Hello Everyone,
Just an FYI that we are officially on hiatus and done promoting and hosting for the year--we pulled out of the November Glitter and Gold event. We were supposed to promote til the end of the year and then debate on next year's streak of events, but I made the official call last week that we would end early and not continue next year. When will we return is not yet determined. However, I do know that we are done with the nightclub promoting scene--too much money and energy invested and not enough capital gain (believe me, I know this for a fact)--and when the time does arrive for us to ressurect the business, it will definitely be for a different arena within the entertainment scope. I've come to realize that the income we generate--even if it's a couple of thousands a month--is not enough for me to bother with considering the risk of a failed event, someone sueing me for getting injured at my event, or even getting hit with a beer bottle in the face (yes, this almost happened when a big fight broke out). Additionally, it is all too exausting when you're hosting and promoting EVERY SINGLE weekend for years (imagine promoting TWO different clubs in one weekend--hence why we turned down Saturdays at Element). Not only that, it gets old and less interesting. I've been there, I know exactly what the road ahead looks like. Per my research, the entertainment nightlife will only sustain for so long (2-3 years max), and then it starts to die, and then everyone shifts to the next hot spot. We've had our turn (and a good run for that matter), time to move on to bigger and better things that will be more lucrative and require less manpower.
Until then, we will see all of you at one of our fellow promoters' events, whether it be at an event hosted by NGP, Big Buzz, Chozen One, or whomever.
From all of us at G Entertainment... Party hard, Drink Responsibly, and Have a Blast!!!
Julie, G Entertainment Event Coordinator

Hello Everyone,
I know I've been so out of the loop lately. I do apologize. I've just been sooooo incredibly busy juggling a million and one things. However, no worries, I shall return soon enough and will post pictures as a gift when I do (sorry I put the albums back on 'private'). I'm stressed out about HIN coming up next weekend and trying to get everything done in time. Phew!! I'll have to relax with a beer once the show is over.... NOT. =P Hope everyone has been well. *kisses*

It's that time again. Hot Import Nights is coming back to MINNESOTA. I'll be working with them to coordinate the Mazda and Urban stages again this year, so if you or someone you know would like to be a part of the show, please forward the info to julieyang76@yahoo.com. I'm particularly interested in dance crews this year, similar to America's Top Dance Team.

Hosting events at Karma has always been sort of a challenge due to the club having multiple promoters. But despite that fact, I've never actually lost sleep over it, probably because unlike Myth the investment isn't as immense. However, for the first time in a year, I felt the need to really push the Red Hot event for reasons I do not wish to disclose. For the first time I lost concentration. For the first time in a year, we pushed this mini event as if it were one of our larger ones.
Nonetheless, to my dismay on the morning of our event I woke up to a thunderstorm. A thunderstorm meant business would be futile. All day we kept our radar on, praying that the rain would go away. I had my fingers crossed, my legs crossed, even my eyes crossed that Mother Nature would be on our side. Amazingly, by the time we left to the club she had granted our wish, and what was left of the thunderstorm was nothing more than a mere drizzle. Unfortunately, we weren't off the hook just yet. 30 minutes later, the temperature dropped abruptly and she brought us SNOW..!!! You can only imagine my reaction thereafter.
However, due to a swift street team and all of our friends on Myspace (despite the cold) we had a decent crowd. So given the circumstances, we were pretty satisfied with the turnout. It also proves that our flyers got around because tons of people came dressed in RED. Plus, like last time, everyone got a kick out of the red glow bracelets; it was a pretty cool visual. =) Speaking of the glow bracelets, I have one last theme involving glow bracelets and then that'll be it. I have a haunch that event will be fun. More to come! =D
Thanks to my fabulous team: Team G Entertainment, The City Wide Kins, and all of our family and friends for promoting the event. And thank you to everyone that came out to support us. I hope you all had fun, and please feel free to send us your comments and questions. From all of us at G Entertainment, have a fabulous weekend.

