Current mood: EXTREME!
It's been awhile, but we've managed to put out a new issue, sans news updates. That might become a trend. Anyway, this update is quite a bit more... mature than most of our previous updates. Here's what we've got for you:
"Bad Accidents: The Polarizing Effect of 'Extreme Paranormal'" :Last Monday A&E brought the world a piece of television called
“Extreme Paranormal” that outraged pretty much everyone in the
paranormal community, but not for the reasons that the cast and crew
might have hoped for. In this special editorial, Greg Newkirk explains
why everyone from ghost hunting groups, to skeptics, to the “Citizens
for Community Values” are upset.. and why they’re justified. "The Fibonacci Sequence: Blueprint of Intelligent Design?" :For over 700 years scientists and mathematicians have studied the
mathematical curiosity known as the Fibonacci Sequence, many arguing
that it and it’s “perfect number” are a blueprint of intelligent
design. But is that really an accurate assumption? Dana Matthews gives
you a primer for making your own decision in an article aimed at *not*
exploding your brain. "WF? Interviews: Bill Konkolesky of Michigan MUFON" :The “Who Forted?” Collective sits down with the Michigan State Director
of the Mutual UFO Network at the Chicago Ghost Conference to learn more
about MUFON, hear about his personal experiences with alien abduction,
and get his views on the connections between seemingly unrelated
paranormal phenomena. Our first video interview!"Scott L.'s Guide To: Joining a Ghost Hunting Group"With the ever growing amount of ghost hunting societies popping up all
over North America, each with their own nuances and opinions, how can
anyone be certain of which group to join? Well you’re in luck, because
Ghostly Talk’s Scott L. has condensed years worth of wisdom into a
little piece designed to help you with just that problem.. As if these fantastic articles weren't enough to satiate your appetite, make sure that you join us tonight at 9PM EST for our second live viewing party of "Extreme Paranormal" by logging on to twitter and heading over to the party feed to hang out and share your thoughts as you watch. Last week's live party was, by all means, a hit.
So, here's your invitation:
1) Follow WhoForted on Twitter 2) Join the live feed (it automatically adds and aggregates the #ExtremePara hash tag) 3) Tell your friends!
Alright, there's your update. Now head over to the best damn paranormal 'zine on this here internet and read up. Tell your friends, and share your thoughts. We expect to see some commentary, ESPECIALLY on the "Extreme Paranormal" editorial.

Current mood: Amused
Hey folks! Just wanted to let everyone know about a little something we've cooked up tonight in honor of the premier of the "Extreme Paranormal" special on A&E. The special starts at 10PM EST, so starting around 9:00PM EST, we're going to be hosting a live tweet event that anyone can follow and participate in to talk about the special.
If you're not familiar with the special, it features an old GHI member by the name of Jason Gowin, so we're particularly interested to see how it turns out. Here's the official synopsis from the producers:"In "Extreme Paranormal" – Shaun, Nathan, and Jason are irreverent
paranormal explorers who investigate chilling local legends, attempting
to seek the truth by provoking spirits. Unlike other paranormal
investigators, they put themselves directly in harm’s way – taunting
ghosts, summoning the dead and daring the demonic to attack.
“Extreme
Paranormal” gives rabid paranormal fans the ride they’ve always wanted:
the chance to follow a team that dares to challenge legends, curses,
and hauntings by actually attempting to provoke paranormal activity." There's also a gem about "kicking sand in demon's faces for ten years" or something to that effect. You can see why this deserves a live "Who Forted?" tweet event, right?SO, everyone who has a twitter account (if you don't, get one - five minutes @ Twitter.com) follow WhoForted and pay close attention to the #ExtremePara hashtag; use it in your tweets if you plan on participating while you watch. If you're a stubborn old coot and you don't like this newfangled twitter thing, you can follow along with everyone at http://twubs.com/extremepara/ We'll see you guys tonight during the event! Have fun!
Love,
"Who Forted?"

You can follow us! www.twitter.com/whofortedWe've had the account for almost a year, but haven't really gotten busy with it until lately. And wouldn'tcha know it, we finally start paying attention to it and within 20 minutes we're already blocked by Brian Harnois and called out by Chris Moon.
Regardless of the amusingly angry para-people, expect lots of fun things like contests (yes, free stuff, and not shitty free stuff either) exclusively for the twitter crowd. Besides, we've got some great things coming down the pipeline (hint: fantastic videos), and twitter will be the first place to catch the updates.
And if nothing else has convinced you to check it out, there's a few semi-nude photos of Nick Foust in there somewhere.
See ya on twitter!

