Despite some apparent scheduling confusion which caused us to go on much later than originally communicated (sorry to those of you who had to leave before we even got to go on~ Ellen, Beth, Otis, etc.), last night was a great time!  The crowd was great (and thirsty!).  Thanks to everyone who came out, to the very talented Jonna Lee, and thanks to Rachel Z. & co. for letting us play.

so, we had a show last night.  more of a last minute thing, or so.  Rory from the Space tipped us off to a slot opening, and we took it.  we're glad we did.  incidently, it was the first show with our new bass-monster, Greg C.  he layed down some serious brick last night, fo~shizzle.  he was also kind enough to stay with the equip while Dre, Dave and myself  left to take in some fine food over at some joint called Blues.  It's true; while Greg sat around, looking pretty, the three of us were wined and dined by the fine folks at Blue's.  once an auto body shop (or some shithole you'd go to get yer oil changed at), Blue's serves some mean-good food and has amazingly kind wait-staff.  we will return at some point in the future and revisit the loving vibes.  but, I digress...

The opening band was entertaining.  Greg ate the chicken wings we brought back to him, while we watched some red-headed 16-year old dance around a band of kids with surprisingly good chops.  yes, i said 'chops'.

Much love to Eric, the sound man, who recorded our set through the board.  turns out, he's also a really nice dude.  Thanks, Eric.  Also, much love to the gal who set Dre and Dave up with some potent coffee right before we went on.  probably a bad idea to give the drummer a load of caffeine before playing a set, but he kept the tempo real, and we did ok.  we played a great set that included a brand new song that I don't know the name of, but i think it has to do with politics, because at one point Dre says something about 'the government'.  that's my guess.  the song rocks and you should feel slightly less good about yourself if you were in the Hamden area and missed the set.

the band Cavern finished the night, and we were impressed.  they were fun.  admittedly, we didn't catch a lot of their set, but what we heard was good and they were very cool to us, so that goes a long way.

by now, you've probably figured out that we have no pictures from the night, so i'm trying to compensate by typing all this nonsense.  granted, we'll have pics from our show this saturday at Sully's.  until then, just imagine a bunch of sweaty hunks churning out mad rock.  that should keep you busy...

For your viewing pleasure; pictures from the second night of our little mini-tour through New England ("mini" meaning two shows).  We played for the extremely awesome, incredibly friendly and well-imbibed crowd at Station 319 in Somersworth, NH.  We opened for a band of brothers (no shit) called Exit 7.  great guys, great skills, good song selection (hardest working cover band in all of Somerworth, I'm sure).  Thanks for Boyd for hooking us up on the bill, the crowd at Station 319 for being good people, the band, and our friends who turned out to show love and support (Will, Lauren, Karen, Sarah, Kate, Mike et al).  Very special thanks to the Somersworth PD for being good at what they do with out being fucking dickheads.

Thank you to everyone who came out to see us at the mighty Geno's (Will, you are the man), especially those of you who drove all the way up from Connecticut!  We played with the crazy chicks and dude in Sinferno and a band from Canada called The Johnsons.  Rock was made, booze consumed and love was felt.  Thank you, Portland.
