OMG

I'm melting!

It's so damn hot.

That's all, Happy New Year everyone, and Cannibal Happy Birthday!!

Monday, November 19, 2007

Here's some Q & A's.

Why oh why does it have to be soo damn hot?

Because this is the arse end of the world!

And why does it have to be hot and overcast?

Because!

And why can't it cool down heaps when the sun buggers off?

Because of all the damn concrete and metal and tarmac and cars and housing and... (need I go on?)

That's right people Girgoyle does not, repeat NOT like the HOT weather, she would quite happily put up with temps being between 10 and 25 degrees. She wouldn't even mind a little bit chillier.

PS. I thought I'd also share this with you all. I bought a fan today and you know how you browse through the instructions just to make sure you at least look like you know what you're doing, right? And you soon realise that whoever wrote the instruction book has very little understanding of english language structure eg; 'place nut on bolt and turn till tight'  will be structured like 'nut on bolt place and tight turn' right? Well I had to assemble my fan, no biggie and the instructions actually made sense, SHOCK horror, except for one diagram where it pointed out where the "Protruding Indents" where.

Keep it real. And keep it cool.

You've just got to love Australia.

I mean if you were an insect, it would be 7th heaven. As we approach summer I'm starting to find lots more creepy crawlies around the house. Fantastic! NOT!

Currently I'm waiting for Mr White Tail to come out from hiding under a small pile of paper behind me so we can play "How squished can I get?".

One thing's for sure and that is I'm glad I don't have any carpeting in this house.

Well, okay two things are for sure, the above mentioned and that I'll be buying some surface spray tomorrow, especially since I've just had to squish two ants on my keyboard just now. Make that three.

Good night and don't let the bed bugs bite!!

I'm back!

Miss me everyone?

I'm mostly settled in in my new digs, still have a few unopened boxes floating around awaiting my attention but hey, they aren't going anywhere, anytime soon.

This is just a note to state the obvious, that I'm back online.

Keep it real.

Current mood:  anxious

Well things are looking good, I hope the past doesn't rear it's ugly head though.

I got a call from the rental agency saying that the landlord has OK'd the application, but my application is waiting for the NTD (National Tenancy Database) check to see if I'm worthy. Which is why I'm hoping that my spell with a certain a**hole hasn't screwed up future rental applications, now to my certain knowledge it shouldn't. I left the a**hole and moved back into the house of M & D and under legal instruction told the rental agency (I can't remember their name) the situation and was advised to write a letter explaining the situation that I no longer lived at that address, and to have it co-signed by a**hole, which I did.

Sooo, fingers crossed that it will show that on the NTD, otherwise... *sigh* I don't know.

Well I'm still searching for a not too shabby, not too expensive place to live, so have kinda not been on lately.

Ciao

Current mood:  blah

Yes, I know before anyone goes "Finally!" it has been quite hectic at work and at home. Work was due to spring and a new layout and home, well, I now have to look for a new one as the landlords want to sell up. Just to make life interesting and amusing, they rang my house mate and told her on the 20th (sept.) that they were going to sell the house, it's the first we've heard from them in a long time, so since then, we've been checking out the local area hunting for the 'ideal' place (btw, we are going our seperate ways).

A house evaluer did pop round for a total of five minutes last sunday, let's just say that the landlords haven't done much to the house since we moved in and they did say they'd come down and slowly fix it all up. Things like the wood plank covering up the gaping hole of the no longer gas wall furnace, the plastered but not painted termite inspection holes, the wooden (but gappy) boards in the kitchen bench where there was a gas hot plate. The evaluer left with a wry smile muttering about the house needing a lot of work. We already know.

ANYWAY

That's it, we've heard nothing more from the landlord since the inital phone call. At this rate we will have found ourselves new homes and they will end up paying rent on their current home and the mortgage for this house with no rental income to help themselves out. But guess what, I don't care.

I'm just rattling on now, cause I'm tired, was called last night at 8pm to see if I could do overnight manager, I said "alright" thinking to myself  penalties!!! but  didn't get all that much sleep considering, will be starting at 3am tomorrow morning for another dose of night manager, although I will sleep up my sleeve.

Hmmm... I apologize if none of this makes anysense.

Actually, no I don't.

Current mood:  content

Well have only just put down Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. WOW!

No don't panic I will reveal nothing! Just like OMG, I knew that about Snape's character, also I knew what would generally happen at the end. That's all I'm prepared to write about that book.

Well done JK Rowling, even though it was a case of better late than never.