So we finally got around to getting a new issue of WF out, and it only took like three months. But hey, we have legitimate reasons. A stolen laptop will put a heck of a kink in your plans. Being on the road doesn't help much either. And hey, it's already been out for like two days. Slacker. Anyway, we're back at it, and hopefully we can keep some momentum. Check out what we've got for you in the latest issue of the greatest free online paranormal magazine. - Laguna Beach producers cast new reality show, causes a stampede of hideous middle-aged women. A dude woman wins.
- Gambia locks up over 1,000 witches
- Stick-Men from space terrorize people's back yards
- Iceland's National Elf Service. It actually exists
- An anonymous paranormal "celebrity" spills the beans, but does it matter?
- An X-Man exists. And he's really boring in real life.
- The most hilarious search terms used to find the WF website
- Derek Accorah is really terrible at forseeing the future
- WF announces their first contest!
- Some news about the current WF roadtrip
- Smudging. New age tomfoolery or cunning spiritual tactic?
- WF Reviews "Man of the Mountain" on DVD
- And finally, a brand new video featuring [deleted] and [deleted]It's all brand new, and it's all in the latest issue of "Who Forted?" - The online paranormal magazine that comes out when it wants to.
CHECK IT OUT

So yeah, we promised that there would be a new issue of Who Forted? out today, but we're going to have to recant that on the account of a few unavoidable acts of God - including the impending destruction of the TAPS Family. You read that correctly. I won't go into much detail, but I will say that this issue is deserving of an article in and of itself and that is something that we've started devoting our time to covering. We were going to have a bunch of great articles written by some guest contributors, and a nice WFNews update complete with this video of creepy ass walking stick men.Instead, we're taking care to get the full story on how TAPS, in the last week, has taken to quietly firing and replacing it's TAPS Family managers, and even removing entire teams from their roster without so much as a "why". If you're a TAPS Family team, you might be next. Got some info to add to the story? Drop us a line at whofortedblog(at)gmail(dot)com and we'll include it. Why are they doing this and what does it have to do with "Collargate"? What does this mean for the TAPS name and the teams tied to it? Who's the inside spy and what does he have to do with internet pedophiles (<-- not a joke)? Stay tuned, dear readers... we'll tell you everything we know as soon as we can. Love, GHI and the "Who Forted?" Family

So, as most of you know by now, there hasn't been a new issue of "Who Forted?" out in, oh, a bit over a month. This is due to the big move to Chicago (which we're smack in the middle of..), but a little bit of adaptation (and a new laptop) and we're set to get back to regular updates on the road or off. After logging back into myspace and checking our email, I've come to one conclusion: damn, did we pick a good time to take a break or what? It doesn't look like we've missed a thing. Never fear, because this Monday WF returns with a jam-packed update on everything relevent to the weird, odd, and unexplained. Just thought we'd give you a heads up. Keep your eyes peeled to www.whofortedblog.com! - The paranormal magazine for everyone else.Love, GHI and the "Who Forted?" Staff

"Who Forted?" is Back! After a three week break from the scene, the WF writers are back with a jumbo sized update to the free online paranormal magazine that's giving Haunted Times and TAPS Paramag a run for it's money. Literally. Have you seen how desperate they are to sell their $7.00 magazines, lately? In this economy, that's expensive toiletpaper. I guess you just can't beat free, especially when the content is better than the drivel you'd pay for. So what can you expect in this big update? Allow us to give you a taste: - Telepathic DNA,
- The psychic children of crazy celebrities
- A TAPS member pulls a Britney Spears, and we've got the pictures
- The possible end of random exorcisms
- Satanic worship on the rise
- GWAR hates Psychic Kids
- Some credible 2012 hysteria via NASA
- Sasquatch conspiracies
- Debt collecting witches
- The Vatican’s secret list of the worst sins ever
- A public relations firm for the paranormal community pops up
- A car thief turns into a goat
- Bri[deleted]ois whines in retard jibberish for two hours
- A weird organism is removed from some guy’s spineAnd that's just the news! We've also got: - An exclusive response to the Paranormal State "Lady Vampire" episode from Dawn, the very mother featured in the episode
- A look at the Dylatov Pass Incident, a little known mystery that baffles everyone to this day
- And an exclusive video that features Bria[deleted]nois forgetting to turn his webcam off after a show. Great stuff. So what are you waiting for? Head over to whofortedblog.com and get started, we've got some catching up to do.
