Harmonica player Grégoire Maret is an accomplished musician whose proficient skills are based in jazz, but have found him in demand across various genres.
Born in Geneva, Switzerland in 1975, Maret studied music at both the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Genèvethe and the New School in New York City. After graduating, Maret found work performing with such artists as David Sanborn, Cassandra Wilson, Me'Shell Ndegéocello, and many others. He was even featured in director Frédéric Baillif's 2005 documentary Sideman. Maret has also appeared on albums by Kurt Elling, Jacky Terrasson, Steve Coleman, and many more. The album Scenarios, a duo album by Maret and pianist Andy Milne, was released by the ObliqSound label in 2007. In 2012, Maret returned with his self-titled debut album as leader on the Entertainment One imprint. ~ Matt Collar
