Well here is a little something i did in 2 days. Obviously it was done pretty crudely but I had fun making it.

I loves the Kings of Leons last album but I think it was just a tad on the un-approachable side for some people. Maybe a little too country twang? I'll admit it took me a few listens to get into it.

This isn't the case with their newest offering "Because of the Times". I found it immediately likable without throwing their roots in the trash. The first 3 tracks are glorious. All quite diverse in their arrangements but equally great. Its a foot thumper of an album laced with some awesome riffs and great drums. The recording has a slight live vibe to it.

Check this one out if you feel like jumping up and down, then slowing way down. Very diverse and 100% good.

I was disappointed with this movie. I knew it wasn't going to be Saving Private Ryan part 2, and wasn't going to be non stop war action from start to finish but the only segments I enjoyed were in fact the war scenes. There aren't many of them. I'm not sure what it was about the more dramatic scenes where the soldiers are paraded around like Circus animals, and I'm sure the point of doing that was the show how war is portrayed to the people back home who can't witness the savagery in person. Still, I was left bored to tears and contemplated turning it off from time to time, but got brought back when they would flash to the scenes on Iwo Jima.

I didn't feel any attachment to the characters and that really killed Flags for me. Too bad, but i hear the second film from Eastwood "Letters from Iwo Jima" may be more up my alley.

Starring: Ryan Phillippe, Jesse Bradford, Adam Beach, Barry Pepper

I was wondering where the name for The Departed came from but it took a little while into the movie to see it. Very interesting. I guess in a way it sums up the end of this movie? I really enjoy this. All the critical praise lived up to its hype and I was thoroughly entertained. A few good spins caught me off guard. Some down and dirty violence, some excessive at times, but all adding to the overall tone of the film. Not one for the kiddies at all. There are many deaths and enough blood spatter to appease those people who crave shoot em ups.

This movie really shines with the superb acting. Its absolutely fantastic. Not one person flt out of place. Leo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholas are nothing short of brilliant. Matt Damon is even good! The rest of the cast do their jobs with tons of skill and emotion.

My favorite thing about the movie is their dependability upon cell phones. Its almost ludicrous how much they utilize text messaging and made me giggle. I think I will be watching this one again tomorrow. Go rent or buy it!!

Directed by: Martin Scorsese (Deserves an Academy Award)
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga, and Alec Baldwin

Wow, what a tv show! I was unsure of watching this series when it first came out but after hearing so many glowing reviews of season one, I had to check it out. Season 1 was amazing and totally pulled me into their universe, but season two totally takes things up a few notches.

Obviously you need to start this series from show one, the TV mini series released on dvd in 2003, then the regular season one. If you don't start from the beginning its just not the same. The action, the suspense, the twists in season two are incredible and I can't wait to crack into 2.5 tonight. I hear it just gets better and better.

If you are a scifi fan you need to watch this. Just frackin do it!!!

I could just tell I was going to love this film. I generally knew what it was about. I knew it had subtitles and I also knew it was critically acclaimed, but honestly that really means nothing to me. Sure if a movie gets tons of praise it will get my to buy a ticket but many many times i disagree with "professional" reviewers. This time I was right on board with them.

No to sound cheesy but this movie is magical. It completely took me away and i was enthralled from start to finish. Its full of cover your eyes gore, make your skin crawl creepiness, and awe inspiring fantasy.

Don't go into this expecting a Lord of the Rings experience as the tv commercials say. You aren't whisked away into another word for 2 hours. You are teased with small tid-bits of a dangerous underworld from time to time but for the most part this is an earth bound flick based around the Spanish Civil war and its effect on one girls family. Don't let that detour you. It is way beyond excellent. It has solidified my top spot for movie of the year and even though it son February I think it will be hard to move it for that position.

Warning though. This is not a film for anyone who is queasy or can't handle some very grotesque stuff. It is quite violent and made me feel wonky a few times but it all work in the films favor.
I loved this movie and will see it again.

SUPER BOWL XLI
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (15-4) vs. CHICAGO BEARS (15-3)
DATE: Sunday, February 4, 2007
SITE: Dolphin Stadium
KICKOFF: 6:00 p.m. (EST)
CAPACITY: 76,000
SURFACE: Grass

Taking aim for a fourth championship for one of the most storied franchises in the NFL's 87 seasons, the Indianapolis Colts, 15-4, meet the Chicago Bears, 15-3, in Super Bowl XLI on Sunday, February 4, 2007, at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida. Kickoff is 6:00 p.m. he 54-year history of the Colts stands proud in NFL annals with three prior world titles, eleven individuals enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and a logo as recognized as any in American sports. The Colts will try to capture a fourth title as they make a return trip to the Super Bowl after a 36-year absence. The Colts played in two of the first five Super Bowls, dropping a 16-7 upset verdict to the underdog New York Jets on January 12, 1969 in Super Bowl III, before topping the Dallas Cowboys, 16-13, on January 17, 1971 in Super Bowl V. Both games were played in Miami's Orange Bowl. The contest against the Jets actually was billed as the Third World Championship Game, but was later dubbed Super Bowl III. In avenging the loss to the Jets by topping Dallas two years later, the Colts pulled off then the latest game-deciding score in Super Bowl history. K-Jim O'Brien's 32-yard field goal with five seconds remaining capped a zany game and brutal defensive battle that housed eleven turnovers. The outcome gave the franchise its third title. The two prior Colts championships helped imprint the NFL on the American mindset. The Colts topped the New York Giants on December 28, 1959, 23-17 in overtime at Yankee Stadium. It was the first overtime affair in league history. Baltimore Head Coach Weeb Ewbank and 12 players from the game eventually became NFL Hall of Famers, while the contest became known as, 'The Greatest Game Ever Played.' The Colts became repeat champions a year later by taking a 31-16 victory over the Giants at Memorial Stadium.

The Colts are only team to make the playoffs seven times in the past eight years.

Thats was obviously all copied from Inianapolis Colts Official Site

I am a huge Colts fan and although they have had many close calls this playoff season I really think the Bears will be their easiest opponent. So go Colts!!!!!!!! Sunday will be Peyton Manning's first Super Bowl win and hopefully the first of many for him.

COLTS! COLTS! COLTS!

This was a very good movie and I really don't wan to spoil anything for anyone so i am going to keep it short. Children of Men has a very interesting and scary storyline to it. Its really makes you think.. What If??? What WOULD happen???

Te action sequences although not in abundance are incredibly well done and very real feeling. The future world is bleak, disturbing, and not one I want to see in my lifetime or anyones for that matter. Maybe movies like this will help people realize whats happening around us a bit more.

Directed by: Alfonso Cuarón
Starring: Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine

Pretty self explanatory... I didn't see nearly enough movies in the theater this year but enjoyed these 6.The music is all top notch if you ask me and Thom Yorke is ringing in my ears daily. Battlestar Galactica is just genius and I can't wait to see season 2 and 3.
