Henry Turner, Jr. & Flavor have three new albums scheduled for future release on Mr. Turner’s own Hit City Record label: Louisiana Soul, Back to the Funky R&B and A Man and His Acoustic Guitar featuring the new smooth jazz instrumental “Home Again” by Henry Turner, Jr. These albums will be somewhat of a departure from the band’s famous reggae and funk sound. As Mr. Turner noted in a recent interview with Island Fusion Magazine, www.islandfuse.com,  “This particular record (Louisiana Soul) will focus on traditional Louisiana funk and R&B soul rhythms which I have not been able to do for a while because I was busy focusing on including reggae in everything I recorded. But this will have reggae far in the back almost undetected but felt.”

Louisiana Reggae/Funk stars Henry Turner, Jr. & Flavor have returned from their successful annual West Coast Tour and are back home in Louisiana to participate in the 17th. Annual Cutting Edge Music Business Conference & Roots Music Gathering in New Orleans, August 26-30, an outstanding event featuring panels, discussions, seminars, networking opportunities with music industry leaders and much more.

The Flavor band has been featured on such outstanding events as Bobfest (formerly the Bob Marley Tour); the Peter Tosh Celebration Tour; the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival; Reggae on the Mississippi, The Louisiana Stage, International Heritage Celebration, which Mr. Turner produced, and many others.
