What's up everyone?

June is going to be a busy month for me.  I am at the
Denver Improv June 11-14, the San Diego Civic Center June 20th and at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL June 21st.  I recently filmed a couple of comedy shorts for www.funnyordie.com. One is with Alicia Silverstone and Alanis Morrisette and the other is with Verne Troyer aka "Mini-Me". Look for them. They'll be posted sometime in this month.

I want to thank everyone for continuing to watch House of Payne on TBS.  We just got picked up for another 46 episodes.  We dont have a shooting schedule yet but most likely we will start up in August or early September.  I have some big news but I can't talk about it yet. Hopefully next month I'll be able to share the news with everyone.

 I am on Twitter now

Till next month, talk to everyone later.

Hey Happy Belated New Year.  It is a big week. I am at the Improv in Tampa this week and the Super Bowl is there and it is going to be crazy.  Steeler fans take their football a little too serious. I heard spousal abuse goes up in Pittsburgh when the Steelers lose.

My movie COLLEGE is now in stores, so go to Blockbuster, Amazon, or wherever and pick that up.  The DVD is unrated so I don't know what they are going to show.

Next week I am at the Stardome in Birmingham, AL.  So if any of you know anyone in Tampa this week or Birmingham next week be sure to have them come check out a show.

Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all thorugh the trailer  mama was smoking, daddy was cussin' like a sailor.

As I woke that morning with some loud chatter, I asked my mama where's my daddy she said it don't matter.

Your daddy left and he ain't give no reason, this was quite normal in the trailer during the hoilday season.

My daddy would disappear when he drank but he always came back, but this year was different mama started messing with a mack.

Mama introduced me as Gary her only son, this new guy said go check on that turkey boy I think it might be done.

As I opened the oven the turkey was burnt charcoal black, The mack looked at my mama and said this trailer park thanksgiving is whack.

Mr mack stormed out yelled to my mama call me when you learn how to cook, as I looked around our plates and television was missing the mack was a crook.

No tv no kitchen utensils Thanksgiving wasn't looking good, but mama made it work like she always would.

I said mama what are we gonna do we have no plates or turkey, so that Thanksgiving we had tang and beef jerkey.

Many of you may hear this and think this story is so sad, but I got to know my mama that day as we talked and laughed and to be honest beef jerkey isn't that bad.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Hey eveyone this is Gary Owen. I am in Des Moines, Iowa this weekend at
the Funnybone.  This is my first time in Des Moines and it is exactly
how I pictured it.  A little slow in the nightlife and daylife but the
people are nice and the crowds have been great so far.  The Funnybone
is nice with a great staff.  I just got back from Belize in Central
America.  It was wild out there to say the least.  I was shocked when I
got there that everyone spoke English, Belize just got it's
independence from England a little over 20 years ago.  The people of
Belize are beyond friendly I saw some of the worst living conditions I
have ever seen but even under those circumstances the people were still
positive and smiling and had no desire to leave Belize. It really
opened my eyes to just how small America is, there is a whole world out
there.  I encourage everyone to get a passport and travel as much as
you can outside of the states.  I had an awesome show in Belize I was
little nervous not knowing how my material would translate but they
have all American cable channels so alot of people knew me from BET.  I
start working on Tyler Perry's House of Payne this Monday.  I am
excited to finally get on a sitcom as a regular.  I am and always will
be a road comic but hopefully this will expand my fanbase.  Look for me on
the new season. The show airs on wednesday's on TBS.  I play a guy
named Zach, he's the new barber in the barbershop.  Till next time.
Keep laughing and keep smiling.
