Cafe Diem has decided to stop having bands on friday night so that means we have a night of pent up rock to give. At least we weren't the band that showed up last friday and were told to go home.

ok. so radio station's haven't used vynil for a long ass time but it still sounds rad.
So the response we had to last weeks spin on B101.5 in Fredericksburg, VA was massive. Apparently they're still getting requests for us. Why stop now? We're steps away from getting added into regular rotation. We can make this happen if all our friends keep demanding to hear "228". As Maury Finckle said so well in the blockbuster movie, Starsky and Hutch, "DO IT!".... so here are the links:

thanks to everyone who made it out to Mullilgan's Friday. We hadn't played there in a long time and it was good coming back to the scene of some much debauchery. Early on it felt like flashbacks from years ago. then Dancin' Man showed up and rocked the house. He could've been on SOLID GOLD. he said he missed the audition but i swear i've seen him dancin' somewhere else. it's hard to keep up with such a dancer. I tried but when my jeans began to rip into sexy shorts i conceded. Thanks to our friends "the Journey fans" for filling in our breaks between sets with acapelle version of Steve Perry's greatest hits..... we'll be back soon. later. steve

the other night we had a little shindig at GH HQ aka the house of Sykes aka Jay's place...  we finished work on some brand new songs and some close friends got to hear them for the first time, a little sloppy with beer but still in effect.  once that was over the festivities began.  some grillin'. some drinkin'. some smokin'. some drinkin'.  Jay's cd player didn't work but we were lucky enough to have LT's mp3 player in the house to dj the evening.  good things are in the works as summer comes to a close.

if anyone knows of a good photographer in the RVA area send them our way.  we need promo pics. so all our new friends can see our pretty faces.

no this isn't an anti-bush statement.... jay would not approve.

the last two records that I've fallen in love with are from Canada.... Arcade Fire and the New Pornographers.   yes they're critic's choices and like siskel and ebert i never usually agree but shit  these are bad ass albums.  I'm only talking for myself cause I don't know that the other peeps in the band have heard or care to hear these records but fuck my world is blown.  yes, I'm the "artsy" guy of the band but I grew up on Def Leppard and Motley Crue.... cock rock is not art.  Nikki Sixx throws sixes at the world.... i still love them today.  la la la.

if nikki sixx was inclined to write something with lyrics like dylan or the meaninless emo word or a radiohead album:  a) it world break the hearts of the most positive people in the world b) it would blow your nutsack off.  whatever you think of him, he writes badass rock songs that will last forever. his craft is undeniable. (yes there is some crap but name a songwriter that has't written shit, i've got a whole drawer full.... yes even thom yorke has written crap songs. you just haven't heard them cause they got erased or are in a very deep hole.)

i've got a master of music degree so this is not coming from any random music fan.  beethoven would be down with nikki and the aforementioned albums.

oh yeah, tommy lee in college is the most hystrical thing I've ever seen.  I mean what other 40 year old is going to ask a dorm room full of "co-eds" - who's wearing panties?
