On this, World AIDS Day, we think about those we have lost to this relentless disease, friends, family, lovers, children we never knew, and I find myself wondering...How Much Longer? When will it end? One person cannot change the world or find a cure, but as a team we can make a difference. And there are a group of us I refer to as Team Carangi, who does all they can, no matter how small, to help in this battle.
It is for this reason, we at
Gia Carangi Online have started the Virtual AIDS Quilt. Anyone can design their own panel (400X250) and add it to the quilt, or,if you are unable to design a panel, simply fill out the form on the page and tell us what you would like the panel to say, colors, items you would like to see on the panel, etc., and we will design it for you. The
Virtual AIDS Quilt isnt just another web page. It pays tribute to the loved ones, the heroes we have known, loved and lost. Please take a moment to check it out, and add a panel.
Also, please check out
Gia's Hope. All monies raised through this project and organization will be donated to AIDS causes most in need. It doesnt have to be a lot. Believe me, a dollar goes a long way. Once we attain out Not For Profit status, all donations will be tax deductable. If it come from the heart, please make a donation.
Our thoughts and love and prayers go out to all of those living with HIV or AIDS....and somehow, together, we will continue to believe in the promise for a cure!
