Our album has just been released on KSR in Japan so just want to say a big thank you to everyone who is supporting us over there.

Hello,
It's been a hectic couple of weeks since the Album came out... we've been up and down the country like Yo Yo's gigging and DJing...
Thanks to everyone who came to see our in-store gigs at Fopp in Sheffield and London... the Sheffield gig was brilliant but bizarre!. It was lovely, playing to such a diverse group of people... the London Fopp gig was equally abstract, that place is huge, we played in the Bar/Cafe... a Bar in a record shop... now y'er talkin'! Thanks to all the people that came down especially to see us and thanks to all the passers by who stayed and bought our album.
Our Gig at the Roundhouse was pretty Hectic... what a venue! it was great to see some of you down the front singing along, unfortunately we had to leave as soon as we finished to get back up north for a DJ Set at Urban Gorilla... we had an amazing time there as always... that was the climax to a mad few days in the life of Grandadbob!
Since then, we've done another Dj Set at one of our favorite nights out ever... 7 by Seven @ The Forum, Sheffield... what a night!

So thank you to everyone who entered the competition to win the recorder we used to record 'Hide Me' (plus some other goodies).
We have picked a winner at random... it is MOIROB from Leeds... well done!
Sorry to everyone else... we'll be giving away more prizes very soon, we also plan to announce our own monthly Sheffield night shortly, we'll keep you posted...

We're playing some in-store gigs at Fopp in Sheffield and London next week!

- Wednesday, September 27th Fopp, Sheffield, 40 Division Street, 5pm.

- Thursday, September 28th Fopp, London, 240 Tottenham Court Road, 6pm.

The Amazing news is...
We have been chosen for 3 imminent dates supporting the UK's finest hat-wearing music maverick... Badly Drawn Boy!
We'll be opening shows for him at The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham this Friday the 8th, King Tut's in Glasgow on Saturday 9th and at The Zodiac in Oxford on Wednesday September 13th.
As far as we can see, Nottingham and Glasgow are sold out but there were some tickets left for the Oxford show at the time of writing this.

The Bad news is...
Unfortunately we've had to cancel our performance at Bestival as the logistics involved in getting the whole band and equipment from the Isle Of Wight to Glasgow in only a few hours proved too risky to attempt.
We know that lots of you were looking forward to seeing us there and we are truly sorry to have to let you down

Hi Bob Friends,

As our intensive run of August festival gigs comes to an end, we would
like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to see us
play... we are eternally grateful and touched by the incredibly warm
reception we've been getting all across the UK!

If you haven't made it to a gig... never mind, there'll be plenty more
and our album's out very soon... it'll be like having us play in your
living room!

The Belladrum festival in Inverness has to be the craziest and one of
the best Gigs we've ever played, we forgot just how up for it scottish
crowds are!

We were the last band on at the festival so our tent was totally packed
to the rafters... it was amazing to see the whole crowd jumping up
and down at the end of the set! We can't wait to return to Scotland,
hopefully later this year sometime!

Bloom was also very very cool and chilled... a perfect end to our
August festivals, it was set in a beautiful
location in Wiltshire with peacocks wandering around everywhere... we
even saw one flying, it scared the b'Jesus out of us!

***Competition***
To mark the end of this fantastic month, we have our "Up North Album
Launch" on the 26th August at The Plug, Sheffield.
We'd love to see you there but understand that not everyone can get to
Sheffield, if you can make it, we have 2 places on the guest-list to
give away...
