Can't sleep tonight, it's 4:00am in Hong Kong.
After a two week vacation, now, I can't get back to my normal hours in Hong Kong. Let me write something about my trip.
The first day - alone - in London - Earls court After check in to the "mini" room, I started going out with my tired body, finding ways to call my family, trying to ask the guy in the internet cafe to unlock my mobile, finally, nothing is done. I feel tired and thristy, and hungry, goto buy some water and food, my first meal after a long flight, I can't believe what I ate - Burger King hahahahahaha A whopper and onion rings, then, just goto bed, plan to goto the Tate on tomorrow.
The second day - alone - London - Tate Modern Wake up early, someone call in my room, my gf...oh, I am in room 17... can't get a hold to my family, so, just ask my gf to tell them I'm safe after a long flight. Just have a cup of coffee and goto the tube, get off near St. Paul Catherdal, then walk thru the millieium bridge, what a sunny and beautiful day! What a fun and cool Museum. The feature exhibits are - Kandinsky and Pierre Hydue. I really like Pierre's crazy mind - the two big - spinning - running - white door and all those crazy videos, day to celebrate in a year! Another artwork that catch my attention is the clock! a picture of a clock and a real clock... object and mechanism and time - can't think if what the artist is thinking! After the visit of Tate, is already 4:00pm, have dinner in a restaurant called Grafunkel, a grill (burnt) chicken penne... then walk on the tower bridge and see the Big Ben and London eye along the river, what a beautiful scene, never forget that night!
The thrid day - with my friend, Vincci Finally, I get a hook on someone who lived in London, my old colleague - Vincci! Just goto the Oxford street to buy some stuff, then, goto the National protrait museum, lots of protraits! new and old - amazing! then, is the National Art Gallery - Monet's painting - the Irises is the most attractive one in there. You will never forget his painting everytime you see them in the museum. Trafalgar Square, the place i met Vincci again! She brought me to a cafe near Convent Garden, don't know the name, but it's near "Mary Poppins" - the place that this show took place. After a long talk, she brought me to a graphic book store and to covent garden - the market, there was a guy who played a show there, being up on the sky and throwing his knives and apple and fire torch...crazy! Later on is the curry dinner in brick lane, what a wonderful dinner with Vincci and Panny, but I feel guilty as they treat me and don't even let me pay:P anyways, it's fun to meet her again.

Finally, I made it...talk to her, well, I guess lots of "hers", the chat room finally works on yesterday - 20th May 2006, a Saturday morning 6:50am, talking to people who mostly addicted to the "Saving Face" with their super girls in the movie who played wil and vivian. well, for their real name, just goto the movie Database to check it out! I wonder why Joan Chen was not in a part of them...I mean I guess I want to talk to her though, since her act was the soul of this movie, without her, everything just doesn't work... still remembered the scene that she's with wil in the bathroom saying she's not going to the date. She is really cool, I really wanna know what joan was like in her old movies, since I haven't seen any. She must be an interesting person as she got lots of things happened in her life, a life to live in two different cultures. After the chat, I went to see Da Vinci Code with my dear friend, elepanca - what a wonderful name - only I will know about the code of her name! Anyways, what I have to say about this movie is - WASTING MONEY, how can you invest so much money on making this type of "finding Jesus' blood/relatives" movie? Let see how hollywood ruined Audrey Tautou by making her to play this type of role and speak English with a french accent, I missed what she was like in Amélie - a movie I never get tired of watching. Another case is Jean Reno, I dunno why after he get into the Hollywood, most of his role is a police/cop? I hope Luc Besson never directed hoolywood movies, cos' I really love the movie that he directed ages ago, like the Big Blue and Leon, my all time favourites. After the movie, Elepanca just start making joke about how silly the movie was, how silly that "APPLE" is setted as the code to open the box...hahaha, yeah, the movie drive me nuts! After the movie, I went out to have a coffee with my girlfriend, we have a good chat and we talked about how Dan Brown wrote about a story that based on a lie that people made long time ago and create this Da Vinci heat around the world...and we dicuss what maketing is about now, in this days, people can't see much of what they really want in life! What a good chat, I love to spend an evening with someone that I can shared about my thoughts. And we saw a little kid driving his own car on the street, he looked so cool since he got a car when he was 4 years old! and his driving skills aren't bad at all:) Another weekend had passed, call my mom today, she and my sister are visiting my brother who lived in LA, what's the life in LA is like? Hollywood life?