Hello Everyone,
Here are the images from our Jungle Safari event back in October 2007. I wish I had more to say but considering it was so many events ago, I can’t remember what the highlights of the event were (except that everyone had a great time =D). Oh, and that I was able to conceal my protruding tummy, LOL. Anyway, thank you for the support, it was a success!!
Don’t forget to join us tomorrow night for the Mystical Senore event at Karma. See you all there. *kisses*
P.S. We currently have an idea in the works with a different business partner but until things are finalized, I’ll stay hushed about it- don’t want to jinx it.

I heard last night's Luminosity event at Karma Nightclub was an excellent turnout. I wasn't able to attend due to my situation but my team was out there working, and I was fairly pleased to receive a reply text saying, "Let's just say all your glow bracelets are out." after texting them to see how things were progressing. =D Darn! Too bad I failed to give Kookie a camera to shoot some footage; she said it was so cool to see all the glow bracelets swirling in the air. Oh well, thank you to all that came out to support us, I hope you had a fabulous time! And as always, big THANKS to my team Kookie and Dundy for holding it down even in my absence!

Only in Minnesota are people crazy enough to go clubbing when temperatures are 10 below. =D What's even crazier are the girls that run into the club half naked with NO jacket on. Holy! I was certain no one would show up for the Revitalize event at Karma last night due to the blistering cold, but was pleasantly surprised with the amount of people that actually did. The capacity wasn't nearly as great as other nights but given the circumstances, I was pretty pleased with the turnout. =D Originally I was afraid that we'd end up losing money and prayed that we at least even out even if we didn't walk away with a profit, but we sure did!!! Yes, only in Minnesota, LOL. Even I myself wouldn't dare go outdoors in such unbearable weather if I didn't have to. Well, what can I say? I simply love you CRAZY Minnesotans that know how to keep it HOT even when it's FREEZING outside. I must also add that I just love how Karma Fridays have become so diverse as of late. Thank you for the support!!! Big thanks to Theresa and Duache for running the event during my absence. You girls are fabulous!!! Our next event Luminosity will be held at Karma on February 8th. Arrive early to receive a FREE yellow glow bracelet. See you all there as we light up the night!!

Hello Friends/Fans!
I do apologize for being so behind on posting details and pictures from our events. I have been just so swamped and tired these days. No worries though, I shall get caught up soon enough. =D
In the mean time, here are two pictures of our gogo girls, the Rockstar Vixens at Myth nightclub during the City Wide Kin event Thanksgiving weekend. They are sizzling...! I couldn't resist posting them. Satisfaction Guaranteed!!!

Posted by: Julie Yang After this past weekend, I took some time to reflect on all these entertainment events that G Entertainment has hosted in 2007, and I've come to one conclusion: I don't think I can do it anymore. Really, I don't think I can deal with the repetitive routine stress of it all: the deadlines, the endless creation of new themes, the insolent bouncers, the drama, the dangers of foes facing off after imbibing on too much alcohol, the high risk and short lifespan of the business itself, the demanding and fickle marketplace, etc. Needless to say, the entire scene in general has just become too overwhelming and inappropriate for a person such as myself who should really be at home resting with my children. Thus, in 2008 I've submitted a NEW proposal and venturing in to a new investment opportunity, and no, it's not another of those "pyramid/proven success system/recruiting/networking" crap that I've continued to fail at. It's something totally out of the realm and the income to be earned will be based upon my luck alone. No worries, I shall mention it soon enough once I've mastered it. Jay and I have discussed it and I've informed him that after we complete this year's events I'd like us to discontinue hosting/promoting on a weekly basis. Well, me at least. Jay has always had a fascination for the nightlife while I on the other hand find it a bit mundane, and frankly, if I wasn't the driving force behind it, I probably wouldn't even bother with it. It was so much more fun and exciting and attracted so much more clientele when the events were conducted sporadically. Although the additional weekly earnings have been beneficial, it is all too exhausting to sustain and demands adroitness in managing internal finances and cash flow in order to meet operations and attain capital growth. This does not indicate that I will never participate in the entertainment industry again. I definitely want to continue hosting bigger events/concerts, working with other promoters, and assisting with prestigious exhibits that are touring into town. All I'm saying is, I need to invest into something more long-term and meaningful with the little time that I do have on hand and less into something that I'm not quite sure I'd want to do for the rest of my life UNLESS… I end up owning a chain of nightclubs in the future then that'll be a different story to go into. =P With that being said, here are our NEXT events for the month of November!! Join us if you've got some free time on your hands. =D

