A sad day for all concerned indeed, Gengus (those lovable rogues) have decided to call it a day......then we realised that it already was a day, so we split up instead.

Shit jokes aside i'm sad to bring this news. but i reckon it was time and it's for the best.........& it ended neatly enough, friendships intact which was our main concern. so anyway thanks to everyone who was apart of the Gengus story & all the best for the future.

The remains of the band are looking at getting a new movement going, in what shape or form is uncertain to say but it'll happen sooner rather than later...

anyroad.........i'm sad to say i must be on me way, so buy me beer and whiskey 'cos i'm goin' far way.........

After Mondays drunken mess in the Mezz we really wanted to do right on this one..........so........We rocked up are set to double-speed and belted out a few tunes......but..........the put us on first, gave us half as long as the other bands & funnily enough the winners went on last, got the longest set & knew the organisers & judges........what a pile of shite. battle of the cock-noses.

anyroad, hope we'll be getting a few more gigaroonies organised soon.

This is a very good band with a lot of potential with some good tunes and with a hint of indie rock to there style

ICE COLD RAIN (rough mix) This tune has a nice hook in the bass line it gives the song a cool groove and adds to the melody, the vocals on this track could be better even if its only a rough mix.

YISRISALL (rough mix) Here is a great upbeat song reminds me of a old "JAM" number, very well composed with some great lyrics but yet again the vocal lets this song down too.

Something special is occurring in Crawdaddy on November 21st. Not only are we being treated to three talented local bands (those being Hybrasil, Vinyl Moon and Gengus), but there will also be magicians, firedancers and the odd henna artist knocking about for your enjoyment. Hybrasil was formed in June of 2003 after a group of friends, acquaintances and assorted miscreants in Wicklow Town. Touted as one of the top ten bands most likely to succeed in Ireland in 2005 by IMRO the band was also selected to perform on the 'IMRO Showcase Tour.' With opening slots for the La's and Snow patrol under their belts, and some juicy big name supports on the verge of being announced, Hybrasil are no strangers to big occasions. Vinyl Moon is a five piece from Dublin. Very much based on guitar driven rock and roll, the bands influences stretch back through the 80's, 70's, 60's, and to the early American blues artists. And finally, Gengus is a young band from the city of Dublin. Mad to make an impact and get their music heard. Never one's to follow trends the lads have resisted the current 'indie rock movement' and stuck to their guns, doing what they can to develop their own personal sound. Doors for this one off event open at 8pm. Admission is €10.