Have a really great dinner tonight! It's about my long lost friend, she is Alice, she is a teacher, a crazy teacher who teached in a primary school. I didn't know her, not until now. Actually, she studied with me in the same class, when I was 3 years old...1982, so, after 24 years, we start having a good conversation, it will never be too late to have a good chat with your friends.
A big news! San san is going to get marry on October, but what scared us is - we won't have enough time to do all the stuff at once! And I figured out the Chinese Wedding is all about the game of parents and money. Wedding will be like a performance, living together will be like the SIMS (since they didn't even look for a house, that's what I think...we are not like the SIMS, your house won't build in an hour) But still feel happy and excited to share her stories.
Vivian Chow, the star that we saw after dinner in CausewayBay, actually, Alice know her, and we think that she must need someone to take a picture for them...so, we look like an idiot to take our camera out...like some secret FBI, then, that's the end! we didn't do anything:P
Vivian Tsang, the girl I talk about with Cynthia, she lived in Boston and has a school to teach piano...and is going to marry on July, too! so, how about me? when'll I get marry?
Finally I told cynthia about us, she doesn't care, I know, I am the one who is too stubborn to live in the 21st century, me, myself is the only one who cares about how people think about me...*siilllllyyyyy*

Today is saturday, 6.5.2006 just wake up at 7:30am, I'm longing to have the chat with lynn and michelle, so, on last night, I keep reminding myself to wake up early...and I made it!
I think about some questions to ask, but figured out what should I ask them? That's the question I want to ask:
1> do you like sushi? (I came up with this idea on last night which I have a shushi dinner in Genki)
2> What makes your day happy? (well, that sounds interesting for me?)
3> Did you guys ever have a moment feel like, "oh, I don't want to be an actor anymore! it's so stress and the role in hollywood for us are so silly... ..." and what made you to be so determined on your career? (I think this is really a serious question, which I am facing now in my career??? 0_O)
and more questions i wanted to ask.... so the story is, the chatroom opens at 8:50am(Hong Kong time), I login, and we start talking, suddenly, Lynn sign in....and...the chat room crashed...well, of cos' is not her fault, it must be too many people want to join, I think they r getting famous now. This remind me of my dream on last night, I was in a classroom, rushing to join the chatroom, but I'm too late, couldn't login, seems like a horrible nightmare, then I wake up...7:30am
A funny scene, that I can put in my story book?
My mom called later at 1030am, she went to the doctor to have a body check, she got high blood pressure, I know she worried about her heallth, and was trying to change her habit to make herself healthy, I am happy to see her to have courage to make changes in her life. I hope I can learn from her, even she always is so moody, I know she wants to draw our attention, well, my girlfriend would never understand a chinese mom.
Gotta have dinner with my old friends on tonight 7:30pm, hope I can have some good conversation with them, since I become an isolated person now.
cheer up goldie, don't be moody :P

watch this movie last night... again at 9:30pm, The cultural Arts Centre. Me and you and Everyone we know, Miranda July is the director, she is also an artist, the main role of this movie. The story of this movie is like something you'd see in your life, there must be some people like them around our life, but for some reasons, no one will put them in movie like Miranda does, not even like the way she says the story about someone we know in life, so raw, artistic, touching...just love it! goto their website, and you'll find more, the soundtrack is the thing you shouldn't miss, too! Me and you and Everyone we KnowAfter the movie, get on a ferry to go back home, saw Cecilia Yip Tung, well, that reminds me 6 years ago, when me and Sarah watched "the idots" at the same place, she just sit next to us. - Match Point - is it all about luck in your life or is about hard-working? Chris said is luck, but I think is about hard-working,too, if he doesn't think about how to make his plan to shoot nola or if he doesn't take the move, he'd get in big trouble! But after that, it's all about his luck!
I really like the way of how Woody Allen say his story, this time again, is about an affair, love and lust, how to choose? love and lust and money and status...lots of things to choose in life, can you get them all?
Last night in the Cultural Art centre, 9:50pm, that's the movie I watched. and saw some familiar faces like Darren and his gf? and yeung, too...well, you can run into someone so easy in Hong Kong. Anyways, this is the movie, match point, the ring... ...