In the court of law! Why? Because we booked her and model Sunisa Kim three years ago (during Thanksgiving) for an event in Minnesota and they did a "NO SHOW". That's right! After paying her a ½ deposit, booking flights, hotel, and limo transportation along with major funds built around advertising, we got a worthless phone call about 4 hours before they were to land in Minnesota saying that they couldn't make it because there was an "emergency". All attempts to get in touch with her were unsuccessful from there on.
However, a journal entry posted by Sasha a few days later proved otherwise. There was nothing indicating an "emergency" or an apology why she (they) missed out on an event they were booked for nor did she offer an apology to her thousands of disappointed Minnesota fans. You know what was professed though? That she had imbibed on too much alcohol the prior evening and couldn't get up the next morning and that she was "surprised" all the turkey eating didn't help alleviate the terrible hangover. Busted!!! And damn right, I have copies of everything!
So what was the outcome? You mean other than a major blow from the crowd that injured our reputation? Well, for starters we're NEVER hiring freelance models ever again no matter how big they are. Well, I wouldn't consider someone like Sasha Singleton "big". She's no J-Lo, that's for sure!!! Secondly we lost the ½ deposit that was given to her and third, the flights that was booked in their name was credited to them and not us.
So is it worth quarreling over $2500? Let me ponder that one, as I can open this case any time- in small claims court of course! Believe me, this is no longer about the money, but about the principles involved. In a way maybe I'll just let the pathetic broad get away with it since it seems she's too cheap to repay us! However, I will let it be known to other promoters and the public what she's done to us. No offense, but I've given her many chances to get in touch with me but never once did she even attempt to contact me to resolve matters. She finally responded to one of our promoters and offered to host another one of our events at their expense. We agreed and left it at that. For one, it'll prove that we didn't produce false advertising from the beginning.
My last attempt to contact Miss Sasha was for an event back in Feb. 16th 2007, and guess what? Yep, there I went again, repeating the same cycle of trying to get in touch with her. Emailed her at two different accounts (which shows that they've been read) but NOTHING. Called and left her a message but NOTHING. So WTF??!!! You'd think someone with her status would be a little more mature, responsible, and professional about things. Luckily, we ended up booking one of Sasha's good friends, Christine Mendoza with promises from her manager, The P that she would make the show no matter what it took. Thank Goodness!!! Christine was nothing but FABULOUS!!!! Minnesota showed her so much love and because Christine wanted to go back home earlier than what was originally booked for her, I even went half on booking her an additional flight just so she could return ASAP, and gave her a tip as well for putting on a fantastic show. YOUR LOST SASHA!!! Well there are four choices to work with now. 1. They make up and complete what we paid them to do. 2. Compensate us for the amount we gave them and the flights that we paid for, which was granted to them. 3. Settle this in court. 4. Let it go, because it isn't enough to waste my time and energy.
Sasha Singleton

Sunisa Kim, not sure what part she played in the whole ordeal, but our one-time attempt to contact her was unsuccessful as well (Mind you, I'm mentioning Sasha mostly because she was the only contact from the beginning).

Your thoughts and inputs are very much appreciated. You may leave us a message. Thank you!

For those interested, please read up on the article in regards to the Birdie Concert and Hot Import Nights Afterparty hosted at Trocaderas on September 22, 2007 in the Asian American Press Newspaper. Hopefully the article will shed some light on what went wrong that evening. I can assure you that we have not let up on the case and will most likely be filing a lawsuit against Trocaderas.
P.S. Guy is actually the President of NGP, not G Entertainment, hehehe.
