the White House, and certainly Mr Obama is seen in a more negative light, you have seen that, I have seen that, hell, I have even WRITTEN about that, and with a stronger showing for Republicans over Democrats in a recent poll - meaning that no matter how much the Establishment Media try to spin the measure, they cannot change the reality that Americans reject the failed methodology that has hampered healthcare in a number of foreign countries.
Government takeover of healthcare is certainly NO solution to whatever problems there are in healthcare - and the wrongheaded approach of focusing on building bureaucracy instead of loosening the red tape straitjacket and implementing tort reform and giving medical professionals more freedom has burnt the advocates of healthcare.
The idea that healthcare needs to be nationalised is a woefully ignorant position that needs to be abandoned altogether. Instead of bureaucracy, let the free market take care of the problem. Simple steps like allowing health insurance companies to offer their services and businesses across state lines is a big step forward.
And then the "jackpot justice" attitude has to be addressed as well. Why is it that people are allowed to gain such outrageous sums of money that hospitals are forced to close their doors and healthcare companies are restricted in their scope of operation? Trial lawyers exploit the suffering for the sake of their own greed. They need to be dealt with very forcefully by federal prosecutors who have the testicular and ovarian fortitude to prosecute under the underutilised Racketeer and Influence Controlled Organisation (RICO) Act of 1970 for their efforts to undermine the healthcare industry.
This is not to say that people should not be able to seek legal remedies for reasonable instances of malpractise - they most certainly should still be able to have that right but there needs to be common sense at the bench and at the law office. Perhaps mediation is a better solution for some of those things, as the cases are more reasonably resolved, and if the victim gains a reward it is only for reasonable expenses like additional medical expenses. It shouldn't necessarily give the trial lawyer an opportunity to buy a private island in the Caribbean! But this is just a small part of the problem associated with the healthcare bill, that the wrong people are being targeted for the wrong reason.
Healthcare reform may be a noble idea but it needs to come with some common sense - something seriously lacking in that bill.

A SICKENING FAMILY PORTRAIT UNFOLDS IN MISSOURI

Six men from a family have been arrested in western Missouri within and just east of the Kansas City metropolitan area as well as Iowa for a
sickening, horrific child rape case with disgusting details involved.
In addition to local and county police services, the Missouri State Highway Patrol have been involved in the case of the Mohler family men, who have reportedly engaged in pederasty and even bestiality - and the family farm in Lafayette County has been excavated for jars containing notes from the young victims who wrote about what was happening to them at the hands of the men.
Sordid details of the case include mock weddings of young girls to the older men - and in one case a rape resulted in an 11-year-old getting an abortion. Authorities are stating that their focus is on the glass jars, although there could be dead bodies on the soil.
When a young child is sexually violated by an adult, it is a horrific happenstance, but when several men in an entire family are involved, with an older man and four sons acting in such criminal fashion, you know that there is a severe threat to organised society. If these charges are proven to be true - then those paedophiles clearly deserve never to see sunlight outside of state prison confinement ever again. It is unclear whether they will serve such sentences at the Ozark Correctional Facility near Seymour - east of Springfield - or at the State Prison in Potosi, in east-central Missouri, southwest of St Louis.
But one thing is for certain, they will clearly deserve the scorn that abusers of children routinely earn.

LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE FOR ARKANSAS NEWS PRESENTER'S MURDERER

David Vance has been
sentenced to life without parole for his brutal attack that resulted in severe facial injuries and ultimately the death of Little Rock AR news presenter Anne Pressly.
The jury's deliberation over the punishment phase took place the day after Mr Vance was adjudicated guilty, and after three hours, he wound up with a total of two life sentences and 30 years for additional charges that included rape, burglary, and theft. After the sentence Ms Pressly's father was observed to have said that Mr Vance
would have to be carried out of the Tucker maximum state penitentiary for there to be a true judgment for him.
The small town located south of England and roughly 60 kilómetros (37mi) southeast of Little Rock is the location where David Vance will live out the rest of his years behind bars for his patently heinous crimes, so brutal that Ms Pressly lost a tooth.
He will positively have to live with the burden of the horrid mess that he created, not only for a family, but also for a whole community.
What motivates people to kill so brutally? What motivates the human mind to descend to such a low that a man cannot contain himself properly, that he must destroy an innocent human life, even to the point of using her credit card after the murder? Apparently Mr Vance had a rough childhood, even to the point of being brutally beaten as a small child for smearing faeces on the wall. Whilst that is certainly a disgusting act for a child to engage in, he certainly did not deserve such a beating, but even if he sustained brain damage as a result, all indicators point to lack of strong proper parental skills and a truly negative home environment, but the worst part is no one ever bothered to teach him about the concept of self-responsibility.
And it is on that note that Mr Vance has killed not only the future of Ms Pressly but also his own future - which will now consist of routine cell searches, heavily structured times for meals, recreation, and general life. He made his own bed - now he sleeps in it.

ACORN SUING AFTER BEING CUT OFF FEDERAL FUNDING

It looks like the corrupt and controversial community organisation ACORN are digging themselves an even deeper hole...as now the organisation
are suing over the loss of federal funding. But their own methodologies captured on undercover video have already condemned the organisation and helped expose a number of problems - and as other folks probed deeper into all of the activities of ACORN they have uncovered the fraud, corruption, and undue politicial influence - the last of which has been sepulchred by their own petards.
They cry that the decisions to end the practise of funding ACORN amount to a "bill of attainder" - punishing a group or person without benefit of a trial, a violation of Article One of the Constitution - but when they failed to oversee their own offices and their own personnel, they dug their own trench and now the dirt has spilled back into the hole.
To sue over the loss of their political influence is ludicrous at best and horrible at worst, as they are showing their true colours, that they feel they are entitled to behave corruptly. But the problem is more and more people are demanding more ethical behaviour from all of our organisations as well as our government. They have not seen it in ACORN lately and they will certainly not see it until ACORN themselves stop blaming others and look at themselves.
They can blame Mr Geithner, Mr Orszag, and Mr Donovan all they want, but they need to look at their own failure to administer themselves ethically - which is easy when considering how closely they worked with the labour union SEIU.
Corruption is the failing of ACORN - and if such a lawsuit is allowed to proceed they will merely underscore that as they expose themselves further and further.

TWO ACRES OF CRIMINALITY EXPOSED NEAR KANSAS CITY

In recent weeks, Clay County authorities
have exposed a widespread plethora of stolen property on a one-hectare (2 acre) site in suburban Kansas City.
It started with a shots fired call and ended with
hundreds of thousands of dollars of motor vehicles and stolen industrial equipment stashed in numerous railway storage containers - and even netted an arrest for child endangerment involving the dangerous conditions of a dilapidated house.
Sadly there is the problem of dishonesty with regard to industrial sites - as they are often ripe for the pickings of prospective thieves who are hellbent on making a quick buck with stolen property.
Irresponsible behaviour is the root of the problems that led to stolen equipment from as far as 100mi away turning up in those storage containers. Certainly the Missouri City site attracted attention from neighbours before that shots fired call was made, as the owners told them to mind their own business.
Of course when you do hear of shots fired and there is no genuine criminal activity involved to justify that, you do tend to find some unpleasant surprises, like the multitude of appliances in one container.
But let it be known that the property owner has basically sealed his own fate by virtue of the evidence being detailed by the authorities.
