POSITION SUMMARY:

Manage and maintain company's worldwide intellectual property portfolio (patents, trademarks, and licensing) and all systems and database associated therewith, including docketing management systems.  This position prepares and files employment-based petitions for visas.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and prepare patent and trademark dockets and foreign patent matters.
  • Advise patent attorneys on Patent Office rules and procedures.  Advise Human Resources on immigration and I-9 issues.
  • Oversee outside counsel compliance with cost control policies.
  • Prepare budget reports and assist with operating budgets.
  • Provide reports for patent review meetings.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in patent and trademark matters and immigration matters.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, SAP, Patent and Trademark Management System.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a high volume of requests in a timely manner.

JOB SUMMARY
Evaluate current systems, processes, cycle times, and materials used in the manufacturing process and lead continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing, handling, and shipping of all products in an effort to reduce manufacturing costs and lead-time to customers.

Education/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
        

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
            
  • At least three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment.
            
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and statistical software a plus.  
            
  • Lean Manufacturing training and experience a plus.  
            
  • Good oral and written communication.  
            
  • Experienced in use of Video Recording equipment.