Today, is the sixth year anniversary of meeting my girlfriend. A day after April Fool's day. I can't believe finally we can live together on last year, we haven't think about this on the day we met, but things just happened, and I am happy to be with her.
1st April 2003 - a day that Leslie passed away three years ago,(In March 2003, is the time when SARS attack, never forget the time when all of us have to wear a mask to work, get so scared when anyone get sick) that year is a mess for everyone who live in Hong Kong, remember that evening, I was in the office working, around 6:00pm, there was a news coming from the radio said Leslie Cheung commit suicide at the Mandarin Hotel, at first, everyone thinks that is a joke for the April Fool's day, then later, we know it's real. Even now, we don't know why Leslie do this, but the fact is, I know he got his reasons, but I really want to tell him that he is the greatest artist I know since I was 10. He doesn't care about how people think about him, he came out from the closet and tell people that he was gay, he still enjoy his life, I'll always remember the time when our whole family goto see your concert, and you said, you'll open a coffee shop, everyone got the ticket can get a free drink, I still remember this! hey, leslie, I want to tell you Ang Lee's - movie - Brokeback mountain become so popular now, so, things will change on the coming days, just let you know...and ... *shout*
***how are you there? We miss you!***
I believe April Fool's day is a big day for my family, too. Cos' that's the day my parents get married...so...will there be anything more important happen on this day?

Last night, got a call from yan in London. Since she was frustrated about her life in RCA, and feel stressed, she doesn't understand how a person can live with hiding their feelings to others, well, for me, I'm not surprised that those people do exist and I think because of the background of how they raised would affect their personalities, of course, you can choose to understand them, if you feel really hard to talk to them, just forget about it! Except they start hurting your feelings and drive you nuts!
Anyways, I am so happy to talk to her, even our topic is always around design and school and da da da...just miss the time when she teach us in the design school. Hope she can keep on and let go of those bad feelings, cos' life is hard in some moment, it can be Fun, too if you know how to manage your emotions and share with others. Oh, it's too serious now, it's morning time, gotta go to work...-_-" l-a-t-e (again)

Current mood: curious
Today. Got some good news from my friend, Ada, she called and tell me she's going to get marry and have a wedding banquet on next year...and she invited me to go (well, I just think about, WHAT? Next Year?)...seems so long for me to plan this out, but the fact was, I really don't think that I can sit in a banquet with no one else that I know in there...I just say, maybe I am not going...*oh, my god*, then, she seems so angry with me and think that I'm such an asxhxle...cos' she thinks that I should go becos' I'm her friend? well, I don't know how to react, maybe I am just a social-phobia person? After I talk to my gf, what she think about is-I am scared of marriage. For me, I think marriage is just some paper, some commitment, even without marrige, I can be the same, why I need those things? Becos' of my family? of the others' feelings? moral? how about us? what's the point for 2 girls to get marry and have banquet? and hurt my parents in front of my relatives? I dunno what's about marriage, cos' I think it's just for certain type of people, people who believe in fairy tale and love to goto Disneyland. Anyways, maybe someday I'll change... who knows?
Another thing come up to my head, I got a brief from my boss, and it's about a fashion store campaign, we start discussing about the 60s style, about the Rock & Roll stuff, when we start talking about this, I got a question, this fashion store's market is in Mainland, Do they know what's going on in the 60s? since they'r in the cultural revolution, they seems like they shut down all the doors to the outside world, what remains in their mind about 60s is just some horrible memories, so, do they really know about the style in the 60s, do they know about Beatles, John Lennon, David Bowie, Glam Rock... ...? or in their lives, their 60s are so much different from the rest of us? That's why their way of thinking or their style or their arts are so different from us now, so, it's interesting to know how the generation who grow up in the 60s in mainland China is like...how the history influence their lives and their mind...and for them, 80s style is the most popluar thing, now. So, I understand how they think about trends...and the definition of contemporary for them must be different from us, in Hong Kong, cos' we are raised by the United Kingdom Government. Well, we got another issues.
Can't think that much tonight, goodnite.

Philip Seymour Hoffman - best Actor in Capote, you made it! Do you guys still remembered him in The Big Lebowski & Magnolia? Well, maybe not? But he was in lot's of movies, too. He's someone that people normally won't get an eye on, but, he's always really great on acting, not a supporting role this time, but in a lead. Anyways, really want to see Capote and Crash now, longing for good movies...and missing pop-corn in the cinema. My choice on the coming Hong Kong International Film Festival: >Sketches of Frank Gehry >C.R.A.Z.Y. >Me and You and Everyone we know >Match Point >Storm >Viktor & Rolf: Because We're worth it! >Don't Come Knocking
